Beauty Product Empties June 2023
Sharing the products I’ve used up in the past few weeks. It is always interesting, I think, to see what people completely use up. I hardly ever use up makeup items, simply because I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis, so these posts tend to be predominantly skincare. Diptyque Philoskos EDP I adore fig scented products and this Diptyque perfume is gorgeous. It is a fragrance with richness and…

GLOW UP GUIDE FOR 2025⠀
READ: On average, it takes more than 2 months before a new behavior becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact. And considering that 2025 is precisely these many days away, why not start with our glow up plan already?
Physical Glow Up-
BODY
— 5-10K steps a day.
— 7-8 hours of sleep.
— workout everyday for 1 hr atleast- yoga/stretching/pilates/cardio. a workout may take one hour, but your mood will be boosted for the next 12 hours.
— posture training.
— sunlight exposure after waking up for at least 10 minutes.
NUTRITION
— 2-3 liters of water every day.
— limit your caffeine intake.
— avoid sugars as much as you can.
— high protein diet, pre and probiotics.
— more fruits and veggies (+ green smoothies if you like).
— no junk/processed food/trans fat.
— no eating after 8 pm.
SKINCARE
— be clear on your skin type (oily, dry, combination, sensitive).
— once you're clear, use these accordingly- cleanser, toner, targeted serum, eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen (≥50 spf).
— keep your bedding clean as well.
— no picking of skin on your lips, cuticle etc.
— gua sha to help improve blood circulation and lessen toxins.
— cold therapy may take three to five minutes of being uncomfortable, but your energy levels will be boosted for the rest of the day.
— remove makeup before you go to bed.
BODY CARE
— shower every day.
— exfoliate 2x a week.
— use body lotion (shea butter/aloe vera gel/coconut oil).
HAIR CARE
— wash hair 2-3x a week
— oil your scalp 2x a week, at least 3 hours before shampoo.
— hair mask 1x per week.
— never brush wet hair.
— use silk pillow case.
HYGIENE
— brush your teeth 2x a day, clean tongue and the roof of the mouth daily.
— floss daily.
— cut your nails 1x a week, never remove the cuticles.
— glycolic acid under arm for odor and discoloration.
— never use soap on your coochie.
Mental Glow Up-
MINDSET
— set clear goals- define and breakdown your aspirations.
— start your mornings with positive affirmations.
— surround yourself with uplifting content and people.
— be shamelessly selfish to your career and mental health, remove anyone or anything that doesn't align with your priorities and wellbeing.
— boost your brain health by these 4 neuroscience tools:
difficult first: start your day with the most difficult task (cortisol and dopamine are high in the body meaning that your body/mind is primed to work).
rest your eyes: introduce a micro-pause after learning by resting/closing your eyes - will help retain information better.
tomorrow's worries: write tomorrow's to-do list before bed as it is proven to be effective in helping you fall asleep.
find time to play: engage in low-stake play. can be anything you find fun but where the outcome doesn't matter (induces neuroplasticity + reduces stress).
MIND
— meditation might take as low as ten minutes, but your focus will be improved for the rest of the day.
— no social media after waking up and at least an hour before bed.
— keep aside 1 hr of time to read daily! reading a new book may take five hours, but you will keep the knowledge forever.
— journaling, gratitude.
— digital detox once a week or for 12 hours.
— limit unnecessary screentime, unfollow or cut off people you don't want to see.
JOURNALING
— choose a regular time each day to journal, making it a part of your routine.
— find a quiet, comfortable place free from distractions. light a candle if you want.
— allow your thoughts to flow without censoring or editing.
— write about your feelings and emotions to understand them better. write about things you are thankful for to boost your mood. write about your short-term and long-term goals. identify what triggers certain emotions or reactions
— set a timer for 5-10 minutes and write continuously during that time.
— reflect on both positive experiences and challenges.
— make lists, journal your thoughts on these questions.
— journal at night to clear your mind before bedtime, because emotions and thoughts lose their power once we acknowledge them.
— a gratitude practice may take five minutes, but your mindset will be shifted for the rest of the day.
AFFIRMATIONS
— customise affirmations to your needs.
Personal Life-
WEEKLY TASKS
— initiate small changes: begin with small, manageable tasks such as making your bed or cleaning your room every sunday.
— celebrate your success: reward yourself when you achieve your goals or have a consistently productive week. consider treats like buying flowers for yourself or watching your favorite show.
DAILY WORK
— set achievable goals: establish realistic goals for the day, week, or month ahead.
— track your progress.
— organise your work space, declutter your shelves etc.
— embrace the power of lists: keep a list of tasks to be done and their deadlines. this way, you start each day with a clear plan. to make it visually appealing and motivating, consider using productivity apps like evernote, habit tracker, or notion.
PRODUCTIVITY TIPS
— wake up early.
— plan ahead everything, do scheduling. you can use:
google calendar / notion / tasks .
— if the task takes less than 2 minutes to finish, do it immediately.
— countdown rule, if you are procrastinating, count 1-2-3-4-5 and jump.
— start slow, don't rush and try to do everything at one time.
— follow a proper routine, use app locks based on screentime.
— pomodoro technique, 25 min work, and 5 min break.
— schedule longer break times as well e.g 30 min nap.

Sweet
one shot
1.5k / joel miller x f!reader / minors dni
summary: summertime saturday bliss with joel. Inspired by ‘Sweet’ by Cigarettes After Sex
warnings: fluff, dad!joel, boyfriend!joel, no specific description of reader, no outbreak, age gap (reader is mid20s& joel is early to mid 40s), just a whole lotta loving.
Main Masterlist 🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️
You were never fond of sharing a bed with anyone. As a child, you hated sleepovers and always wanted to be asleep early. As a teenager, you had a scrupulous night routine which carried on into your life now. Skincare, meditation, reading and sleep no later than 10pm. You were a light sleeper too, the slightest twitch, distant car alarm or whistle of wind would startle you.
That soon changed after you met Joel and you stayed the first night with him. He was double your size and he made sure to hold you all night. He was a deadweight and didn’t disturb you in the slightest. After the first night with him, the loss of his arms draped over you was huge and you could no longer sleep easily without him next to you.
