You skipped into the back of your home dojo, completely blinded by the new relationship that has begun in your life.
It was the happiness that made your head spin in a million directions, a buzzing feeling running through your body from excitement.
"Sam!" You shrieked as you spotted your curly haired friend standing along with Tory.
"Someone's happy," Tory takes notice to your wide grin and preppy attitude.
"He did it!" You yelped running up to your two best friends. "Ian asked me to be his girlfriend!"
"Oh!" Sam’s smile froze, just for a second. Her lips parted in surprise before she quickly adjusted, forcing a brighter grin. "That's great!"
"Wait, Ian Matthews?" Tory interjects. "The guy from the baseball team?"
"Yeah!" You confirm for her rocking back and forth on your feet. "We had been talking for a month now, and yesterday we watched a movie at his house last night and he asked me then!"
Sam and Tory glanced side ways at each other, both of your friends sharing the same thoughts and worries.
"Nothing happened," you disrupted their thoughts a small laugh escaping you. The girls relaxed at your statement. "He kind of tried but I told him that's not something I'd do for a while."
"Good, I'm glad he respects you," Sam gives you a half smile trying not to linger on the fact that he in fact still tried to do something with you.
"If he doesn't I'll kick his ass," Tory responds bluntly making you laugh.
"Don't worry about me, I can handle my own," you assure your overprotective friends. Squeezing Sam's elbow, you turn to walk away towards Sensei Lawerence, leaving the two girls to grumble.
"Why him?" Sam mutters under her breath as she crossed her arms over her chest in annoyance.
"He's the biggest dick," the blonde agreed. "Can't believe he pulled her."
"I'm keeping an eye on this dude, I don't trust him," Sam says watching you talk with the older sensei about a move she was having trouble with.
"Trust who?" Miguel comes up to his girlfriend's side catching the end of her comment.
"Ian Matthews," Tory answers, her voice dripping with bitterness. "He's got our girl."
"Nooo," Miguel drags out the 'o' dramatically looking over at you with remorseful eyes. "He ended up asking (Y/n) out?"
Sam nods responding with a low "mhm."
"He's such a-"
"Dick," they all say in unison.
As the three talked about how they could plot steering you away from the danger, Axel stood behind them listening to every word of the conversation having heard everything from the minute you arrived.
A scowl was creeping across his face, his jaw clenched as he thought about you and Ian together. It made him fume. His sharp eyes tracked you as you laughed and grinned, a strange, uncomfortable feeling twisting in his chest.
As class begun, you fall into line, Axel moving to stand behind you.
"So," you hear Axel whisper from behind you. "Ian Matthews, huh?"
You rolled your eyes, trying not to let him put a damper in your current mood.
"What about him?" You ask not sparing him a glance.
"Nothing," he says rather quickly. "Just surprised you'd fall for a guy like him. Thought you had higher standards than the baseball jock stereotype."
You could practically see the smirk in his voice.
Exhaling sharply, you glance over your shoulder to give Axel a pointed look. "Not that it's any of your business, but Ian is actually a really nice guy."
"Right, nice," he snorts. "That's definitely the word I'd use for someone like him."
You clenched your fists, refusing to rise to his bait. "Why do you even care?" you shot back under your breath, your tone sharp.
"Trust me, I don't," Axel scoffed. You shook your head putting your focus back on Sensei LaRusso.
Sure he didn't care for you (at least he pretends not to), but that guy? Seriously? You could do better.
And while he wouldn't admit it, Axel too would watch out for you.
------------------------------------------------------------
It's been a few weeks and things had gone smoothly so far with Ian, he was always paying you compliments and gifting you flowers, it made you feel special.
But what you hadn't noticed was the way his eyes would trail to the girl behind you or how his crude remarks went over your head. All things your friends caught on to.
You were blinded by the honeymoon phase. However things begin to take a turn when Axel catches wind of something he didn't want to hear.
Axel was in the boys locker room changing into his normal clothes when he hears your name.
"She's only been letting me feel her up when we make out, but I think she's gonna let me hit it by the end of the week," Axel recognizes that douche voice from anywhere.
Peeking around the corner of the row of lockers, Axel confirms his suspicions when he sees your boyfriend Ian sitting on a bench talking a with a few guys from his team.
"Dude you got till the end of the month to complete that bet," one of his teammates says. "Don't rush that $100."
What bet?
"I know I just feel like every time I think she's gonna let me, she backs out," Ian complains.
'They better not be talking about Y/n' Axel thinks already beginning to feel his blood boil.
"Y/n is a tough one to crack when it comes to shit like that, that's what makes her a fun challenge," another guy pipes in.
Axel could feel his hands start shake from the fury he was feeling, to talk about a woman like that is disgusting, but to talk about you like that?
It was enraging.
Does he confront them and beat the shit out them like he wants to? Does pull Ian specially aside and knock his lights out? Does he do both?
As the boys left the locker room, Axel can only think about one thing: You.
He ponders how to approach you with what he heard, having not the best history with you.
As Axel made his way out of the locker room, he sees Ian at your locker holding you close to him.
He felt a pang in his heart as he watched you smile so tenderly, pressing a quick peck to Ian's lips.
"He's wrong for her."
Axel startled slightly, turning to see Sam standing a few feet away, her arms crossed and a knowing look in her eyes.
"What?" Axel asked, his voice a little sharper than he intended.
Sam raised an eyebrow, tilting her head toward you and Ian. "You’re staring," she said simply.
Axel scoffed, shifting his bag higher on his shoulder. "I’m not staring. I’m just… keeping an eye on things."
"Right," Sam said, a small smile tugging at her lips. You know, for someone who acts like Y/n is the most annoying person on the planet, you sure spend a lot of time watching out for her."
Axel glared at the short girl next to him. "I’m not— I just don't trust this guy."
He paused, his jaw tightening as he debated whether to tell her what he had overheard in the locker room. Something like this isn't something that needs to be spread or heard from another source.
Sam nodded in agreement. "We don't either... That should be you."
"Come again?" Axel whips his head around.
"Oh come on, before this little rivalry started, you two had a thing going," Sam reminds him with a slight eyeball.
Axel frowned, crossing his arms. "We did not have 'thing' going."
Sam raised a skeptical eyebrow. "Really? Because I remember you two were pretty much inseparable when she first joined the dojo."
"Before your father put us together for that competition," Axel huffs remembering the event that ended up sparking your rivalry. He adored your bright smile and outgoing personality.
Your opposite personalities made things fun between you two, until Sensei LaRusso decided to partner you up for a karate partner competition.
Your approaches had clashed, egos had flared, and the loss had cemented the wedge between you. Now, instead of sharing inside jokes and camaraderie, all you shared were sarcastic remarks and eye-rolls.
"I know," Sam winces the flashback of you two arguing on the mat coming back to mind. "I'm sorry. But that doesn’t mean it has to stay this way, Axel. You still care about her, I can see it, even if you won’t admit it. And I know she cares about you, too, even if she’s too stubborn to show it."
Sam gave him a pointed look before walking away, leaving Axel alone with his thoughts. He feels a pang in his chest as he watched Ian slide his arm over you shoulder, you had no idea what this guy was intending to do.
Axel exhaled sharply, grabbing his bag and slinging it over his shoulder. He had to approach this carefully. If he came at you too aggressively, you’d probably just brush him off or accuse him of being jealous.
He couldn’t risk that—not with something this important.
--------------------------------------------------------
You're texting back one of your siblings about dinner plans when you hear your name being called. Glancing back, you see Axel jogging up to you.
Unphased, you spare him a quick glance continuing to type back. "What? Come to critique my footwork again?" You tease him.
Axel didn't give you his playful smirk like he usually does when you two banter.
"I need to tell you something," he says, his tone unusually serious.
"What's up?" You frown giving him your undivided attention.
Axel hesitated, running a hand through his hair as if trying to figure out how to say it.
"It’s about Ian," he says lowly.
"What about him?" You stood up straight, eyebrows furrowed.
The tall boy sighed, his gaze flicking to the floor for a moment before meeting yours. "I overheard him and his friends talking about you."
You felt the heat rise to you cheeks, a million things swirling through your mind.
"Saying what?" Your throat feels tight when you speak.
Axel shifted uncomfortably, his usual confidence faltering. "He made a bet. With his friends. That he could… you know… get you into bed by the end of the month."
The words hung in the air, heavy and cutting. You could feel your heart fall to the pit of your stomach, embarrassment coming over you.
Of course the one guy that shows interest in you is from a bet, and you had to hear from someone that despises you. Great.
The worst part of this was, Axel wasn't your enemy, he was someone you actually really liked. So when you two fell off, you thought Ian would be a good distraction.
You blinked, stepping back as if he’d physically hit you. "That’s not funny, Axel."
"Y/n, I wouldn't lie to you about something like this," he said urgently. "I know we've had our differences, but I would never tell you this if I didn't know it was 100% true."
You shook your head, your chest tightening with a mix of anger and disbelief.
"You can't expect me to just believe you, you've never liked him, hell you don't even like me most days! How do I know this isn't some diversion to mess with me?" Your words dripped with anger.
Axel took a step closer to you, his expression earnest and almost pleading.
"I feel anything but dislike you for you, trust me," he said firmly, his voice quieter now but no less intense. "This isn't a joke to me, the dude is lucky I didn't knock his lights out."
Your breath caught at his words, but the anger and humiliation still bubbled in your chest, clouding your thoughts. "Why do you even care?"
"You deserve better than that," Axel says softly. "Better than him. I care about you more than you think I do."
"Axel..." you started, but your voice faltered. You didn’t know what to say, how to process the sudden shift in his tone, in his words.
You're unsure if he's saying what you think he's saying, but too much has been said and you needed a minute to think.
"Think about it, I know I'm not the best source but it would've killed me to keep that to myself, you deserve respect," he assures you.
Respect.
He turned and walked away before you could respond, leaving you standing there, heart racing and thoughts swirling in chaos.
--------------------------------------------------
You spend the rest of the evening going over the last few week in your end, cringing at the moments you should've picked up on Ian being insincere with you and your friends.
The Saturday nights you had spend with Ian at his house, he had attempted to go further than just making out on his couch. You didn't realize how frustrated he was when you pushed him away or got up to use the bathroom.
You had chosen to ignore all the warning signs, the looks of annoyance, the backhanded compliments, it all made sense to you now.
Axel was right.
The next morning you take your time getting ready, making sure you looked your best and headed to school.
When you walk into the school, you immediately spot Ian upstairs by his locker surrounded by his group of good from the baseball team.
"Y/n!" Tory and Sam greet you, the brunette beaming a smile.
"Good morning," you chirp, your gaze going back to the boys upstairs. The girls notice your eyes trailing upstairs making them frown.
"Oh, we'll let you go be with Ian," Sam feigns a small smile attempting to sounds sincere was possiblele.
"Actually wait for me," you spoke making them perk up. " This will only take a second."
Tory and Sam look over at each other sharing the same confused look before you turn to walk up the stairs.
As you approached the dark haired boy, Ian's friends nod their head at you, making your boyfriend turn to face you.
"Hey, Ian," you greet him, giving him your flashing smile.
"Hey babe," he grins walking up to you pecking your lips lightly. He slings an arm over your shoulder, pulling you close to him.
"Hi, guys!" You peek over his shoulder giving them your million-dollar smile.
"Sup," they all say back returning your upbeat energy.
"So, how was practice yesterday?" You ask innocently.
"It was great," Ian responds nonchalantly, the guys behind him nodding in agreement.
"Make any good bets lately?"
The boys stood frozen in their spots when the question leaves your mouth, a red tint coming across Ian's face. He glances at his team, all of them shaking their heads.
He looks down at you.
"W-What?" He stutters, his lips tugging up into a smile.
Ian stiffened. It was subtle, but you caught it—the way his grip on your shoulder tightened for just a second before he quickly masked it with a laugh. "What are you talking about?"
You let out a small chuckle, shaking your head as you gently shrugged his arm off you. "You know exactly what I’m talking about."
Ian glanced around, clearly realizing that some of his teammates were watching. "Look, Y/n, whatever you heard, it’s not—"
It was true.
"You didn't make a bet that you could get me in bed by the end of the month?" You raised your eyebrows. Ian's mouth falls open at a lost for words, his eyes going back and forth between you and his friends.
You laughed, rolling your eyes.
"You're an asshole, incase you haven't heard it already from the rest of the school," you scoffed. "We're done."
When you go to walk away, you see Axel standing just a few feet away from you, his expression soft.
You met his gaze for a moment, your heart pounding from the adrenaline of what just happened. Ian was already stammering behind you, trying to save face in front of his friends, but you didn’t care.
You held Axel’s stare, your breath still a little shaky. Meeting each other in the middle, he sighs giving you an apologetic look.
"I'm sorry," he says lowly.
"Not your fault he's a jackass," you shrug, avoiding his eyes.
There's a silence between you as the hallway buzzes from the people around you. You shifted on your feet, suddenly feeling the weight of everything settle in.
The adrenaline was fading, leaving behind a mix of frustration, embarrassment, and something else you couldn’t quite name.
Axel seemed to notice because, for once, he didn’t push, didn’t tease. He just stood there, watching you carefully.
"I should—" you motion behind you with your thumb.
"Yeah, right," Axel nods seeing Sam and Tory staring up at you from the first level sharing words with each other.
For a second, you wanted to say more but didn't know where to start. Your relationship with Axel was complicated, while you two bickered and fought over everything, you still felt a drawn connection to him.
And unbeknownst to you, he still held a soft for you. But with last year's disastrous competition that was supposed to bring you two closer, did the exact opposite.
You gave Axel one last glance before turning on your heel and heading toward your friends.
"You okay?" Sam asks worryingly reaching out for your hand.
"I'm good," you reassure her with a soft smile, laying your other hand on top of hers.
"What did he do? Do I need to handle him?" Tory threatens already glaring up in Ian's direction whom was still throwing a hissy fit.
"No need," you smirk at her. "I already did."
Sam and Tory nodding holding an impressed expression.
"As for what he did..." you trailed off a slight frown raising to your face. "I'll have to explain at lunch."
The girls nodded in understanding, Tory walking over to stand by your side as she hooked her arm around your shoulder to give you a reassuring squeeze.
"Well, whatever it was, he’s an idiot. And trust me, you can do way better."
Sam nodded, giving your hand another gentle squeeze. "Agreed. And just so you know, we’ve got your back, always."
You felt warmth spread through you at their support. No matter what happened, you weren’t alone.
"I know," you respond softly, someone else popping up in the back of your mind.
Axel watched from the upper level as your friends engulfed you with love and support, his heart aching in his chest for you.
He didn't know where you two stood after this encounter, but there's a lingering feeling that you two could start over and maybe—just maybe, you can give him a chance to show you how you deserve to be treated.
Kindly, and respectfully.

