Well! Guess that duology wasn't as obscure as I thought! Never actually met other people who had read them, lmao.

Full disclosure that I haven't read those books in like... good lord, 15+ years at this point. I do remember it having some super uncomfortable plot points, especially when it comes to Eona's romantic relationships.

I would explicitly tell any minors 16 and below to steer clear of Eon/Eona, for that reason. There are some VERY heavily sexual topics in this book, along with extreme ableism and misogyny. A baby is also killed on screen as part of a coup.

(Also prepare for very messy 2000s depictions of queerness. And an ending that is very abrupt.)

#a friend of mine #i met at a scout troop 7 years ago now #she was also homeschooled and didnt have many friends #i went up to her and befriended her #after a little while i invited her to my homeschool co-op #then my summer camp #we are good friends now and hang out regularly #this week at summer camp she said something that blew my mind #she told me that she didnt have any friends before meeting me #she said she had nothing to do and no one to talk to #but my inviting her to my co-op and camp and making sure she met people shed get along with there and scouting #gave her friends. and a life.#its crazy how much i impacted her life. without even realizing it.#i dont know why but that hit me deeply #i changed someone's life #without even trying #anyway i cant stop thinking about that now #three pigeons in a trench coat

#hasegawa hell #this one's on a letter from my bank because zenkichi stocks are rising ! (Lying)#ok i know i draw his coat pretty off model (constantly making its shoulders Bigger and Pointier)#but i like it that wayyyy. so much of what i love about the wolf outfit is the way it drastically alters zenkichi's usual silhouette #plus it is very very funny that he gets an artificial hourglass shape from it. of course i'm gonna exaggerate it.#another thing i love dearly is the way personas and their users look visually similar #(admittedly more aptly seen in the vanilla cast's designs)#and like that valjean's mirrored in the silhouette #the only other thing i see valjean in is the movement of the arm tassels #which are vaguely reminiscent of the arm chains #but that one's really a stretch #um. if orgot what i was talking about. why did i type so much #point is wolf's outfit is very cool and i could talk about it all day.

#so basically #at summer camp whilst i was counseling i saw two things #there was one counselor who we'll call “sarah” and she had only one camper bc reasons well call her camper “suzie”#now suzie is an INCREDIBLY good kid. shes super smart and kind and shes sincerely smiling almost all the time #shes super well-behaved and polite and does everything shes asked and THEN some #and sarah LOVES her. she is CONSTANTLY (understandably) bragging about how cool her camper is and how happy she is to have her as a camper #on the other side of that weve got “terry” and his camper “johnny”#now johnny is ALSO a really smart and nice and polite and cool kid #and terry is ALSO super proud of his camper and brags about him loads and is so happy to have him as a camper #there is one key difference though #sarah always bragged to suzie's face. she told suzie how cool she was how smart she was and how nice she was #sarah would be standing right next to suzie and loudly telling her friends how lucky she was to have suzie as a camper #terry on the other hand bragged behind johnny's back #johnny had NO WAY of knowing how happy terry was to have him as a camper or how smart he was or how cool he was #one time i watched terry talk to johnny and then while johnny was still there whisper to another counselor about how smart he was #so yeah #idk why that is #stick stories #three pigeons in a trench coat

Sometimes I feel like I have to reassure myself that I actually do know what I'm doing, I'm just sometimes trying something new, am just out of practice, or made a probably admittedly dumb mistake.

Imposter syndrome hits hard when things don't work right but the fact that I'm experienced enough to know what went wrong to fix it in the future or know a way to fix that mistake should also mean something.

#hey guys i goofed again #just finished that blank mold by accidentally cutting into one of the d20s #but i think I'll be able to fix it #if not at least i made it with 2 in it #anyway i was cutting a notch to make it easier to know what orientation the lid goes on because the mold is just a big rectangle #but when i went back to clean it up i realized i had messed up #it's a good thing it was a clean cut because once i got over the stupidity of what i just did i figured out which master was in that one #slid it back in and then mixed up a little bit of silicone and used that to essentially seal it back #I'm hoping it works #usually with silicone you have to be careful when making multiple parts to make sure you cover everything because otherwise it bonds #and it's hard to pull apart without ripping #so using it to glue itself back together makes sense and i had to put the master back in so i hopefully dont ruin it too much #i dont think I'll be able to do powder coated blanks in that mold without that showing but i dont use that effect often anyway #it really shows texture which is why it would be an issue #but anything else would be fine #so as long as the seal holds which i believe it should #everything should be fine #and it's freshly cured and clean so i dont see a reason why it wouldnt bond #anyway I'm having a tough time because it feels like anything i have to talk about is just fails recently