Joel always slept in later than you, and would only wake after you did, to you either stifling a laugh to some stupid cat video, or vigorously writing down your manifestations and goals for the day. He didn’t mind. Your face first thing in the morning was a sight he’d want to cherish for the rest of his life.
‘Morning darl’ he drawled through a squint.
‘Sleep well?’ You rolled over to face him, and he cupped your face and pulled you in for a kiss.
‘Better than ever,’ Joel rubbed his eyes and scooped your hair off over your should and behind your neck. ‘Coffee?’
🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️
You both moseyed downstairs and opened all the doors and windows, ready for the heat of an American summer to fill the home .
Joel made your coffee, exactly how you liked it, with frothed milk, plenty of syrup and in your favourite mug, engraved with your zodiac sign.
He held out his hand and you delicately took it and walked outside onto the patio.
Wildflowers were scattered across the borders of the garden, splashes of colour and flickers of wildlife dashed throughout the morning dew.
A sparrow darted across the garden and landed the fence, calling out to the magnolia tree which shaded your patio. Joel laid propped up on his elbow as you both lounged on the deckchairs watching the birds and butterflies in the morning sun.
He aimlessly ran his fingers up and down your leg, gazing at you sipping your coffee, and smirking with a full heart.
‘Enjoying the summer mornings baby?’ Joel drawled, as he stood up and stretched. His shirt lifted, revealing a strip of golden skin and chiselled stomach.
You tilted your head, squinting as the sun glowed into your eyes. ‘I wouldn’t wanna be anywhere else, sweet boy. The city life doesn’t even compare’
‘Well this is your home now darl’. Can’t let you go anywhere now’ Joel winked and took your empty coffee mug into the kitchen.
You followed him into the house, finding the motivation to get your life together and not strip the man down to his bare bones.
He pointed a finger at you. ‘You, shower.’
You rolled your eyes.
‘Er, none of that little miss. I’m not having you moaning when it’s 11am and the parking lots are gridlocked and you can’t get your damn scented candles and bed linens.’
You were too stunned to speak, and cackled as he knew you too well. How could you be mad when he loved you too deeply to let you lose out?
🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️
You hopped in the shower, scrubbing yourself whilst filling the air with fragrance that came from Joel’s mahogany teakwood shower gel. Women’s toiletries smelt sweet, but didn’t last anywhere near as long as men’s. And anyway, who wouldn’t want to have Joel’s scent lingering all day.
Wrapped up in a fluffy white towel and your hair in a towel wrap, you did your makeup, brushed out your lashes and eyebrows, and drowned yourself in Lost Cherry. Your signature scent.
You decided on a linen co ord, baby pink with shorts and a long sleeved shirt, which you had unbuttoned slightly lower than normal, but smart enough to leave enough to the imagination.
You danced down the stairs, hearing Joel and Sarah playing in the garden. Breakfast had been made and you invited Sarah to join you on your Saturday shopping trip before Joel had to go to work
‘Come on peanut, I’ll treat you to the soda shaped candle you wanted’ you called to Sarah and grabbed your purse and some snacks, of course. Sarah ran upstairs to find one of her favourite dresses and matching bows. You prayed she’d never grow up out of her tutu dress stage for any occasion.
Joel looked like a dream, in his cargos and tight fitting flannel. The sky could be on fire and this man would still be wearing a flannel insisting it’s never too hot. He smelt like coffee and cigarette ash, and cedarwood.
He grabbed your waist, threatening to tilt you backwards over the garden sprinkler. You yelped and whacked him off with your purse and whispered seductively ‘That’s just taken away your chance to see what’s underneath my outfit.’
He fell to his knees and lunged into you, your knees buckling as he stood up with you over his shoulders. He ran into the kitchen, still holding you as if he was a fireman and the garden was a burning flame. Sarah skipped down the stairs and immediately ran with concern hearing you yelping.
‘Ma’am, I’m gonna need you to clear the exits!’ Joel did his stupid talking down a walkie talkie impression and pointed to Sarah to give way to you both.
She crossed her arms and stood firmly in the doorway, as if she wasn’t 4ft nothing.
‘You leave me with no choice’ Joel seemed to forget he still had you upside down over his shoulder and squatted down to put Sarah in the same position.
You clumsily bumped heads as Joel flung you both about with no care. He dropped you on the sofa and Sarah on the armchair.
You were out of breath from laughing and trying to keep some of your dignity.
Joel realised the time, he had to leave in two minutes to go to the site.
‘Well girls, thanks for holding me up’ he jokingly muttered, trying to imitate the attitude you and Sarah sometimes give him.
Sarah looked at you and you both shook your head and giggled. Joel chucked you the car keys and you and Sarah went out to do some shopping.
🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️🫧☁️
After facing the trenches of a retail park in scorching heat, you headed home. Joel had called to say he would be home before you and asked what cocktail you wanted lined up.
Sarah was asleep in her car seat, and you reversed onto the drive, texting Joel to grab Sarah while you got the bags.
Joel’s eye widened and jaw went slack as he saw you unload the car.
‘Baby, if I see another throw cushion I may have to scream.’ Joel delivered the most deadpan one liners sometimes, digging at your femininity and weakness for home furnishings.
‘Don’t act like you don’t fall asleep on them every single night half way through the film you decided to pick’ you shut the car door and let Joel chuckle as he went and layed Sarah on the sofa.
‘What’s for dinner baby?’ Joel asked.
‘Not sure, ask Sarah when she wakes up what she wants, I got groceries yesterday so she can pick’ you kissed his cheek and reached up for the wine glasses.
You gestured at Joel if he wanted some, and he pulled the cork out of the half finished wine bottle from last night with his teeth.
You began to crumble under how hot this man was, until he blew the cork out of his mouth and aimed it for your head. He laughed like a boy and smacked your ass as you rolled your eyes.
‘You know Miller, for someone who likes sex so much, you’re doing an awful lot to sabotage your chances of getting some tonight’ you tapped him on the hip with your foot, and he grabbed your ankle trying to trip you up.
‘You can’t resist this boyish charm, baby’ he winked and showed his perfect white teeth through a grin.
Sarah came tiptoeing into the kitchen and cuddled her daddy. You sat on the breakfast stool next to Joel, and she clambered onto your lap. You kissed her forehead and she wrapped her arms round her neck.