Oooo don’t tempt me!! i’ll turn this whole blog into a captain cold lovehouse lol. it’s his season now anyways :) all the blue and cold weather juuuust for him… in my mind anyway! question for you, angel —do you have any thoughts on len & temperature play? or honestly any flash rouges & kinks, i’d love to hear! they never get near enough love ❄️🩵
If this account accidentally becomes a Captain Cold themed blog again, I won’t complain ngl. Okay, so, only mentioning characters who are/have been official members of ‘The Rogues’, and only characters I know well enough to have opinions on. Haven’t included Captain Boomerang, cause I already did a full NSFW Alphabet for him ━ [Link] Disclaimer: These are by no means comprehensive, and they’re just my opinion. Take what you vibe with, leave what you don’t. Trigger warnings: Mentions of dub/non-con, voyeurism, and overstimulation.
Tumblr media
Captain Cold (L.S) – Temperature Play:
I’ve talked a little bit before ━ [link] about how Len likes to cool you down until you’re shivering. Then he likes sitting you in his lap, stuffing you full of cock, and having you sit nice and still while he warms you back up again.
He loves feeling needed while still being in charge, you know? So, he gets off on how you cling to him for warmth, how you shake in his grasp and quietly beg him for more. How you wither on his dick, pouting and huffing when he scolds you. Melting as he runs his big, calloused hands along your body, his tongue on your throat, your collar, your nipples. He’ll thaw every inch of you so long as you behave for him.
Of course, the payoff is the best part, when he finally grants you permission to ride his cock, and you go for it like a person possessed. Fervently bouncing on him, pulling at his hair, kissing any part of skin you can find.
He does like more traditional temperature play as well, but he uses that more as a punishment. He likes watching how your muscles tense up and your voice gets high and whiny when he so tenderly abuses all your softest, most sensitive parts with the edge of an ice cube, or the muzzle of his cold gun.
He’d make you hump the barrel, rubbing your needy sex on it while you plead for relief, but he wouldn’t force it inside you. He would, however, and without hesitation, fill your tight, needy little hole with ice and fuck you with it until it’s all melted away and you’re desperate for more.
━ Also into: Edging, clothed /unclothed, degradation, and brat taming.
Tumblr media
Heat Wave (M.R) – Praise kink
Despite being quite the hothead, Mick is actually pretty submissive, and fairly vanilla in the bedroom. Sure, he has his more excitable, temperamental moments where he’ll bend you over and take what he needs.
But more often than not, Mick is happy to sit back and let you take the reigns. He rarely instigates, but he’ll follow your lead happily when you drag him to whatever surface you want him on. All it takes is you to whisper, “I’ve been thinking about you all day.” or “Can’t wait to feel you deep inside me.” As you trail your hand down his chest, and he’s rock hard, already rushing to get his dick out.
He’d never admit it in a million years, but he’s hooked on your words, on hearing your praise. He has one hell of an unhinged smile, and it’s easy to hide his self-consciousness behind it, or else he burrows his face into a pillow and squeezes your hips, encouraging you to go faster, deeper, whatever will distract you from his swooning.
And Mick hates showing his body, his burn scars, especially early on in your relationship, but he adores your touch on his bare skin, and your kisses so so much. His scar tissue, muscle, and bravado; it all softens when you caress his arms. When you call him “beautiful” and kiss along his stomach. Fuck. Stop, you’re gonna make this grown man cry.
━ Also into: Pyrophilia, dry humping, cream pies, and white lingerie.
Tumblr media
Golden Glider (L.S) – Worship
Lisa has spent all her life trying to prove herself to others. To prove to her father that she is worthy of love, to prove to the world that she was good enough to earn Olympic medals, to prove to Len that she could be an asset to his team and more than just his little sister, to prove to The Rogues that she is a force to be reckoned with all on her own.
So, with you, she needs to know that you know she’s a goddamn prize. She wants to see your eyes go wide with adoration as she approaches, wants to feel your lip quiver under her kiss, your skin to shake when she touches you.
She wants you to pamper her, kneading her body head to toe with your fingers, trailing your kisses along her skin until you’re kneeling at her feet, begging her to wrap her strong legs around your face and give you a taste of that sweet, sweet pussy.
She wants to hear you whisper her name like it’s a prayer as you fuck her with your tongue, or close your lips around her clit. She wants to see your eyes roll back as he pulls your hair, she wants you to power through your aching jaw and your denied core to keep pleasing her because you know she’s worth it.
━ Also into: Praise kink, blades/knife play, scratching and corruption.
Tumblr media
The Trickster (G.G) – Bondage
James is a showman at his heart. All the worlds a stage, and he spends all day, every day, playing to his audience. So, sometimes it’s nice for him to be able to switch that off, or for you to flip the switch for him.
Sure, he could at any time escape his bindings, and unless gag him, he’s gonna run his mouth the entire time, but he’ll enjoy every second of not having to think about direction or the likes.
He’ll be frustrated, as you grind your hips against him, ghosting your lips against everywhere but the places he begs for and taking your sweet time doing it, “You naughty little tease” but it makes him weak.
Throw in a blindfold, watch how he twitches and keens his body, but never struggles against his restraints as you finally rub your thumb against the tip of his cock. “Oh James, you’re so hard, you’re practically dripping.”
“Can’t help it darlin’” He smiles wolfishly in reply, bucking his hips, wordlessly begging you to give him more, to make him feel good. “I want you so bad.”
“Well, sit still and be good. I’ll see what I can do for you.”
━ Also into: Hair pulling, facials, over-stimulation, role play, and sex toys.
Tumblr media
The Trickster (A.W) – Oral Fixation
When Axel isn’t running his mouth, he has to find other ways to keep it busy. If he’s not chewing gum he’s biting his knuckles. He keeps sucking on the lollipop stick long after he’s eaten the candy, and he’s never borrowed a pen without returning it covered in teeth marks.
But given the choice, he’d always rather have his lips on you. There isn’t an inch of your skin he hasn’t tasted and committed to memory. When you’re cuddling, don’t be surprised if he randomly decides to clamp down on the closest patch of skin.
Not only does licking, kissing, sucking, and biting at your sensitive skin satisfy his fixation, but it also means he gets to leave his mark on you. Without even saying anything, he gets to tell the world ‘Hands off! I bit it, it’s mine.’
And he spends hours between your legs. He’ll stay down there in a dream state, eyes glazed, lips sore and swollen, hungrily lapping and sucking your sex for as long as you will allow. He’ll happily keep going even when he’s tired, resting his head on your soft thighs as his lids get heavy, but if you scratch at his scalp and tell him how much you’re enjoying yourself, he’ll go at it with newfound invigoration immediately.
━ Also into: Exhibitionism, praise kink, somnophilia, object insertion, and hygrophilia.
Tumblr media
Mirror Master (S.S) – Voyeurism
Sam puts on a great show at being relatively normal despite, well, who he is and his line of work, which is why it’s quite the surprise to you that he’s actually such a depraved pervert.
Sam likes to watch.
He particularly likes to watch you through the mirror, late at night when you’re all alone, vulnerable and getting yourself off. His breath always hitches when he sees your naked body wither against your sheets, his dick aching beneath his boxers until he rushes to get his suit off.
He’s not afraid to come onto you, he’s not shy or jealous of any lover you might have, he just likes to stroke his cock in time with your own hands. He likes listening to your moans, and seeing how your hips jerk as you chase your orgasm. He loves cumming in time with you, catching the white-hot globes of his release in his palm while you come undone under his unseen gaze.
He just loves seeing you exposed, it’s like a dirty little secret that you don’t even know he has over you.
━ Also into: Sensory deprivation, somnophilia, voice kinks, strip teases, and spanking (receiving).
Tumblr media
Mirror Master (E.M) – Mirror Sex
Evan isn’t so passive. Evan sees something he likes, and he takes it. If you play hard to get, then it’s all the more fun for him.
Evan will twist your hair between his knuckles and hold you up, face to the mirror so that you can see your sorry-looking face as you lose yourself to him. He’ll make sure you can see him too, the hunger in his deep brown eyes as he drives into you, fast and forceful from behind.
Evan will pull you this way and that, allowing him access to grope your body. Alternating between feather-soft touches that make you feel cherished, and squeezing your tender flesh so hard you can’t help when your eyes start to water.
Evan will pull your back to his chest, still fisting your hair so that you’re forced to watch as he traces his other hand along your sternum. Evan will point out exactly how deep his cock is inside you, before pumping you full of his thick, hot seed.
━ Also into: Asphyxiation, spanking, breeding, objectification, and denial.

Pt. 1
୨୧・・・・♡・・・・୨୧
After arriving at the hotel, exhausted and looking as though I haven’t slept in weeks, I pick up the key to my room, which I’m sharing with Sam. I give her a quick nod to let her know I’ll head up to the room, and she simply nods back, already engrossed in a conversation with her boyfriend, Miguel.
With my suitcase in one hand and my bag in the other, I put my AirPods back in and turn on my music before stepping into the elevator. The ride is quiet, and I find myself zoning out until the familiar ding signals that I’ve reached my floor.
Pulling the handle of my suitcase, I step out of the elevator, scrolling through my phone without bothering to look up. Before I know it, I collide with someone and fall to the ground, one of my AirPods tumbling out in the process. Startled, I look up, ready to apologize for not paying attention—but before I can say a word, he beats me to it.
‘Watch where you’re going,’ he says, rolling his eyes in obvious annoyance
‘I’m sorry,’ I say quickly, standing up and grabbing my fallen AirPod.
He sighed, his gaze feeling as though it pierced directly into my soul. He appeared cold and tense. ‘Just don’t let it happen again,’ he said, not giving me a chance to respond before walking away.
I exhaled slowly, gathering my belongings and glancing at my hotel card to find my room number. As I looked around, I realized I had ended up right in front of my hotel room. With a soft sigh, I stepped inside, taking a moment to settle myself. I reminded myself that I still had two hours to prepare before we needed to leave for the city tour. The quiet of the room allowed me to relax for a brief moment, and I moved calmly to unpack and get ready, focusing on the next part of the day without letting the earlier encounter distract me.
As I stood in the bathroom, the cold water from the shower running over me, I couldn’t help but think about the guy from earlier. He was likely my opponent. He was tall, with striking blue eyes and brown hair. There was something about him—he seemed unbothered, almost arrogant, yet calm and tense all at once. The mix of qualities made him difficult to read.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on the door. It was probably Sam, letting me know she had arrived back at the hotel as well. I turned off the shower, quickly blow-drying my hair before slipping into a simple white long-sleeve shirt and grey Nike sweatpants.
Walking out of the bathroom, I grabbed my makeup kit and sat down, ready to get prepared for the evening. The calm of the moment allowed me to focus, shifting my attention away from the earlier encounter and onto the night ahead.
‘Team events will begin tomorrow,’ Sam remarked as she adjusted her outfit in the mirror. I sat quietly, scrolling through my phone, waiting for her to finish and let me know when she was ready to head out. After a few moments, she signaled that she was all set, and we made our way to the lobby to continue with our plans for the evening.
‘So… are you feeling a bit stressed?’ Sam asked, her tone casual as she glanced at me. ‘With the fact that Tory is now in Cobra Kai and you’re the captain?’
Tory had left right when she was about to win against Samantha, which led to me having to compete against Sam for the captain’s position. In the end, I came out on top.
‘No, I’m just worried about Tory, that’s all,’ I replied, stepping out of the elevator. As soon as I did, I felt a pair of eyes boring into me. It was the guy from earlier—the one I had bumped into. Our eyes met for a brief moment, and I quickly looked away, feeling a sudden wave of discomfort wash over me.
I turned to Sam and told her about the encounter, and she glanced at him quickly before nudging me with her elbow, a playful smirk crossing her face.
‘Ow,’I exclaimed, flinching from the sudden nudge, and Sam responded by wiggling her eyebrows mischievously.
I raised an eyebrow, giving her a look that silently reminded her she had a boyfriend. Sam simply raised her hands in mock surrender, grinning, and then walked off toward the bathroom. I waited outside, shaking my head.
The photographer announced that he wanted a group photo with just the captains. I stood next to Robby, both of us smiling for the camera. The photographer then said something about the guy in the back, urging him to smile as well. I glanced over, and there he was—smiling at the camera before his gaze shifted to meet mine. A sigh escaped me as I quickly looked away, a familiar nervous feeling creeping up once again.
The next day, I felt the weight of stress settling on my shoulders—today was the first day of the tournament, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Wanting to shake off my nerves, I left the hotel early to give myself a chance to warm up. As I made my way toward the locker rooms to drop off my things, a voice suddenly interrupted my thoughts. I turned, and there he was—the mysterious guy from yesterday.
He was training with his sensei, who was urging him to move faster. The guy struggled to keep up, failing repeatedly, much to his sensei’s frustration. Unexpectedly, the sensei struck him multiple times, demanding he try again. The guy made another attempt, but once more, he failed and took a few more hits. As he turned to face me, our eyes locked for a brief moment.
I quickly looked away, eager to leave without drawing attention. I hurried into the locker rooms, hoping he hadn’t noticed me. The encounter left me unsettled, and I stood there in silence, trying to process what had just happened. I didn’t know how to feel about the situation.
The first competition ended in a swift, crushing loss. As I left the court, I couldn’t help but feel the weight of responsibility pressing down on me. I kept replaying the match in my mind, second-guessing every decision and wondering if I had let my team down. It felt like the entire tournament might slip away because of me. Despite my best efforts to stay calm, the guilt and stress gnawed at me.
I was the first to retreat to the locker room, hoping to find some solace and a bottle of water to clear my head. But as I opened the storage, I saw that all the bottles were empty. I sighed, trying to steady the nervous energy bubbling under the surface. Deciding to head to the canteen, I reminded myself that there were still two hours before the next event. That gave me time to regroup and pull myself together—or so I hoped.
As I entered the canteen, my eyes landed almost immediately on him. He stood near the fridge, tall and poised as ever, with his hair styled perfectly, as if he hadn’t just come from the chaos of competition. My stomach tightened, and my heart began to race, though I desperately willed it to stop. Of all people to see right now, it had to be him. I didn’t want to face him—especially not now, when I felt like a failure. My shoulders tensed as I resolved to stick to my plan: grab a bottle, stay invisible, and leave as quickly as possible.
I moved swiftly to the fridge, avoiding eye contact and keeping my head down. My thoughts were a swirl of self-consciousness and unease. Did he notice me? Was he going to say anything about the match? Every moment I spent near him felt like an eternity, but, to my relief, I managed to grab the water and make it to the line without incident.
As I stood waiting my turn to pay, I tried to focus on anything but the awkwardness still lingering from the match. My hands were fidgety, and I shifted my weight slightly, anxious to get out of there. Then, as if the universe had decided I needed one more challenge, my opponent from the earlier competition lined up behind me. I could feel his presence without even turning around— it was palpable, a stark and unwelcome reminder of the loss I was already struggling to push from my mind.
When it was finally my turn to pay, I reached into my pocket and froze. My wallet wasn’t there. A cold wave of panic swept over me as I realized I’d left it in my bag back in the locker room. Feeling my cheeks flush with embarrassment, I quickly turned to the cashier and asked if she could give me a moment to retrieve it. Her response was curt and final: the line was too long, and she couldn’t wait.
Humiliated, I had no choice but to leave the canteen empty-handed. The sting of rejection added another layer to my already fragile mood. I stepped outside into the crisp air, taking slow, deliberate breaths in an effort to calm myself. I stretched, more out of habit than necessity, and tried to regain a sense of control.
