Just imagine a JL and YJ team up where no one knows the connection between nightwing and Batman

And Batman gets seriously hurt, everyone is shocked and scared but no one expects nightwing to go

Either 1. Catatonic or 2. Into a cold and precise fury standing protectively over batman

Yeah!! Agh, the outside pov of Nightwing sprinting over to Batman and somehow knowing how to unlock the complex series of clasps and switches on his armor in perfect sequence. He doesn’t get shocked, he pries open that chest plate like he’s been doing it his entire life. He opens Batman’s belt and pulls out bandages without needing to guess which compartment had first aid supplies. He grabs Batman’s wrist comm and knows how to use the gauntlet buttons to call for an evac. He orders Superman around like he’s taken on Batman’s authority in the interim (he has) and Superman listens without question. He is Batman’s second in command, and no one in YJ can fully process that revelation before they’re evac’d back to Gotham.

Tim falling in the time stream and YJ fishing him out happens post brucequest so Bart and Kon are alive which helps Cassie keep herself from being gaslit by well meaning members of the justice league who completely forget/ignore/disregard that Batman literally just came back from the "dead" and so Cassie can have Kon and Bart there to keep her from forming or joining another cult

Bruce's reaction depends on the writer and how they feel about Bruce though his family seeing him go into a depressive spiral at the loss of a kid in his custody and getting some partial insight into just how bad he may have been immediately post Jason and the stuff that Tim had to deal with would be interesting, and the family dynamics of dealing with Damian who no longer has the verbal punching bag and focus of jealousy that is Tim available

Ooh. Now I want to kill Tim off in a fic and watch the batfam implode as they deal with their grief and come to several realizations. I've got too many WIPs for that, though.

Anyways, YJ is out here gripping their sanity and determination to bring Tim home by their blood-stained finger nails. It's hysterical laughing, refusing to cry (because he's not dead), and chaotic adventures that aren't as fun without Tim.

When Tim gets back, all four of them (and the retired members) are in agreeance. Fuck the JL. Fuck the other heroes.

For the batfam, we'll say Bruce can't go out to find Tim for plot. The exact reason can be up to the dealer, but he either doesn't hear YJ's theories, or he can't go look for Tim.

This traps Bruce with the rest of the batfam.

Damian, a kid who still looks up to his dad, is suddenly forced into Tim's Robin's role.

He, at first, isn't too upset that Batman is being harsher. Surely, the man would know what's best. Perhaps he's just realizing that criminals should he punished harder (not personal beliefs, obv. Just speculation of Damian's mindset).

Then Bruce gets worse. And worse.

Suddenly, the twelve year old is frozen as he watches the brutality of which Batman is pummeling someone. He's watching as blood flings off of Bruce's gauntlets onto the alley floors and walls. He's hearing the victim pleading.

Damian's not scared. Of course he isn't. That's ridiculous....

He just kind of wishes his Batman, Dick, was there instead.

Damian also has lost his ability to insult Tim. While it's not uncommon to go months without seeing Drake, his family's reactions to Damian's usual comments have changed. Suddenly, everyone is yelling at him or getting angry for what he's saying. He knows Tim died (and gods does it burn that he'll never get to know the older man), but why is the family getting mad at him? They've always let the comments go in the past.

It's an unhealthy coping mechanism and mindset that Damian developed of continuously comparing himself to Drake and dragging the older man down. It's a bit late, but Damian realizes that he doesn't hate Tim. He might have even admired him. He was blinded by his need to feel wanted in a family that chose everyone but him (at least, that's how he thought it was).

It's cruel he only comprehended this after Tim's death.

Jason is still on the outskirts of the family. Yet, from his distance, he has a front row seat to watching Bruce rapidly descend into his grief. Maybe the man denies that's what Bruce was like when Jason died (because Bruce liked Tim more than Jason). Someone points out that any animosity Jason and Bruce have was post his revival (and honestly fuck them for that). They also point out that this Bruce, the spiraling wave of fury, is a much more supported and restrained Batman. Tim, as a thirteen year old, witnessed and pulled this man from his even worse grief.