‘Daddy, can we have Pizza and the special salad you make?’
‘Anything for my princesses’ Joel stood and wrapped his thick arms round you both, before getting dinner ready for you all.
Sarah picked up your phone and scrolled through your playlist, picking the song you were humming as you drove earlier.
‘It’s so sweet, knowing that you love me. Though we don’t need to say it to eachother, sweet’
‘I love you’ you mouthed to Joel. Your eyes welled up as the song played and filled your heart with an overwhelming feeling of how happy you were.

Meiiiiiiii I have an idea for a blurb/fic if you're interested!! It's actually inspired by the dream I had last night :))) Remus and I (reader in this case) were best friends but Remus had a huuuge crush on them. One day they were at reader's place and reader asked him if he wanted to try some skincare stuff. He was kinda shy and insecure at first because of his scars but accepted anyway. He ended up laying in bed while reader rubbed some facecream on his cheeks and poor boy fell asleep </3 (please excuse my awful grammar :)))
"Eyes closed," You remind Remus, who's peeked a total of six times now. Really, he can't help himself. You look absolutely gorgeous hovering above him, your tongue poking out from between your lips as you concentrate on painting the gel mask over his features.
"You're sure this is okay for scar tissue?" He asks, his words muffled as he tries keeping his face still.
"Mhm," You hum absentmindedly, tracing the hinge of his jaw with the brush, layering green goop over his skin. "It'll make your skin nice and soft, Remus. It's not a peel-off, don't worry. You just let it sit there, then massage it in."
"I don't wanna get my hands sticky," He fights the urge to wrinkle his face into a grimace, and you line his nose with the stuff.
"I'll do it," You offer, trying to inject confidence into your tone that you don't really possess.
The timer that you set for the face mask to settle feels like a time bomb, ticking down the seconds until you have to - (get to?) - touch Remus's face. You've brushed a hair away from his eyes in passing, smeared chocolate off of his chin, but nothing like you're about to do.
When the alarm sounds you shut it off, tentatively reaching for his gooey face. Most of the paste has settled into his skin, and what you carefully rub away is more grainy, its moisture having done its job. He hums when you dig your thumbs into the apples of his cheeks, and his eyes flutter open once again to meet your own.
You don't need him to keep his eyes closed anymore; nothing's going to get in them. But you can't handle looking into his eyes while you caress his face, so you remind him, "No peeking."
"Sorry." He murmurs, lips brushing the heel of your hand as you rub the mask into his nose, "'Feels good."
"Just relax," You urge, praying he doesn't feel the heat radiating off of your cheeks, "I'll wash it off when you're done."
Despite your weight over his hips as you straddle his lap, he drifts off into sleep. You notice it when his breathing flattens out, his inhales aren't rugged or mismatched anymore. He's serene as you smooth the gel into his skin, and you almost feel bad when there's none left to massage onto his face.
You take a damp washcloth, clearing his skin of the leftover gunk. He doesn't wake, and you're sure it's only aiding his slumber to have a wet warmth patting down his face. You dismount awkwardly, not sure how to proceed now that he's not conscious to tell you what to do. You consider napping with him, but that feels far too intimate, but you don't want to leave without saying goodbye.
What you settle on is a bold kiss to his forehead, one that you lean down to peck against his freshly moisturized skin. That's all the courage you have, though, and once your lips drain it to his temple you bolt for the door.
You're going too fast to catch the faint smile that works its way across his no-longer-chapped lips, but it's the one Remus always has on his face at the sight of you, so you'll see it a thousand times more to come.

Masterlist part 2
❛ SHIDOU ༉‧₊
He softly grunts, pouting and furrowed his eyebrow. He standing there with his hair down, white singlet and shorts. He just woke up and you're not by his side already killin' his mood in the morning. But once he saw you tying your apron while heating the stove, his eyes immediately light up.
"Baby.." he whined and hugged you from behind, pressing some kisses on you neck.
You raise your hand and stroke his hair which is still down and haven't used any hair gel yet.
"Morning, ryusei" you said in low voice and smiling lazily.
Listening to your voice in the morning is so soft and relaxing, like a lullaby of sorts. Hearing it makes him want to sleep back again because it's so soothing.
"What do you making?" He asked still embraces you from behind.
"I was..about to make pancakes. Is that okay?"
He sigh.
"Baby.." he called and turned your body around. You're face to face with him now.
"Im in the mood for indomie"
His words make you surprised and shake your head in dissapointment.
"Ryusei, you're an athlete. We can't have a breakfast with instant noodle. You need more energy and carbohydrates"
"Noodles are carbohydrates too" he defends.
"Ryusei"
"But i don't have any practice today! So today it's lazy day. Please?" He begged giving you wide eyes.
You groaned.
"Fine, but with vagetables and corned"
He grinned and kissed your lips.
"Yes, ma'am"

"No, sae this is mine."
"Y/n, im the one who put it in the corner, this is mine" sae said in tired.

Sae doesn't really care about it back then, but ever since he dated you started to take interest on it.
"Then if it's yours, where is mine?!"
"Oh, i dont know! Maybe in you purse or something?!"
You grumble and took your purse, put your hand in and search it randomly without see it.
"Theres no way- oh it's here."
Sae looked at you annoyingly and raised one eyebrow.
"Well?"
"Oops, sorry, baby. Dont be mad?" You grinned at him making him rolling his eyes.
"You're so lucky" he said sarcastictly
❛ NAGI ༉‧₊˚
You woke up feeling heavy on your body, turns out it's your boyfriend sleeping peacefully on your chest, you gently kissed his forehead, can't believe of how peaceful he was. Softly push the hair out of his face. He looks so cute and angelic by the sun through your window shared apartment. You feel his warm breath and feel relaxed, he doesn't move much, his head just lays on your chest while you feel his arms wrapped around you, snoring lightly.
"Sei.." you whisper gently try to wake him up and poking his cheek. He opens his eyes and stares at you half sleep.
He hummed at you and go back resting his head on you again closing his eyes.
"Baby, c'mon wake up. You're so heavy.." you shake his body.
"Mmm... 5 more minutes..."
You suddenly have an uneasy feeling in your stomach.