Even as the fresh air began to soothe my nerves, the doubt lingered. It felt like everything was spiraling, and I couldn’t help but feel that it was all my fault. Still, I reminded myself that there was time to turn things around. The tournament wasn’t over yet, and I couldn’t let this moment define the rest of the day. Though the insecurity remained, I resolved to keep pushing forward, however shaky my confidence felt.
After returning to the locker room, I sat down quietly next to my bag, letting the silence of the space settle around me. As I unzipped the bag, my eyes were drawn to two ice-cold water bottles lying inside, their surfaces glistening faintly. I paused, blinking at them in mild confusion, trying to piece together how I hadn’t noticed them earlier. I looked up, my thoughts momentarily scattered, unsure whether to feel relieved, amused, or simply puzzled by the discovery.
‘Was anyone here?’ I asked Demetri, holding up the bottles of water and glancing at him with a mix of curiosity and confusion. My voice was calm, but my mind raced slightly, trying to make sense of their sudden appearance.
‘Yeah, the girl from Iron Dragons, Zara, I think,’ Demetri explained quickly. ‘She said you needed some water but forgot your wallet, so she brought these for you.’
The Iron Dragons—that was the team the tall guy was from. From what I knew, Zara was their captain. I hadn’t expected her to do something like this, but I couldn’t help feeling a slight wave of gratitude. I decided I would thank her later, once the next competition was over. For now, I just needed to focus on what was ahead.
I grabbed the water bottle, a quiet wave of gratitude passing through me. It was a small gesture, but it made a difference in that moment. Taking a deep breath, I decided to search for my teammates and gather them together. I needed to rally them, give them a motivational speech, even though, deep down, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the loss in the first competition was mostly my fault. Still, I knew I had to set that aside and focus on getting everyone back on track for the next round.
It was time for the next event, and the pressure was mounting. There were different categories, but we lost almost all of them. The only victories came from the 2vs1 match, where Miguel secured a win, and the Bojutsu (staff technique/ art of stick fighting), where I managed to come out on top.
The following day brought a small victory—we won once, but it came with its own challenges. Our task was to force the opponent to fall from the podium, and only Miguel managed to win and stay on it. The weight of it all hit harder when I saw our team nearly at the bottom of the standings. The stress was becoming overwhelming; we were running out of time, and the gap between us and the top seemed to grow wider with each passing moment.
The next event was the elimination phase of Sakai Taikai, and as the moment drew closer, an overwhelming sense of anxiety crept back into my mind. I couldn’t shake the thought that I might lose because of my own small mistakes, and it was a nagging feeling that seemed to grow stronger with each passing second.
It was a 2v2 on a high platform, a challenging setup that added to the pressure. The Iron Dragons went first with their demonstration. The tall guy—who I knew to be an exceptional competitor—was flawless. He moved with such grace and precision that he wasn’t even touched once by his opponent. I couldn’t help but watch in awe as he maneuvered effortlessly across the platform, his every movement exuding confidence and skill. Before I could think much more about it, I overheard Demetri and Hawk talking nearby. Their conversation snapped me out of my thoughts as they referred to the tall guy as a “monster” because of his skill. The words hit me differently than I expected—guilt crept in. It didn’t feel right to hear them speak about him behind his back like that, especially when he was right there, demonstrating his abilities so effortlessly. I felt a pang of discomfort, as if they were undermining his talent. I couldn’t let it slide.
‘Don’t call him a monster,’ I exclaimed, my voice firm. ‘You don’t know him or what he deals with.’
They exchanged glances before looking at me, their expressions softening. I could see the apology in their eyes, and for a moment, the tension in the air seemed to ease. They nodded slightly, acknowledging what I had said, and I felt a small sense of relief. It wasn’t right to judge someone so quickly, and I wasn’t going to stand by and let it happen.
They announced that it was our turn. Roby and I were the first to step onto the podium to fight. As I climbed the stairs, the height of the platform hit me all at once, and my knees felt like they might give way, soft as cotton. Despite the flutter of nerves, I focused on doing my best, trying to shake off the unease.
Then, suddenly, our eyes met—the tall guy again. For a brief moment, I froze, distracted by the connection. My opponent saw the opening and almost pushed me off the platform. Just as I was about to lose my footing, Roby took a risk and managed to eliminate two opponents at once. The crowd erupted in cheers, and I heard the rush of feet as the other competitors came charging in, with Sam joining me on the platform.
Time passed, and it all came down to the final two opponents. Now, it was Miguel’s turn to step in and help me finish it. As we worked together to eliminate them, I felt a small surge of pride. I hadn’t fallen once, and that, in itself, was enough to bring a little bit of happiness in the midst of the chaos.
Everyone in our group was cheering after the competition. We were relieved and excited that we hadn’t been eliminated and that we still had a chance to continue in Sakai Taikai. But amidst the celebration, Miguel was nowhere to be found.
Just as Robby and I were catching our breath, we were called to the side by our Senseis. Their faces were serious, and I could feel the shift in the air as they delivered the bad news. One of our Senseis, along with Miguel, had to leave immediately. Miguel’s mother had been hospitalized, and there were complications with her pregnancy.
The weight of the situation hit me hard. Not only were we down one Sensei, but we were also losing a teammate. I couldn’t help but feel a deep concern for Miguel’s mother. I hoped she would pull through and that everything would turn out okay. It was hard to focus on anything else when I knew Miguel’s family needed him, and I hoped she’d recover quickly.
While everyone else was out partying at some random club in Barcelona, I found myself binge-watching a film series. After a while, I decided I needed a change of pace and thought a walk along the beach might clear my mind. I threw on a white hoodie and some black leggings, grabbed a bottle of water for the walk, and headed out. The evening air was cool, and I was ready for a little solitude by the ocean.
I walked for a moment, my thoughts still lingering on the events of the day, until I found myself at the beach. As I looked around, my eyes landed on someone standing nearby, shirtless. I blinked, and as I drew closer, I realized it was the tall guy from earlier.
The brown-haired boy was diligently practicing a series of movements, each one executed with remarkable precision and fluidity. Despite my exhaustion and the haze clouding my thoughts, I couldn’t seem to pull my gaze away. There was something captivating about the way he moved, as though every motion was deliberate and purposeful. My fatigue seemed to fade into the background as I became mesmerized by his focus and technique. It was almost as if everything around me disappeared, and I was entirely absorbed in watching him. I couldn’t help but wonder about the discipline and dedication that went into mastering such skills, but at the same time, I felt too drained to even process the thoughts fully. But then, my attention shifted when I noticed some red marks on his back. They stood out against his skin, drawing my gaze away from his fluid motions, and I couldn’t help but wonder how they had gotten there.
Suddenly, he executed a move that caused him to turn and face me directly. His expression shifted from focus to surprise, and for a moment, he froze, caught off guard by my presence. It was as if the sudden shift in direction had momentarily thrown him off balance, and we stood there in an awkward silence, both taken aback by the unexpected encounter.
‘Oh… I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to startle you,’ I exclaimed, taking a step closer. As I moved, the cold wind hit me, sending a shiver down my spine. I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to ward off the chill, but my attention remained on him, feeling the awkwardness between us linger in the air.
‘Uhm… I’m Y/n, by the way,’ I said, tilting my head to the side, feeling a bit shy and insecure. My voice was soft, unsure of how to break the silence. I couldn’t help but feel a little awkward standing there, hoping my introduction might ease the tension, even though my nerves made it hard to feel at ease.
‘Axel,’ he said, his voice a little stiff as he shifted slightly, looking tense and uncomfortable. I could tell he wasn’t quite sure how to handle the situation either, and his unease mirrored my own. The air between us felt a little thick, and I found myself wishing I could think of something to say to make it less awkward.
‘That’s a pretty cool kata. What’s it called?’ I asked softly, hoping to break the awkward silence. My voice was tentative, but I genuinely wanted to know. It felt like the right way to ease the tension between us, even if I was still a little unsure of myself.
‘I’m not supposed to talk to the opponents,’ he exclaimed, his tone a bit stubborn. There was a hint of defensiveness in his words, as if he was trying to set a boundary, but it only added to the awkwardness. I could tell he was trying to stick to some kind of rule, and I immediately felt a bit embarrassed for having spoken up.
‘We’re not on the mat,’ I said with a small smile, feeling the blush creep up my nose. I wasn’t sure if it was the cold, the embarrassment, or my own shyness causing the heat to rise in my cheeks, but I tried to brush it off. The awkwardness was still there, but I hoped my attempt at humor might ease the tension just a bit.
‘It’s pretty late for training,’ I exclaimed, sighing as I tried to warm up my hands by rubbing them together. The cold was starting to get to me, and I couldn’t help but feel the discomfort in my fingers. I glanced at Axel, hoping to ease the awkwardness with a casual comment, but the tension still lingered between us.
‘Always time for training,’ he said, his tone firm and matter-of-fact. His words carried a quiet determination, and for a moment, I felt like I was glimpsing a side of him that was completely focused, almost unshakable.
After he said that, he reached down to grab his shirt from the sand. As he moved, the red marks on his back became more visible, standing out sharply against his skin. I couldn’t help but notice them, the vividness of the marks raising questions in my mind.
‘Whoa, whoa… what happened to your back?’ I asked cautiously as he pulled his shirt over his head, my voice filled with concern as I took a few small steps forward. I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I was overstepping, but the marks were too striking to ignore. My curiosity and worry outweighed my hesitation.
‘Uh, from the bo staff competition,’ he answered quickly, his tone dismissive as he avoided meeting my concerned gaze. It was clear he didn’t want to dwell on it, brushing it off as if it were nothing, but the marks told a different story.
‘Nobody’s been able to land a point on you yet,’ I said, my tone light but observant. His reaction was immediate—he shifted uncomfortably, avoiding my gaze even more than before. The tension in his demeanor made me pause, debating whether or not to bring up what I had seen earlier during his training with his sensei. The memory of those moments weighed on my thoughts, but I wasn’t sure if addressing it would make things better or worse.
‘I saw what happened with your sensei,’ I said softly, breaking the silence. My tone was careful, not wanting to sound intrusive, but I felt the need to acknowledge what I had witnessed.
‘My sensei wants me to be the best. It’s because of him I never lose.’ he said coldly, his sharp tone cutting through the air as he looked directly at me. His gaze was steady, but there was an edge to it, as though he was daring me to challenge his words.
‘There are other ways of teaching,’ I said, my voice laced with concern. I couldn’t help but feel worried, sensing that his sensei’s approach might be pushing him too hard. I wanted to say more, but I wasn’t sure if I should press further.
‘I mean, I got to admit, your dojo’s pretty great,’ I exclaimed, offering him a friendly smile. I hoped my words would ease the tension, acknowledging his dedication while keeping the conversation light. Despite my concern, I didn’t want to make him feel uncomfortable.
‘Thank you,’ Axel said, his tone softer, looking a little more at ease now. ‘You’re pretty… Your… Your dojo’s pretty good too.’ He added quickly, a small blush creeping onto his cheeks, though I suspected it might have been as much from the cold as from his sudden shyness. His words caught me off guard, and I couldn’t help but smile, feeling the tension ease between us.
‘We try,’ I said with a small smile, hoping to reassure him. I could see the tension easing slightly, and I wanted to keep things light. The moment felt less awkward, and I was relieved for it.
‘Mind if I join?’ Axel asked, and the question caught me off guard. I hadn’t expected him to ask, but there was a hint of curiosity in his voice that made me pause for a moment.
‘You want to switch dojo’s?’ I asked, raising my eyebrows in shock. The idea hadn’t crossed my mind, and I was curious about why he’d bring it up. It seemed like a bold move, especially given how dedicated he was to his current dojo.
‘Your walk. I was going back to hotel.’ he said, pointing towards the route I was supposed to take. It took me a moment to process what he meant, but then I realized he was offering to join me on the walk back, which felt unexpected but kind.
‘Oh, yeah,’ I laughed awkwardly, caught off guard by the offer. ‘Yeah, sure,’ I added quickly, hoping to reassure him. As we started walking, I couldn’t help but notice the height difference between us—he towered over me, and I felt a little small in comparison, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was just another thing that made the moment feel a little surreal.
As we walked along the beach, the soothing sound of the waves crashing in the background, our conversation turned to travel. We began talking about the countries we had visited, sharing stories of our experiences in different places. The gentle breeze and the calming rhythm of the ocean made the conversation feel easy and natural, and for the first time that night, I felt completely at ease. From what he mentioned, it seemed like he had traveled to every country in Europe. He shared details about different cities and cultures he’d encountered, his experiences coming across as both vast and fascinating. It made me realize just how much he had seen and done, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe at his travels. He also asked me a few questions, curious about my thoughts on Barcelona. He wanted to know what I thought of the city, what I hoped to visit, and what I wanted to do while I was here. His questions felt genuine, and I found myself sharing more than I had planned, enjoying the flow of our conversation. It was nice to talk about my plans without feeling rushed or pressured.
We laughed and enjoyed the moment, the conversation flowing easily, until one of our opponents from Tory’s team approached us with a few of his friends. The sudden interruption broke the easy atmosphere, and I could feel a shift in the air as they came closer.
‘How cute!’ Kwon exclaimed, tilting his head in sarcastic awe. His tone was playful yet teasing, as if he was trying to get a reaction from us. It was clear he wasn’t just making a casual comment, but rather trying to stir things up a bit
‘Little rival team play time, huh?’ he said with a grin, his words slurring slightly. It was clear he was definitely not sober, and his carefree smile made the situation feel a bit awkward. His tone was light, but there was an edge to it, as if he was trying to provoke something.
‘Just ignore them,’ I said with a sigh, glancing at Axel. I could feel the tension creeping in, but I didn’t want to let it ruin the moment. I hoped Axel would let it slide too, as it was clear Kwon’s words were meant more to tease than to start a real confrontation. I tried to walk past them, but they shifted right in front of me, giving me a big, smug smile. It was like they were blocking my path on purpose, clearly enjoying the chance to get under my skin.
‘Say the magic words,’ Kwon laughed, raising his eyebrows playfully. His grin widened, clearly enjoying the situation more than he should.
‘Move aside,’ I said, my tone laced with clear annoyance. I wasn’t in the mood for their games, and I made sure they knew it as I stood my ground.
‘Wrong,’ he said sternly, his playful demeanor shifting into something more confrontational. The tone in his voice made it clear he wasn’t going to let me off that easily.
‘Just leave us alone,” I sighed, frustration creeping into my voice. I was done with their teasing and just wanted to move on, hoping they’d finally get the hint. Kwon kneeled to my height and smiled, his expression mocking yet somehow amused. It was as if he thought the whole situation was a game, and I was the one missing the joke.
‘Only if you say please,’ he laughed, getting uncomfortably close, his face now just inches from mine. The mocking tone in his voice made my irritation grow, but I stood my ground, refusing to let him get under my skin.
That was the final straw for Axel. His expression darkened as his fist clenched tightly at his side. One of Kwon’s friends caught the movement and took it as a signal to strike, delivering a swift kick to Axel’s stomach. To my surprise, Axel barely even flinched, standing firm as if the attack hadn’t phased him.
