I was tagged by the lovely @lavellenchanted quite some time ago, and then re-tagged by the enchanting @theawkwardterrier, which reminded me I hadn't done it the first time. 😂

The first day is an emotional whirlwind: they laugh, they cry, they argue, and they dance. 

“I don’t suppose anyone knows what happened to my razor,” said Steve, one chilly autumn afternoon.

As she would maintain for many years afterwards, Peggy hadn’t wanted to go to the pub in the first place.

Steve’s apartment in Brooklyn was easily as old as Steve himself, and he suspected some of the plumbing was original to the period.

A few weeks after Steve’s plane goes down, Peggy visits a tattoo parlour in London.

Mr. Jarvis stood on the wet tarmac, enjoying the peaceful chirp of crickets. 

Steve knew, objectively, that the time heist could have side effects. 

I guess my standard opening hook is just "POV character [Ellie, Peggy, Steve, Jarvis] has a thought about a thing [an object, a setting, a mood] that (usually) turns out to be central to the story for reasons we will discover". I like to dive in, like we're joining a conversation, a broadcast already in progress. This makes sense, because this is how many of the books I love and return to start, i.e. "Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again." or "They're all dead now." Who? Where? IDK, I'm already on board, I'll figure it out. Let's fucking go.

i've been stalking the batman rogues fandom since about 2019 i believe and tbh the horniest enjoyers of any iteration of the riddler are the fuckinG PAUL DANO RIDDLER STANS. i could never repeat what some of you fuckers have said to me in private .... what some of you have told me you've done ... One hard thing about this one specific website is that a lot of users claim that they want to be allies to people who have autism but the moment the traits that they have aren't cute they get really, really annoyed. The moment someone isn't obsessed with cartoons, stims in the 'right" way and isn't some sort of marketable person who's easily to relate to, the person in question is automatically someone ten times worse, because autism obviously only comes in one form.

Speaking to several people on here, I've noticed other autistic people get angry when someone doesn't get social cues, understand things like certain memes, sarcasm or jokes or can't "read the room" and instantly they're automatically stupid and their intelligence is pulled into question. I've asked people here, somewhere in the dozens to explain to me a joke or a concept, or ask them to elaborate on something and it then becomes a huge hassle on their part because I'm too stupid to understand a joke.

Tumblr feels like one of the only websites where autistic people can kind of feel some sort of semblance of belonging and feel safe, at least that's what I've heard from a good handful of people until people who want to be unnecessarily rude, or something close to a high school bully decide to jump in and decide it's funnier to not explain one of the many sitewide jokes that involve gaslighting like Goncharov, or that when a new meme comes out, someone doesn't immediately get it.

Maybe this is just me but it feels like sometimes when people don't act like that little white tbh creature and have traits, symptoms, interests or behaviors that aren't cute and force them to be awkward or uncomfortable, that person is suddenly bad, evil and stupid.

Zolf: Why? Wasn't you the one going "there is only one thing in life worse than being talked about" well we are talking about you.

Trying so hard to not start fic writing before I've even finished the game but I want so so bad to write a time travel fic where post totk wild gets sent back to pre calamity hyrule in the middle of a lynel or gleeok fight, like he's just covered in monster blood and guts with a mishmash of armour pieces (at least one barbarian piece) hair long and tangled, scars all over, wielding a ridiculously huge savage lynel spear tipped with dragon claw and dripping sizzling blood. Smoke coming off him. Arm looking half rotted.

In the middle of the throne room.

Several particularly delicate lords and ladies faint. All the guards are pointing spears. He nearly takes someone's eye out before realising where he is.

Once he realises when he is it becomes a race of time to make the right waves before zelda comes to pick him up.

Patterns: Endings are tough, because I never want to say goodbye to the characters and their world, so I often choose to peace out on either a couplet of dialogue, or a declarative statement that calls back to something previously mentioned. Bonus points if I can somehow reference the fic's title. LOL.
