American sinners please help here. The medal Harry gave was sponsored by Fisher House. Why are they linked to Harry? Did we discuss Fisher House before? They seem to be providing services to veterans and also hand out a number of awards, in collaboration with Military Times. Here is their webpage: https://ift.tt/l7tFz3H visited a Fisher House in connection with Ingriftus Dusseldorf:https://archive.ph/nTCJGFisher Houses are given to the U. S. Government as gifts. One thing I noticed when touring the local ground school's maintenance hangar was the number of planes in for various kinds of servicing and repairs that were owned by retired Navy guys, because they'd had someone paint script under their windows like
CDR Uwe "Punch" Boll (USN Ret.)
Which I guess makes sense, if you're a NaVaL aViAtOr and you wanna display that the same way you did in your job.... okay, fine. Whatever.
But I think it'd be really funny if this was just a thing veterans in general started doing if they got into general aviation. Because it's every bit as legitimate for Commander Retired Aviator Guy to paint his shit on the side of his plane as like
PFC Joe "Brokedick" Bagadonitz (USA Medically Ret.) SSGT Tuna "Dildo" Cann (USAF honorably discharged)
#I don't know why I made up a version of Uwe Boll for this besides it was the first pun I thought of

USS North Carolina
The USS North Carolina (BB 55) was commissioned April 9, 1941. During her shakedown period she steamed into and out of New York Harbor so many times she earned the nickname "The Show Boat". She more than earned that nickname during her service in World War 2. The North Carolina participated in every major naval offensive in the Pacific Theater carrying out 9 shore bombardments, sinking an enemy troop ship, shooting down 24 enemy aircraft and survived being torpedoed. Earning 15 battle stars, USS North Carolina was the most decorated American battleship of the war. The ship survives today as a museum in Wilmington, North Carolina.
North Carolina was the first battleship built by the USA in almost 20 years. First in Class and the first “fast battleship”. As such there were lots of adjustments to be made before it was fully operational. The more powerful drive caused lots of vibrations. That’s why she was in and out of port so much. The extra shake down resulted in the rear rangefinder being reinforced with extra braces.
The "Other" USS North Carolina
USS North Carolina SSN-777 Virginia class attack submarine US Navy
North Carolina SSN-777 Virginia class attack submarine is the fourth ship of the Navy to carry the name North Carolina. The original was USS North Carolina (1820-1836), the second (ACR 12) (1908 - 1921), and the third (BB 55) (1940 - 1947). North Carolina received 12 battle stars for World War II service. North Carolina (SSN 777) was built by General Dynamics Electric Boat Division in Groton, Conn., and Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, Va., and joined the fleet in December 2006. As the Navy's next-generation attack submarine, the Virginia class provides the U.S. Navy with the capabilities it requires to maintain the nation's undersea supremacy well into the 21st century. North Carolina has improved stealthiness, sophisticated surveillance capabilities and Special Warfare enhancements which enable it to meet the Navy's multi-mission requirements. Virginia class submarines are able to attack targets ashore with highly accurate Tomahawk cruise missiles and conduct covert long-term surveillance of land areas, littoral waters or other sea-based forces. Other missions include anti-submarine and anti-ship warfare; special forces delivery and support; and mine delivery and minefield mapping. With enhanced communications connectivity, the submarine also will provide important battle group and joint task force support, with full integration into carrier battle group operations. North Carolina's keel was laid May 22, 2004. The first major milestone for the submarine North Carolina was the keel authentication ceremony held at the shipyard on May 22, 2004. The submarine's sponsor, Mrs. Linda Bowman, wife of Admiral Frank "Skip" Bowman USN (Ret), the former Director, Naval Reactors, inscribed her initials on a section of the pressure hull that were, subsequently, duplicated in weld by a shipyard worker, who, uniquely, resides in North Carolina. The pressure hull welding completed in September 2006, with work on the interior of the submarine continuing. In October 2006, the ship's Commanding Officer, Cdr. Mark E. Davis reported aboard. On May 5, 2007, the submarine was lowered into the water for the first time and moved to complete her construction. On December 12, 2007, North Carolina got underway for her first builder's sea trials. The successful trials led to her second builders trials just before Christmas. Following the third and final round of builder's sea trials in February, Northrop Grumman delivered the submarine to the Navy on February 21, 2008. The ship was brought to life during her commissioning ceremony at the Port of Wilmington in North Carolina on May 3, 2008. More than 6,500 guests, including submarine veterans and battleship North Carolina alumni attended the ceremony welcoming the submarine as the 4th vessel named after the "Tarheel State."