At the same moment, the other friend of Kwon lunged toward me. Axel reacted immediately, dealing with his opponent effortlessly, his precision and speed almost intimidating. Inspired by his confidence, I focused on my attacker, countering their moves and managing to take them down just as effectively. The entire exchange was over in moments, leaving Kwon’s friends clearly outmatched.
Axel and I turned our attention to Kwon, who stood his ground with an overly confident smirk. ‘Come on, I’ll take you both. Let’s go,’ he taunted, his bravado thick in the air. But before he could make a move, one of his friends grabbed his arm and urged him to stop.
‘Let’s get out of here. The cops are coming,’ his friend said, the urgency in his voice cutting through Kwon’s bravado.
Sure enough, the faint wail of police sirens echoed in the distance. Without hesitation, Axel and I exchanged a quick glance and bolted in the opposite direction, heading back toward the beach.
By the time we stopped, both of us were out of breath, the cool ocean breeze offering some relief as we tried to collect ourselves. The tension of the moment slowly gave way to exhaustion, the sounds of the waves a stark contrast to the chaos we’d just escaped.
‘Cobra Kai… those assholes,’ I muttered between breaths, my frustration evident as I leaned forward, hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath. The adrenaline was still coursing through me, but the tension was beginning to ebb, replaced by a simmering annoyance at what had just unfolded.
‘Nice round kick,’ he said, his tone genuine as his eyes stayed fixed on me. There was a flicker of admiration in his gaze, and it caught me off guard for a moment. I straightened up, still trying to steady my breath, feeling a mix of pride and self-consciousness under his watchful look.
‘Nice counterstrike,’ I said between breaths, managing a small smile.
Axel returned the gesture with a genuine smile of his own, his gaze never wavering from mine. There was something steady and unwavering about the way he looked at me, and it made me feel oddly at ease despite everything that had just happened.
For a moment, the only sounds between us were the crashing waves in the distance and our labored breaths as we worked to steady ourselves. The adrenaline was beginning to fade, leaving behind a strange sense of calm in the cool night air.
I exhaled deeply, glancing around to make sure the coast was clear. My eyes scanned the area cautiously, the sound of the waves in the background grounding me. After another moment, I sighed again and checked once more before turning to Axel.
‘I think the coast is clear,’ I said softly, breaking the silence.
When I looked at him, I realized he was still watching me, his expression unreadable but intent. There was something in his gaze—an almost admiring quality—that made my heart skip for a moment. I quickly glanced away, unsure of how to react to the unexpected attention.
I took a quick glance at Axel, my heart racing when I saw he was still looking at me. Our eyes locked, and something shifted in the air between us. Feeling the pull, I couldn’t look away and decided to meet his gaze.
He stepped closer, closing the distance between us. I had to tilt my head up to meet his eyes, the height difference suddenly feeling more pronounced. He gently cupped my cheek with one hand, his touch warm and reassuring. With the other, he tucked a stray lock of hair behind my ear, his fingers brushing lightly against my skin. His expression softened, his eyes flickering between mine and my lips.
The closeness was intoxicating, and before I knew it, he began to lean in, his face inches from mine. My breath caught in my throat, and for a split second, I was ready to give in. But then, a sudden rush of doubt and hesitation swept over me.
‘Woah, no, no…’ I stammered, taking a few quick steps back. The air between us suddenly felt thick with tension, and I could feel the familiar rush of awkwardness creeping back, just like it had at the beginning of our conversation.
I avoided his gaze, focusing instead on the ground, unsure of what to do next. The moment that had felt so intense just moments ago now seemed like a mistake. Why had I pulled away? I had no idea, but the uncertainty left me with a knot in my stomach. Axel didn’t say anything right away, and for a second, the silence stretched between us like an unspoken question hanging in the air.
I tried to steady my breathing, hoping the moment would pass quickly, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I had just made things even more awkward.
‘I-I’m sorry… I thought-‘ Axel started, his words trailing off as he struggled to find the right thing to say.
He seemed just as uncertain as I was, his expression caught somewhere between confusion and embarrassment. I could see the hesitation in his eyes, and it made me feel even more guilty for pulling away.
I bit my lip, unsure of how to break the silence. The tension hung thick between us, but neither of us seemed to know how to ease it. It felt like everything had shifted in an instant, and now I wasn’t sure how to fix it without making it worse.
‘It’s already after curfew. We should get going,’ His voice was cold, the warmth from earlier now completely gone.
The shift was immediate. The tension between us that had been so palpable moments before evaporated, but not in a way that made me feel better. Instead, it felt like we had just snapped back to some kind of awkward normalcy—where he was distant and aloof again, and I was left fumbling for the right words.
I couldn’t tell if he was still hurt by my reaction or if he was simply shutting himself off, but either way, the walls between us were up once more, and I wasn’t sure how to bring them down.
The walk to the hotel was silent—so silent it felt suffocating. Each step felt heavier, the air thick with unspoken words. The usual ease between us was gone, replaced by an awkward distance I couldn’t seem to close.
I stopped abruptly, feeling a knot tighten in my chest. Axel walked a few steps further before halting, turning back to look at me, his expression confused.
“Is something wrong?” he asked, his voice softer than it had been since… well, since everything had changed.
I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t even know what I was feeling anymore. But I could tell that whatever had just happened between us—whatever I had done—had shifted something. I wasn’t sure what it was, but it felt like the space between us had grown wider than it had ever been before.
I grabbed my phone and glanced at the clock—it was 5 p.m. In an hour, the sunrise would begin. A sudden urge to be by the ocean took over me, the need for some space, for clarity. I sighed quietly to myself and turned to Axel.
‘I’m going back to the beach,’ I said softly. ‘You can head back to the hotel. Goodnight.’
I gave him a small wave and started walking away, my footsteps steady, but my mind still racing.
But then I heard them—footsteps. I stopped, turned, and looked back. It was Axel, walking a few paces behind me. We locked eyes, and for a moment, everything else faded. His gaze was soft, unreadable, but it felt like there was so much unsaid in the space between us. He didn’t say anything, not a single word, but his presence spoke louder than anything could.
I stood still for a moment, unsure of what to do next. Neither of us moved, but neither of us looked away either. The silence lingered, heavy and familiar.
I smiled softly, then turned back and began walking toward the beach. By the time I arrived, the air was colder than I expected, A crisp chill in the air made me pull my hoodie tighter around me, trying to keep the cold at bay. I sat down, wrapping my arms around myself, trying to find warmth in the stillness of the night.
Without a word, Axel appeared beside me. He gently draped his jacket over my shoulders, the warmth of it wrapping around me, offering more comfort than I realized I needed. I looked up, my breath catching for a second as I met his gaze, but he was already taking a few steps back, distancing himself.
He sat down a bit further away, his eyes fixed on the beach and the waves rolling in under the dark sky. The moonlight reflected off the water, casting a soft glow on everything, but I found my attention drifting back to Axel. I couldn’t help it. His quiet demeanor, the way he observed the world around him—it was like he was in tune with everything. For a moment, I caught myself admiring him, his profile soft in the moonlight, his posture relaxed yet strong.
The silence between us felt comfortable, not awkward. It was as though, in this moment, there was no need for words. We just existed together, the sound of the waves, the chill in the air, and the quiet understanding between us.
The sun was about to rise any minute, and I glanced over at Axel, who looked like he was on the verge of falling asleep. I felt guilty for dragging him out here. Standing up, I walked over to him and handed his jacket back, noticing how cold it was and how he only had a sleeveless shirt on. Without saying anything, I sat next to him, gently placing his head on my shoulder, offering him the warmth I could.
I heard Axel sigh softly, and when I looked over at him, he seemed lost in thought. My gaze drifted to the waves, and just then, the sun began to rise, painting the sky with hues of pink and orange. The sight made me straighten my posture, while Axel stretched and yawned, still staring at the horizon in silence. I couldn’t help but smile at the peaceful moment, before standing up and grabbing my phone to capture a photo of the sunrise.
I gently patted Axel’s head, feeling his messy hair beneath my hand. He looked so relaxed, yet on the verge of falling asleep. He looked up at me, and I gave him a soft smile, an unfamiliar flutter starting in my stomach. He slowly stood up, taking a few steps back before raising his phone. I turned to look at him, and to my surprise, he was taking a photo of me with the sunrise behind me. I couldn’t help but smile wider, feeling a faint blush creeping up my nose as I realized how much I enjoyed this moment.
As Axel put his phone down, I walked over to him, unable to resist the urge to give him a big hug. There were no words exchanged, just the sound of silence, the gentle lapping of the waves against the shore, and the warmth of the moment. As we pulled apart, the sunlight hit Axel’s face, casting a golden glow. He squinted slightly from the brightness, but the way the light accentuated his features made him even more captivating.
Without thinking, I reached out, cupping his cheek gently. He looked down at me with a soft, almost questioning gaze, and I couldn’t quite place the feeling swirling in my chest. Maybe it was the exhaustion from the long day, the weight of everything that had happened since the Sekai Taikai, or maybe it was just the way Axel made me feel like I was losing control of my thoughts.
I leaned in, my hands cradling his face, giving him one last, lingering look. His breath caught slightly, and for a moment, I hesitated, unsure of what was driving me. But the pull between us was undeniable. Without thinking further, I closed the space between us, pressing my lips to his.
The moment our lips met, everything seemed to pause. It wasn’t forceful or rushed, but rather soft, tentative—like we were both unsure yet certain at the same time. The warmth from his skin, the faint scent of the ocean mixed with the remnants of his cologne, surrounded me. I felt the gentle press of his lips against mine, a quiet reassurance, as though he was waiting for me to pull away if I needed to.
I didn’t.
Instead, I leaned into him just slightly, feeling the way his hand hesitated at my waist before it gently rested there, steadying both of us. His lips moved slowly, carefully, as if savoring the moment. There was a vulnerability in it, an unspoken question, and it made my heart race in a way I hadn’t expected.
Time seemed to stretch, the sounds of the waves crashing against the shore fading into the background as everything else became a blur. It was just the two of us, caught in this quiet, intimate exchange that somehow spoke louder than any words could.
When we finally pulled apart, my head rested on his chest, breathless. My heart was pounding, my body still humming from the kiss. His hand gently brushed a strand of hair from my face, his eyes soft with something that felt like understanding—maybe even a little awe. Neither of us said anything, but in the silence, there was a shared certainty. It had happened.
Walking back to the hotel was quiet, but not in an uncomfortable way. It was that kind of silence where everything felt right, where words weren’t needed to fill the space. We just enjoyed each other’s company, the soft rhythm of our footsteps in sync.
When we reached my hotel room, I turned to face him, my hands resting gently on his shoulders. Before either of us could say anything, he leaned in, and we kissed again. This time, it was different. It was deeper, more intense, as if we were trying to memorize every sensation in case it was the last time. The kiss held a sense of urgency, an unspoken longing. Even though we both knew we’d see each other again that evening, in that moment, it felt like saying goodbye.
We pulled back reluctantly, but neither of us wanted to let go. Axel gave me a quick, soft kiss on the lips before stepping into the elevator. As the door began to close, I waved at him, my cheeks flushed with a mix of warmth and the excitement of the moment.
The elevator door closed with a soft ding, and I turned to face my room, my heart still racing. I knocked on the door, hoping Sam would be inside, but there was no response. No sign of life from the other side. Sighing, I leaned against the door, feeling a little deflated but still smiling, the feeling of Axel’s kiss lingering on my lips.
I leaned against the wall for a few minutes, the silence of the hallway around me, letting my mind replay the moments with Axel. Then, my phone buzzed, snapping me out of my thoughts. I glanced at the screen, surprised to see a notification: Axel had followed me on Instagram.
A smile tugged at my lips as I quickly tapped the follow button to return the gesture. Right after, I saw the message pop up from him. My heart skipped a beat as I opened it.
‘Have a nice sleep. Thank you for today,’
I sighed, smiling to myself as I replayed the events of the night in my head. The warmth from our kiss still lingered, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of happiness that was hard to shake. But then, suddenly, a thought hit me—I didn’t have a room to go to.
My heart skipped a beat as I realized that Sam was probably still out and I hadn’t made any arrangements for the night. I glanced at the empty hallway, feeling a little lost. The idea of wandering around the hotel wasn’t exactly appealing
‘Axel, could you do me a favor?’ I typed, my fingers pausing before I hit send.
‘Of course, what is it?’ The text said and I sighed.
‘I seem to have forgotten my room key, and I don’t really want to wake up Sam. Could you help me out and let me crash in your room for the night? Just until morning,’ I texted, hitting send before I could second-guess myself.
I smiled, feeling a mix of relief and excitement as I read his message. Room 415. I quickly grabbed my things and made my way to the elevator. My heart raced a little faster than usual, but this time it wasn’t from anxiety—it was more of an anticipation.
As I stood waiting for the elevator doors to open, my phone buzzed again. Another notification from Axel.
‘Don’t worry, the bed’s big enough. You can relax.’
I chuckled softly to myself, feeling even more at ease. With a quick breath, I stepped into the elevator, and the doors closed behind me. It wasn’t much longer before I reached his floor.
I walked down the hallway, my footsteps almost echoing in the quiet of the night. When I arrived at his door, I hesitated for a moment before knocking softly.
The door opened almost immediately, and Axel stood there with a relaxed smile on his face, clearly having been waiting for me.
‘Hey,’ he greeted, stepping aside to let me in. ‘Make yourself at home.’
I stepped inside, feeling a warm sense of comfort wash over me. The quiet intimacy of the room felt calming, and I couldn’t help but feel a little more at peace.
I looked at Axel, taking in his casual yet somehow perfect appearance: a black hoodie, a white shirt underneath, and grey sweatpants that somehow made him look effortlessly handsome. There was a comfort in the way he stood, relaxed but confident.
I walked up to him, my heart pounding a little faster, the distance between us growing smaller with each step. Standing on my tiptoes, I gently cupped his face before leaning in and kissing him softly. The kiss was light at first, tentative, but as I started to pull away, he caught me by the waist, pulling me closer. His lips met mine again, this time with more urgency, more passion. The kiss deepened, our connection intensifying, as if neither of us wanted to let go of this moment.
My hands found their way to his chest, feeling the warmth of his body through his hoodie, while his arms wrapped around me, holding me close. The room around us faded away, and all that mattered was the feeling of his lips on mine, the way his touch made my heart race. It was a kiss that said more than words could, a kiss that made everything else feel insignificant.
After some time, we reluctantly pulled away, the lingering warmth of the kiss still filling the air. I yawned, suddenly feeling how exhausted I was, the weight of the day catching up to me. Axel, noticing, gently handed me some clothes, and I smiled gratefully at him before heading into the bathroom.
The shower was quick but refreshing, the hot water washing away the tension and fatigue. I quickly braided my hair, feeling a little more awake as I stepped out of the bathroom. When I emerged, I saw Axel lying on the mattress on the floor, his eyes closed, clearly trying to get some rest. His posture was relaxed, and he seemed so at ease in the room, even though the circumstances weren’t ideal.
I paused for a moment, watching him. There was something so comforting about how he looked there, in his own little world, yet still so present with me. With a small sigh, I walked over to the edge of the mattress, sitting down beside him. He opened one eye, glancing up at me before offering a sleepy smile.