Jason doesn't know how to process that.

Dick is older and closer. He has to grapple with the fact that he failed another little brother. Another one is dead.

He also has to watch his dad descend into grief all over again. He's closer than he was when Jason died, back when he was brimming with rage at Bruce and despair. He's getting a closer production of Bruce's unhealthy coping skills.

He has to explain to his siblings and himself that last time, when Jason died, Tim weathered this storm. Dick came around, but not nearly enough. He couldn't for his own mental health.

That doesn't assauge his guilt.

Cass :( Imma say she's out there helping YJ. She believes them. It doesn't change how much Tim's death hurts, but she holds onto hope.

Alfred has to watch his son mourn again. Alfred has to mourn his grandson and watch his son destroy himself again. Alfred has to watch the family implode upon itself.

He doesn't have hope that another kind soul like Tim's will be here this time around. He can only offer support as he hopes the family makes it through this time.

When Tim comes back, he's not angry that the JL didn't help or believe YJ. He's not even disappointed.

He's resigned.

He's not upset the Bats didn't do anything either.

Creating YJ wasn't originally about ensuring Tim had support he could count on. He's glad it turned into that, though. He wouldn't give any of them up for the world.

Arrowette --> Trickshot. I like to think that Cissie is the kind of performance archer first and foremost.

Impulse --> So, hear me out: Inertia. I KNOW- But I think the name fits him well and he IS rebelling rn...

-Bart Allen is the big resurrection instead of Barry, Conners resurrection in Legion of 3 Worlds stays intact Bart continues as the flash and gets the title but keeps his impulse and old personality unlike fastest man alive, Wally gives him a made up oath and goes goes to retire to be a dad and raise the twins, Bart is unsure of his New position.. he reconnects with Carol Bucklen..

-Roy Harper continues as Red Arrow Cry of Justice simply does not happen and Lian is still alive, he will even go on to join the Justice League

-The Justice League will be very much led by Dick Grayson the line up will consist of

-Nightwing, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Troia, Red Arrow, Jade, Obsidian, The Atom (Ryan Choi), The Flash (Bart Allen), and a New Green Lantern (Terry Berg) more on him later, Firestorm (Ronnie/Jason), Kendra Saunders(Hawkgirl) and Cyborg(Victor Stone)

-Titans will mostly consist of the YJ characters except Bart the line up will consist of Red Robin, Sentinel (Kon-El) he will now move on from the superboy moniker and become his own hero, Fury(Cassie Sandsmark) will be trained by Lyta Trevor the Fury of the newly reformed Earth Two and the daughter of Wonder Woman and Steve trevor her and Conner will be dating once again, Ravager (Rose Wilson), Red Devil(Eddie Bloomberg), Blue Beetle(Jaime Reyes), Static (Virgil Hawkins), Aquawoman(Lorena Marquez)

-Gar and Raven will join JL Dark along with Zatanna and others

-Batman: Batman will run batman incorporated Duke Thomas will be in this canon and will have met batman during no man's land as opposed to Zero Year, he will be Cass' best friend and will become The Signal, Gothams day protector unlike main continuity he will not be in the Batfamily, he will be his own unique hero, Jason Todd will have his pre crisis origin and hair color.. controversial ik.. but for the sake of preference that will be so, he will be an anti-villain crime boss controlling the drug trade, him and Bruce won't be at odds with each other, he simply does not approve of the path Jay has taken and it saddens him, Jay cares about Bruce too.. but he has chosen this life he will still be with Scarlet, Stephanie Brown will still be Batgirl, Barbara will still act as Oracle, Joker will have the doll maker remove his face and the court of owls will be introduced as Justice League villains instead of batman villains, they will very much be a worldwide illuminati type organization Damian will still act as Robin the bat fam will just be smaller and have Bruce, Dick, Damian, and Steph

