this wip is an absolute beloved of mine and is based on an rp between me and my bestie Ceejay. i will be introducing all of the OCs but will specify which ones are theirs bc they make some damn good characters that i cannot take credit for lol

As Said the Whore of Babylon (frequently abbreviated as AStWoB) is an American metalcore band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2019 by Rhiannon Wolfe and Jezebel Eiden-Desmond, its current lineup comprises Wolfe, Reed Meadows, Joel Talley, Poetry Dorian, and Corbin Kreery.

Omen Brokebone is one year out of a hellish marriage when she's contacted by Selene Mabins - talent manager for a band called As Said the Whore of Babylon - with an invitation to join their crew as a makeup artist. Working to make a new life and a name for herself, Omen accepts. She doesn't expect to meet Reed Meadows again. And she certainly doesn't expect to fall in love with him and his bandmates.

• Omen Brokebone (she/he/they) •/ Not a Babylon (yet), but as cherished as any of their crew members - and then some, as you'll learn. A self-taught makeup artist and a childhood friend of Reed's. Belongs to Ceejay.

• Rhiannon Wolfe (she/her) but you really should just call her Wolfe •/ The lead vocalist. First rose to fame with her last band at only 18 years old due to her remarkable skill.

• Reed Meadows (he/him) •/ The lead guitarist. Has never been in a band before AStWoB but still took to it like a fish to water. A childhood friend of Omen's, though he hasn't spoken to her in 8 years.

• Joel Talley (he/him) •/ The drummer, though he's skilled with guitar, bass, piano, keyboard, and vocals. Also a songwriter and self-taught producer. He is much more humble about his skills than one would assume.

• Poetry Dorian (he/she), or Poe •/ The bassist. Youngest child of a beautiful and famous Italian actress, but much less conventional than his family. Autistic and goth.

• Jessamine Meadows (she/her) •/ Reed's 11-year-old daughter, born when he was just 16. Feisty and a little mean, but adores her father and has easily accepted the rest of the band as her parents.

• Daxton "Dax" Coffin (he/him) •/ Wolfe's 9-year-old son, born when she was 17. Raised by his father. Has not met the band and only sees Wolfe a few times a month.

• Villanelle Dorian (she/her) •/ The 5-year-old daughter of Poe and her ex-wife, Aamirah Akmal Dorian. Currently living in Washington with her mother, but is due to live with Poe soon.

• Jezebel Eiden-Desmond (she/her) •/ Former guitarist for AStWoB (now the vocalist of The Womb That Devours) and best friend of Corbin. Considers the band to be her unbiological family. Randal's soulmate, though she doesn't know that yet.

• Randal Denvers (he/him) •/ Omen's cousin. A mechanic and for-fun bassist. Jezebel's soulmate, though he doesn't know that yet. Belongs to Ceejay.

Dandy:

"What are you two traitors doing?" I grumble still quite sore from m exchange with Francine. Eiden was hunched over Ambrose in the corner and I glare at them in indignation

(Eiden): "Jezebel broke all his bones..." He looked at me as if that was an excuse.

"Good... "

Ambrose laughs at my reaction in a gassy like sound as snaping/bending and twisting could be heard as he was putting himself together again.

"The crazy lass had a point what is the point of us?? Well me.. I know your point.."

(Eiden): "Fuck off Dandy...lifes to agonizingly long to keep questioning it.."

I bared my teeth at him hostility, no point in trying with him hes the witch's bitch all the way now.

Then koi fish started to drop in out of nowhere.

I twitched awkwardly at the flailing creatures gasping for breath all around me.

"What is this!!"

(Salome): "Yes yes!!" She ran out collecting them in excite. "He must have taken the koi pond..look look!!"

I quickly duck down another hall at the squeal the others made at the discovery of the rare fish. Their glee would only make them more ...playful..

I growl to myself before Francis sends a message out.

"Oh goodie..."

I make a face and just expect it to be about the koi pound..what else could possibly be the surprise??