‘Getting some sleep now?’ I asked softly, trying not to disturb his calm.
‘Yeah, just waiting for you,’ he murmured, his voice thick with sleepiness. ‘But, I’m not going to last long.’
I smile. ‘Why are you on the floor?’ I ask softly, gently caressing his cheek. ‘You can sleep with me if you’d like.’
Axel hesitated for a moment, his gaze softening as he looked up at me. The offer hung in the air between us, quiet but filled with unspoken understanding. He blinked slowly, clearly processing my words.
‘I didn’t want to make things awkward,’ he said, his voice low, almost hesitant. ‘I figured you’d prefer your space.’
I smiled, brushing my thumb across his cheek gently. ‘It’s not awkward,’ I reassured him. ‘You’re always welcome to be close. Don’t worry about it.’
He looked at me for a second longer before giving a small, almost shy smile. ‘Thanks.’
Without another word, he shifted, moving toward the bed, his body still tense but clearly relieved. He laid down next to me, a little awkwardly at first, but then his body relaxed as he settled in.
I pulled the blanket over both of us, my hand finding his, squeezing it gently. The warmth between us was comforting, and for a moment, everything felt right. We both closed our eyes, the silence between us now peaceful and easy, as we drifted off to sleep together.

author's note ⋆。𖦹 ✮ ‧₊˚✩彡
hiiiii this is my first fic for any CK character so i'm kinda nervous. hope u like it. i started a pt. 2 already bc i just love axel but i also wanna write him in different scenarios as well! will open my requests asap :)
c.w.
s6pt2 spoilers, drinking.
being in barcelona was a dream. you were grateful that you were able to tag along with the miyagi do's. sensei larusso and sensei lawerence always liked you, especially johnny. being miguel's best friend is a privilege you were happy to have. sure, it came with a lot of drama but it also came with a protector, a group of friends, and some karate skills.
plus, being miyagi do's water girl wasn't a bad deal for being flown out to barcelona.
you were enjoying being on the inside of all the events while not needing to fight. the first couple of rounds you seen were intense. being around all these powerful people made you a little nervous but you had hope nothing terrible would happen like the rumble at west valley. these weren't angry teenagers fueled off drama and angst, they're athletes. aspiring professionals.
after miyagi do managed to stay in the game by the skin of their teeth, everyone was getting ready to go out. sam was talking your and devons ear off about spain and all the things her and miguel were going to do in their freetime when there was a knock at the door. you got up from your spot at the vanity and opened it to see miguel.
he was distressed, foot anxiously tapping with a hand through his hair. "is sam in here?"
"yeah, sam." you waved her over to the door. "you good, miggy?" miguel opened his mouth to speak and his eyes immediately welled up with tears. "what's wrong?"
"my mom..." his voice shook as he took sam in his arms for a hug. "something's wrong with the baby, i need to go back home." he spoke, voice muffled by sams hair.
"of course." you nodded. "is there anything we can do?"
he only shook his head and hugged sam harder.
"miguel." johnny said from the end of the hallway and beckoned him.
miguel let sam go and gave you a quick but tight hug before taking off. you and sam share an uneasy look before going back inside the room.
"miguel's going back home? sensei too?" devon asked and the two of you nodded.
"i need a drink." you said, grabbing your purse.
***
at the bar, everyone just seemed to take the gloominess with them. knowing miguel was struggling made it impossible to have fun.
"what are we going to do now that miguel's gone?" devon asked hawk and demitri.
"we could always have y/n take his spot?" hawk said, giving you a look over like he was sizing you up.
you scoffed. "yeah right, i wasn't even good enough to fight for a spot in the sekai tekai. getting my ass kicked on the world stage isn't on my bucket list."
"i'm serious." hawk said. "if they can't get kenny, you're next up. so don't black out this time." hawk pointed at your drink, remembering the time you got blackout drunk and threw up all over the inside of his car at one of moons parties.
"i'd prefer drunk y/n over kenny any day." demitri started. "at least she didn't shit her pants."
"oooookay." you stood up, taking your empty glass with you. "i'm getting another drink." you saw the way they were looking at you. "my last one. i don't think you guys will need me but if you do, i'll be ready. i promise."
you walked over to the bar, where sam and robby were sitting. "hey."
"hey." sam said and robby only nodded.
"what's with him?" you noticed robby's bad mood as soon as you walked up.
"maybe you can help." sam stood up, taking her cup with her. "i'm gonna go sit with the others for a sec, see if miguel still has service."
"okay." you nodded, taking sams spot at the bar. "what's wrong?"
"everything." robby sighed. "i need a drink."
you wanted to tell him not to, that it wouldn't solve anything but you knew that he already knew.
"get one, whatever you want. i got us for the first round." you took some cash from your pocket. "hey, can i get a mai tai and..."
"a rum and coke. double. please." robby asked and the bartender nodded, getting to work on your drinks.
"it's one of those nights, huh?" he only nodded, peering at the other edge of the bar for a moment before scoffing and turning back to you.
"yeah." you looked down to where he had just looked, to see tory and kwon sitting besided each other. kwon had an arm around her shoulders and was whispering something in her ear.
"i'm sorry robby. she's gonna come around, i know she is."
"i don't know. she's doing better without me." robby took a sip of his drink and looked down to where tory was sitting. kwon had separated from her but was still close. "and i'm here." he looked at his drink. "thanks by the way."
"it's not good to drink alone. especially when you're down." you nodded, taking a sip of your drink. "also, i missed out on the robby who smoked weed and skated everywhere. i hear he was kinda fun."
"i still skate everywhere." he said with a small laugh. "just not a skate rat anymore."
"yeah, you're the captain now." you gently nudged his shoulder. "i don't know how that feels exactly, the pressure, but i do know that you're gonna make everyone back home proud. especially tory."
"i hope so." he took another drink and eventually, his was gone.
"i know so. she's been watching every one of your fights."
robby cringed a little bit. "knowing i've lost every one of my fights definitely makes me feel lame."
"you're still in it. there's still tomorrow." you took another sip of your drink.
robby nodded. "i'm gonna go to the bathroom."
you nodded in return, looking over your shoulder to see hawk on his phone, sam and devon talking, and demitri dancing with a girl. when you turned back to where robby was sitting, kwon was in his seat.
"hi."
"hello." you were playing with your straw.
"what are you drinking?"
"a mai tai." your responses were dry but kwon wasn't backing off.
"do you want to dance?" he offered his hands but you shook your head, backing away a little.
"no, thanks."
"what? you're only miyagi do's little girlfriend? not for the rest of us?" kwon leaned in closer. "i can treat you better than keene."
"leave me alone, kwon."
"hey." robby's voice came from behind you.
kwon only scoffed and backed up. "someone's waiting for me anyways." he stood up. "i promise i'll keep her warm tonight, keene." he said before leaving the bar.
"are you okay?"
"i need some air." you stood up and went outside, leaving your friends at the bar. you felt bad for leaving robby alone but you couldn't be there anymore.
you felt the effects of the alcohol as you walked down to the beach. your head was spinning. you stopped and took a seat near the shore, sighing as you looked out to the water.
and then you saw him.
axel kovacevic.
he had been destroying his opponents on the mat. nobody's been able to land a point on him. he was one of the strongest competitors. he was stoic too, especially now as he was practicing his kata about 10 feet away from you. in the moonlight, by the ocean, with the alcohol making your perspective soft, he wasn't robotic. he was focused. until he caught you staring at him.
you made eye contact and immediately looked down at your lap. you waited about 5 seconds to check if he was still looking and he was full on staring. it was awkward. he wasn't looking at you as a threat, but with curiosity.
the two of you observed each other for a silent minute before you decided to say something. "hi." you waved and he didn't say anything in return. "you're axel right?" he nodded. "i'm y/n. i liked the kata you were doing."
"i'm not supposed to speak with opponent." he turned away from you and you stood up.
"i'm not your opponent. i'm not even fighting in the tournament. more like, emergency backup." you smiled, watching the corner of his lips tug upwards.
"why aren't you fighting?" he asked curiously, taking a step closer to you.
"i'm not really a fighter like my friends are." you shrugged. "you're great though."
"i'm alright." he leaned over to pick up his shirt and revealed bruises on his back. the sight made you wince.
"what happened?"
"bo staff competition."
"nobody has been able to land a point on you yet." you looked at him and he had a sort of an embarrassed look. "i know about... your sensei. one of my friends saw. it's not right. you should be out with your team, not practicing alone."
"there's always time for practice. my sensei wants me to be the best. it's because of him i never lose."
"doesn't make it right." you responded. "your entire dojo is pretty great though, i have to admit."
"you're pretty." axel stopped himself. your face was on fire and so was his. "your dojo's pretty good too."
"thanks. do you wanna walk with me? back to the hotel?" you asked, rocking on your heels. axel looked around and nodded and you both took off into the night.
"how long have you been fighting for?" you asked.
"ever since i was a kid. what about you?"
"only a couple years. after one of my friends got really hurt, i decided i had to get serious about learning. he had been teaching me some stuff but when it happened i just had to join a dojo. it was actually... cobra kai."
axel looked at you in disbelief. "you were in cobra kai?"
"yeah. after miguel got hurt, i was really angry and i took it out on everyone."
"miguel..."
"he was the original cobra kai." you remembered when miguel excitedly showed you his first gi. "it's a long story though. those sensei's, silver. they put me and all my friends through hell. so i know what its like to have a sensei do anything to make you the best, even hurt you."
axel couldn't say anything, he could only look at you with wonder. "is that why you don't fight anymore?"
"kind of. i don't know. i'm just not as angry as i used to be. i feel like my anger was the only reason i was ever good and i don't wanna live like that." you shrugged.
"i understand." he nodded. "i love karate but i don't want to be a robot all the time." you shook your head and opened your mouth to speak but he interrupted. "i hear what everyone says. they call me a monster, a machine. sometimes i just want to be axel." you nodded, this time you didn't have anything to say. "that's why i like to travel. i get to disappear in each city whenever i'm not fighting."
"how many cities have you been to?"
"a lot." he chuckled and listed all the cities and countries he's been to. you listened in awe. "what about you?"
"i've never really left california." you responded. "but after being here, i'd love to see everything. the sagrada familia makes me feel small but not in a scary way. it's like a monument to the great things humans can do."
"how cute!" a familiar voice interrupted. "little rival team playtime, huh?" kwon and another cobra kai came from around the corner. "thought you were only for miyagi do to play with."
"and i thought i told you to leave me alone." you tried to push past them but they blocked the path. you could smell the alcohol on kwons breath as he spoke. "just let us go."
"what's the magic word?" kwon asked, leaning in closer to you.
"move." you responded bluntly, not wanting anything else to do with this.
"wrong." kwon scoffed and shook his head. he glanced over your shoulder and you were sure someone was behind you.
"we just want to go back to the hotel." you weren't planning on giving kwon what he wanted.
"okay. you can go, only if you say please." kwon was in your face again, smug smile plastered on his face.
before you knew it, the other cobra kai kicked axel. it barely affected him as he shot into action to defend the both of you.
"come on, hit me. show me why they brought you here." kwon tapped his cheek and you were about to raise your arm when you were grabbed from behind. you elbowed whoever grabbed you multiple times before being able to slither out and kick him across the face. at the same time, axel shoved the other cobra kai into kwon. "okay come on. i'll take you both."
the sound of sirens took everyone but kwon out of the fight. he was still pressing axel and had to be taken away by his teammates.
"come on, let's go."
the two of you bolted back to the beach. after catching your breath, you started laughing a little.
"what?" axel asked.
"that guy kicked you and you barely moved. you have a strong base."
axel looked away from you, a smile spreading across his face. "thanks. that was a nice roundhouse."
"thanks, axel." you smiled at him and then looked out at the ocean. when you looked back at him, he was staring. no, he was admiring you. "what?"
axel said nothing, he only reached to tuck a piece of hair behind your ear. his hand brushed against your face and you leaned into the touch.
and then he kissed you.
and you kissed him back. it was perfect. he was cradling your face with one hand, pulling you closer by your waist with the other. his mouth moved against yours softly and romantically. it was sweet. he didn't want anything other than to kiss you and you were happy to oblige and let yourself be putty in his hands.
but then your head started spinning again. you pulled away abruptly, taking a deep breath as you came up for air. the alcohol, the running, and the kissing were all making you dizzy. "axel i-."
"i'm sorry, i should go. already after curfew." axel took off running down the beach.
"wait, axel!" you called out after him but he was gone. you felt terrible as you went back inside the bar to meet with your team. everyone was already heading out and robby was nowhere to be seen. you figured he had went back to the hotel and hoped he would be fine. everyone else on the other hand would be dealing with their drama for a minute, including yourself.

Hi your axel fic was really good! I was wondering if you could write a fic about kwon and a Miyagi-Do reader.Enemies to lovers lots of tension.
thank you so much and thank you aswell for requesting, i had sm fun with writing this!! i hope you enjoy :)
locker room
pairing: kwon jae-sung x reader
summary: kwon and y/n hated eachother, because of a little incident on the first day.. and because of the karate thing. but kwon can’t help but flirt around a little bit.
warnings: stupid rivalry, enemies to lovers!, kissing, making out, kwon is sassy, flirting, swearing,
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you were so excited to be on the miyagi-do team for the sekai takai! you weren’t captain, but you didn’t mind at all because you had your best friend, sam, there with you and you knew your capabilities under pressure.
it was practically your natural state at this point :)
you and sam decided to share a room in barcelona. which was probably for the better, considering neither of you wanted to share with the boys, except for maybe sam and miguel.
after an insanely long flight, you arrived at the hotel and immediately dropped your backpack to your bed and felt each tired muscle in your back start to decompress.
you went to shower, wanting to rinse off the dirt from travelling. after washing your hair and body, you stepped out and dried yourself off. you brushed through your knotted, wet hair and put on some baggy shorts and an off-shoulder tshirt.
it was around 5:30pm, which meant it was around 8am back home, most of your team wouldn’t even be awake yet. you went back into the main area of the room and saw sam laying on her bed, scrolling on her phone.
“i’m gonna go down to the buffet and see if i can grab something to eat, do you want anything?” you asked her and she wearily looked up from her phone and replied with a “no, thanks!”
you smiled and acknowledged her response before you put on some sneakers and grabbed your phone and room key from on top the dresser, and headed out. you made your way to the elevator and managed to find the open buffet nearby the reception.
the buffet was relatively empty, which wasn’t surprising due to the lack of people who typically had an appetite at 5:30pm. there was one or two people in the corner, eating something you couldn’t quite make out, and someone else on the right hand side of the room.
you grabbed two pieces of a brown bread at the back of the serving tray. once you did, you grabbed a selection of butter, avocado and some smoked salmon, putting it beside the bread on your plate. yum!
you grabbed some tissues, and a knife and fork and began to walk back towards the elevator. the elevator was empty, so your ride was quite peaceful. you held the plate with both hands, the knife and fork, and napkin were balanced in your right hand.
