There are so many things she wishes for! But I think right now she'd just wish that her family and friends will end up safe and with her. :(

🍰 Favorite cake flavour? Are they specific about types of cake?

Bolo de laranja. It's a portugese orange pound cake. It seems to be very juicy. I also think she'd love lemon cake. So I think Magda likes her cakes juicy and zesty and to focus more on the dough than on creams and such. If it's too pimped up, she doesn't trust it cuz she feels they're compensating the flavour with plain sugar or marzipan.

🍓 Do they eat their fruit and veg? What's their favorite fruit or vegetable?

Of course she does! Otherwise she'd hurt Tomas feelings if she didn't :( but I think she prefers fruits to veggies. Oranges, pomegranates, kiwis, grapes, grapefruits, mandarins . Those are her favorite. She prefers citruses.

I have returned from the Land of Kirk with a flat of their finest fizzy water, a box that contains 4 boxes of triskets, a big bag of raw cashews, a vat of roasted peanuts, and a bag of onions. I was indeed overwhelmed, especially on a weekend, especially at the first of the month. Honestly though, I was disappointed in their selection of veggie/vegan options. I've found better deals even on simple staples at Grocery Outlet. I do love Grocery Outlet.

Now I need to wash the suburban stench off me and go to a punk show.

Quick poll, Ian B is playing in the Lady Gaga band in punk style tonight. Should I make him wear a loose fitting open chested black pirate shirt or the button up sort of see through velvet zebra print shirt with a bolo tie?

Lunch simmered on the stove. A medley of chili spices permeated the large office, or living space, and kitchen. Alison was prepared to eat every last taco if Tim and Harry didn’t show soon. She would. She was freaking starving and the apartment smelled even better than her Tuesday night Alolan inspired kabobs, plus she didn’t have to worry about what anyone else thought. No gossip by Bernie and Daniel to all ends of their little network of friends, no comments on her femininity, absolutely nothing to worry about. Honestly, she’d expected her phone to be blowing up with messages and emails from everyone after Tuesday. Bernie didn’t know how to keep his mouth shut. Instead, nothing. Sweet, blissful silence. Too much silence.

Harry stole Tim for his little secret, but really not so secret, case. He was just as bad as Bernie about keeping secrets. This case he’d taken several days ago seemed innocuous enough. Find a missing girl after a date gone wrong. Her mother contacted Harry when her daughter didn’t answer texts or phone calls the day after the date, which according to her mother was highly unusual. At least that was what Harry’s notes said. Not being a minor meant the Ryme City Police Department took notes and made a report and BOLO for the woman but there was little else they legally could do and with resources diverted towards a recent influx of Team Galactic’s threats against the city. Talk on the street, the little Alison heard on the street in her normal day to day hangouts not her undercover ones, was Galactic’s new head was a former member of Clifford Industries and has a vendetta against the Cliffords and the city. In short, plans were being made to level the city, whether the city was inhabited or not.

Those problems she left to officers not on medical leave.  Other problems were more pertinent. For example, she was currently alone with lunch and that was not going to last long. Not really a problem for her.

Ali: How many tacos I eat is entirely up to when you show up at your own apartment.

That would either get their asses moving or not. She wasn’t waiting any longer.Alison focused on warming her tortilla so she could pile in the meat and cheese and top with some actual fresh, crisp, veggies unlike the vegetable like substances Harry considered vegetables.

Today I was doing my ‘rounds’ when I heard a lady telling her teenage kid to behave and cheer up, and also be thankful for the food on the table every day because his life wasn’t nearly as bad as that guy living on that boat*. I was stunned . I hate it when ppl do that: When you feel bad about something and then a certain twat tells you to cheer up because there are ppl living in worse conditions. First: Fuck off. People are in title to feel bad about something, it’s not a bloody sin to feel bad, as a matter of fact: it’s necessary. We can’t always feel good and happy. Second: The people living in poverty are not living like that so other ppl can feel good about themselves or their fuck-ups. So don’t do that, but instead challenge yourself to understand why another person is in pain or in a bad mood and then give them the room they need to get back up or ask for help. Also don’t tell kids to finish the food on their plates because there are children starving in poor countries. Don’t use famines to get your way. Tell them to finish their plates because you are in charge. Tell ‘em to eat their veggies so they can become lovely, healthy human beings, that or up your cooking skills. Estou hospedando nosso almoço de Natal da família este ano e estou passando por um profundo conflito interno: COMER OU NÃO FAZER CARNE. Meu coração me diz para ficar forte e desfrutar de um Natal vegetariano, enquanto minha barriga me diz, ei, só desta vez não vai doer. Eu decidi montar um cardápio de jantar de Natal tradicional vegetariano surpreendente para provar a mim mesmo que isto pode ser feito.

fonte Eu tenho a atenção de um pedaço de fiapo, então eu não ligo bem em sentar e assistir a um filme completo. No entanto, é fácil me convencer a entrar em um filme se você me oferecer um balde extra grande de pipoca amanteigada. Vou inalar essa merda antes que as prévias acabem. Eu imagino que esta é a versão festiva dessa experiência deliciosa.

Day 108 – Killer plankton

Surprise, surprise, we got up this morning and went for a Greek salad. S topped this up with his usual tuna tataki and J had a black pepper beef tenderloin. Despite being ordered well done, it came out medium rare and had to be sent back to the kitchen and put on the grill. We are surprised at how rare the average meat is at this place. This is one of the first places where S likes his meat and J has to send it back, as opposed to the opposite. This place is very relaxing, but other than the drinks and occasional entertainment, it’s pretty quiet.

Today was beach day. The water was perfectly calm. Unlike the previous day, the water was translucent and you could see all the way down. We both decided to increase the rating of the beach to a 9.5. That was when disaster struck. As you might imagine, if nature could attack, it would attack J… even on a perfect beach. J suddenly realised she was getting multiple stings/welts with no apparent cause as there was nothing visible in the water. S was completely fine. S just scratched his head not understanding any of it. We ordered a few drinks. Armed with some liquid courage, J tried to go back into the water and guess what. More stings/welts.

We got out of the water to see if we could find out what was going on. One guy said it was jellyfish. The next guy said it was a sea urchin. S said both of those were highly implausible, as he has been stung by a jellyfish before and knows that sea urchins stay on the seabed. We retreated back to the safety of the pool, where J parked S and headed off to see the nurse. The nurse said J’s stings had been caused by plankton. Apparently the plankton comes in once a month with the current. The nurse said to put some aloe vera from the garden on the stings and this worked. S is still scratching his head at how J could get stung by plankton while standing next to him, without him getting stung. J swears she will try to go back in the water tomorrow.

Dinner was a Mediterranean buffet. We figured that since we had already had Lebanese-esque food for Middle Eastern night, Mediterranean might mean Italian, Spanish and Greek. We were mostly right – it was Italian and Spanish. Funny enough, at least some of the Italian and Spanish people staying at the resort came to the buffet. As a starter, S had a purple quasi devilled egg with a surprise tuna fish hidden inside. It would have been fine without the tuna kicker – S didn’t like the fishy taste with the egg. For mains, S had veggie pizza, which was a bit rubbery but very tasty, and spaghetti bolognese. S found the bolo a bit dry and added marinara sauce to it. It tasted a lot better afterward. J had seafood paella and tried to eat the grilled beef. Unfortunately it came out rare, and as there was a communal grill at the buffet, she didn’t want to send it back. For dessert we had our usual fruit and J also had passionfruit cheesecake, which was delicious.