After Francine and Eiden demons left Midas still screaming his head off making himself a sitting duck for the Old Ones who were just awaken and started feeding on everything not taking cover. He got mauled by a grotesque still forming from a skeleton state naked/starved bat man and flown a few miles deeper into the transforming complex. At that moment Somber was taking Joseph’s OLDER sister Raquel deeper inside to test if she had the alphaship since ‘Joseph died’ no one seemed to have it and they both questioned who was it. Raquel saw Midas in the emancipated arms of the shivered up creepy batman.

(Raquel): “STOP IT! STOP It NOW AND LET HIM GO!!”

Somber picks up on it and adds in without much emotion to the situation.

(Somber): “Oh yes this is how we shall test it!” He waits a moment and Midas isn’t dropped he chimes in monatonely.

(Somber): “Drop him! Drop that scrawny catfish Now. We have BIGGER foes to fest upon”

*gaggles blood unimpressed at the effect value here*

(Raquel): “Rigel must have it??”

(Somber): “They they would flock to him! Perhaps Orion changed the curse to if anything happened to him no one has it..just to fuck us all!”

(Raquel): “He wouldn’t! M..a..maybe he isnt..dead??!”

(Somber): “Well as long as THEY think he is…this is go-”

Lucky for me their conversation did capture the attention of the one feeding on me and quite a few others that swoop down on them. Somber saw it coming a bit faster and got away as they seemed more impressed with Raquel.

*blacks out from blood lost*

*** Midas wakes up thinking for a moment he was finely dead  in a black void of nothingness. HE WISHES. The blackness encasing him was dirt.   I gag out of reflex and get a mouthful of it. Its then I learn that its not just dirt but had some sort of worms or bugs living inside it. I completely panic trying to get out of it and trash around. *coffin tips over covering me with all the dirt and the bloody mess all over the ground* “AHHHgrrggAHHHblaaK!!” (Raquel): “Its probably best you do not make anymore noise..” I hear her whisper but I was to busy trying to vomit and noticing dirt was pooling out of rips from my neck and chest not just mouth. In complete disgust/alarm hyperventilating and rolling around trying to get worms off but I FEEL them EVERYWHERE **and another black out from raw TRAUMA*

Midas wakes up yet again this time having attracted the attention of the old one who shoved him in the coffin. He was now being repetitively shoved into Joseph’s old dining table in the great hall yet now it looked quite medieval and  grim from the transformation. The table was littered with decapitated heads and gore from the remains of the guests that once had tea here. Some of the old ones were less emancipated and had a more human like appearance and some even had better clothing and civil mannerisms now . Midas did not appreciate the better aesthetic of his captives now. “WHAT!!!!I..I ..I don’t know!!! I DONT kNOW?” I gag trying to understand some sort of old German dialect being shouted at me. After going around the table of HORROR a few times I get enough of the language beaten into me. Raquel got me spared by telling them about Francis but they didn’t seem to really respect him or anything and I think wanted to use me as some bait for him and Jezebel if they do return. Or maybe they wanted to eat us all at once it was hard to translate.  They also seemed to not like witches even if I tries to tell them I couldn’t do anything at the moment. To 'prevent’ me from cursing them I get my tongue ripped out and nailed by the hands as far as part as possible on the dining table. *BLACK OUT AGAIN FROM THAT ORDEAL* Raquel visits him for a bit trying to help and was stuck here herself yet in MUCH better shape then Midas. (Raquel): “Sorry..” I give her a 'should have let them eat me look’

*** *** Midas can can only stay awake for a short period of time dieing again and again from this painful state and reviving undead because hes a vampire. He stays like this for a few weeks till the latest crisis - Jason’s unverisel merging causes paradoxical spontaneous chaos -  Many fall into the supernatural event leaving Midas unguarded still stuck on the table where he is easily snagged by Constantine and dragged into the happy house

PUPPY CHOW IS ON!

They are not just here for Jezebel's command but had felt new powerful   Tullusion ‘s and Denim’s painful ‘birth’ moments before. Truely Celeste has caused ALL of this madness.