Don Diligent’s Notes on Moon’s Theocracy, Plus Fascism and Terrorism
▲ John K. Singlaub
An archived WIOTM post from “Don Diligent” on July 21, 2016, “Mr. Moon! You did mean autocratic theocracy! Plus fascism & terrorism! Just ask Gary Jarmin & Neil Salonen!” Significance Of The Training Session Reverend Sun Myung Moon May 17, 1973
My dream is to organize a Christian political party including the Protestant denominations, Catholics and all the religious sects. Then, the communist power will be helpless before ours…when it comes to our age, we must have an automatic theocracy[*] to rule the world. So, we cannot separate the political field from the religious…We have to purge the corrupted politicians, and the sons of God must rule the world. The separation between religion and politics is what Satan likes most.
United States Council for World Freedom - Militarist Monitor
The U.S. Council for World Freedom (USCWF) is the United States affiliate of the World Anti-Communist League (WACL). The first WACL branch in the U.S., the American Council for World Freedom (ACWF), was founded in 1970 by Lee Edwards. Edwards had worked with the Young Americans for Freedom.
In 1980, retired Major General John K. Singlaub went to Taiwan to speak at the WACL annual convention. A year later he was asked to start a new U.S. chapter…Joining Singlaub from the ACWF board were John Fisher, Stefan Possony, Lev Dobriansky, J. A. (Jay) Parker, and Fred Schlafly.
Report from Neil Salonen about FLF November 1969 Page 27
Because Vietnam is now America’s most crucial national issue, we felt that FLF must take a clear and decisive stand, to be responsible to our created mission. Our campus program has been geared toward uniting the efforts of as many students as possible, to create a coordinated response to the radical activities of the violent revolutionists. In a meeting of all those student groups who were interested in supporting our policy of PEACE WITH FREEDOM, a broad coalition was formed with the Student Coordinating Committee for Peace with Freedom in Vietnam; the Washington, D. C., Young Republicans; and the Young Americans for Freedom. The coalition adopted the name STUDENT FAST FOR FREEDOM and formed a steering committee for all planning. Over 40 students in Washington alone joined in the three days of fasting to demonstrate their willingness to sacrifice for the freedom of all people. For all those Family members who participated, the Fast had an even deeper, more symbolic meaning.
The opening rally was held in Copley Lounge at Georgetown University on Thursday, October 10, at 8:00 p.m. The Fast Coordinators, Neil Salonen (FLF) and Charlie Stephens (SCC), opened the press conference with a statement of the goals of the Fast, a briefing to all the participants of the mechanics of the three days, and an appeal to all of America to join in supporting this demonstration of commitment to the revitalization of the American nation. The assembled group was then addressed by Mr. Neil Staebler, Democratic National Committeeman from Michigan, considered one of the senior statesmen of the Democratic Party; Dr. Walter Judd, former Congressman from Minnesota, with 30 years service as a medical missionary in China; His Excellency, Bui Diem, Ambassador to the United States from Vietnam; and Mr. Bernard Yoh, a veteran of a lifetime of guerrilla warfare against communist aggression in Southeast Asia.

FLF Celebrates Fourth Anniversary - Neil Salonen - August 5, 1973
Receiving the guests prior to the dinner were FLF President and Mrs. Neil Salonen, Congressman and Mrs. Richard Ichord, and FLF Secretary-General Gary Jarmin.
Mr. Salonen completed the program by giving surprise birthday gifts to four people who have been with FLF since its beginning. Honored were Accuracy in Media head Reed Irvine, Congressional assistant David Martin, Committee for Free China representative Lee Edwards, and Bernard Yoh.
Conservative Foreign Policy - CSPAN
Gary Jarmin moderated a discussion, “What Is a Conservative Foreign Policy?” The speakers discussed topics such as protecting U.S. interests, maintaining peace through strength, and the legacy of President Ronald Reagan.
MY COMMENTS:Gary Jarmin introduces David Keene (35:45 - 50:25) and after his talk Jarmin mentions (50:33 - 50:41) that he was the Legislative Director of the American Conservative Union from 1975 - 1979. It is quite apparent then, that when Gary Jarmin “broke his Blessing” in early 1975 and left the UC, he landed on his feet not only with a “new job” but was given a high level position working under David Keene who had strong ties to the World Anti Communist League. By the way, Gary Jarmin also founded the American Service Council.

