i love pieces of v1 (or gabriel) doing reconstruction and maintenance checks of themselves but it got me thinking

do they rust? like, v2 doesnt need more blood to heal (likely a downfall for them in their fight but). im wondering if v2 was left alive if they would rot and rust away without technical help

like once hells empty will v1 just slowly corrode away, will their parts stop funtioning and their wires fray? if theres nothing to take care of the v models, how do they keep up with their maintenance?

this might be a dumb thought spiral at 12am but i just like the idea of a v1 fanfic about them at their end of their journey, dwindling away in a literal empty hellscape. its so sad but also such good food

@evilmcg sent; This had been no rare occurrence. At this point the newest edition to the emortys had made himself clear with meg. How he wanted her as her own and when she rejected him nicely at first before really getting firm with it he made a habit of kidnapping her. He had tried forcing her to love him and over and over again he failed. Finally he was at his wits end. The two had gotten into a fight and both were worse for wear.

But thanks to his tech he managed to get the upper hand on her. "If you won't be mine you won't be his either." With last move he stabbed her through the gut. By the time meg's actual boyfriend arrived it was too late. She was bleeding out and fast. She took solace that atleast she managed to be held in his arms for her final moment. "Morty..." With the last of her strength she held into the fabric of his shirt. "I love you. Please don't leave me." (for the death arc for evilmcg)

Everything felt wrong for the past few hours. Morty knew Meg was gone, but where? He couldn't exactly figure that one out. It's as if she vanished. Taken from his Citadel and put who knows where. Normally it wouldn't terrify him, she often wandered elsewhere. However, there was no signs of her at her usual places.

And his stomach churned in the worst possible way. Indicating that he must feel something that his mind couldn't comprehend. A natural instinct that was unexplainable.

Hours were dedicated in finding her. Not only he set out in the search effort, but he commanded the guards and E-Rick to look all over. Nothing.

That is, until he walked into the office for the third time that night. His eyes settled on something. Shoe marks. Ones that matched his own, but weren't his. And neither were they his counterpart's. Well, the counterpart that he was dating, at least.

Which meant, it had to be the third version of them.

No time to waste, grabbing the portal gun from his desk drawer, he immediately aimed to onto that Citadel. Stepping foot on the other side, the first thing his eyes were subjected to was the glistening of the knife, dripping with blood.

Before Meg could fall onto the ground, he reached out to take hold of her. Stumbling, landing on his ass, as she laid across his lap, his arms curled around her frame. Amber eyes frantically flickered between her face and the blood that poured out of the open wound.

The Other Evil Morty would have to be dealt with, but for now, he needed to focus on her. As his hand immediately pressed onto the wound, soaking his hand in her blood, applying pressure in hopes that it would stop.

Please, just let it stop.

Inside of his chest, his heart began to race. He tried speaking, but his throat constricted, making it too hard to get anything out. All he could do was look down at her. The light in her eyes slowly fading out. The strength in her body weakening.

The blood wasn't stopping. She lost too much of it and it kept coming out.

For the first time in his life, he felt powerless. Unable to do anything other than sit there. Just watching her die. It felt like his own personal Hell.

And finally, when he could feel her lifeless body go limp, he hunched forward. Until his forehead met with the floor, his body covering her, gripping at her tightly. Afraid to really move her too much, but he needed to be close to her.

Within deep from his chest, he let out the loudest, raspy, guttural yell that one could possibly let out. His cheeks were wet from the tears that came out of him.

Pain radiated from his chest, up to his face, tensing so much from the heavy emotions. Sobbing into her forearm. Regret washing over at how he didn't even get to say goodbye or to tell her that he loved her. His own emotions were overwhelming his senses. Everything swirling in his head.

And then it stopped. Everything felt silent for a moment. His brain focused on one thing only. Which made his body move on it's own. Slowly releasing his grip onto her, he stood up.

For a moment, he just stood there. Until his feet began to slowly move forward. Amber eyes sharp and cold, even with the remnants of tears still in them. Glued onto his target.

Before the other could register what happened, he took a syringe out of his pocket, lunged forward to grab the front of the other's shirt, pulling forward and jabbing the needle into the other's neck. He quickly held onto the body that became limp. Surprisingly, his counterpart wasn't that heavy, even with being sedated.