Tumblr media
you were so focused on holding onto your plate and keeping it steady, that as soon as you heard the elevator doors open with a ding!, you stepped out and immediately collided with a tall figure infront of you.
you watched in horror as the slimier foods slid down the person’s body and your plate landed on the carpet with a soft thump. you tilted your head upwards to look at their reaction before you frantically apologised.
of course, he was fucking gorgeous. the first enemy you make for yourself in barcelona was one of the most handsome men you had ever seen. he glared down at you which such anger. “what the fuck?” he said, with a thick, korean accent.
damn even his voice was hot!
as you came back up again you began to apologise. “i’m so sorry, i didn’t mean to spill that on you, i can help you clean it or-“ you paused your rambling as you watched the guy continue to glare at you angrily through your speech.
his gaze was filled with nothing but fury. “don’t let it fucking happen again.” he bumped your shoulder as he walked past you, to the elevator. you knelt back down to the floor to clean up as much as you could, before you just went back to your room.
Tumblr media
you saw him again the next day. the sekai takai had organised a field trip to the barcelona aquarium. there was a lot of different people there, but only one really stood out to you, and that was kwon.
well, clearly he stood out, i mean he was yelling at everyone, challenging all of the dojo captains to a kicking contest, and of course, robby couldn’t just step aside for once.
you were peacefully drinking your water, as the boys spoke, and it was safe to say you had zoned out completely. that was until you heard what they were betting. you coughed and spluttered, putting your water bottle into sam’s hands and struggling to speak for a second.
“sorry what?” you asked, with a mix of confusion and embarrassment. kwon’s head turns to you with his signature smirk, one you only noticed now, as before he had only thrown scowls your way.
“i said..” he paused and took one step closer to you. “if he wins, he gets my room, if i win, i get yours.” he delivered with a wink. you felt your cheeks heat up, confused as to why this was because you were enraged.
“what, how is that fair, i’m not even playing?” you answered, angry that your room was being gambled away without your consent. your weight shifted from one foot to the other.
“oh relax, sweetheart, i wouldn’t kick you out or anything.” he flirted with you once more before he turned his body back to robby and held out his hand
“deal.” robby answered, and they shook on it. you gasped, and pushed robby in the chest. but at the same time, you were confused because why would this hot guy from the elevator, who DESPISES you, want the key to your room?
despite his skills, robby somehow lost the competition and you find yourself face to face with kwon. “hand over the room key, princess.” you wanted nothing more than to wipe the stupid smirk off his face and tell him to leave you alone. your response was only a little bit nicer than that. “no.” you replied, your gaze shifting around the room, as you felt scared to look him in the eyes.
“if you’re gonna try to reject me, at least look in my eyes when you do it.” he spoke, his voice low and commanding. something about it made you wanna listen, and so you did.
you stared into his dark eyes and repeated yourself. “i don’t want to give you my room key.” he chuckled to himself, under his breath. you maintained eye contact, not wanting to pull away.
he rolled his eyes at your attitude. “okay, well i’m gonna talk to your captain over there, and sort this out because a deal is a deal.” he replied and started walking over to robby.
they argued back and forth for a while but in the end, you didn’t have to sleep in a room with kwon. much to his dismay, robby gave up him and miguel’s room and had to share with the other boys.
Tumblr media
your next interaction happened on the day of the final. cobra kai had narrowly escaped elimination and were going to fight in the last round. the matches were 30 minutes from starting and you had only then realised that you wouldn’t have another opportunity to go back inside the locker rooms and you left your water bottle there.
you ran over to the shared locker rooms, one you coincidentally shared with cobra kai, as soon as you arrived, you found yourself stopped in the doorway watching as the very guy you had secretly hoped to see was there, packing up some of his gear.
the large metal door was propped open by a small wooden doorstop, a detail that you had missed in the midst of your staring. you took a step forward and knocked over the doorstop. you stumbled, nearly falling to the ground.
kwon turned around at this and let out a small laugh at your misfortune, but he shut up as soon as he realised the door was shut and could not be opened from the inside.
“do you have any idea what you just did.” he practically growled at you. he was absolutely enraged, but he didn’t seem as angry as he had been during the elevator incident. you apologised but he still seemed quite angry.
you sat down against the wall, and he sat on a bench across from you. there was quite a loud silence between you, except for the quiet whirring of the fan above you. you couldn’t seem to take your eyes off of kwon. he bothered you, and confused you and made you feel things and ugh.
you hated him, but most of all you hated his karate. wait.. maybe you could start a conversation about that! “what got you into cobra kai?” you asked him.
you looked up at him and he met your gaze. he swallowed, and left the silence there for a moment as he thought of what to say.
“well, i was in a dojang before, do you know what that is?” he replied and you nodded along, your interest piqued.
“so my kwanjang was incredibly conservative. she knew one style of teaching and disciplined anyone who didn’t feel comfortable with it. it was rough, it was such a fucked up environment, but then sensei kreese came and she never relaxed but he helped me seize my power, and i haven’t really looked back since then.”
he spoke with conviction and you were surprised by his sincerity. you thought for a moment, never taking your eyes off his and replied. “i get that.”
a beat passed. “but cobra kai is angry, it’s viscous, and there’s no ethics to it. no mercy is not how the real world works.”
he swallowed and nodded, accepting the weight of your words, and you were impressed that he was so considerate of you. he matched your behaviour, taking his time to think of what to say before he replied.
“well, look. at the end of the day, i have to look out for myself. i know who i am and no dojo can change it.”
you accepted his answer, truth be told, you fully agreed. and your impression of him completely shifted. you shivered slightly, the room had turned quite cold. kwon noticed and you watched as he removed the cobra kai hoodie he wore over his gi.
he offered it to you which you gladly accepted, and flushed a little. he scooted across the floor to hand it over to you.
he was really close and he brushed his fingers over your wrist as he handed it to you. you put it on, and he felt something inside him flutter as he saw you in his clothes.
you glanced at him and he was so close you couldn’t feel your legs anymore. you couldn’t feel your fingers or the emptiness of the room because all you paid attention to was his gaze, that was still never left you.
his expression turned vulnerable as he put a hand to your cheek. “please don’t hit me for this…” he whispered, as he leaned in close to you and kissed you.
his lips were soft and you couldn’t help but wrap your fingers around his collar to pull him closer to you. you kissed him with passion and at some point, you pulled back, out of breath.
he seemed even more vulnerable for a moment, thinking he was just rejected. “do you want me to stop?” he asked you, his voice laced with a worry that you found difficult to detect.
you panted for a second, your hands never leaving his collar and your eyes never leaving his. “just the opposite, please.” you mumbled breathily against his lips as you pulled him back in, reconnecting your lips.

I Love You, I'm Sorry (Part Two) | Axel Kovačević x Fem! Reader
Part 1
Summary: Axel has given you time and space after your break-up, waiting for the perfect time to get to know you all over again. But of course, there's push back.
Word Count: 3k Warnings: none, angst, fluff
Tumblr media
gif is not mine
A few weeks have passed since you broke up with Ian, the disappointment outweighing the sadness you felt by the situation as a whole.
You were lucky you had your friends by your side when ever you did start to feel that ache in your chest.
Worried you might have overreacted, Sam and Tory reminded you that under no circumstance should someone place money on any situation with anyone. It was evil.
When you began to enter the room with your big smile and bubbly energy again, your friends knew you were okay. Axel knew you were okay.
As much as he didn't want to admit it, Axel had been keeping a close eye on you lately since your last interaction with Ian.
He was looking for the right time to approach you and see where things fell between you two. While things between still somewhat remained the same, he felt just a little bit of hope for a second chance with you.
And you felt the same.
You just sat down at the table with Tory and Robby, waiting for your other friends to join you for lunch.
All at once, Miguel, Sam, Hawk, Demetri, and their girlfriends trickled into the group, Axel sneakily coming in to sit next to you.
"I think I want to throw a party for my 18th birthday," Moon says catching everyone's attention.
"Oh my god, yes," Yazmin agrees with her best friend. "You need a theme."
"Oh, this should be good," Tory chuckles looking over at Robby.
"When would you do it?" You ask picking up your phone to check your calendar.
"Probably next Saturday, my birthday is that Thursday," Moon responds. You press the date she's referring to and smile when you see it's blank.
"We don't have practice that Saturday," you enlighten your team. They all let out a cheer, relived they could enjoy a day to relax and have fun.
You turn slightly to your right seeing Axel quietly munching on one of his mandarin oranges.
"Think you'll go?" You ask, bumping your shoulder lightly with his.
"Will you be there?" He questions back. You feel a turn in your stomach, your mind hoping he was interested in your attendance.
"Duh," you reply like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Probably not then," he gives you a small smirk popping another slice of orange into his mouth.
"Ha ha," you mock him. He laughs at your response, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning back in his seat.
"Yeah, I'll go," he shrugs nonchalantly. In the back of Axel's mind, he swore he saw a look of relief in your eyes when he confirms he would be going to the party.
And he would be right. You had spent the last few weeks working up the courage to mend things between you and Axel, now felt like the perfect time to burry the hatchet and start new.
The time's you had dissociate mid conversation with your friends, they had come to believe it was you becoming saddened by your recent break-up when it fact, it was you thinking about Axel.
You didn't care about Ian, or what he had done, he meant nothing to you. Unbeknownst to your friends and Axel, he was merely just a distraction from what, or whom you really wanted.
Which was the tall, moody boy sitting next to you.
"You should probably eat some of this," Axel places a piece of his Cutie mandarin on your plate. "You've been looking kind of tired at practice."
You narrowed your eyes at his accusation. "I do not!"
"Do too," he says cockily making you scoff and cross your arms over your chest defensively.
"Conversations with you are tiring," you shot back, taking the small piece of the orange fruit and tossing it into your mouth.
"No they're not, you love our conversations," he pesters placing another slice of the cutie in front of you. You roll your eyes taking the food.
"Oh yes, highlight of my day, honestly," you respond sarcastically, a smile tugging on your lips.
"I know," he grins finishing off his clementine, wiping his fingers off a napkin.
You pretend to focus back on Moon who was explain the details about her party, trying not focus on the soft blush sitting on Axel's face and the warmth enveloping in your chest.
------------------------------------------------------
The next few days were interesting to say the least, you and Axel found yourselves talking, not bickering, more than usual.
And even when you would have your normal banter, it always ended with both of you laughing light-heartedly. Your friends seemed to notice this too.
You're sitting against the wall inside the small dojo of Miyagi-Do, your melting latte perched next to you, with your eyes slumped shut.
"Tired, are we?" You hear, making you pop one eye open you see Axel smirking to himself as he shuts the door, walking into the small place.
"No!" You blink your eyes repeatedly trying to wake up from the nap you were almost achieving. Taking a long gulp of your coffee, you wipe your mouth as Axel moves to stand in front of you.
Axel raises an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. "Uh-huh. That totally convinced me."
You huff, stretching your legs out in front of you. "I’m not tired."
Axel crouches down to your level, resting his arms on his knees. "Prove it."
You take another long sip of your drink, the ice falling to the lid as you finished your caffeine to give you some extra strength.
"Fine, move," you order him, slowly standing up from your spot. He chuckles, reaching his right hand out.
You stare at his outstretched hand for a second before taking it, letting him pull you up effortlessly. The moment lingers just a second too long, his grip firm, thumb barely grazing yours before he lets go.
You're not sure if it's the coffee, but your heart flips in your chest at the small moment, you let out a throat clearing cough to shake off the nerves.
"Don't go soft on me now, Kovačević" you tease him playfully. You both get into your starting positions across from each other.
"I wouldn't dream of it," he gives you an evil grin.
Without hesitation, you lunge at him, aiming a light jab at his side. Axel dodges easily, chuckling. "That’s it? Now i know you're really sleepy."
You scoff, feinting another punch before spinning to sweep his legs out from under him. But Axel being quick, hops back just in time, grabbing your wrist mid-movement and twisting you around effortlessly.
In seconds, your back is against his chest, his arm loosely wrapped around your middle.
"You were saying?" he murmurs near your ear, his voice smug.
Your heart stutters, but you refuse to let him win. Using his slight distraction to your advantage, use your free arm wrapping it around the back of neck, and jumping up to wrap your legs on either side of Axel's hips to throw you two forward and roll up back on your feet with Axel on the ground.
Tumblr media
"Awake enough for you now?" You smirk looking back, down at him
Axel stares up at you breathless, still taken back by the way you fight with ease. It's one of things he admires about you.
"I think that nap really did the trick," he smiles up at you goofily. You laugh, lending him your hand so he could stand up, but stubborn like you, he didn't go down without a fight.
Axel pulls you down to fall on top of him, and rolls you on your back so he could be above you. The both of you erupt with laughter, knowing the take downs could go on for hours.
As you began to calm down, you notice Axel's expression slips into a serious one as he stared at you.
"I-I'm sorry," he stutters. You tilt your head in confusion.
"For what?"
His colorful eyes are unable to meet your own, he sits up in his place, wrapping his arms around his bent knees.
"I'm sorry for how I handled things after the partner skills competition," he looks back at you. "We lost because of me."
You sighed sitting up as well. "It was both of our fault's, you and I had opposite upbringings in karate and somehow it all got messy and we miscommunicated."
He nods in agreement. "Well, I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry, too," you give him a sincere smile. As the silence overcomes you, a tension lingers in the air as you both stare at one another.
Before either of you can say anything else, the doors slide open revealing Sam and Miguel staring back at you both amused.
"We've been looking all over for you guys!" Sam spoke first.
Miguel smirked, crossing his arms as he leaned against the doorway. "Should we give you two a moment?"
You rolled your eyes moving to stand up, Axel following suit.
"We were just talking," you chuckled wiping your hands off your leggings.
"You two? Talking?" Sam raises her eyebrows.
"Apparently it's something people do," Axel fakes a gasp as all four of you begin to trail out of the small home and into the backyard where everyone else was.
As you passed Sam, she reaches a hand out to grab your arm, holding you back.
"What is going on?" She whispers over for only you to hear.
"Nothing," you shrugged glancing back at the boy you were just talking to. "We...worked things out."
Sam gave you a skeptical look, her eyes flicking between you and Axel, who was now casually talking with Miguel near the sparring mats.
"Worked things out?" she repeated, her tone dripping with curiosity. "So does that mean—"
"It means," you cut in, shooting her a knowing look, "that we’re not at each other’s throats anymore. That’s all."
"Finally!" the brunette cheered. "I have been waiting for this."
"Waiting for what?" Tory approaches you and Sam.
"For her and Axel to finally realize they're meant to be together," Sam sing songs.
"Oh, that, right," Tory nods. "Took you guys long enough."
"Okay, I have no idea what you two are talking about," you interrupt. "We just started getting along."
"Right, right," your two friends share a knowing look with each other as you stayed in denial.
Before you could respond, Sensei Lawerence called everyone over to start warm-ups.
-----------------------------------------------------
After a successful Thursday practice, your team talked amongst themselves, packing up their stuff for the night.
You toss your gym bag onto the bench, pulling out your water bottle to take a sip when you see Axel walking towards you.
"Did you finish the history assignment Ms. Webber gave us earlier?" You asked as he placed his bag down next to yours.
"Nope," Axel sighed remembering the unfinished paper waited for him after this. "I have to finish it when I get home."
"Same, it was a lot of questions," you complained setting your water back down.
