You know how in canon he truly believes he's on the right side and makes everything to ensure that Optimus wins the war? You know how he's willing to make every tough decision so Optimus doesn't have to risk his reputation? You know how he literally makes Autobots look like shiny brave and clean heroes who did nothing wrong ever?

I want all that but the other way around. I want him to do that for Megatron and for the Decepticons. The implications would be so fucking dramatic I could write a whole essay.

Low rank Cons would hate him so fucking bad.

Starscream would try to murder him at least once a day.

Megatron would absolutely treasure him. Autobots would have it r o u g h

But wait! There is one more robotic cousin. I haven't tried a new helmetless look in ages, but lightning struck me one morning! So here's another Mega missing in my books, the "slots-bot" Ability!

Regarding his hairstyle, I drew from both his creator Emilia and Geo-- the latter because I feel like each new Mega carries some tiny trait from their predecessor if you look closely. And o'course I had to make sure he didn't look too similar to the others while still saying "protag".

All that said, I did the fastest little crash course on his game to garner some idea on his character-- there's not much so say honestly, but that was still an intriguing story!

What’s your go to Luo Binghe character design? Curly hair, brown eyes, tall, horns, straight hair, red eyes, claws? I’m curious, just *how* demon is he?

generally i picture him like the english/russian edition designs (aka, the fanon binghe with curly/fluffy hair) but the other details i pick and choose depending on setting or AU, tbh.

i like the idea that his eyes are a warm brown that glints red in different lighting or when he's worked up or using his demon powers, and i'm a BIG fan of giving him large, curling ram's horns along with pointed ears and little fangs and claws - but they aren't details that i default to imagining him with.

mostly because i think that if binghe did possess more physically demonic features, it would be a whole Thing he'd have to work through (i.e. "my REAL appearance is so clearly demonic, maybe it would remind shizun why he threw me away, etc etc"). after all, his own plan to be re-accepted by sqq was to blend in to huan hua and "prove" that he was a righteous cultivator that could live among humans - so naturally more visible demonic features would be something that he'd also want to repress, perhaps even in extreme ways if illusions couldn't cover it.

that isn't something that i always want to make space for in my own AUs, though, so i tend to only indulge in more demonic looking bingys when either a) i know i'll already be in the same wheelhouse as binghe's insecurities around his heritage or b) it's an AU that's so divorced from canon that the insecurities may not exist at all.

i will admit to having a history of commissioning art that specifically calls out more demonic features, though - especially some big curving ram's horns 😌
