I always wondered why Katniss factored marriage and children into the equation when it came to reciprocating Peeta’s feelings for her. It’s a rather large leap, especially when Peeta himself never expresses wanting children at any point in the story. He uses children as a tool to persuade Katniss and the Capital to save her life, but the only time we see him express any desire/feelings of having one of his own is when he’s crying after the baby bomb. But we never hear his real thoughts.

But you wanna know who does express wanting children? Gale.

It’s one of the first thing he mentions in chapter one. And it pisses her off so much.

(I also want to add that Gale reframes/establishes the dynamic of Katniss and him caring for their siblings from something that is sibling-sibling to parent-sibling. And he is not wrong. Katniss doesn’t refute him. Both Katniss and Gale are surrogate parents to their siblings. Which is also why Katniss love and affection of Prim, is not just sisterly. I’ve seen people say Katniss is only sisterly to Prim- but she’s not. She’s parentified their relationship to the point she subconsciously see Prim as her child, which makes this a tragedy because she’ll loose her first child no matter what she does by the end of the story.)

But Gale’s phrasing here elevates himself as a potential suitor to Katniss by placing them both as the parental roles to these children. (Which irritates her a lot ). Which is why she brings the topic up with her relationship with Peeta. Because she’s subconsciously aware of Gale’s efforts and knows it will be a point of contention between them. It hangs over her head in a way.

With Gale, children are extra mouths to feed. (But Gale will do fine. He can work. He can hunt.) It’s all framed with calculated survival in mind. But it’s also not something she had planned in the future at any point.

But Peeta’s children? Oh they deserve to be born because Peeta deserves to be a father. He would be such a good father. They deserve to exist in a world where they can be safe and happy. (Even if it’s not with her.)

This is also why I think she subconsciously sees Peeta’s baby as her own. And I don’t think of it as a cruel/heartless thing, it’s just you’d be more protective of your own child compared to someone else’s. Katniss sees Gale as a reliable person who’s equipped to look after a kid. She doesn’t express the same kind of maternal instinct/yearning for the Baby Hawthrone’s safety as she does with the idea of Baby Mellark, because she doesn’t think of Gale’s child as her own. She never hopes for a better future for them, but she does with Peeta because he and that baby gives her hope. And she loves him that much.

Anyway, thinking about how the Predator movies are, at their core, a retelling of The Wild Hunt mythology and what happens when people get caught in it; namely the heroes that manage to survive and in winning become themselves the Hunter/ritually inducted to it like Lex Woods getting the Predator Mark.

Dark choco cookie x milk cookie fan kid plz

This is like my 2nd oldest unfinished request by now, over a year old, but I got it done finally, this is Choco Milk Cookie

So to be honest, I’m not sure what gender Choco Milk is. They started out as a guy, but as it went on and as I look at the final product, I’m not so sure anymore. I’m making them nonbinary then

Anyways, so Choco Milk lives in the Milk Village, and they work in building construction, in part due to their incredible strength (and because they want to help people by giving them homes). They do work outside of the village and help around any parts of the kingdom, whoever needs it

They’re a very calm individual, not having much of a temper. They also don’t fight, though they can throw a punch if needed

While they like chocolate milk, their favorite food is the hot cheese soup from the Milk Village, which they are enjoying in the sketch. They enjoy cheese in general, they say it goes very well with chocolate

Choco Milk was supposed to have a twin, named Milk Choco, but I didn’t end up making them, I could only think of stuff for Choco Milk. Though maybe one day I’ll draw Milk Choco, I’m not opposed to Chilk still having a twin

The names Choco Milk and Milk Choco came from the fact that both can come from a combination of milk and chocolate. There’s no real elaborate thought to their ingredients

Chocolate milk:

So I recognize that Choco Milk’s colors, on the surface, aren’t the most similar to their parents, with the light brown hair and eyes. I was mostly basing their color scheme on Milk’s chocolate costume in Kingdom. And I made their eyes like that because they’re a milk Cookie, even if they’re also chocolate. Tried to give them a more red tint though

I also added in those white streaks to reference Dark Choco. I think it works as a pop of bright color

The hair was giving me trouble at the front, but I think I got something all right out of it? The back of their hair is supposed to be a mullet, sort of like what Brock Samson has

I also made Choco Milk’s outfit brown instead of the blue/white of the Milk Tribe, but it works with them being chocolate. Probably makes them stand out in the village though

I do wonder if their outfit looks too similar to White Velvet. Whom I now realize I never fully finished or posted. Should go back and do that. But I bring it up since they both have the poncho and live in the Milk Village. And are both supposed to have the milk eyes. Maybe I should change that on White Velvet, not sure

But anyways, I think that’s about it on Choco Milk. I think they turned out pretty all right

And yeah, hope you like them!

obsessed with my idea of hayama secretly recording his interactions with akashi cause he thinks hes the funniest person ever

his favorite thing to do is go up to akashi and ask him some dumb rando question at least once a week, and of course akashi always has a perfect answer

hayama: *frantically runs up to akashi panting* akashi! why doesnt glue dry in the bottle!

akashi: its called mechanical adhesion. when white glue is inside a bottle there's not enough air inside the bottle to cause the water to evaporate to make the glue sticky. the bottle protects the glue from the air and keeps the glue runny : )

hayama: whered did the air go?

akashi: They sealed the air out with the cap

hayama: but than why doesnt it dry when you open the bottle?

akashi: It does dry, that is why you have to seal the bottle when youre done with it : )

Because in preperation for adding the first new NPC to my mod, I'm adding some new rooms to the game. And I thought it'd be easy but OH-HO-HO! Was I wrong! Was arcane s2 perfect? No. Nah it was rushed in places even if peices still fit. I think it flails in some parts. I think interpretations will flail if minor character changes are forgotten. I think it worked well within its world, carrying the "easy solutions or fix-its get you got" throughout its smallest sinews consistently.

Standing and staring at a wall with the way I'm already seeing people say very VERY inspiration porn things about Viktor but also forgetting to factor in that Jayce ends up with disabilities AND the reasons why Viktor and Jayce's partnership began (as two lower class citizens, for different reasons but still boats in a sea of discrimination). I think that ending speech was iffy if you cannot factor in their similarities. But I'm still gonna gently give it a side eye for a solid while.

I think it all works ultimately when you have to remember the world is a very heavy handed action/reaction and commentary on social-economical failures with characters repping different aspects of both cities failures and how those failures make people lean to an easy fix (even if out of desperation and not totally of their hand) because of how all failures end up mashing together into major and minor connected issues, ie, shimmer addiction, piltover failing zaun, zaun failing it's people when it becomes like piltover; piltovers social-eco issues are shared by zaun in a spiderweb of ways that will NEVER be easy to fix.

It needed more time tbh.