-Green Lantern: Hal Jordan will marry Carol and Kyle Rayner will lead the corps, the mythos will be explored more, Terry Berg will be given kyles ring after kyle becomes a white lantern, Terry is Kyle Rayners assistant in Winicks run he will become The fifth earth lantern, kyle and Terry will get more bonding moments.. Kyle and Jade will get back together and marry for real this time, Terry's character will be explored more

-Superman: Kal will lead the Supermen of America a new team, Chris will be living with Clark and Lois again, he will be attending college classes with Thara and will be best friends with Duke Thomas, their dynamic will be like a swapped version of batman and superman.. Chris being the more serious super and Duke being the lighthearted bat, Chris will be able to control shadows and darkness, Duke controls light, him and Thara will be members of the JL Dark, Thara will assume the civillian identity, Claire Connor Lang acting as Karas sister, Kara Zor El/Linda Lang will still be living with lana and be on her last year of high school she will meet and team up with Linda Danvers her predecessor and they will quickly become friends, Conner will still be in Smallville now going to school at Kansas State.. the same college Chris goes too Kon will see him as a brother/Cousin, and they will be a duo in themselves they will all deal with the repercussions of zods war on earth

-The JSA: It will very much feature mostly the children and grandchildren of the jsa.. the remaining founding members will pass on.. except Jay and Carter Jay will act as mayor of NYC quitting the team giving guidance when needed, the JSA Hawkman will continue on with the JSA

Flash: Bart Allen will now be the main flash.. he will not be so sure he can do it again.. he failed.. he died.. and failed.. he will reconnect with his old friends in Manchester now all adults, him and Carol's relationship will spark, now working for Star Labs, Bart will get a job as a reporter at Picture News with Iris and we will see their relationship more Rival will return still possessing Max's body he will be the first big bad and it will give Bart and Max the closure they deserve, him and Bart will speak in the speed force where he will call him son before passing on, we will establish his rogues, the old rogues will still be on, barts old villains will hoin in too including White Lightning, Irey will become Barts Kid Flash

Wonder Woman: Diana will be working for the government and working to rebuild themysciras connection to earth, the amazons tactics have changed no visitors are welcome, Cassie will unleash her Olympian abilities more, she will cross over to earth two and meet Hippolyta Trevor the Daughter of Earth Two Wonder Woman, she will take on the name Fury, while Donna has uncovered a prophecy.. depicting the rise of an old God long defeated known as Typhon the Enemy of the Gods

Green Arrow: Ollie will still be married to Dinah, Robert Queen II will join the arrow family, Roy will gain a bigger role, Olivia Queen will be born

Aquaman: Arthur will retire with Mera, Garth will now be the king of atlantis, but he will not be the Aquaman.. Koryak will be the new Aquaman, a more brutal aquaman, although meaning well, it will feel like a tale of two brothers, Garth and Koryak will constantly butt heads.. Dolphin and Cerdian will be revealed to have not died but survived the destruction of atlantis in infinite crisis having been taken by atlan, Cerdian will have aged to 10 having been in the pocket dimension with atlan so long... the family will be reunited at last.. Cerdian will become Aqualad

Captain Marvel: Billy and Mary go on a quest to get their powers back which they do successfully, Freddy and Kit Freeman reunite the long lost freeman Brothers together at last they go on a journey through hell together

Unburied - Block and flag. Done and done. It’s a nuisance, but not something he’s letting bother him.

ZY - Embarrassingly, he thought it was legit for way too long. Then, once he started to try to find more online information regarding the many hot babes in his area, he realized it was all just a scam. Words could not describe his fury and humiliation.

Dano - They annoy him to a ridiculous degree. Like, he could throw a tantrum and give a rant about how much he hates p bots. They do nothing back backlog sites and are a perfect example of how the powers that be don’t care about cleaning up the system and we should-

YJ - w-why? He doesn’t get it. Why is this a thing? Okay, he gets why people fall for it, but why do it at all? That’s just…he doesn’t want to think about it.