TO UNDERSTAND A MILITARY VETERAN, YOU MUST KNOW...
We left home as teenagers or in our early twenties for an unknown adventure. We loved our country enough to defend it and protect it with our own lives. We said goodbye to friends and family and everything we knew. We learned the basics and then we scattered in the wind to the far corners of the Earth. We found new friends and new family. We became brothers and sisters regardless of color, race or creed. We had plenty of good times, and plenty of bad times. We didn’t get enough sleep. We smoked and drank too much. We picked up both good and bad habits. We worked hard and played harder. We didn’t earn a great wage. We experienced the happiness of mail call and the sadness of missing important events. We didn’t know when, or even if, we were ever going to see home again. We grew up fast, and yet somehow, we never grew up at all. We fought for our freedom, as well as the freedom of others. Some of us saw actual combat, and some of us didn’t. Some of us saw the world, and some of us didn’t. Some of us dealt with physical warfare, most of us dealt with psychological warfare. We have seen and experienced and dealt with things that we can’t fully describe or explain, as not all of our sacrifices were physical. We participated in time honored ceremonies and rituals with each other, strengthening our bonds and camaraderie. We counted on each other to get our job done and sometimes to survive it at all. We have dealt with victory and tragedy. We have celebrated and mourned. We lost a few along the way. When our adventure was over, some of us went back home, some of us started somewhere new and some of us never came home at all. We have told amazing and hilarious stories of our exploits and adventures. We share an unspoken bond with each other, that most people don’t experience, and few will understand. We speak highly of our own branch of service, and poke fun at the other branches. We know however, that, if needed, we will be there for our brothers and sisters and stand together as one, in a heartbeat. Being a Veteran is something that had to be earned, and it can never be taken away. It has no monetary value, but at the same time it is a priceless gift. People see a Veteran and they thank them for their service. When we see each other, we give that little upwards head nod, or a slight smile, knowing that we have shared and experienced things that most people have not. So, from myself to the rest of the veterans out there, I commend and thank you for all that you have done and sacrificed for your country. Try to remember the good times and make peace with the bad times. Share your stories. But most importantly, stand tall and proud, for you have earned the right to be called a Veteran. I’m a VETERAN! I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN!

A thought for all, when someone says, “Thank you for your service.” It doesn’t always sit right with me, it is appropriate but lacks something. For me and maybe other veterans it would be more app to say, “Thank you for sacrifice and time.” #USMC #USA #USN USCG #USAF #veteransday #veteran #semperfidelis https://www.instagram.com/p/CWJz4p2JWm3/?utm_medium=tumblr

Thank You for Your (understanding of) Service
Just want to get something off my chest. It's long and I don't blame you if you don't read it, it's not really that important since it's military bullshit and that doesn't apply to or interest most of you.
I was messaging a prolific online writer of military answers regarding his repeated omission of female Marines. I normally don't even give a shit about this, but he kept hammering home how important the Eagle-Globe-and-Anchor acquisition was, that veterans need support, that veterans want recognition, that "We'll never be as awesome as we were in the military and we miss that" kind of stuff. He was talking about how civilians never understand and so on. I figured he would be receptive to a gentle reminder that all that stuff applies to female Marines as well.
We're seen as a novelty to civilians, sometimes even asked if we're strippers if wearing our uniform. Most of the time, it's just a look of confusion mixed with fear if someone sees us in uniform...compare that to a man in uniform, that gets all kinds of stuff thrown at him (money, dinners, drinks, pussy). And to some male Marines, we're just lazy, permanently pregnant "walking mattresses". They consider one shitty Marine who fakes an injury to be a shitty individual unless that Marine is female...then suddenly it's all female Marines.
What's weird is it actually carried over to living in Korea. All Korean men of sound mind and body are required to put in two years of mandatory military service. This service is a huge issue for them because women aren't required to serve. When they find out I volunteered, served longer, and served in the hardest branch, they usually recognize that and that's great. But then you get these few... "Oh, I didn't know there was a women's Marine Corps." "There isn't. It's just the Marine Corps." "But like for women?" "No, for Marines. Men and women Marines. Together." "But like a different Marine Corps for women, right?" "NO."
I've met so many people that have no idea what military requirements are but somehow think that I, as a female, automatically had an easier time. That I'm less trained. That I can't carry an adult male and run and keep positive control of my rifle. All of this is part of our training, we have the same firing requirements, weapon knowledge requirements, navigation, Crucible, swimming requirements. The ONLY difference when I served was the Physical Fitness Test, and even then every other female Marine hated this because it gave the shitbags something to gloat about. Most of us could pass the male PFT. Pull-ups aren't hard for an able-bodied person. This isn't like asking me to whip out my dick and hit a target with my urine...this is something I can do perfectly fine with the equipment I was issued at birth. Anyway, all that being said, as annoying as it is to encounter these people, they are the minority. These eye roll sessions due to their abject ignorance are thankfully few and far between...but at the same time it makes me really happy for the people I know that do understand. I'm filled with thankfulness for the people in my life, particularly the fellow service members, that aren't animate bags of shit. And for those of you that do have questions, you can reply here or message me anonymously (or with your Tumblr account) by clicking here.
