Ghost King Danny going on adventures and diplomatic missions across the multiverse to either stop conflicts that create an influx of ghosts, to stop others from punching a hole into the Infinite Realms like his parents or create an alliance.

During some of his adventures and missions Danny somehow gains a fiancee or wifes. Most of the time it's to strengthen alliances just like with his wife Yasaka leader of the yokai in her dimension. Other times it's because he accidentally courted using their traditions like with Princess Looma.

It's gotten to the point that every time he goes away his fiancee and wife's bet on whether or not he brings someone home

MAYBE THIS IS STRETCH but I feel like shang qinghua would have the same problems with demons could some would see his mannerisms as flirtish even though he would see it as sucking up and self-preservation

i love writing about shen qingqiu flirting with people but not knowing he does it, and never realizing what effect it has on people or when they flirt back

for instance, he doesn't quite have a grasp on the usage of flowery, poetic speech yet, so he uses it in ways that are more suggestive than he means to. he compliments liu qingge's fighting style but the words he uses are "dancing like a snow lotus in the high mountain gales" and liu qingge turns so red shen qingqiu thinks he has a fever. he also said to wei qingwei that if only he was better a guqing player he would capture the sound of his laughter (wei qingwei has a boisterous laugh and this was meant to be teasing) and wei qingwei lay awake for three nights thinking about that.

he'd try to banter with yue qingyuan in the sort of taunting style of the original sqq, but in doing so accidentally strays into "shixiong should just bring his pillow and move in with how much he visits" "well if shidi insists" territory, and he doesn't realize it.

he pretends to be jealous when liu qingge goes on a mission with someone else, saying things like "shidi is having so much fun with [other peak lord], am i not enough? has my heart been traded for another?" with a fake pout that's supposed to be playful, but that inadvertently causes liu qingge to only accept missions with him or by himself, and of course shen qingqiu keeps digging this hole deeper by then acting flattered when liu qingge invites only him to the hunt.

he also definitely goes a little shakespearean sometimes to be dramatic, but people take that serious too. one time shang qinghua was too busy to read/write with him, so he complained to whoever listened, "the cruelty of his words have ripped my heart asunder, never again will i feel joy from what has now turned to sorrow", and two days later shang qinghua asks him what the hell he said to make half of the peak lords show up angry at his house like scorned lovers

in my mind he has also made a "chain me to the bed to have your way" kind of comment about his without a cure treatment, because mu qingfang added twenty new concoctions to the list that are yucky and shen yuan doesn't like yucky things, but even he was like "hm" about that and their next appointment was a little awkward.

Dude's got a firm idea on strategy and that's useful when your main strategy guys are either off world at the moment or untrustworthy (looking at you tfa Starscream)

Ratchet will have opinions about this, very loud opinions on this, but I'm getting such a vibe of him being the most qualified medic they got because ratchet is just that fucking good

Yugiri watches from above the Stones as Freyalin interacts with F’lhaminn and the Doman children. Her face from any outsider is stoic but there’s a light smile that plays on her lips.

It’s been awhile since she’s seen her or any of the Scions, after the business with the Crystal Braves…ending how it did, Yugiri will admit she didn’t know if she’d see anyone again, but she was heartened to know most had survived.

She spares a thought for Minfilia, she was a kind woman who took her and her fellow countrymen in when no one else gave them a second glance. She was strong yet gentle and she will be missed. She looks towards Freyalin again at that thought, musing that she most of all knows that.

“Well, it seems my hiding spot has been discovered,” a voice rings out. She jumps and looks to see Thancred there, sly smirk on his face.

“Apologies,” Yugiri bows, “I did not mean to invade. I can take my-”

He waves his hand to get her to stop, “Nonsense, ‘twas merely a jest. It’s not surprising a woman of your skill set wouldn’t also want to take in the views from up here.”

At that she watches in mild embarrassment as he follows her line of sight. He does not react at first and she goes to rebuttal but he just gives a small laugh, “Taken with her too are you?”

The ‘too’ in that sentence reveals much about the state of personal affairs between the Scions. Thancred’s face however does not give much away, as he looks at her from the corner of his one uncovered eye.

Yugiri shakes her head, “I…she has changed much since last I saw her.”

“Indeed,” he says. “Even I am not privy to all that happened in Ishgard, but I can tell enough through the whispers that it wasn’t easy.”

Yugiri nods. They both watch her in silence. She wonders how he could’ve caught her red handed so quickly, but she figures she already knows that answer.

“She is strong,” she says.

He smiles and nods as he closes his eye and brings his arms across his chest, “Aye. Stronger than she even knows. And growing stronger still I suspect.”

Yugiri shifts her focus now to the Doman children as they run and play. She thinks of her home and the feeling inside her grows. The feeling that soon, the winds will turn and they will see their land free again.

“I hope so,” she says, partially to herself.

Thancred glances at her again and nods in understanding. “First. The Griffin must be dealt with, or all this newfound peace will be for naught.”

Yugiri nods, “Right.”

The two stand there in silence for a little while longer as nothing more needs to be said. A mutual understanding falls between them instead, as the sun sets over Mor Dhona.