"W-wait seriously, nagi wake up. I have to go to bathroom now" you try push him off your chest, but he just comes back and goes back to sleep.
It took some minute until he said.
"Wait. I need to go to bathroom too" he said it plainly and got up from your body and walk towards the bathroom.
"What?! No no no! I'll go in first, Seishiro!" You go after him. But it's too late, with his long legs he got in first. You groaned and keep knocking the door.
"Sei!! Hurry up!!"
On the other side he was daydreaming and sometimes closes his eyes again but jerks when 'it' starts to come out.
"Seiii don't sleep!!" you whined behind the door
"Almost done!"
❛ KENYU ༉‧₊˚
You are awakened by a sudden jump from an uneven road and the sound was loud enough to make you flinch, you rubbed your eyes slowly and looked out the window. Shows the dry and scorching street scenery out there. You then turned to your boyfriend, you were on a roadtrip to your destination, you could see his tired face who had driven all night.
Kenyu turn his head to look at you. You looked like a mess, you had bed hair, dark circles under your eyes, and yet you still looked cute.
He smiles and say "Mornin' sleepyhead, I hope you slept well 'cuz I've been driving all night."
"Morning kenyu..gh my back hurts..hey are you ok you? look tired, baby" you said and softly stroke his cheek.
The touch of your hand makes a tingle run through his body, and he subconsciously lean into your hand.
Kenyu didn't say anything for a while, but in the end, say "I'm fine", my voice is small, and his cheeks are slightly flushed. He glance at you.
"Where are we..? Are we still far?"
He glance at the map right beside him, "Mhmmm, we should be there in about, 5 hours? 4 hours and a half, maybe?"
"Why? tired?" He look at you out of his peripheral vision, his eyebrows furrowed a slight bit.
"I think you're the one who look tired than me, kenyu. Lets pull over in a couple miles, we can buy some breads and coffee." You said
He sighed. "Alright then."
He gently press on the brakes and pull over on the rest area. Then, kill the engine. "Okay, you go get the stuff, I'll stay here. And be careful not to lock yourself out, kay?"
You got out from the car and make your way to minimarket. You quickly buy everything you need and go back to the car. You can see kenyu lay back in the driver's seat with his eyes closed. You knocking the window.
"You're back, already?" He asked and open the door for you.
"I bought everything we need to eat. Switch with me, i'll drive"
"Oh? Okay.."
He was hesitant at first but still get off the car and trades seat with you. You take the wheel and began to start the car.
"Hey, can you please feed me while im driving?"
He smile. “Of course, no problem.”
He feeds you a croissant that you had bought. “Here. You want some coffee too?” he asked as he hand you the cardboard cup with coffee inside of it.
"Thank you, you eat some too, kenyu"
He nodded and starting to eat. After finish the quick breakfast, you continue your drive in silent.
"Kenyu..why dont you get some sleep. I'll be fine i promise"
"Alright alright. Thanks, love.."
He chuckle softly and smiled at you adorely. He pushed back the passenger seat, then lay down and relaxed his body, slowly closing his eyes.
You smile back at him and gave him a kiss on his forehead.
"Sleep well, baby"
Is the favoritsm too obvious?

Couldn’t get this idea out of my head, so here’s the Chain waking up and putting on makeup.
Time was woken, as usual, by the sounds of chaos.
“Give it back!”
“I just want to borrow it! Use one of your other four shades!”
“No, I need all of them! Give me back my eyeliner!”
Ooh. The “e” word. That was never good.
Time reluctantly sat up, rubbing his eyes. “What’s the problem, boys?”
Four ran over to him while pointing angrily at Wind, who was standing on top of a stump at the edge of camp. “Wind took my blue eyeliner and he won’t give it back!”
Wind stomped his foot. “I’m going to give it back, I just need to use it really quick!”
“No, you can’t! If you use just the blue it will run out faster than the others and I won’t be able to replace them all at the same time!”
“That’s a stupid reason!”
Time held up his hand before the argument could continue. “Calm down guys. Wind, give Four his eyeliner back, you can use mine.”
Wind pouted and marched over, reluctantly handing the eyeliner back to Four. “Yours won’t match my tunic though. If I wanted boring black I would have used my own.”
Time raised his eyebrow and reached into his makeup bag. “Who says I only have black?”
Multiple heads turned. Warriors spoke up from where he and Legend were hunched over Legend’s Mirror Shield. “But you only ever wear black!”
Time chuckled. “I only ever wear black now. The things I put on my face in my younger days… Besides, I have enough color as it is with these markings.”
He handed Wind the blue eyeliner he had bought in Zora’s Domain and started applying his own foundation. He was running a little low on the good stuff with the moisturizer, he would have to start using his backup bottle soon.
Wild burst out of the bushes, lips purple and parts of his hair dyed to match. “Guys! I found these great berries! Don’t eat them or you’ll throw up, but they stain really nicely!” He paused and looked down. “Aww, Hyrule… Green eyeshadow again? Mix it up a bit!”
Hyrule shrugged. “I stick to what I know. Pass me the medium brush, would ya?”
Wild passed him the brush and ran over to bug Twilight, who was quietly sharing a mirror with Sky as they both did their eyes. Time smiled. It was mornings like these that really made him glad for whatever twists of fate had gathered them.
He glanced around to make sure nobody was watching, then pulled out a tin of extra-firm chuchu jelly he had traded the Troupe Leader’s Mask for after asking the Happy Mask Salesman how he got his hair so shiny. He covertly used his fingers to comb it through his bangs before anyone could notice. How he got his bangs to stick up so much was a matter of several bets among the other Links, more so than his age. If the secret got out he would never see his prized hair gel again.
Finally, he used a couple pencils to trace around the Fierce Deity markings- he used to try to hide them, until he realized the potential in artistic asymmetry. Look complete, he gathered his equipment and stood up.
“Everyone ready to go?”
“No!” Came the call from Legend. “Warriors still has to curl his lashes.”
“Shut up! If yours were this long you would curl them too!”
“Hey, I’m not judging man. Everybody is jealous of your ridiculous lashes.”
Eventually everyone was as beautiful as they wanted to be, and the Chain set off down the road. Dink had a very hard time resisting the urge to ask for their skincare routine, but eventually his burning hatred for anything hero related won out and they fought to the death again.

