@beatingheart-bride
"That would be such an honor."
As they left the theater arm in arm, Susannah elaborated a little further on her feelings regarding the idea, saying, "I don't see people wearing my work very often, but when I do, when I see them wearing my hats and bonnets out in town...there's nothing like it. It gives me a-a sorta...a feeling of pride, I guess you'd say. A job well done."
Of course, no one knew the name of the maker of the hat; all who made them were anonymous. Those who shopped and bought from the haberdashery usually just cheerfully told their friends, "Oh, I got it from Mickey's!" giving no thought to the people who really made them. But even so, when Susannah saw her work out in the park, people donning her top hats and sunhats and the like, and to see others compliment her handiwork without knowing it was hers...it put a little smile on her face.
"I know they don't know it's mine, but...it still feels good, knowing they're so happy with it," she smiled softly, cheeks pink as exited back out onto the street. "So to think about people seeing my work on a stage night after night and loving it, admiring it, actually knowing that it's mine? It...it would be nothing short of an honor to me."
#((it's okay; i totally understand! i figured you were busy with work and festivities; you're all good!))#((i had a very quiet holiday as i usually do; i spent it with my folks; and i did get and give some good gifts!))#((my parents got me a little plastic terrarium featuring characters from 'gegege no kitaro'; my favorite manga/anime))#((i got my dad a kit for cleaning his records; and i got my mom a vintage doll from the warner bros. studio store!))#((did you get/give any good gifts yourself? and oh yes; i've been absolutely slammed by work!))#((we've had lots of people come in with the gift certificates we sell; we sold a lot of them during the holidays))#((so people have been coming by to cash those in and get some games and consoles; so yeah; i've been busy!))#((and that doesn't even get into all the people coming by with old games and consoles to trade for cash or credit!))#((and i'm kinda thinking the same thing; honestly; i think we discussed it early on in the tags of this rp))#((and i think it's a good choice for a follow-up; i'd love to see it get the 'phantasm' treatment with a revamp!))#((plus i am still MELTING at the image of little baby werewolf!lon and erika oh my GOSH!))#outofhatboxes#beatingheart-bride#V:Genderbent

It's been 4 years since Steven Universe came to an end. But I will let the characters come back in a script for a feature film my friend and I have written that takes place 10 years later after the events of the last episode The Future where Steven and Connie are young adults coming to Beach City for a summer vacation and to get married. And we will see Aquamarine Emerald Kevin and the five Rubies team up to vow their revenge on Steven and the others.

Aha - Take On Me 1985
"Take On Me" is a song by the Norwegian synth-pop band A-ha. The original version from 1984 was produced by Tony Mansfield and remixed by John Ratcliff. The 1985 international hit version was produced by Alan Tarney for the group's debut studio album, Hunting High and Low.
In 1984, Andrew Wickham was the international vice-president for Warner Bros Records America, and their A&R man in London. He immediately signed A-ha to Warner Brothers America, after learning several previous attempts had failed to make "Take On Me" a commercial success. The next release was not successful either and featured a very ordinary performance video. He authorised considerable investment in the band: on Slater's recommendation, renowned producer Alan Tarney was commissioned to refine the song. The new recording achieved a cleaner and more soaring sound. It was re-released in the UK, but the record label's office in London gave them little support, and the single flopped for the second time.
Wickham placed the band on high priority and applied a lateral strategy with further investment. Steve Barron directed a revolutionary rotoscoping animation music video which took six months to create, using professional artists. Approximately 3,000 frames were rotoscoped, which took 16 weeks to complete. The single was released in the US one month after the music video, and immediately appeared in the Billboard Hot 100 and was a worldwide smash, reaching No. 1 in numerous countries.
At the 1986 MTV Video Music Awards, the video won six awards: Best New Artist in a Video, Best Concept Video, Most Experimental Video, Best Direction in a Video, Best Special Effects in a Video, and Viewer's Choice, and was nominated for two others, Best Group Video and Video of the Year. It was also nominated for Favorite Pop/Rock Video at the 13th American Music Awards in 1986.
"Take On Me" received a total of 95% yes votes, and is currently the most liked song on this poll blog! 🥳

This along with The Iron Giant, Ratatouille, Robots and Chicken Run.
Got a question for y’all. What is one media that you watched as a kid that was marketed for kids, but didn’t realize until years later that it was more for/would be appreciated more by adults? It can’t just be from your childhood, it has to be marketed towards kids, so it can’t be something like “Hellsing” or “The Mummy”.
My answer: The Incredibles
* Calls out insurance companies for screwing over people
* Main villain gets chopped up by an engine
* Bob and Helen’s conflict is written like a cheating plot, with Mirage as the “mistress”
* Bob’s main arc is basically a mid-life crisis
* That one uncomfortable scene where Bob and Helen are arguing about Bob’s mid-life crisis and that he’s neglecting his son, which ends up scaring the kids
* The level of violence. We got an attempted suicide, dozens of supers are violently killed off-screen, the villain gets chopped into pieces, gunfire, kids getting attacked, and so on