Gotham - He’s rubbing his temples trying to fight the urge to throw his laptop. So annoyed. These are completely useless and serve no purpose but to act as a sticky trap for weirdos and creeps. On second thought, maybe…he could use this.

BTAA - Also thinks it’s legit at first but comes to the truth much quicker than ZY. Once he sees that something’s up, someone is getting a very threatening and very specific email detailing how utterly moronic their little bot scheme is and that it would be in their best interest to cease all operations. A.S.A.P. Sweetheart.

Arkham - So, sometimes he uses criminals in his traps to act as ethically questionable bait for Batman. This is a preferred method of capture for that bait. Easy, quick, and assured to be morons. He’s got a program to filter out bots from his end, so he rarely sees anyone else’s sorry excuse for a phishing scheme.

BTAS - Well, what on Earth? This person has absolutely no information. It’s like they don’t even exist! Oh well. Blocked. I don’t think he even realized it was a bot.

Telltale - He’s seen this scheme before, and it never fails to amuse him. How pathetic that anyone thinks someone will fall for such an obvious trap.

See but here's the thing just like how when yj did the judas contract but changed it til it was almost unrecognisable to it's comic book story the heroes in crisis story also probably wouldn't have been anything like how it plays out in the comics not least of which bc some very important characters to that story like Roy and wally just aren't in the same position that where in the comics so while the idea of a place where heroes can go to seek help might have been taken from the comics I doubt much else would be the same

Plot: 10 years after the events of YJ Phantoms, Blackfire, the empress of Tamaran and the new antagonist of the game allies with Darkseid and his Female Furies to revive the creature known as the Parallax, that was contained by the deceased Green Lantern, Abin Sur. Love, thank you for responding to my last ask, I was waiting to hear your thoughts on it. This time I have an idea that not based on a musical but loosely based on Harry Potter.

What if the reason YJR survived the attack from the Lords Of Order is because her mother cast a spell protecting her? Like how Lilys love for Harry protected him and killed Voldemort. It would make sense as to why she survived.

To take it a step further the spell might protect her from anyone trying to hurt her so no one can hurt her no matter what they do. So they just… leave her. But Kent Nelson comes back, not as Dr. Fate but as himself and is able to bring her back because he doesn’t want to hurt her. It would also make Kent Nelson a good person in her mind, but Dr. Fate is not.

Ps: a while ago someone made a joke about the YJ crew singing “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and I got bored and wrote a parody if you’re interested

OMG OMG OMG HNNNNGGGGG

Imagine the very first time it happens! The batkids think that it was Jason who started it all. Jason would say that he was copying what YJ was doing.

But the ACTUAL first adoption, I imagine, was when Alfred was getting overwhelmed by everything, breaking down for the first time, and coming to the realization that, yeah. His kid is fucked up, and that he did have a hand in how he came to be.

Cue Tim witnessing this breakdown. Cue him inviting Alfred to his apartment. Cue Tim taking care of Alfred, making sure to get all of Alfred's needs while the old man dissociates for the first time since Thomas and Martha's deaths.

While Alfred rests for the night in Tim's spare bedroom, he goes to Bruce to give him the sermon of his life.

"Bruce Thomas Kane Wayne."

Tim full-names the fuck out of his emotionally adopted kid. He wasn't even shouting. Instead, every bit of icy-cold fury inherited by Janet is in his expression, bringing chills down Bruce's back, and heightening his flight response to maximum levels.

Okay, so maybe Tim was there to scold Bruce, but the man looked super pitiful. As if while Tim was taking care of Alfred, he was already feeling the effects his words and actions had on the old man. Remorse. His emotionally adopted child was expressing remorse, which is progress that Tim really needs to make sure doesn't go a thousand steps back.

Tim takes a deep breath and says, "Alfred will be staying with me, Bruce. I can't let him come back here."

Bruce doesn't reply, but he hangs his head and covers his face with his hands.