Current Skincare Routine(s) 🎀
I have a morning skincare routine and two separate night routines depending on the day of the week and what skincare products I use. For example, on a night I use my AHA/BHA toner, I do NOT use my retinal eye cream. I'll also include some tips that work for me at the end!
My skin type leans more towards Oily-Combination!
🩷 Usual AM Routine -
If I washed my face and did skincare the night before, I simply splash my face with cold water and pat dry with a clean towel. If I did not do my skincare the night before, I wash my face with the Cerave Hydrating Face Wash. This is the only face wash my skin likes, but I'm still looking for alternatives for my night routine!
Once I dry my face, I use the IUNIK Centella Asiatica Calming Gel Cream moisturizer. My skin loves this moisturizer. It helps with my redness and makes my skin feel so nice.
After that's soaked into my skin a bit, I rub in a layer of the Beauty of Joseon Rice and Probiotics SPF 50 sunscreen. I put this on my face and neck!
I typically apply a 2nd layer after the first one drys for some extra protection if I know I'll be outside for a bit during the day.
Cocoa Butter Vaseline or Blistex on my lips for some nice, not chapped lips before I do makeup and/or apply lip gloss/lip stick.
My morning routine is super simple and quick because I usually just want to get it done and move on with my morning. I still enjoy it, tho, because it makes me feel accomplished early on in the day!
🩷 PM Routine: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat
I have an app that breaks down my skincare routine so I'm doing this off memory and what I remember from my typical routine for these days, but I do know these four days are different from the others for sure!
Occasionally, I will double cleanse and use my Hiemish All Clean Balm to remove sebum and oil impurities, but I'm not sure how I feel about this cleansing balm yet.
I wash my face with the Cerave Hydrating Face Wash using warm water and do a final rinse with cold water. Of course, I pat dry with a clean towel. I am looking for a water-based foam cleanser to follow the oil cleanse, so if you have any recommendations, please let me know!!
I then use two cotton balls to rub some Cosrx AHA/BHA Toner along my face to remove dead skin and then I spray some of the toner on my face, patting it in gently with my hands. I have to be careful with my eyes cause it will burn them if I get it in my eyes.
While the toner is still a bit damp on my face, I pump some Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence onto my cheeks, forehead, chin, and a little on my nose and pat it in gently.
I let the essence dry a little bit and then apply some Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid serum while it's still damp. I pat this in as well, as it's better for absorption than just rubbing it in. I used to use the ordinary brand one, but omg, the Good Molecules one is so much better, in my opinion!!
I need to buy a new one, but occasionally, I'll use a niacinimide serum on my forehead, nose, above my upper lip, and chin as those are my more oily areas. I used to use The Oridnary Niacinimide, but I want to try to Good Molecules niacinimide.
Next, I use my Cerave Eye Repair Cream (the blue one) under my eyes for extra hydration while the hyaluronic acid absorbs into my skin.
Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll use either the Cosrx All in One Snail Cream or the Etude Soon Jung 2x Barrier Moisturizer to lock in everything. I usually choose the Cosrx Cream as I prefer it, but it again depends on how I feel!
A little bit of vaseline to end the routine so I can wake up with soft lips!
I feel like this night routine is more complex then my other night routine but it always depends on the products I use.
🩷 PM Routine: Tues, Thurs, Sun
I do not oil cleanse and instead just wash my face with the Cerave Hydrating Face Wash, patting dry after rinsing with cold water.
I then use some of the I'm From Rice Toner, patting it into my face. I layer this one on twice, being careful with my eyes cause this one will burn them like crazy.
I follow up with the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence, patting it into my skin.
Next is the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid serum.
After the serum dries down, i apply a quarter to a half pump of the Beauty of Joseon Retinal Eye Cream underneath one eye and another quarter to a half pump to the other undereye areas, patting in gently while avoiding my actual eyes. If there's any leftover I gently pat into the surrounding areas. I'm not sure how my whole face will react to retinal so I'm careful with this one.
I then rub some Cosrx All in One Snail Cream over my face to lock in all the other skincare products and moisture.
A little bit of vaseline to the lips to ensure smooth, soft lips when I wake up!
I haven't noticed a difference with the retinal yet due to my inconsistent use but I do like how it feels the first few times after I use it, so I plan on continuing it.
Now, for some Tips:
Pat your face dry, never rub it with a towel. Rubbing it causes friction and pulling on the skin while patting is way more gentle on the face.
Initially wash with warm water but always final rinse with cold water. A while back I heard this helps with your pores, so I've just always done it and it makes my skin feel nice, especially in the morning!
Try to use either paper towels or a departed face towel (not your body towel) when drying your face. I myself use a separate towel for my face that I wash 2x a week and my skin doesn't typically break out.
Brush your teeth before applying skincare! This way, you don't disrupt the skincare surrounding your lips when brushing your teeth, flossing, or using mouthwash.
Always wash your hands before starting your skincare routine to minimize bacteria getting on your face.
Always try to patch test and figure out what works best for your skin, never just use what's viral or popular because not everyone has the same skin type. I feel lucky that my skin typically likes most products, but my skin is very picky with cleansers. I haven't found a cleanser besides the hydrating cerave one that my face likes. (The B.Lab Matcha Foaming Cleanser was so stripping my face turned red and peeled in certain places, a definite no go for me.)
Korean/Asian based skincare typically focuses more on hydrating the skin, while Western skincare tends to focus more on drying out the acne. I personally, as you have read, love Asian based skincare. Most of what I use is Korean skincare, and I'm still looking to expand my skincare collection because I love it so much!
Do your research! When I find a product that interests me, I watch pintetest and tiktok reviews, read the reviews on the actual shopping app, and read as much as I can on the Asian Beauty subreddit before making a purchase. I also like to read ingredient lists, application directions, and details on products, and I always Google what products can and can not mix together. it's helped me determine what to buy and what not to buy, and so far, my skin has loved it!!
Try to wash your pillowcases at least once a week and avoid touching your face with dirty or greasy hands. Also sanitize/disinfect your handheld devices/audio devices (cellphones, iPad or tablets, headphones, etc), eye glasses/sunglasses, and really just keep anything that touches your face as clean as possible. All of this helps to minimize how much bacteria and dirt make contact with your face.