"FaceTime me later, maybe we can work through it together," the boy offers. You smile with a nod.
"Yeah, that'd be great," you agreed.
"You gonna head out?" He asks seeing you slip your shoes on.
Before you can respond, you realize you forgot something back on the sparring deck.
"In a little bit, I forgot my jacket outside," you say tossing your phone on to your bag. "Wait for me?"
Axel gives you a small smile reassuring you he'd still be there when you get back. As you stepped into the backyard, he sees your phone light up, a few texts popping up on the screen.
He's fast to ignore it, but when multiple messages start stacking he's curious to see who was trying to get your attention.
Axel's jaw clenches when he sees the name: Ian Matthews.
Ian Matthews: will you pls just hear me out?
Ian Matthews: i really, really like you
Ian Matthews: pls give me another chance,
His brows furrow, and something inside him twists uncomfortably. Why was Ian still texting you? And more importantly, were you answering him?
Axel hears you come back inside, oblivious to his change in demeanor.
"Okay, I'm ready," you say picking your stuff up.
His fists clenched as he quickly looked away, trying to act like he didn’t see anything. But the words were already burned into his mind.
Was that why you’d been in such a good mood lately? Had you forgiven Ian? Were you actually considering giving that idiot another shot?
Was everything happening between you two all in his head?
You walked to your cars in silence, thoughts and questions racing through Axel's mind while you pondered about Moon's party.
You had to dress cute, since things are finally heading in the right direction with Axel, you looked forward to what Saturday night could bring.
--------------------------------------------------------
"He's acting weird," you explain lowly to Sam and Tory as the three of you sat in the library during your free period.
"Like stalker weird?" Tory grimaces making you shake your head.
"No, like he's been really short with me and won't even look at me," you frown, strings beginning to pull at your heart.
"Something had to have happen," Sam spoke quietly. "Did you reject him on accident or insult him? You guys do play around a lot."
You think back to the last few days filled with the laughter and heart to heart conversations you hadn't had with him yet.
"We joke around, but I haven't said anything below the belt," you exhaled tapping your pen along your workbook.
"Well tomorrow is the party, maybe you can talk to him then," Tory suggests.
"I guess," you mumble unsurely. You didn't want to wait until the party, this whole day he's been ignoring you and you hated it.
The girls give you a sympathetic look before going back to work on their schoolwork. Just as you glanced up to the double doors, you see the familiar auburn haired boy saunter into the building.
Your heart sped up as you watched him walk into the psychology row of books, but began to ache as you remember how he looked away when you smiled at him this morning.
You had been looking forward to hanging out with Axel all week, especially since things between you two had finally started feeling easy again.
But instead, he was being cold. Distant. Like you had done something wrong. And you weren’t going to just let that slide.
Standing up from the table, you let Sam and Tory know you'll be right back, and head towards section Axel was in.
Quietly walking between the cases of books, you find the tall boy flipping through what you assume is the novel he's looking for.
"I didn't know you took psych," you spoke up, making Axel jump slightly. He gives you a sideways glance with a silent nod.
You furrowed your eyebrows at his silence, crossing your arms. "Okay… so we’re just not talking now?"
Axel sighed, closing the book and placing it back on the shelf. "Didn't say that."
"You kind of are saying that," you countered, stepping closer. "You've been weird all day. If I did something, just tell me."
Axel contemplated back and forth with what he wanted to say, his gaze still not meeting yours. "It’s nothing."
Your stomach twisted at the dismissal. He was never the most open person, but after the past few weeks, you thought you had broken down some of those walls. And now, here he was, shutting you out again.
"Fine, forget it," you scoffed turning to walk away, but before you can take another step, Axe's hand shot out, gently grabbing ahold of your wrist.
"I saw Ian's texts on your phone," he admits. You face him once again, glancing down where his fingers rested around your hand. "Last night after practice, I didn't mean to, but he was blowing up your phone."
"Yeah," you recall Ian's millions of texts before you finally blocked him.
Your words didn't help, while you waited for Axel to get to the anecdote, he thinks you don't see a problem with your ex propositioning a second chance.
Axel groaned, rubbing a hand over his face. "Look, I just, if you’re giving that guy another chance, then fine, whatever. It’s your life. I just thought—"
He cuts himself off releasing your hand making you frown.
"Thought what?" You inquire. Taking a step closer to him, Axel avoids your gaze. "Thought you and I have something?"
His natural blush had risen to his cheeks, a feature of his that you adored.
"We do," you confirm softly. Axel finally looked at you, his brows furrowed, as if trying to figure out if you were messing with him.
"You mean you—" he hesitates making you laugh.
"Blocked Ian the minute I got home," you finish for him. "Dude never stood a chance."
Axel blinked, clearly processing your words. "Oh."
"I don't think I've ever seen you jealous before," you tease him. "It's kinda hot."
Axel scoffed with slight eye roll. "I was not jealous."
"You were so jealous," you smirk up at him. "You like me."
He crosses his arms over his chest unable to hide his sly grin. "Shut up."
"You so do."
"Do not."
"Do too."
You stood toe to toe with him as he shook his head in defeat.
"So what if I do?" He taunts back at you. Biting back a smile, you gaze up into his sea foam blue eyes.
"Prove it," you dare him.
Axel leans down capturing your lips with his own, placing a soft hand on the side of your face.
Your breath caught in your throat, but you melted into the kiss almost instantly, your hands gripping the front of his hoodie to steady yourself.
Your lips are eager like his to finally touch, your chasing his mouth when he begins to pull away.
"That proof enough for you?" He murmurs, his thumb gently brushing against your cheek.
"I don't know..." you faked an innocent look.
Axel raised an eyebrow slipping his other free hand around your waist. "No?"
You grinned, tugging him down by his hoodie again. "Might need you to prove it a few more times."
He chuckled, shaking his head before leaning in once more. "I can manage that."

PART 3
(A/n: I'm sooo obsessed with Axel in the new trailer, like my mans is so distraught, cue the meme "STAY AWAY FROM HER. GET A JOB." @ Terry Silver and Wolf. Anyway, loved the trailer, it was a piece of art. Part 3 will soon be in the works.)

Which one of the Flash’s Rogues (and Eobard) is the best at eating someone out? Can you rank them?
Once again, only mentioning rogues who are/have been official members of ‘The Rogues’, + Eobard, and only characters I know well enough to have opinions on. Haven’t included Captain Boomerang, but you can find my NSFW headcanons for him here ━ [Link]
Tumblr media
Mirror Master (E.M) dead last
Evan doesn’t eat pussy and he’s a right dick about it.
Heat Wave (M.R) 7th
Doesn’t really eat pussy (cause he much prefers dick), but he will for the right person. Prefers to lie back, hold tight to the warm flesh of your thighs, and let you ride his face, taking whatever you need from him.
Mirror Master (S.S) 6th
The true neutral of the bunch. He’s a bit on the selfish side, more concerned with his own pleasure when it comes to sex, so when it comes time for your turn it’s very A -> B, but he’s not without passion nor technique.
The Trickster (A.W) 5th
It’s not for lack of trying. Axel loves to go down on you and will do it for hours. He starts out enthusiastic, but he gets so lost in it, and therein lies the problem. He gets so dreamy and sloppy, that he barely notices how the puddle of his saliva decreases your sensitivity. Hardly pays any heed to how you’re bucking your hips and cooing his name; trying to get his tongue half an inch higher. Sometimes with Axel, you just have to thread your fingers in his hair and take the reins.
[Read more about Axel's oral fixation here!]
Captain Cold (L.S) 4th
Also not much of a pussy eater, mainly because the bulk of his sexual experience comes from one-night stands, and going down on people isn't a classic part of his routine, but, by god, when he finds a full time partner who likes their pussy ate, he dedicates himself to it.
This man took apart and rebuilt his first stolen freeze ray 100 times to learn how it worked inside and out.
He will memorise every inch of your pussy, every jerk of your body, and he will practice every flick of his tongue that gets a reaction out of you over and over until he knows exactly how to treat you right.
Golden Glider (L.S) 3rd
Lisa knows her way around a pussy, and she would be ranked higher, were she not a pillow princess.
When she puts in the effort, she goes all out. It can take hours, she loves to keep you on edge, gently exploring your body with her fingers as she teases you with her tongue, lapping and kneading and sucking at your clit until can't hold back the force of your pleasure any longer.
The Trickster (G.G) 2nd
If speedsters didn’t exist he would totally claim the #1 spot. James is a performer at heart and he lives to do 2 things; to please, and to leave you wanting more.
He’ll do that by learning exactly what makes your toes curl and your mouth run with ‘please, please oh fuck, please.’ His only downfall is that he also loves to brag, and so he’ll often goad about how he’s got you curled around his finger while his face is still slick with your juices.
Which is only a negative if you're not into being teased and/or degraded in bed.
Professor Zoom (E.T) 1st
Don’t get me wrong here, I don’t think Eobard makes a habit out of eating pussy often, but when he does ohhh, OH, OHHHH~ boy, does he make a meal out of it. Eobard doesn’t half-ass anything, and any skills he may be lacking in are made up for by the fact that he can vibrate.

—The art of eyecontact—
Pairings ; Axel Kovacevic x fem!reader
Summary ; After Sam insisted you accompany her to the club, you finally agreed, hoping it would help you move past everything that happened with Axel. However, a peculiar interaction with Kwon set off a series of unforeseen events that caught you entirely off guard.
Warnings ; Alcohol usage
Pt. 3
୨୧・・・・♡・・・・୨୧
‘Come onnnn, Y/n, don’t be boring,’ Sam whined, her voice dripping with exaggerated desperation as she gave me a firm shake. I was curled up tightly in my blanket, fully immersed in the comfort of my couch and a random movie that I wasn’t even paying much attention to. Her relentless persistence was beginning to chip away at my patience.
‘No,’ I replied flatly, shaking my head with finality. Sam was on a mission to drag me to the club tonight, but the idea of stepping into that crowded, chaotic environment was unappealing—especially because I’d seen Zara’s story earlier. She was there with her team, and of course, Axel was with her. The thought of seeing him so soon made my stomach churn. I wasn’t ready to face him yet. Tomorrow would already be challenging enough, and I needed time to steel myself mentally for what was inevitably going to be an awkward encounter.
‘Please, Y/n!!!’ Sam’s tone shifted to a dramatic plea as she sank to her knees, hands clasped together like she was begging for her life. Her exaggerated antics might have been amusing under different circumstances, but right now, they only added to my irritation. I barely glanced in her direction, still shaking my head in defiance.
Despite her theatrics, I remained unmoved. The mere thought of Axel lingering in the same room as me tonight was enough to make my resolve unshakable. Yet, as persistent as Sam was, I knew she wouldn’t give up without a fight.
Sam groaned dramatically, throwing herself onto the couch beside me, her arm draped across her face like the world had just come crashing down.
‘You’re such a buzzkill,’ she huffed, peeking at me from under her arm. ‘It’s one night, Y/n. Just one. You don’t even have to stay long, I swear. And let’s be real, you’re going to look amazing in that dress you bought on our first day here in Barcelona. It’s way too stunning to be wasted.’
I looked up from my cocoon of blankets, unimpressed. ‘The dress is still in the bag, Sam. And I’m wearing sweatpants.’
‘And that’s fixable,’ she shot back without missing a beat. ‘Ten minutes, max. I’ll help you get ready, you’ll look incredible, we’ll dance a little, and—’
I cut her off with a flat tone, ‘And I’ll have to deal with Axel.’
Her teasing expression faltered for a moment, the dramatic air she carried around her suddenly softening. Her voice was gentler now, almost careful. ‘Y/n, you don’t have to talk to him. You don’t even have to look at him. Zara’s going to be busy with her team, and Axel… well, let’s just say he’d be a fool to let anything ruin your night. He’s not worth it.’
I hugged my blanket tighter, staring at the muted movie playing on the screen. I wanted to go—part of me really did—but the idea of seeing Axel tonight made my stomach churn. It wasn’t that I didn’t know how to handle him; I just wasn’t ready. Not yet. Tomorrow, I’d have no choice but to face him, and that was already weighing on me. How could I mentally prepare for that if I had to deal with him tonight, too?
Sam didn’t say anything for a moment, letting the silence hang in the air between us. Then, she shifted, sitting upright and leaning toward me with a small, knowing smile.
Sam’s knowing smile widened as she leaned closer, her energy impossible to resist. ‘Listen,’ she said, her voice soft and encouraging. ‘We’ll keep it simple. Just get up, put on that stunning dress, and I’ll help you with everything else. Trust me, you’re going to feel amazing. We’ll have fun, and you’ll completely forget about… well, you-know-who.’
I hesitated, my eyes drifting to the chair where the shopping bag from earlier this week sat. Inside was the dress I’d bought on our first day here in Barcelona. It was from a cozy little boutique we’d stumbled across while wandering the streets—full of warm lighting, vintage mirrors, and racks of carefully curated pieces. The moment I’d seen the dress, I knew it was something special. It wasn’t flashy, but the soft white fabric and simple elegance had caught my attention. Sam had encouraged me to try it on, and though I’d hesitated, I couldn’t stop smiling once I saw myself in it.
‘I don’t know…’ I started, fiddling with the edge of my blanket.
‘Y/n,’ Sam said firmly, her tone kind but insistent. ‘You loved that dress. Don’t let it sit there when you could be out feeling as amazing as you look in it.’
Her words were enough to push me into motion. I sighed, tossing off the blanket and rising from the couch. ‘Okay, fine. But if this night turns into a disaster, I’m blaming you.’
Sam grinned triumphantly, clapping her hands together. ‘Fair enough! Now, let’s get to work.’
While she rummaged through her bag, pulling out makeup brushes and curling irons like a magician revealing her tricks, I grabbed the dress and headed to the bathroom. The silky white fabric felt cool against my skin as I slipped it on, the fit just as perfect as I remembered. When I stepped out, Sam froze mid-motion, her mouth falling open in mock astonishment.
‘Y/n,’ she said, drawing out my name dramatically, ‘you look like you just stepped out of a movie. That dress was made for you.’
I rolled my eyes with a small smile but couldn’t deny the hint of confidence her words gave me. ‘Alright, what’s next?’
‘Sit down,’ she instructed, waving me toward the chair in front of the vanity. ‘Hair and makeup, obviously. You’re in good hands.’
As Sam worked, her chatter filled the room, light and easy. She styled my hair into soft waves, adding just enough volume to make it feel glamorous but not overdone. For makeup, she went for a natural glow with a touch of shimmer on my eyelids and a classic swipe of mascara.
‘You know,’ she said as she blended the final touch of blush, ‘tonight’s not about anyone else. It’s about you having a good time. So, don’t overthink it. Just enjoy yourself—you deserve it.’
I met her eyes in the mirror, her sincerity catching me off guard. ‘Thanks, Sam,’ I said quietly.
‘Anytime,’ she replied with a grin, stepping back to admire her work. ‘Now, look at you! Ready to turn heads.’
I stood up, glancing at my reflection. The confidence I’d been missing started to creep back as I smoothed the fabric of the dress. ‘Alright,’ I said, grabbing my clutch with a newfound determination. ‘Let’s do this.’
