The means of JGS's death and how it ties to how he wrecked JGY's life

I want to preface this by saying that I don't condone the way JGY killed JGS (and much less using the sex workers as tools)

But I understand.

Why?

Because the way JGS ruined JGY's life is intrisically tied to sexuality and relationships, the way he destroyed everything JGY ever hoped for.

Firstly, Meng Shi. MS was left at the brothel, like a discarded toy, and so JGY grew up close to his mother's exploitation. And we know for a fact JGY loved MS very much, but how could his relationship with her not be shaped by such a thing? When he grew up watching little else? The brothel scene has her thrown out into the street naked, and if we assume things like that happened often (which they probably did) JGY's relationship with MS would be awfully skewed by that despite the love

QS. QS is yet another of JGY's problem decisions, quote unquote, that was caused by JGS. Because JGS is a pervert that won't be stopped by something as a no. What was meant to be a sweet tender romance, turned to another source of horror for JGY. He unknowingly slept with and impregnated his sister, and never touched her again. Another relationship destroyed by JGS, and poor QS, also a victim— trapped in a sexless marriage, left with whatever excuse JGY made up for a reason.

And MXY, who was brought into Jinlintai purely to scare and keep JGY on his toes, effectively diminishing the chances of a healthy sibling bond. Who went from a sweet boy who adored his older brother (How old was he when he was brought in? 14?) To someone who would harass his sibling to the point JGY took action against him (and we know JGY is tolerant, for his own sake). That has to be JGS's influence on him, and even if it wasn't, he's still to blame.

And NMJ, and their biggest fall out (the staircase scene), is also rooted in JGS, because if JGS didn't insist on protecting XY, NMJ wouldn't have taken it up with JGY, then they wouldn't have fought and the staircase scene wouldn't have happened. That was so deeply and personally insulting/traumatizing to JGY, and it's where he decided to kill NMJ. Don't get me wrong, I know damn well their relationship was already rocky, but before that, was not beyond salvation.

I don't condone JGY's actions— while I don't pity JGS, those sex workers deserved better.

But it's, in the end, a culmination of the ways JGS ruined his life, because it's always been about sex and relationships and JGS messes everything up. It was majorly shitty (and, in my opinion, rock bottom) of JGY to use sex workers to take revenge, especially the necrophilia part (which I'm inclined to believe was a moment of madness), but in the end, it's nothing less than equal retribution. Poetic "justice" if you will.

It ties into the theme of familial relationships twisted by violations/forced incest that surrounds JGY's character

I ADORE Mom!Danny and de-aged/baby!Ellie so much!!

Just a little core resting in Danny’s chest, protected against his own, fed with love and protective affection. Ellie, a little core, and THE reason why Danny hasn’t gone into a full blown world dominating rampage.

It’s not good for baby to be fed bad vibes.

So he’s trying to just keep it zeroed in on Vlad himself, a singular point of rage. So while he isn’t as much of the Danny as the day before, he isn’t Dan either, and that’s the best he can be for Ellie.

But also, bonus points if Dan is also just this little baby, who became smaller after his time kept away/and or the anger is what made him so big and older, and now that it’s gone he’s reverted to a smaller form. Why the rage is gone? Maybe his reason for being angry just tired him out, or maybe he saw the way Danny was trying so hard, or wanted to let Danny have his own revenge within this current world?

Maybe he did see Danny as his mother too, and doesn’t want to hurt Danny because he already did it once before and it didn’t make him any happier.

Perhaps even, one day, he meets one of the vigilantes, and Little Dan just shaking his head, all solemn and understanding, says: It’s not mom’s fault, Vlad made us this way.

There he was, across the room and blissfully unaware. Good. Danny's hand curled around the mini blaster. It had taken him a while to compact all the components but now he was ready. He would finally make Vlad pay for taking away everything from him.

He stalked across the room carefully. He had to make this shot count. If he missed or the older halfa noticed him in any way, he wouldn't be able to get off another. That's why Danny was going no ghost powers. He couldn't risk the old man sensing him.