Research different things that may help with improving skin. Ice rolling, gua sha, silk pillowcases, physical exfoliates, face masks, etc. Look into stuff that might help your skin or make a difference in your skins appearance and health.
This should've been higher up, my apologies, but drink your water!! Staying hydrated on the inside definitely shows on the outside, and being hydrated is an essential component to health overall!!
Wear your sunscreen!! Apply it in multiple layers to both your face AND NECK, as both are exposed to the sun for long periods of time and can suffer from prolonged exposure without proper sunscreen application. Along that line, don't be afraid to apply skincare to your neck!! I've seen photos of older individuals who took care of their face and not their neck and the difference between face and neck skin was astounding, so I personally like to rub excess hydrating serums and moisturizers into my neck as well.
Don't pop your acne! If you do get pimples, which I used to get all the time tho it's slowed down a lot, use a warm/hot washcloth or something similar to apply heat to the pimple. This will help it pop naturally, although popping your pimples may allow for the oil, dirt, and sebum to spread to other areas which may cause more acne. Popping acne with your hands may also cause scarring.
Love your skin!!! Skincare results take time, and there's going to be ups and downs while trying to find what products work for you, so try to love your skin throughout the process. Acne and other skin issues are caused by things sometimes out of our control, such as genetics, hormones, climate and weather, etc, so try not to be too hard on yourself!! Things will improve, and if they don't, after some time, seek out a reputable and trustworthy professional for an opinion and better direction on how to care for your skin!!
Wishing you all the best!! Does anyone have any experience with ice rolling or Gua sha being extremely effective? I haven't tried either, but I am looking into it as I feel like ice rolling, especially, might be beneficial, but I'm unsure. And can anyone recommend any Asian beauty water-based foam cleanser that I can use after an oil cleanse? I fear that my cerave isn't enough to fully remove all the cleansing balm residue from my face, which might end up being detrimental to my skin health.
Also, let me know your skin type and products or tools you recommend, as I am always open to including new things into my routine!! I love doing things for myself so expanding my skincare routine is definitely an interest of mine!
Til next time, lovelies 🩷

Achieving a Radiant Complexion: A Simple Nighttime Skincare Regimen
In our fast-paced lives, it's easy to overlook the significance of a proper nighttime skincare routine. However, dedicating a few minutes before bedtime can make a world of difference in achieving healthy, glowing skin. Let's delve into a straightforward nighttime skincare routine that will leave you feeling pampered and your skin revitalized!
Cleanse: The First Step to Radiance
The foundation of any effective skincare routine is cleansing. Before heading to bed, ensure your face is free from makeup, dirt, and pollutants that have accumulated throughout the day. Opt for a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type. Gently massage it onto your face using circular motions, focusing on areas prone to oiliness or dryness. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to preserve essential oils.
Recommendations:
Aprilskin Carrotene IPMP™ Hydromelt Cleansing Balm
JUNO & Co. Clean 10 Cleansing Balm 10 Ingredients Makeup Remover
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Facial Cleanser
Exfoliate: Unveiling a Fresh Canvas
Exfoliation is essential but limit it to 2-3 times a week to avoid overdoing it. A gentle exfoliant will remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and enhance the absorption of your skincare products. Look for products with natural exfoliants like jojoba beads or alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs).
Recommendations:
SkinMedica AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - Exfoliator
Paulas Choice--SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA Liquid Salicylic Acid Exfoliant
Tone: Balancing the pH
After cleansing and exfoliating, toning comes into play. A toner helps balance the skin's pH levels and prepares it for better absorption of serums and moisturizers. Choose alcohol-free toners with soothing ingredients like rose water, chamomile, or witch hazel.
Recommendations:
PCA SKIN Nutrient Face Toner
THAYERS Alcohol-Free, Hydrating Lavender Witch Hazel Facial Toner
SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner
Serum: Targeted Treatments
Serums are packed with potent ingredients that target specific skin concerns. Whether it's fine lines, hyperpigmentation, or dehydration, serums offer a concentrated boost of active ingredients. Gently apply a small amount to your face and neck, letting the serum work its magic overnight.
Recommendations:
COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence
Paula's Choice CLINICAL 1% Retinol Treatment
Derma ProGenix Advanced Anti-Aging Skin Care Serum
Eye Cream: Soothing and Refreshing
The delicate skin around the eyes requires special attention. Apply a nourishing eye cream to help reduce puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines. Use your ring finger to dab a pea-sized amount around the orbital bone gently.
Recommendations:
IMAGE Skincare, VITAL C Hydrating Eye Recovery Gel
Dongyu 5% Caffeine Eye Serum and Under Eye Roller Cream
QOI Dark Circle Eliminator
Hydrate: Locking in Moisture
Moisturizing is crucial to keep your skin hydrated and plump. Select a night cream or moisturizer that suits your skin type, whether it's gel-based for oily skin or thicker for dry skin. Massage it into your skin using upward strokes to promote better circulation.
Recommendations:
COSRX Snail Mucin 92% Moisturizer
Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance
PCA SKIN Collagen Hydrator Night Cream
Lip Care: Soft and Supple Lips
Don't forget to show your lips some love! Apply a nourishing lip balm or treatment to keep your lips soft and supple throughout the night.
Recommendation:
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
Overnight Mask or Face Oil: Nourishing and Repairing
For an extra boost of nourishment, consider using an overnight mask or face oil. These products provide intense hydration and repair your skin as you sleep, waking up to a fresh and revitalized complexion.
Hands and Feet: Extending Skincare Love
If you have a few extra minutes, pamper your hands and feet as well. Moisturize them with a rich cream and put on cotton gloves and socks before sleep, allowing the products to deeply penetrate and hydrate the skin.
Recommendations:
Paula's Choice Radiance Renewal Night Mask
LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask
Beauty Sleep: The Ultimate Secret
Finally, the most essential part of any nighttime skincare routine is a good night's sleep. Aim for 7-9 hours of uninterrupted rest to give your skin and body the time they need to repair and rejuvenate.
Remember, Consistency is Key!
