Splashdown idea-
I just came up with this a second ago so pardon any strangeness in wording.
Splashdown is one of three supers to have a non confirmed fate, one of his abilities is aquatic adaptation and he was sucked into a water spout/tornado thing.
While I’m a firm believer that he’s actually alive, there could be a sad reason he hasn’t resurfaced, besides maybe he’s living in Atlantis if he finally found it, but the cape:
The force of the cape pulling him into the water when he was actively fighting against it could’ve seriously damaged his wind pipe through pressure, to the point where when he gained his bearings, using his powers to adapt to the water and make his way to shore, when he surfaced, one; he realised he couldn’t speak, and two; he realised he couldn’t breathe.
The damage was too great, he could breathe through gills his adapting made but not his throat.
Sure, he could’ve found a way to contact the NSA, but we know next to nothing about this dude, for all we know, he could’ve hated being a hero bc all he wanted to do was study the oceans and look for Atlantis, he could’ve figured this was his chance to cut loose from the NSA’s monitoring and do what he wants with his life.
He’s very specifically listed as missing in action, so the NSA have enough faith in his abilities that he’s still alive, they probably also suspect he ran off, but the funds needed to go looking for him would go to hiding the Supers for fifteen years. (We also have no clue when he went missing, we know Thunderhead and Stratogale died operating illegally in the 15 years, and we know Dynaguy dies before Supers became illegal, no frame of reference for Splashdown and Metaman.)

Like let’s just look at what we have for him at a base-
Super speed; there are So Many applications of super speed that can qualify as their own powers
Molecular manipulation; bro can literally latch onto a vibrate particles to the point they cause a chain reaction explosion, bro can vaporise Anything he wants, and we don’t know the limits of this either, like, could he cause a seizure? Can he vibrate things he can’t see?
And further on his molecular manipulation, if that how his speed doesn’t affect him? Is he covered head to toe in his own molecular shield he can command and expand at will? Is that how he can latch onto other molecules? Does that not count as a form of telekinesis? If he can control these molecules around him, he should be able to fly or levitate somehow.
Heritage: just as a quick aside besides the usual ‘he’s the son of the scarlet witch of course he should have magic’, Tommy was born first, Billy was magicked last second bc Wanda didn’t want Tommy to be alone, so many of Tommy’s limitations to ‘the fast one’ are most definitely from Wanda’s projection of her sibling hood with Pietro, where she staunchly believes in one having magic one having speed. If Tommy had remained an only child I have no doubts he would have magic. And that being said, Tommy and Billy are Wanda’s kids, not a redo of Wanda and Pietro, they’re not a remake they’re their own stories, treating them as such not only dulls Tommy’s story but Billy’s story. Tommy has magic, that’s the end all be all, but because Wanda believes so strongly that he doesn’t bc she wanted a do over of her and her brother, her magic is unconsciously limiting him.
Learning: people in marvel comics can learn magic for gods sakes, while yes being born into a magic family can help, people without it can still do magic. The guy lives with Master Pandemonium, I don’t doubt he could pick a few things up just from being around him.
Sorry for piggy backing your post but yeah this is something I get heated about too.
I don't know if I've seen this take yet but my (definitively) unpopular opinion is that - if we ARE going to give Tommy Shepherd a power up - time manipulation is by far the stupidest, most unoriginal way to do it. It is unbelievably boring. The entire Flash family already does that. Quicksilver had that for a bit. It's the go-to for any speedster.
It hardly makes any sense, given we can draw from canon that both Tommy and Pietro's speed is simply how their ancestral magic manifests, due to the High Evolutionary's experiments. Otherwise they would have abilities similar to Django Maximoff; relatively minor spellcasting. Illusions and object animation and stuff. So there's already a solid explanation for how their powers work!
We can absolutely sit down and think of a better power up than goddamn time manipulation. I can come up with several off the top of my head. Come on.