The pup’s minds are so strong and it causes them to feel the hunger as well. Radioactive goop and raw tubes of DNA samples saved  from the dna bank and storage archives are dumped in the crack between worlds where the puppies exited in the hopes of alluring some with DNA bait and capturing them to see this true EVOLUTION

They feel confidant to hold them after keeping the last skinwalker as a ‘pet’ for the last week. He was named Elon after a breakthrough computer genius from earth that truly paved the way for this horrible computerized hell future. He was fed pounds and pounds of old spare DNA and ‘legal mixed breeds’ spawned when the zoo animals escaped into the wrong exhibit.  A mixedbreed young alien boy was thrown into his cell to be eaten..this child had Eiden’s soul after he was expelled from the statute.  Eiden’s lives are always short and unlucky this alien child was sentenced to be destroyed as he was a threat to Atlantis standers so he was ‘fed’ to Elon the skinwalker. 

Elon’s small short life so far as been being tortured/ experimented on / pain and suffering LEFT BEHIND as he was used for new Skinwalker research while floating in a pod lifeless and unable to do much. He had a TRUE new soul sparked to life by Miko’s essence instead of being a recarnation. It looked to them he was a ticketing timebomb of this new essence, this new POWER. Unseen on the grid created in Miko’s spawns.

When this was discovered the experiments turned SPIRURAL. One of Enuma’s grandchildren in full Dayukka ways demanded he be cleansed in a ritual!! Science and arcane magic was now one and inflicted in deep study of the cosmos onto Elon.

And this higher new unstable energy was driven out by the experiments.  ‘So Elon has fused himself to Eiden’s soul that was summoned forth in the studies/playing with magic and undiscovered new energies

Eiden has quieted Elon’s monstrous animal instincts so he is a contained internal psychopath :)

Jezebel again is interrupted from tracking Caspian down to be called to assist Demonuim in space. She tries her best to be calm and collected - like Grandpa- to not be TRIGGERED into another burst of chosen power. Caesar’s esence  and power was hard enough to control she was fearful of tapping into a even WORST chosen one of the past. 

The space grid never has been so lit in explosions and headlights as the search goes on, every moment Denim was gone it grew more torn and split. Glitches were everywhere like pulsating veins.  Aliens were sucked inside the fray and came DANGEROUSLY to taking the grid’s code. This was the last Atlantian outpost if it fell into ALIEN hands and was lost, the control would be gone. Not just the aliens were the problem, rouge agents not seen in YEARS show up trying to take over. Jezebel feels nothing for ‘old friends’ now just traitors and tries to hold them back off the space station- NO one takes her seriously because shes Francis- 

She still resists the urge to snap and show them she is a true Sheppard damnit.

She reaches the space base and sees the SKINWALKER invasion number 2.

Jezebel is horrified Miko was breeding again, he could outnumber EVERY race in existence with that skin generation- Atlantis had dealt with this before

Diego screams ‘ we knew this day would come we kneww this day would come’ with flashbacks from the first Skinwalker war

They try to put one furry monster in an acid vat to disintegrate it into nothingness to self replicate. But this Skinwalker was SPECIAL it had the great EIDEN’s SOUL and it broke from the  vat all its burn and flesh burnt off but a glorious hard armor like body with a shimmering scimitar on its head. It rises up implying Tullys and agents trying to destroy all skin follicles in the lab 

Jezebel shields herself but gets a SENSE on that creature as she stops and stares despite the CARNAGE

Going though the records Midas was later disenchantmented by how disgusting he was when he was possessed including his failed attempts at getting Morgan back by attacking Dragonrise ( taking Tess hostage and ending up getting tossed over by Eiden) of course he was a creepy fucker during that and raped her so he has a kid with Tess too.

He didn’t want to activate that one for obvious REASONS of it biting him in the ass but Jezebel probably activated her just so Francis would KNOW and it was funny

Midas ended up being very close to Tiamat but she has a rare trait for her tail, it’s a tentacle. Not a full on octopus… but when Ittah-Karzin took over THAT WAS CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE FAVORITE CONCUBINE 

So he hasn’t killed her like the other daughters he gets angry with in the end. For now. Hes waiting on some better ones will hatch next breeding season that might just have that oh so special trait

He killed all the eel or just general snake looking tails (like Caligula) children last year causing Midas to send away those he had managed to saved. This resulted in Midas loosing his small amount of daily freedom even though he was stuck inside the castle to just being thrown into a pit.