The true magic of any skincare routine lies in consistency. Don't expect overnight miracles; instead, practice this easy nighttime skincare routine regularly and patiently, and you'll soon notice a radiant and healthy complexion that makes the effort entirely worthwhile.
So, go ahead and treat yourself to a little nightly skincare ritual – your skin will thank you for it!

👉🏻👈🏻 Can you go into your skin care routine a little bit as in what order you apply things and how long in between applying products (like is it immediately or do you wait 5 mins to let the first stuff dry/sink in before the next product)?
I get so lost with skin care that I get discouraged and then dont so anything.
oh god this is probably gonna be really long but,
so for the pm- Basically with most of the humectant (moisturizing stuff) you wanna apply that as soon as you get out of the shower and in quick succession so that any water and moisture can get absorbed into the skin and not just evaporate. assuming you shower at night like a sane person this should be your first step when you get out of the shower, you can not wipe off your face with your towl to keep your face damp for longer, i usually don't even wait to put on my pj's before i sit infront of my little skincare stack and start to slap stuff on my face.
the first batch is stuff like the cosrx snail mucin, cosrx glactanomicies ferment filtrate and hyaluronic acid (you'll see a lot of people tell you that 'the ordinary' one is bad but tbh it's fine and cheap, but a good option is also the one from good molecules, neither of them are more than 10$).
if you do not shower at night or wait to long and your skin gets dry, then you want to preface all of your skincare with some sort of toner; the lineage cream skin is absolutely amazing- especially if you have redness and inflamed skin- it is a little bit pricey but tbh most toners run in the 15-30 per 60oz range. these can last you up to 6 months. my leniege one was actually a gift from a follower for my last birthday and i've been using it very sparingly. i immediately follow it up with snail mucin, hyaluronic acid, or something light and hydrating, this is the first barrier of skincare that kind of cushions your skin if you plan on using an actives.
You want to sandwich all of the stuff that dries out your skin from acne, takes care of your fine lines and wrinkles, or chemically exfoliates your skin between your serum and cream. now is when you get into the waiting- when you start to apply your actives.
Actives are stuff like retinols/retinoids, aha's or lactic acids, bha's or glycolic acids, salicylic acids, and niacinamide. these are things that can damage your skin if improperly used. for me- aha's feel a little less damaging than glycolic acids. aha's and bha's are generally a once a week thing especially if you're just starting out. niacinamide help with sebum and clogged pores as well as pigmentation issues, salicilic acid is also something that kinda helps keep your skin sterile from acne causing bacteria, if you have sensitive skin introduce these very very slowly, start with niacinamide and work your way up. i apply niacinimide almost every day and everything else as needed.
next you have your eye cream- it can change based on what you want to solve, if you have fat loss around your eye (ie deep set eyebags like mine) you want to use stuff thats going to thicken the skin faster- staying away from stuff that decreases blood flow like caffeine, if you have dark circles- you want stuff that has brightening agents. if you have fine lines- then eye patches (mini eye face masks basically) and a super hydrating undereye cream will help. i tend to lean for the hydrating stuff. because i have dry under eyes, fine lines, and fat loss.
the ones ive tried are the cosrx snail peptide eye cream, the beauty of jeoseon ginsent and retinal eye cream, the mizon snail repair eye cream, the purito green level eye cream, the haru haru wonder cream the inky list retinol and caffine eye creams, the good molecules, yerba mate wake up eye gel, and the milky dress wrinkle and whitening eye cream. the ONLY ONES that i saw ANY difference with are the good molecules, milky dress, and haruharu, but the one from good molecules is adequate under makeup and the best by far and cheapest.
fat loss is one of the main reasons why you want to stay away from things like lash growth serums, there are some that claim to not cause fat loss, but tbh, seeing as the only way to fix it is via invasive cosmetic surgery- i wouldn't risk it. it's not worth it.
Next i go in with a cream. and then acne gel over top and then you're done!
So basically
shower
Toner,
hyaluronic acid/serum/hydrator
wait until skincare has absorbed,
Apply actives if you desire actives to fix issues, wait inbetween each application so that the skincare has time to sit and soak in,
You can apply your eye cream at the same time as these steps, because usually actives should not go around the eye area.
Cream, no need to wait
Acne treatment
hope that helps! i have to start my workout now~~~ good luck!

GLOW UP GUIDE FOR 2025⠀⠀
READ: On average, it takes more than 2 months before a new behavior becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact. And considering that 2025 is precisely these many days away, why not start with our glow up plan already?
Physical Glow Up-
BODY
— 5-10K steps a day.
— 7-8 hours of sleep.
— workout everyday for 1 hr atleast - yoga/stretching/pilates/cardio. a workout may take one hour, but your mood will be boosted for the next 12 hours.
— oil and cut your nails 1x a week, never remove the cuticles.

Go From Wrinkled to Youthful Skin With The Best Anti-Aging Skin Care Routine
There is no escape from aging. Even your favourite celebs, who have access to the best anti-aging regimen and procedures in the world, eventually show their age! And, while there is no way to completely stop the process, there are certainly ways to slow it down and maintain a youthful appearance for as long as possible.
Yes, wrinkles form and skin become dryer, but it doesn’t have to be the end of the world. With a solid skincare routine in place, you can defy Father Time and keep your skin radiant AF. So, if you're looking for the best anti-aging skin care routine, keep reading!
What Causes Aging?
As we get older, our skin begins to display signals of wear and tear. Wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots can make us look older than we really are. But why does that happen?
There are many external factors that can cause premature aging, including sun damage, smoking, pollution, and an unhealthy diet. But the main cause of aging skin is actually an internal one: the natural process of cell turnover.
Every day, our skin cells go through a cycle of growth and repair. As we get older, this process starts to slow down, and our skin cells don't regenerate as quickly. Moreover, our skin also lowers collagen and elastin production, and the fatty tissues below our skin decrease in size and volume. All this leads to the loss of our ability to retain moisture and the formation of those nasty visible signs of aging.
Best Skincare for Aging Skin: Your New Secret Weapon
When it comes to skincare, there are a lot of products and routines that promise to keep your skin looking young and glowing. But with all of the different options available, how do you know which ones are really effective?
Here are our secret anti-aging routines that will work wonders for you. So grab a pen and get ready to smooth those wrinkles!