Tim slowly walks up to him, and with a little bit of hesitation he places a hand on Bruce's shoulder.

"I'll take care of him," he told him. "And, we are going to relearn how to appreciate and take care of the people you love."

Bruce looks up. His eyes filled with unshed tears.

"'We?'"

Tim nods.

"I'm better than you at hugging," he gloats to lighten the mood, "but we're both shit at thinking outside ourselves. So, me and you. We're gonna make sure we're gonna be better. For the people we love."

Bruce was unconvinced. He wasn't sure he could achieve what Tim was trying to convey. But he's already lost Dick. He permanently lost Jason. And now, he fucked up to the point that the man who is paid to stay beside him when he could have quit all those years ago, who could have quit any time Bruce was finally an adult, who stayed with him beyond what was in his parents' wills, finally walked out the door and out of Bruce's life.

As if reading Bruce's thoughts, Tim tightened his grip on Bruce's shoulder.

"I won't speak for Alfred," he said, "but if you really love him, you need to make sure you'll put in the effort to be better. And when you apologize, it will be because you know he deserves an apology and deserves to know that you are trying. Do you understand, Bruce?"

Bruce made no reply.

"Do you understand?" Tim snapped.

The older man sucked in a breath, but nodded his head and decided that the floor feels so much better to look at rather than Tim's disappointed stare.

"I... I'll... try..." he stuttered.

Tim let go of Bruce, exhaling and feeling all tension leaving his body.

He needed to check on Alfred. Maybe even get the small plant Dick gifted him that he's taking care of.

He nodded at Bruce, feeling silly because the man can't see it.

"I'll be back in the morning, B," he said, outstretching his hand into Bruce's line of sight. "Let's get you to bed."

The bat kids should threaten to get adopted by Tim every time Bruce is being a dickhead or just an inconvenience in anyway shape or form. Tim is paranoid enough to have his foster license and probably overthinks it enough to have Gotham CPS under his control. (Some people are bribing the cops while this man is bribing CPS smh.)

And like when Bruce over steps, they’re like “ok then, Tim’s my new dad now. “ Then they go camp out at Tim’s place for a while.

Usually the younger ones (+Cass) do this but it’s even more hilarious when Dick and Jason catch on to this. I think that Jason would do it first tho

Like imagine if Bruce refused to give Jason money for ammo or smth:

oh look it's the sequel to you found me when no one else was looking that I finally learned enough about cartoon!YJ Match to write . . .

Clark doesn’t know what’s happening until he feels Conner’s rush of terror. It reverberates through him like a struck bell, and he doesn’t make a single excuse to Perry or Lois or Jimmy or anyone at all before he’s gone and at the source of it in costume. He barely stopped to put in his communicator, but he doesn’t skip his communicator anymore. Not ever. 

The source of it is Cadmus. 

Why is Conner in Cadmus, is all he has time to think before he’s dozens of floors down inside the place and catching him in his arms, and Conner grabs his shoulder with a burst of relief, and also glares at him with an aggressive threat that looks all wrong on his face. 

It’s not the same Conner, doing those things. 

Clark stares at the boy floating in front of them, who isn’t the Conner in his arms. The boy’s eyes are black and furious, irises an inhuman Kryptonian blue, and his teeth are bared. He looks like he wants to kill someone and his mind is an isolated, empty thing. There aren’t even any G-nome bonds in it. Not so much as a single attempted bond at all. 

He’s wearing the El crest. 

It feels exactly like seeing Conner for the first time, even with the smashed-up lab and Conner panting for breath in his arms, in pain in his arms. It feels like . . . 

Clark reaches out for the boy’s mind with his own, the gesture more reflex than anything else. 

“Don’t–!” Conner chokes, and the boy clutches at his head and then reacts in fury, lunging forward all violent rage. 

Right, Clark thinks distantly as he yanks Conner back out of danger, twisting to put his body between the two of them. Of course Conner would’ve already tried that.