Who was monitoring Gamma Jack?
Tumblr media
Now, I feel like this is some interesting theory and headcanon territory, so I’m going to toss my idea in the middle of the circle and you can see if you like it or not.
Gamma Jack was canonically being monitored, it’s one of the few things we know for sure about him. Not only that, but the monitoring is listed as A Level, which I feel is safe to assume as the highest level.
Theory- Bob was one of the monitors.
Bob was well trusted by a LOT of heroes, genuinely friends with a lot of them as well, this included Gamma Jack. Gamma Jack has beliefs about superiority which definitely can be tied to other belief systems like racism, ableism, sexism and classism.
However, luckily for Bob, he fits into Jack’s view of ‘superior’. He’s tall, muscular, his powers make him indestructible and he gets his job done, he’s capable, but most importantly, most likely, is he’s a man, and he’s white.
Now, someone can point out, ‘hey! Gamma Jack was in that deleted scene with Bob AND Lucius! He’s not racist!’, my friends, Jack thought Supers were superior, he also more than likely based his good connections on how powerful a Super is. However, the Glory days are set before the 50’s, before literal segregation was lifted, a man like Jack most definitely has deep rooted biases. It’s most likely he only liked Frozone because he was the only Super who could call himself Mr Incredible’s best friend.
Now, why do I say all this?
Someone with the complexes like Jack would gravitate towards someone like Bob, making him more likely to let his walls down, giving Bob the chance to ask some questions to either get things straight or report back to the NSA. Watching for if something goes sideways in Jack’s mind, because the NSA knew he was a problem.
TLDR: I think Bob was (one of many) monitoring Gamma Jack, at least during the Glory Days.

Oh my good lord they’re perfect!!
Tumblr media
Date night
Don't mind the background, I wanted this to be a full piece so I scratched one out. It's based off the theater that is at my community college. I love the orange curtains there.
Scott’s design is based off of @ughigottaheadache’s headcanon of him being Mr. I’s lawyer at the beginning of the movie as well as the scar on Thunderhead’s forehead.
Thunderhead’s design is very much heavily based off of @trickostars’ AMAZING redesign. I really love the colors you’ve used!!
Also thank you @flintt for the help with Phylange's pose.. he was and still sorta is giving me problems.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
vv Once again headcanons are under the cut!! vv
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I actually relate so much to Thunderhead.. I don’t feel like I’m smart at all sometimes. I only graduated high school because I was able to drop out from the big one in my town and attend a continuation high, where I could literally take just art classes if I wanted to and is the only reason I passed high school.
This drawing was originally gonna include Gamma Jack- but he isn’t my fav and also If I were to draw him it would have been with a date and I didn’t know what to do with her design lol. I’m happy with how this came out however. I am also wayyy more a Thunderhead fan than a Gamma Jack fan.. sorry fellas.
Here are some more headcanons, btw because I guess now my posts all have to come with them.
I think, when they could get a babysitter, Thunder and Scott would go off to Phylange’s performances for date nights because Phylange could hook them up with a private box.
Phylange, when he’s actually taking care of his voice, gives singing lessons to Scott’s and Thunder’s kids sometimes.
I think Phylange would love to be on Broadway and in plays, and his fans as well, however he can’t because being a Super makes knowing when his voice will sound good be unpredictable.
Even though I feel like the Supers all accept each other for who they are and at least try to be each other's safe places- I feel these three + Macroburst would be extra close due to my personal headcanon of the Phylange identifying as Queer.
Also, I know this post doesn’t include him but I totally feel Everseer would avoid everyone here. Kids are just in general sticky and germie and I feel would totally freak Everseer out. Phylange, described by Mr. Incredible, is a bit messy as well, which also makes me thing Everseer would avoid him. I still think they’d be friends and enjoy each other occasionally- I just don’t see Everseer going out of his way to interact with these guys. Sorry if that’s ooc- I actually don’t know much about Everseer besides him being a HUGE germaphobe (for being able to see them ig?) and having a cat.
Thunder and Scott have officially adopted five kids, however they are the hotspot for all the neighborhood kids who don't have the best homelife to go to. They are constantly hosting sleepovers
Also.. would anyone like to be moots and talk about The Incredibles? I need to yap about Phylange

Possible age range of Thunderhead’s kids-
I’m choosing to believe that Thunderhead was already a dad to these kids well before the Super Ban took place, and majority of foster to adopt don’t involve small babies but children any age under 18. Anyways;
They’re all definitely older than Violet, for starters. Violet was born inside the hero ban, just by enough that she’s practically the same age as it, and if Thunderhead already had these kids before the ban, the youngest one of them could possibly be by the main story of the first movie is sixteen.
The label of kids does involve eighteen, and I think it’s possible he did take in teenagers, and they were all still under eighteen by the time of the ban. So if we say the youngest he had was a baby, and the oldest he had was a seventeen year old, by the first movie, his kids would be anywhere from sixteen years old to thirty two. So basically, worlds you oyster in terms of how old you want to make any of his kids, at least the ones he’s legally adopted, it’s not taking into account him possibly fostering before and during the ban.

