So the GIW is the Ghost Investigation Ward and not the Ghost Extermination Ward, yes? Hear me out, hm? 

See, it’s really hard to study ecto-entities when they’re going all over in and out of the world. Really hard! And of course they aren’t like, sentient, studies for years before the boom in this one town showed this! But, the overgrown not-birds (they’re still debating that) are really hard to watch doing their natural thing when they naturally mimic people around them! 

So! They got this idea, right? Their operatives can capture some! They’ve even made enclosures based off of what they currently know! It’s like containing crows, down to the mimicry & puzzle solving just er, with opposable thumbs and intangibility. 

And they don’t succeed first tries of course (Wow were said operatives frustrated and maybe cursing a bit that might be a bit violently) but then they get some assistance from the Fentons! Trying to hit an ecto-entities’ wings in a way to not permanently injure them is hard, but the new net canons that a ghost can’t pass through? Perfect! 

They have so many specimens now! They even released a few that were very much uncontainable- they rely on technology a bit and that entity kept unlocking all the doors. So catch and release with that one it is!  

They even managed to catch the white-haired ghost! In double! Which might not seem that important, but! As they realize during intake & initial examination (wow are they bitey) the two appear to be young! Something their ectobiologists only theorized about but oh are they excited! (Now if only the two would stop trying to escape their enclosure that’d be swell! Look, toys! Foo- oh dear God that baby ecto-entity is melting- Oh few, okay note taken to raise ambient ecto levels in that room dear god that was horrifying and stressful. … Maybe get some feelers out for feeding unstable energy entities…)

My main hcs about copperhead is that he's 100% aromantic, but also faces inhuman levels of depersonalization that he just thinks makes him an edgy and cool criminal. It doesn't lol

OH I'M STUPID HOLD ON

📼: a lot of non-humans. lol The majority are probably vampires but there are also a lot of chaotics, which are a inworld species of elemental beings that are kinda like Grisha or Benders. As a human, I'm in the minority.

🌱: Oh we got hella inworld. Like I said, we got a lot of inhumans like vampires and chaotics, but there are also gods, wolf shifters, angels, demons. Tbh it isn't unlike the Shadowhunterverse, only Chaotics ain't trying to be cops. Not too far from the Grishaverse either. And there are grittier elements like drug rings and such. There are also time pockets that magic doesn't work in? I live in 1920's Chicago because the 1920's is when my two dads, Jack and Jasper, were alive. Anyone who visits me gets nerf'd and on my human level, which is why I like it. It's stupidly in-depth. Like my job in the weird drug-ring kinda deal is making sure trades between time zones stay fair with inflation and all and that there's no chronological gentrification. (Seriously lol) We all have different friend circles and family in there. The ones that don't front don't want to because normally their lives over here are a lot more cinematic lol. But it can be Too real. Physical sensations are the same. I've broken bones that took weeks to heal, I've gotten hella sick over there, there's drama and friendship implosions and budgeting and math. There are TAXES over there rip. The inworld ig wanted to make everything way realistic so we thought it was another dimension as opposed to a fantasy land.

⚡️: switching is kind of summoning someone else, kinda switching my own attention. Like what I'm gonna do here in a bit is go through everyone's music to see who's biting (I'm thinking Xhax or Xanthe) and text them. I'll feel way spacy, I'll feel them around and, suddenly, I'm scrolling on my phone like normal or at Sound's house or something. Or my newsfeed turned into a 20's newspaper lmao. It takes a couple hours, but it depends on who's busy and such.

I just don't understand WHY all videos on DID has to be educational. Most of mine just weren't. Especially on tiktok, my videos were for fun. Lets separate entertainment from education and understand that not everything has to be about teaching other people.

Like, why are systems set to a higher standard than singlets in terms of this? Why are we being paraded around as the end all be all of our disorder??

It's just frustrating that we're not allowed to be normal people, but we have to be educators, teachers, we have to be accurate and concise and right all the time.

It's just not fair. Unless a video directly states that it's for educational purposes, don't assume it's going to be the most reliable source of information. When especially that person has unreliable memory/inconsistent identity disorder.

Also use common sense. Use contextual clues. Have some critical thinking skills. Not every video about DID that is not educational is inherently wrong or sensationalizing. It's likely they just thought of a fun thing and wanted to share it with other people.