The next couple of minutes would be ruthless, but he had his plans. Ones that he couldn't do without the help of a few Ricks. For the moment, his second-in-command would take Meg's body to the Citadel's laboratory.

And for his counterpart, well, he would be personally taking his body to a different lab. One more secluded. His original Rick's lab that they had installed when reunited. There, he would need everything to carry out his plans.

i think i might adjust the mimoth timeline again ever so slightly so that moth doesnt quite remember who mimic is when duo is introduced. theres a fuzzy chunk of memories that still has yet to fully return for them after their recovery arc in this timeline; they can remember feeling betrayed, but not by who - and yet they can also feel a sense of warmth and protection from when they were dragged into the bad guys storyline. they can only see shades of indigo in these memories, they cant make out a face or form

when duo pops up, moth feels those memories resurface. theyre just a little clearer. moth decides to trust their gut and keep an eye on duo. mimic thinks this is them signaling that they totally know and it makes him nervous; a rare emotion for him to feel. how this concludes is still up to how the comic plays out but eventually they get together 4realz

got inspired (largely by @muzzleroars) to take a shot at coming up w. my own version of the other three archangels and i got some concepts laid down already

auriel (or uriel, both are accepted) is a seraph who serves as part of the council of auriel's own volition, primarily as an enabler and source to much of their dogma. auriel knows a lot of things and its motives are generally unknown to most, but auriel isn't particularly the kindest in heaven by a long shot; it's largely logical but following its own specific logic that has warped over time since the disappearance of god. like most seraphim, auriel would previously answer directly to god himself and no other, and most would simply ignore or be hostile towards lower angels in the wake of their abandonment. after the massacre of the council, auriel's whereabouts are unknown, but it's likely that auriel was not present at the time. it's hard to kill a seraph. often humanoid but auriel's true form is that of a massive, fiery flying serpent, in usual seraph fashion (no pronouns or it/he/she)

raphael is a fallen angel who was cast out by the council in secrecy, soon after the fall of man. he was one of the few who eagerly chose to associate with the experiment that was humanity and the council decided to take advantage of that fact to accuse him of having strayed away from god. he typically roams hell, assisting the remains of humanity now that he is not barred from doing so, though hell had at some point forcefully blinded him. it.did not like being looked at by an angel, fallen or not. he's kind of a bee. (he/it)

michael was the one tasked with casting lucifer out of heaven and now resides frozen within treachery alongside him. it's unknown whether he is a prisoner or the warden in this situation, locked in there alongside his quarry, while gabriel has since taken up his role as commander in his prolonged absence. likely still alive but out for the count indefinitely. (he/him)

not one of the archangels but i think lucifer can have she/her pronouns in addition to he/him as a treat. i think it'd be neat

The warehouse in question wasn’t the most ideal place to arrange this meeting, but convincing Roman to part with his dear, beloved shadow proved to be quite difficult. It had taken months of wearing the thief down, through flattery and threats alike.

But for the plan to go smoothly, this meeting was necessary. If Neopolitan was to join their infiltration team into Beacon, that meant Cinder needed to get a read on her without Torchwick being involved. It meant that Cinder had to be sure that the pint sized powerhouse wouldn’t stab her in the back or otherwise ruin anything.

The last thing Cinder wanted was to resort to Plan B. Adam would be awful at this kind of subterfuge.

“I don’t believe I’ve ever seen you stray far from him. Such loyalty is admirable.” If annoying. No matter how this meeting proceeded, Cinder knew that the girl in front of her would always be Torchwick’s. Tsk.

Was unquestioning loyalty like Emerald’s so much to ask for? Apparently.

“I have... a proposition for you. A potential job. One your boss is vaguely aware of, but I felt the need to run it past you... directly.”

Ok this is actually a hard question to answer, since the actual idea of a duo of character that can see ghost and it's ghost partner started way way back when I was a kid due to a pair of Spanish educational point & click adventure games called "Central de Fantasmas" (ghost central)

While the games are surprisingly high quality for the standars of educational games (the guy voice actor also does Fry in futurama as well as a lot other characters in other shows), all things considered they didn't do much with the ghost idea, so it led to my kid shelf imagining this stories about a duo of characters one human and one ghost, I'll be honest I don't remember anything about them.