Guys, let’s be honest. Yes, Thunderhead sounds like dunder head. However… I am going to move the offer across the table and counter offer…
He actually picked out his name as a joke bc he knows he can give some thunderous head and Scott knows it. (It just didn’t occur to him until it was too late that it also sounded like dunder head bc he was too amused that he got away with his joke)

Thunderhead Family nicknames-
Other post here
Ethan loves giving nicknames and pet names to the people he loves, it’s a force of habit he got from his mother.
He calls his kids all types of weather related pet names.
My sunshine, storm cloud, summer rain, hurricane, flurry, rain cloud, thunder storm, spring shower, rainbow.
For Scott, however, he has more romantic ones like; my lightning in a bottle, storm’s eye

Thunder-Headcanons:
(Lol I love puns)
These are centric to the backstory I’ve created for my own take of Thunderhead and his family, if you don’t like, don’t read kay?
Warnings: parentification, domestic violence, child abuse, near death, traumatic brain injury, heavily implied murder, death
Name: Ethan Colby or Watson (haven’t decided yet but still felt like making this post regardless)
Why? At first I liked the name Milo for him, I read a fic where the author named his as such and I though it was sweet, but I’m picky about names and it just wasn’t my taste. Now Ethan, I like the name, it’s short and sounds nice, not an imposing name and Thunderhead, while tall, wasn’t imposing, otherwise kids might not have liked him so much, plus, people regularly pushed him around.
Plus, Ethan > E-Thun > Thunder. I like having fun with names lol.
Backstory: for lack of a better word, I don’t think Ethan was always the way he was speech and intelligence wise. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think he was ever going to be a genius, but I have a sad idea as to why he struggles so much in high school and later in life.
I picture Ethan being the first born kid of a large family, of around seven, lived out in the country side. The three born after him were boys, and he helped raise them as soon as he was old enough, so to put it lightly, he’s always been raising kids, it’s why he’s so good at it. After his brothers were his sisters and he helped raise them too.
I didn’t think Ethan’s father was a kind man, not a good man either, wasn’t around a lot but when he was home he wanted control, which is tough when all his kids see his eldest as their dad and protector. So, they’d get into arguments, fights, and one day, when Ethan was either 12 or 13, his dad went too far. Hit him so hard he fell and cracked his head on the kitchen counter. Didn’t help him up when he went limp.
Ethan grew tall quickly, got big quickly, levelling up to his dads height quicker and quicker, and so we’re his brothers, his dad being insecure about a lot of things took these as affronts because he never looked inward on himself. Because of this, he didn’t have a qualm with putting a hand to Ethan when he wouldn’t obey.
Ethan was unconscious for a long time, but his mother and brothers were too terrified to take him to the hospital until his father left, when he did it was the first thing they did. Ethan was never quite the same after the injury. Words were already hard for him, now they would wobble on the page. He used to be a fast talker, at first it was an effort to even move his tongue. He has a scar on the side of his head from the impact and later surgery to try and help him, it’s jagged, looks a little like lightning.
He was still loving and kind and still knew how to do things, but learning new concepts, the harder they got the less he could learn them, hence leaving high school. Besides, his mother needs help around the house, with one less tuition to pay it’s more money to help the others.
Their dad stayed gone for a long long while after what he did to Ethan. Could it have been guilt? Was he worried his wife would finally report him to the police? Tell everyone in town all the things he’d done to them? It didn’t matter.
He came back to the house when Ethan was 15-17. He’d gotten bigger again, and was sitting on the porch steps like he knew he’d be there. Business had been good in town, they were farmers, and after years of short rain seasons, things had changed. Suddenly rain would be consistent for weeks, just like they had been in the past. Ethan was a part time field worker, he knew how to work with his hands and that’s all the farms needed.
(The Supers of the Glory Days have a consistent theme of their powers developing in their teens, supposedly this is the norm for Supers, cases like the Parr children are most likely due to both of their parents having the active Super gene. People who only have one active gene parent or a dormant gene parent, likely only have their powers surface in their teens or twenties. This is relevant.)
It was windy at the two stared each other down, one at the gate, one on the porch. No one knows what happened, but their father was found dead far down the road. The coroner concluded he was killed by a lightning strike from the storm that swept in that day.
Now, fast forward to Ethan being an adult. He was likely approached by the NSA and later moved to the city, his brothers and sisters and mother were all looked after now, he didn’t have to worry about them. Trying to fit in with the other heroes was tough, but, he did find a friend in Stratogale and Macroburst. Having wind controlled flight made for some fun patrols. Besides, Thunderhead’s always been good with kids, wherever he was at a function, Stratogale wasn’t far behind, perched on his shoulder or sleepily leaning against him because the hero gala was on a Friday and she’d been busy at school trying to catch up. Macroburst and Thunderhead saw a kind of kindred spirit in each other, sensing something fundamentally outside of society’s boxes.
He was friends with Bob, not as close as Bob and Lucius, but like, those two are as tight as tight can be, hard to come close to that. I personally hc Bob had a bit of a hard life at his early years too, not as hard as Ethan’s in comparison, but enough to explain why he has the mindset of not everyone being special and if you are, you ghouls do you best to shine bright. I also hc that Bob had someone in his life slightly similar to Ethan’s situation disability wise, and he clocked it pretty quick when Ethan was introduced as Thunderhead.
Ethan was popular with the kids and parents immediately bc they could just tell he was a good person, and how can you not like someone who’s most frequent articles have photos of them smiling, holding happy and safe children.
My personal theory is that the kids Ethan was adopting were connected to NSA stuff. Either the kids of Supers, who have either died or given them up for their safety, or rescued from danger but lost their parents, rescued from experimentation or just the kids of villains who are in prison custody. We know he had officially adopted five kids, but I like to think eventually he was fostering as well.
That, and him being so good with kids and bringing them around to group hangs, was what inspired Bob to really want to settle down and become a father.
(Ethan’s nickname for Bob was Bobby, and while Lucius rebuked the potential nickname Lucy, he took Ethan calling him ‘The Best’ in stride, whenever they’d meet up for a sort of boys night.)
Now: Scott Waterford
He already had two kids by the time he met Scott, whom I’ve made a post about already, through the NSA legal system when he ran into some trouble. He shocked him with his willingness to make time as show up not only to council but to court, insisting even though he knew it would get swept under he wanted to do the right thing.
Things followed from there, either Scott moving in with him or maybe Scott had a nicer place?
I could honestly see if the kids were all Supers or connected to sensitive matters, the NSA provided Ethan with a nice place to raise them and allowances for each of the kids alongside his salary. Things go well for a while.
Then Mr Incredible saves the jumper and fumbles the Bomb Voyage capture.
As per my Scott post, Ethan asked, near pleaded with Scott to take the jumper suing case, and he did. Ethan would listen to the radio and watch whatever coverage there was of the case every day while it stretched on, trying to busy himself with the kids and their place while still going out to patrol.
Sometimes Scott slept at the office, sometimes he’d come home and just fall asleep on the couch, exhausted from another day of arguing that heroes are supposed to intervene when people are in danger, even when they willingly place themselves in that danger.
Then, not long after, Superhero activity becomes illegal, so many of Ethan’s friends never speak to him again.
A few years into the ban, Macroburst stops picking up his calls, but they’d always been on the move, he should wait to see if they’d reach out again. Scott sees Simon at the department of justice on a regular for many years. They don’t quite talk, but Ethan’s always happy to hear Simon is still okay, he was one of the few who didn’t talk to him like an idiot. Then, ten years into the ban, after being in maybe monthly contact for years, Ethan hears the news that Stratogale is dead, jet engine turbine. At this point in time as well, it’s likely Bob and Lucius only keep contact with each other, being the tightest friends there are, and even though he has his family, Ethan feels alone.
Leading into just over a year later, he goes out when news of a woman strapped to a rocket pointed at the city, and he wins.
And then he’s gone.
Now at this point, anyone could write an au of maybe he survived and they used it as publicity that he’s ‘actually dead’ now, but sadly in my heart of hearts, I believe he’s dead. And it’s almost a mercy that that’s how he died, if Mirage had gotten to him, he most definitely would’ve gone, not even for the glory, but just to help people who needs saving. It’s possible he would’ve told Scott, and with his connections they might’ve been able to do something, but I have no doubts that Buddy had his hands in so many parts of the government that it would’ve backfired.
All I know about Ethan for sure is that he loved his family, and they loved him, it no doubt broke their hearts when he died, and in such a public way that people would later make fun of for years to come.