A.M. Anti-Aging Skincare Routine
So, you wake up, look in the mirror, see those wrinkles and fine lines looking back at you, and you want to do something about it, right? This is how your A.M. anti-aging routine should look like:
1. Water-Based Cleanser
A water-based cleanser is crucial for anyone over the age of 30. This type of gentle cleanser will help to remove any dirt, oil, or sweat that has built up on your skin overnight. It helps to prep your skin for the rest of your anti-aging routine by getting rid of dead skin cells. Using these anti-aging products helps to remove impurities and keep your face moisturized, which is important because dehydration can lead to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.
2. Toner
A toner helps to restore the skin's pH balance, which is essential for keeping the skin healthy and preventing wrinkles. It also helps to remove any remaining dirt that may be clogging pores, preparing your complexion for the next step.
3. Antioxidant Serum
Antioxidant serums, like l-ascorbic acid (aka vitamin C), moisturize and help protect the skin from environmental stressors by neutralizing free radicals before they can cause damage. Additionally, these anti-aging ingredients can help brighten the skin and give it a more youthful appearance.
4. Spot Treatment
Whether it's a wrinkle cream, eye cream, or salicylic acid to treat acne, apply your chosen spot treatment to address specific skin concerns.
5. Moisturizer
Moisturizers help to keep the skin hydrated and plump, which can reduce wrinkles and the appearance of aging skin. Using a moisturizer with SPF during the day can provide sun protection. Opt for creams or gels with powerful ingredients like niacinamide, vitamin C, or hyaluronic acid.
6. Facial Oil (Optional)
Including a facial oil can be beneficial, especially if you have dry skin. Jojoba oil is very similar to our own natural sebum, making it easily absorbed. It's also packed with antioxidants and vitamins that help protect the skin from damage.
7. Sunscreen
No matter your skin type, finish your morning skin care routine by applying a pea-sized amount of sunscreen on your face. Important: you can skip this step if your moisturizer has SPF.
P.M. Anti-Aging Skincare Routine
The night has come, and it is time to start layering your beauty products on your face. But what’s the correct order? Let us enlighten you:
1. Makeup Remover
Whether you choose micellar water or wipes, makeup remover is a must! Just always remember to do it gently without tearing your skin too much.
2. Double Cleansing
Double cleansing means using an oil-based cleanser first to break down makeup, sunscreen, and dirt, followed by a water-based cleanser to remove any lingering impurities. This ensures your skin is truly clean, which is key to preventing premature aging.
3. Exfoliating (Not Always)
You can choose physical exfoliants, like sugar scrubs, or chemical exfoliants with active ingredients like lactic acid or glycolic acid. Important: only perform this step once or twice a week, as over-exfoliating can cause irritation and dry out your skin.
4. Toner
You can use the same toner as your morning routine! Just soak a cotton pad in it and tap it gently on your skin.
5. Retinol
Retinol should only be used at night because it can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. It helps to increase collagen production and cell turnover, promoting the growth of new, healthy cells.
6. Serum
Serums loaded with active ingredients like hyaluronic acid or niacinamide penetrate deep into the skin, making them effective at night when your skin is more receptive to repair and regeneration.
7. Face Masks
Apply rinse-off masks before serums and leave-on masks at the end of your routine. Choose masks with hyaluronic acid or retinoids.
8. Spot Treatments and Eye Creams
Use eye cream to smooth signs of crow’s feet and hydrate the area, and spot treatments to heal acne and other concerns.
9. Moisturizer
Opt for a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, or any other antioxidant to make your skin feel soft, young, and healthy.

Blogmas Beauty favourites of 2023: Skincare
Hi guys!
Welcome to my Beauty Favourites of 2023 countdown! Each day leading up to New Years Eve I will be sharing with my beauty favourites of the year. This will be a mix of new products and products I have used throughout the year. Today like any makeup routine we are starting with Skincare so enjoy my top 5 skincare products of 2023. Though I have LOVED trying all types of skincare brands the three brands I have used the most this year are Clinique, Charlotte Tilbury & Olay.
Starting off with Clinique, the first product I have been obsessed with this year is the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3. This lotion has been a great addition to my skincare routine because all you do is apply the lotion to a cotton pad and swipe it across your face. It removes dead skin cells and excess oils from your complexion. Since I have oily skin this step has made a massive difference in my routine. The second product I have loved and used from Clinique for many years now is the Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. This product is amazing if you want a product that speeds up your evening routine, this cleansing balm melts off your makeup by turning into a liquid once rubbed into the skin. Once you use the cleansing balm on your face and melted your makeup away, you are left feeling so fresh and clean and it's great if you have sensitive skin and don't like to use harsh makeup removers.
Next up we have Charlotte Tilbury! We all knew this brand would be in any countdown I do let's be honest. Out of all the brands I shop I by far have the most Charlotte Tilbury beauty products in my collection. This year Charlotte launched a brand new skincare product called Magic Water Cream. Naturally we all were obsessed with this new gel- water based formula because we were all so used to her rich thick cream formula. Unlike the original cream, this new formula is fragrance and SPF free and is designed for more oily/ combo skin types. I love using this water cream because it gives your skin instant hydration and a gorgeous glow. The other product I have been loving and using for a long time now is the Cryo-Recovery Eye Serum. This eye serum is the best way to wake up in the morning because it has a metal applicator that spreads the product under your eyes. This serum can make me look like I have slept for 5 years just using this once, it's amazing!
Now we have Olay Skincare. This year I have started looking into more skincare brands that people recommend and Olay kept popping up on my radar. Shopping the brand I came across the Olay Regenerist Whip Day Face Cream. I love how this cream feels on my face because it is so cold and refreshing when you apply the cream, it's so refreshing. The cream leaves your skin with a smooth, matte finish that makes applying your makeup even easier. I have also been testing out night creams, face masks but at the moment I would say the Whip Cream is by far the best.
Hope you enjoyed my skincare countdown today and I will see you tomorrow with my next beauty 2023 countdown. As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lot’s of love

GLOW UP GUIDE FOR 2025
READ: On average, it takes more than 2 months before a new behavior becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact.
— oil and cut your nails 1x a week, never remove the cuticles.
