i think i might adjust the mimoth timeline again ever so slightly so that moth doesnt quite remember who mimic is when duo is introduced. theres a fuzzy chunk of memories that still has yet to fully return for them after their recovery arc in this timeline; they can remember feeling betrayed, but not by who - and yet they can also feel a sense of warmth and protection from when they were dragged into the bad guys storyline. they can only see shades of indigo in these memories, they cant make out a face or form

when duo pops up, moth feels those memories resurface. theyre just a little clearer. moth decides to trust their gut and keep an eye on duo. mimic thinks this is them signaling that they totally know and it makes him nervous; a rare emotion for him to feel. how this concludes is still up to how the comic plays out but eventually they get together 4realz