For no particular reason I’ve decided to imagine that this guy is the Scott that Thunderhead was ‘roommates’ with.
Tumblr media
I imagine Scott was actually involved in the NSA in its legal department and after a career of being bogged down by legal jargon and witnessing so many corrupt people abusing the system, meeting someone so genuinely kind and altruistic, if a little slow and thinks too highly of others, he grew attached very quickly.
I picture Thunderhead and Scott were dating well before the suing debacle that led to the Super Ban, and Thunderhead being friends with Bob, pleaded with Scott to take the case. And he did his best, was probably able to lower the amount the NSA would’ve had to fork out to the suicide jumper, but how stubborn and hard headed Bob was out a bad taste in his mouth. Which is why Bob doesn’t have the same lawyer when it comes to the train passengers suing him. Scott did his best for what Thunderhead asked.
Furthermore, I like to think the kids Thunderhead adopted were actually Super’s or children of Supers (doesn’t necessarily mean they were active heroes, just ppl with powers) who couldn’t handle kids. Thunderhead was always good with kids, so the NSA saw him as good to use for a prototype fostering system for supers who get their powers early (most regular supers seem to get their powers in teen or young adult years, the Parr kids def got theirs so early bc they have two parents with the active super gene).
Now I could go on with how Thunderhead being so good with kids could be rooted in a potential back story, or that I think they actually got more kids handed to them in the ten years of the ban that Thunderhead was still alive, but I’ll stop here before I get sad thinking about how his death would’ve impacted them all.
Oh yeah and this could mean that Scott and Gazerbeam potentially worked together or side by side maybe for a short while