Sam beamed, linking her arm with mine. ‘That’s the spirit. Now, let’s show Barcelona what you’re made of.’
We stepped out the door together, and for the first time that night, I felt like maybe it wouldn’t be so bad after all.
Sitting by the bar, sipping on an espresso martini, I found myself engaged in polite small talk with a few familiar faces from the opposing team. The atmosphere was loud and lively, filled with the thumping bass of the music and the hum of conversations around us. Sam and I had been chatting casually, laughing at something ridiculous she’d said, when she suddenly announced, ‘I need to call Miguel.’
I raised a brow at her. ‘Right now?’
‘Yes, right now,’ she said, grinning and waving her phone. ‘It’s important.’
The music was far too loud for her to have any hope of hearing him, so we decided to step outside. The crisp night air hit me the second we walked out, the stark contrast to the heat of the club sending a shiver down my spine.
Sam wandered a little further down the alley, pressing her phone to her ear and trying to find a quieter spot. I stayed back, leaning against a random wall as I waited for her. That’s when I felt it—the cold. It wasn’t just chilly; it was sharp, the kind of wind that made you regret not bringing a jacket.
Rubbing my hands together in a futile attempt to keep warm, I realized how much the alcohol had gotten to me. The espresso martinis I’d been nursing all night suddenly made my head feel heavy, and my thoughts a little sluggish. Drunk and cold was not the ideal combination, and I couldn’t help but shiver as I shifted my weight from one foot to the other, trying to stay warm.
The street around me was quiet, apart from the muffled music spilling out from the club doors behind me. I glanced over at Sam, who was pacing slightly as she talked animatedly into her phone. It was strange being out here, away from the chaos inside, but a part of me welcomed the break, even if it came with the chill.
I sighed, rubbing my arms as the cold wind sliced through me, making me shiver uncontrollably. The night felt even colder now that the alcohol in my system was wearing off, leaving me feeling a little disoriented. A yawn escaped my lips as I glanced toward Sam, who was still pacing further down the alley, her phone pressed to her ear.
The sudden sound of the club door opening made me turn my head, and there he was. Kwon.
He stepped outside, letting the door swing shut behind him, his sharp eyes scanning the area before landing squarely on me. He was wearing a black jacket with a bold Cobra Kai logo stitched on the chest, the emblem catching the dim light. His presence was unmistakable, commanding as always, though his expression was hard to read—part surprise, part amusement.
‘What are you doing out here?’ he asked, his tone blunt as he walked closer, his hands tucked into his jacket pockets.
I straightened up instinctively, the cold biting at my skin even harder under his gaze. ‘Just waiting for Sam,’ I said, motioning toward her as casually as I could. ‘She’s making a call.’
Kwon stopped a few feet away from me, tilting his head slightly as he looked me up and down. ‘You look like you’re about to freeze to death,’ he said flatly, a hint of mockery in his voice.
I laughed nervously, rubbing my arms to try and warm up. ‘Yeah, it’s colder than I expected.’
‘Clearly,’ he said, arching a brow. ‘Did you even think about bringing a jacket, or are you just bad at planning ahead?’
I frowned, his tone making my stomach twist uncomfortably. ‘I didn’t think I’d be standing out here for so long,’ I muttered, looking away.
‘Right,’ he said with a smirk, shrugging off his jacket and holding it out toward me. ‘Here. Take it before you turn into an icicle.’
I hesitated, glancing between him and the jacket. ‘I’m fine. You don’t have to—’
‘Don’t make this more complicated than it is,’ he cut me off, his voice sharp. ‘Just take it. It’s not like I’m doing this for you—I just don’t want to hear about how someone froze to death outside the club.’
His words stung a little, but the cold won out. Reluctantly, I took the jacket, slipping it on. It was warm, the fabric carrying a faint scent of him—clean and woodsy, though I tried not to think about it too much.
‘Thanks,’ I said quietly, avoiding his gaze.
He leaned back against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest. ‘You’re welcome,’ he said, though his tone didn’t carry much warmth. After a pause, he added, ‘Next time, maybe think ahead. You don’t seem like the type who handles cold well.’
I bit back a retort, pulling the jacket tighter around me. Kwon always had a way of getting under my skin, but at least now, I wasn’t shivering.
‘I’ll be leaving,’ Kwon announced, his voice cutting through the stillness of the night as he saw Sam making her way back toward us.
I glanced at him, still not entirely used to his bluntness, but before I could respond, he patted my shoulder arrogantly, the motion deliberate and a little too forceful. His touch lingered for a second longer than necessary, and I could feel the slight warmth of his hand through the fabric of his jacket.
Without waiting for a reply, he turned on his heel and started heading back toward the club. He didn’t look back, his strides purposeful and confident, as if he hadn’t just done me a small favor moments ago.
I opened my mouth, about to thank him for the jacket, but the words died on my lips as he disappeared into the club without a second glance.
I stood there for a moment, the jacket still draped over my shoulders, feeling the cold night air around me once more. I wasn’t sure why his arrogance stung, but it did. Sam was just reaching my side as I took a deep breath, trying to shake off the awkwardness.
Sam raised an eyebrow as she approached me, noticing the slight shift in my mood. ‘What’s up? You look like you’ve been hit with a wave of confusion.’
I shook my head, trying to brush it off. ‘Nothing, just… Kwon being Kwon.’
Sam tilted her head, a smirk forming on her lips. ‘Oh? Kwon being Kwon? What does that even mean?’
I sighed, glancing down at the jacket draped over my shoulders. The familiar Cobra Kai logo on the sleeve caught her attention instantly, and her eyes widened in surprise.
‘Wait a second,’ she said, her voice rising with shock. ‘You’re wearing his jacket?’
I felt a flush creep up my neck, suddenly self-conscious. ‘Yeah, he gave it to me,’ I muttered, feeling oddly defensive. ‘I was freezing, and he—’
‘Gave you his jacket?’ Sam interrupted, her eyes narrowing with suspicion. ‘Hmm, that’s… not something I would expect from him. What did he want from you?’
I blinked at her, momentarily thrown off by her question. ‘What do you mean, what did he want?’
She gave me a pointed look, clearly not buying my nonchalant tone. ‘Come on, Y/n. Kwon doesn’t just hand over his jacket for no reason. There has to be more to it than that.’
I hesitated, unsure how to explain it. He hadn’t really wanted anything, at least not directly. He had been his usual distant self, sarcastic and borderline mean, but there was something in the way he’d offered me his jacket that made me question his intentions. Maybe I was overthinking it.
‘I don’t know,’ I said slowly, feeling a bit uneasy. ‘He just noticed I was cold and… I guess he didn’t want me freezing out here.’
Sam raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. ‘Really? That’s it?’
I sighed, crossing my arms and glancing back toward the club. ‘Yeah, I guess so. It’s not a big deal.’
Sam didn’t seem entirely convinced, but she let it go for now. She looked me over one more time, her eyes lingering on the jacket as if trying to piece together some unspoken motive. ‘Well, I’m not complaining. It’s a good look for you, anyway,’ she said with a wink, clearly trying to lighten the mood.
I rolled my eyes but couldn’t help the small smile that tugged at my lips. ‘Thanks, I guess.’
I could tell Sam wasn’t a big fan of Kwon, and I had a feeling her compliment about me looking good in his jacket wasn’t exactly genuine. She was just trying to distract me, to get my mind off Axel. It was clear in the way she’d casually brushed it off, as if the whole thing with Kwon was no big deal. But the truth was, it wasn’t that simple.
I tugged the jacket a little tighter around myself, feeling its warmth but also the odd weight of it, like it carried more meaning than just the fabric against my skin. The whole encounter with Kwon had been strange. There was something in the way he’d acted—his arrogance, his nonchalance—that made it feel less like a simple act of kindness and more like a gesture wrapped in layers of unspoken tension.
As we walked back toward the club, Sam chattered on about the night, about how great it was that I’d decided to come out and how much fun we were going to have. But I couldn’t focus on her words. My mind kept drifting back to Kwon’s indifferent attitude and the way he’d just left without a second thought, and then there was the nagging thought about Axel.
Axel.
The thought of seeing him again tomorrow had already been enough to set my nerves on edge, but now, with Kwon’s jacket wrapped around me, it felt like there was something pulling me in two different directions. I didn’t know what to make of any of it.
Sam nudged me playfully, clearly unaware of the storm brewing in my head. ‘Come on, don’t let that jackass mess with your vibe. We’re here to have fun, remember?’
I smiled faintly, trying to force myself back into the present, but the weight of the jacket, of Kwon’s words, and the unspoken tension between me and Axel stayed with me. It wasn’t that easy to forget.
We stepped back into the club, and the contrast hit me immediately—a hot, suffocating wave of air, thick with the mix of bodies, music, and lights. It was a sharp reminder of how loud and alive everything was in here compared to the quiet, chilly night outside.
Feeling the heat creep up on me, I slipped off Kwon’s jacket, draping it over my arm. The faint scent of it still lingered, grounding me in a way I didn’t fully understand. I opened Instagram on my phone, typing out a quick message to him: Hey, is there a chance we could meet later? I have your jacket. I hit send but noticed it stayed unread. Typical Kwon.
Before I could dwell on it too long, something else grabbed my attention. Sam was weaving her way back toward me through the crowd, grinning like she’d just won the lottery. In each hand, she held a shot glass, the liquid inside glinting under the strobe lights.
‘Look what I got!’ she said, her voice cutting through the music as she handed me one. ‘Cheers to us, Y/n!’
I hesitated, eyeing the glass suspiciously. I knew my limits, especially after everything I’d already had tonight. ‘I don’t know, Sam,’ I started, shaking my head. ‘I think I’ve had enough.’
But Sam, ever persistent, rolled her eyes before knocking back her own shot effortlessly. ‘Come on,’ she coaxed, her tone playful and teasing. ‘It doesn’t even taste like alcohol. I swear.’
She stuck her tongue out dramatically, proving her point, and I couldn’t help but laugh a little. She was clearly in her element, and her energy was infectious. Relenting, I finally raised the glass. ‘Fine. Just this one.’
‘That’s my girl!’ Sam cheered, pulling me into a quick side hug as I downed the shot. True to her word, it didn’t have the harsh kick I’d been expecting, just a subtle sweetness that lingered.
I smiled faintly, raising the now-empty glass in a half-hearted cheer. ‘To us, I guess.’
Sam clinked her empty glass against mine, her enthusiasm practically radiating off her. I, on the other hand, found my focus slipping as I clutched Kwon’s jacket in one hand and tried to lose myself in the moment. But my thoughts kept circling back to Axel.
What was he doing right now? Was he here somewhere in this chaotic crowd, or was he still out with Zara and the others? No matter how much I tried to shake it off, the thought of him loomed in the back of my mind, pulling me in a direction I wasn’t sure I wanted to go.
‘Soooo… another shot?’ Sam asked, her tone mischievous as she swayed a little, clearly enjoying herself.
I shrugged, feeling the buzz of the night taking over. ‘Sure!’ I replied, grinning and forgetting entirely that I was supposed to be keeping track of my limits.
Sam disappeared for a moment and came back with a different color this time—a vivid blue shot that glowed under the club lights. I took it in my hand, ready to drink, when Zara suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
She was as drunk as we were, her excitement bubbling over as she hugged me tightly. Her words were slurred, tumbling out in a chaotic, happy mess.
‘Whoa… re-repeat what you just said!’ I laughed, holding the shot in one hand as I tried to make sense of her rambling.
I was about to drink it when a firm hand stopped me. Turning, I saw Kwon standing there, his expression sharp and unamused.
‘I think you’ve had enough,’ he said curtly, snatching the shot glass from my hand before I could even protest. He placed it on a nearby table with a deliberate motion, clearly unwilling to argue.
From the corner of my eye, I noticed Sam grabbing the abandoned drink without hesitation and knocking it back, oblivious to Kwon’s disapproval.
‘Oh! Kwon!’ I said, suddenly remembering the jacket. I grabbed it and shoved it into his hands with a bright smile. ‘Thank you for warming me up earlier.’
He looked at me with a mixture of exasperation and something unreadable, but I didn’t give him time to respond. Turning to Sam, I grabbed her wrist. ‘Sam, let’s go outside. I don’t feel well,’ I said, pressing a hand to my temple.
The club felt overwhelming—the heat, the pounding music, the blur of lights and voices. My head was spinning, and the sensation was too much.
I managed a weak smile at Zara and Kwon before guiding Sam toward the exit. Once outside, I collapsed against the same wall I had been leaning on earlier. The freezing night air hit my skin like a splash of cold water, helping to clear my mind, if only slightly.
I sat there, eyes closed, focusing on my breathing as Sam lingered nearby. A few minutes later, I heard footsteps, and when I looked up, Kwon and Tory were walking toward me. Kwon carried a bottle of water, his usual sharp demeanor still intact, while Tory’s expression was softer, filled with concern.
Tory knelt beside me, gently grabbing my hand as she offered the water. ‘Drink some water,’ she said firmly.
I barely registered the sound of more people spilling out of the club, their footsteps crunching against the pavement as they approached. My eyes stayed closed, my body too heavy, the cold air lulling me toward sleep against the wall. That is, until a familiar scent drifted past my pink-tinted nose—a warm, intoxicating mix of something unmistakably Axel.
My eyes snapped open, and there he was, kneeling beside me. His hand rested gently on my knee, its warmth cutting through the chill in the air. Axel’s expression was calm but serious, his gaze flicking to Tory as he murmured something about getting me, Sam, and Zara home safely.
Tory nodded, giving me one last reassuring smile as she rose to her feet. Kwon followed her without a word, his jacket slung over his shoulder, and they both disappeared back into the club.
I blinked sluggishly, trying to piece together what was happening, but before I could form a coherent thought, Axel scooped me up effortlessly. My head lolled against his shoulder as the steady rhythm of his footsteps replaced the chaotic noise of the night.
The crisp night air carried his scent, a mix of cologne and something inherently him. I found myself leaning into it, breathing it in as my eyelids fluttered. My thoughts grew hazy, and the world around me blurred into a comforting haze.
The next thing I knew, we were in the quiet sanctuary of my hotel room. Axel carefully laid me down on the bed, his movements gentle and precise, as if afraid I might shatter. The softness of the mattress beneath me felt like a cloud, pulling me further into the depths of sleep.
Zara appeared out of nowhere, rushing to my side and enveloping me in a drunken hug. Her voice was a jumble of words I couldn’t quite make out, but the warmth of her embrace was familiar and comforting.
Axel gently but firmly pulled her away, his touch protective yet restrained. As Zara stumbled back, he leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to my forehead.
I blinked up at him, catching the subtle shift in his eyes. They weren’t cold or indifferent like they usually were—they held something different, something warmer, something… admiring. He didn’t smile, but the look was enough to stir something in my chest.
I muttered something under my breath, barely audible even to myself. Maybe it was, ‘Sleep tight.’ Maybe it was nothing at all.
As I rolled over, hugging the small teddy bear I always kept on my bed, the faint sound of Axel’s footsteps retreating faded into the quiet of the room. My last thought before sleep took over completely was the lingering feel of his presence and the way his eyes had looked at me—like I wasn’t just another fleeting part of the night.