Danny was so close now. Just a few more steps. His fingers found the trigger. He began to raise his arm.

"You don't have to do this," someone whispered in his ear, catching his arm.

Danny attempted to wrench his arm out of the stranger's grip without drawing attention. "Let go," he hissed.

Instead the grip tightened. "Whatever that man has done to warrant this, I'm sure we can deal with another way."

Danny almost scoffed at that. What did this person know? Absolutely nothing. There was no other way to resolve this. What legal channel would believe him? That the man in front of him was a half ghost that had killed his friends and family in an explosion to trigger his dark side? He was likely to be locked up in a mental institution.

The young halfa could still smell the smoke in the air. If he closed his eyes for too long he would see the flames. The echoes of gloating mixed with cackling still rung in his ears. No, there was no other way.

Danny applied a bit of ghost strength and ripped away from the stranger only for a hand to now fall firmly on his shoulder. "Please, don't do this. Don't throw your life away," the same voice begged.

Danny finally whipped around to confront the one stopping him. He came face to face with blue eyes filled with concern and surrounded by a mop of black hair. "I don't have a life. Now let. Go," he gritted out.

But the stranger didn't. He even went as far as gripping Danny's other shoulder as well. "Believe me. I've been where you are," he said. "There's another path to take."

Anger boiled in Danny. He had taken the other path damnit! He had done everything in his power to go down a different road and life had just forced him right down the original one anyway. This was the only way. A way to prevent the future and make sure Vlad could never harm anyone again.

Danny applied more ghost strength, once away prying himself from the stranger's hands. He turned, resolved in his actions, only to make eye contact with Vlad. No. No no no. He quickly raised the blaster and shot at him but it was too late. The older halfa grinned devilishly as he easily dodged the blast.

Panic immediately spread and the crowd whipped into a frenzy but Danny didn't care. He aimed again but Vlad was quicker. He snaked his way towards the boy and knocked the blaster out of his hand.

"Ah Daniel," he said. "And here I was beginning to think I'd have to hunt you down myself."

Danny curled up a fist and swung at Vlad only for the man to easily catch it. "Come now Daniel. That isn't really the best you can do now is it?"

"No," Danny growled. "This is!"

With his cover now blown and nothing left to lose, Danny shot an Ecto blast from his free fist right into Vlad's chest. The man staggered back and sneered.

"You shouldn't have done that," he hissed.

"And you shouldn't have killed my family!" Danny yelled as he let his transformation wash over him. He would not let this man get away again. Even if it meant sealing his fate with the Bats. Even if it meant death.

A “buddy” vigilante story where Jason and Tim go back in time during Dick’s time as Robin, when the Worlds Greatest Detective was still young.

Basically, they significantly change the past and in the most annoying way possible. Tim knows that no one will know it was them and has been pretty morally flexible about the whole thing. They go down the list of rogues, down the list of siblings, bickering about it the whole time.

Jason kills the Joker, Tim rescues Cass, and both of them try and get one over on the other about their past selves.

Because Tim tries to talk baby Jason into stealing the Bat’s tires early while Jason’s out murdering Zucco, and Jason’s out snatching Tiny Tim and his camera from rooftops trying to leave him gift wrapped in the batcave while Tim’s out stealing info from Luthor.

It’s one giant clusterfuck but they’re successful because Tim and Jason combined are absolutely lethal and no one ever saw them coming.

Meanwhile, they keep running into Robin and absolutely losing it over seeing their oldest brother so young and angry.

Dick tries to track them down after they killed Zucco, he wants to ask why. What the hell they could possibly be doing or why that would matter to them.

Tim pushes Jason off a roof.Jason lights Tim’s ancient computer on fire. Tim tears a book in half. Jason takes pictures of Tiny Tim and sets them as his wallpaper. It’s a comedy, your honor.

And probably the worst headache Batman will ever get.