Stratogale wasn’t a teenager when she died.
I’ve been seeing a lot of confusion concerning her age bc of the NSA files listing her age and people believing she was a teenager when she died. Don’t get me wrong, she was still tragically young, but not a kid anymore.
Let’s get some things straight:
The bulk of the movie takes place in 1962, Stratogale died in 1957 as per Edna’s monologue, so, five years before the movie. The Super Restriction Act has been in action for fifteen years, so, she died ten years into it.
Whilst we don’t know how old she actually was we have the general breadth of fifteen to nineteen being her possible age, and we quite literally see her in the pews at Bob and Helen’s wedding, very visibly a teenager.
Add ten years to any of the ages between fifteen and nineteen, she was anywhere from twenty five to twenty nine when she died tragically, which is still young!!! Very young actually!!
I just keep seeing people acting as if she was still a kid when she died when she cannot have possibly still been a kid with this timeline.
Like I love Brad Bird and all the ideas he’s put into his brainchild but this is an example of things falling through the cracks and creating some confusion.
TLDR: Stratogale was not a teenager when she died, she would’ve been anywhere from twenty five to twenty nine years old.

👀 thoughts?
“Man, I just know you’d hate this statue they gave you, Syl. They didn’t make you look nearly as full of yourself as you were.” Sandy cracked a smile at his own words, looking back down at the statue’s feet, his tired smile pushing at his eyes before he sighed.
One line in and I was hooked on how you write Sandy. He's exhausted but he always has one more sidekick-esque quip in him.
Their eyes meet again, a silent ‘stop living in the what if’s’ is held between them.
I love this theme for SandWave. They've been through so much alone and maybe if Sandy was there- or maybe if Syl hadn't died- or maybe if Hank had been able to step up and take over Infinity inc.- They really just have to find a way to make peace with the past and move forward into a happier and safer place.
“Do you, like, know when the premonition feeling about something is done? Do I have to worry that more stuff is going to happen?” (Hank) “Is this really the best time to be having this conversation?” (Sandy) “When do we ever cross paths, Sandy? Just tell me so I can at least stop worrying about the what if’s, then I’ll let you go.” (Hank)
I also love to see Sandy being avoidant. It happens a few more times, it's amazing. And I honestly could pull so many more things to talk about from this, but I might end up copy and pasting the whole thing and I think people should just go read it. Also, the romantic moments at the end are well crafted and so sweet. I love this story! You make amazing SandWave stuff, I'm excited to see SandSyl being incorporated (no pun intended).

My thoughts process on the sequencing of when each Saja boy became a demon
This might be controversial but I have my reasoning.
I think that Mystery (hc: Minhwan) is actually the oldest chronologically, brought down before Jinu or anyone else. I think this simply bc of his name, he’s a mystery. He hasn’t told anyone his story besides Gwi-Ma knowing it through his manipulations, but I have smth to add on to this.
I think his deal had something to do with people knowing everything about him, he wanted to become unknown and just left alone, and that deal actually followed him into the demon realm, meaning even Gwi-Ma’s own spells can effect himself. Every now and again he has to sit there to remember anything about Mystery, ultimately he doesn’t have to worry bc he has control over him through his markings.
Next on the list is Jinu, obvi. He and Mystery didn’t get to know each other, the older still preferring to be alone even in half life.
Next is actually Abby (hc:Ahn-Byun)! What I took from what screen time he had he was usually awfully close to Jinu, so I think not long after Jinu he came down and Jinu saw potential in Abby’s ability to follow and they became fast allies. (And maybe some more)
Next is Romance (hc:Ryomeo) then Baby (hc:Beom).
This quickly became a gush theories about Mystery post but ah fuck it, it was fun.
