Watched too many videos on bluegill fishing, so I went fishing. Still 98 degrees at 8:00PM, it's like an oven when you step into the sun.

This past weekend we paid our respects to two family members who went to their heavenly home. Jose "Bebe" Amaya, my dad's brother, was laid to rest in Gonzales, TX beside his wife Juana. He was a very jovial man, constantly talking about hunting, fishing, and his (mis)adventures of his youth. He really loved it when he and my dad would get together for a hunt or fishing trip. He had some stories, and they were good. Dolores Sauceda-Ortega, my mother's cousin. When my mother had me, she was the one that helped her out. I remember one year in the mid-eighties, when she and her family came to California to visit my brother and I to visit Disneyland and other tourist sights. I remember, they couldn't believe how cold it was in the mid-June. I was reflecting on how sometimes we need to record special times during our lifetimes. We live our daily lives and forget about family members that we don't see on a regular basis. We should visit and call frequently to show them our love. Also, when you see them take a quick photo and then you have picture to go along with the stories.