A few years back, on 2022 I got really nostalgic for this games and decided to play them (took a while to make them run since these where designed for Windows XP tops) and the memories of me playing came back and through the next days of playing I started again tinkering with the idea of a human/ghost duo, it all clicked when YouTube recomended me the song "All my friends are ghost" by Dib Dooley (the original non music video is older but it's no longer on her channel)

That's the point where my mind gave form to Ely, this parody of a mystery children book protagonist, unlike those who pieced things together out of clues that then would lead them to traping the villan thanks to their quick thinking and resourcefulness, Ely was clumsy, almost always was in the wrong track with her assumptions, and only managed to catch the bad guy at the end and survive fighting against literal crime bosses because of her friend Dan, a grumpy ghost who despite what he says really cares about Ely and makes sure to protect her, all lead to this.

Ely's dressing was roughly inspired by another parody of Kids mystery books, Jenny LeClue, while Dan's was inspired by Gibson from the Webtoon "Greetings from Grisley".

Despite the fact that Jenny doesn't have a hat while Gibson does, the hat actually was originally drawn as part of Elly's design to complement the detective look, then it was given to Dan as it's design looked to simple.

The idea kept going in my head and some questions started to form "Why can Elly see ghosts?" "Why does Dan want to become a writer so bad?" "How does Dan manage to pay the bills with him being a ghost and his book store not making any money?".

That's the point where I decided to actually make a story out of this and started to learn how to use adventure game studio, when I more or less had an understanding of how everything worked and had programed a way to switch between normal Ely & Dan Elly, I realized that I didn't have any sprites or artist abilities, after some days and a bunch of re doing I had the sprite versions that I posted over here.

I decided to park the project for now and develop some art skills moment in which I started to draw other ideas I had (check the art section in my pinned post for more on that).

The Ideas for Ely & Dan keep going in my head evolving until their current version and at that point I just couldn't take it I needed to share them, so I took your advice and decided that even if they weren't going to look the best they could at least they were going to look, and so Elly & Dan were posted.

So yeah, to answer it simply, the concept as we know it today, middle of 2023 more or less, the original concept more or less middle to late 2022, the Original idea 2010 or so...

Also about the second question, I don't, I've tried to come up with voices for them both in English & in Spanish but they always change.

i am an nnd shipper not out of desire but out of /necessity/. if i think about them too much my brain starts overheating in agony over whether the writers knew what they were doing or not

so kaito and meiko SP are the main thing I'm interested in as the worlds only V3 engine noise hater and worlds biggest v1 defender and SO FAR from listening to peoples examples.... well kaito SP actually sounds like he has a lot of promise to me, he has some of the richness that I missed from his v1 that was like stripped from his v3, although at some notes he almost sounds a bit too kiyoteru-esque (i love kiyoteru but hes a different guy with a different voice) BUT maaaaybe if you mess around with his parameters he could get more of that tastey v1 depth... does piapro have tension parameters, i think they have gender and breathiness at least. his consonants are crazy tho like i dont hate em, actually they remind me of the old cheap yamaha keyboard keypress spring sound that i always heard in his v3 whisper (the one thing i liked about his v3 LOL it feels nostalgic to me. like my elementary school piano teacher is gonna yell at me for not having a real piano <3 ) but they are OUT THERE. they are CRISPY. but yeah i hope i can find more lower ranged tests out there before i fully make up my mind on how i feel about it, the richer low tones are always what i loved about his v1

meiko sp is a little more dire. again i think i need to hear more tests (and shes not very popular so theres very few 😔) but like THERE IS a lot of promise in her lower and mid notes, and her long high notes sound great BUT her short high notes sound weirdly miku? im not sure if its just the vibrato or the pronunciation itself, can piapro and vocaloid edit the speed and depth of vibratos? i need to learn more about the softwares LOL BUT again i'll have to pray someone messes around with her lower range and maybe fucks around with the gender and other parameters before i can get a good grasp on it. im still very intrigued though
