Asia Pacific Coffee Market: Global Industry Analysis and Forecast 2023 – 2030
Tumblr media
Asia Pacific Coffee Market Size Was Valued at USD 23,604.39 Million in 2022, and is Projected to Reach USD 33,184.28 Million by 2030, Growing at a CAGR of 4.35% From 2023-2030.
The coffee market offers two types of coffee: instant coffee, which just needs hot water added, and roast coffee, which is made with whole beans and ground coffee and made with coffee makers or French presses. Ready-to-Drink (RTD) coffee beverages are not included here; instead, they are displayed separately in the Non-Alcoholic Drinks sector.
In recent years, the Asia Pacific coffee market has experienced significant expansion and change due to the region's growing population, rising urbanization rates, and rising demand for specialty coffee. Australia, South Korea, Japan, and China are just a few of the major consumer nations that have risen to support the market's growth.
Consumer preferences in this sector have shifted in favor of specialty and premium coffee variants. Specialty coffees are becoming more and more popular among a wide range of consumers thanks to the emergence of coffee culture, which places an emphasis on superior beans and unusual brewing techniques.
The expansion of independent cafes and coffee shop chains in metropolitan areas has also fueled the market's growth by promoting a thriving coffee culture and encouraging experimentation with various coffee blends and flavors.
Notable breakthroughs have also been made in local manufacture in certain Asia-Pacific countries. Vietnam and Indonesia, for example, have made a name for themselves as major producers of coffee, supplying both the domestic market and the world at large. In addition, there has been a surge in the adoption of sustainability efforts and ethical sourcing techniques, which has impacted consumer preferences and the market environment

Kinktober Day 4 - Minatozaki Sana x Kim Dahyun
Kinktober Masterlist
Tumblr media
Dahyun wasn’t sure anymore that this deal benefits her, and couldn't remember why she agreed with this. Of course the main reason is that she isn’t able to say no to her girlfriend, the one and only Minatozaki Sana. When she asks with that smile and her puppy eyes there is nothing on this earth that Dahyun wouldn’t do for her. And when Sana came home with a gift Momo made to them (Damn Momo, this is her fault in the first place) of course it was a matter of time for Dahyun to give into her pleas. And of course was her who ended using the damn toy.
The little box Momo gave to them contained a small vibrator that could be activated with an app, one of those toys that for some reason was trending at the time, and all the streamers use. But Dahyun or Sana were not in that kind of business. Sana worked on marketing and Dahyun was part time barista at a local coffee shop, while waiting to graduate from college.
On this particular day Sanan has been working since lunchtime on her own corner at the shop, while Dahyun was on duty serving coffee and giving to the customers the pastries they brought. And what made it so unfair was the fact that Dahyun was the one wearing the toy at work and Sana was the one turning up and down the intensity of the vibrations. The constantly movement of the toy on her inside was like some kind of torture to Dahyun, who was much more a girl of vanilla sex, and wasn’t used to walk around her workplace with her underwear completely ruined.
Ok, Dahyun wasn’t used to this kind of sensation or this “fear” to make a weird face when Sana turned the toy to the max level for a few seconds. But the fact that they both were the only ones in the entire world that knew what was really happening kinda turned her on. The way her internal walls were clenching around the toy and her clit was demanding to be touched have made things to her.
“Everything ok honey?” Sana asked with her most innocent tone when Dahyun left over the table the cinnamon roll her girlfriend just ordered. The korean girl wasn't able to elaborate a response because at that very moment Sana turned the toy at the max level and instead of turning down after a few second, like the other times, this time she just let it there while Dahyun pressed together her legs and lips, forcing to stay inside her mouth the moan that was threatening to escape from her. The innocent smile on Sana’s face was the last thing Dahyun could tolerate at this point.
Still trying to walk with her thighs the closer she could, because Sana didn't turn off the toy, Dahyun headed to the small service bathroom they have at the shop for the employees, and locked the door behind her. Very soon her jeans were around her knees, and she allowed herself to touch her crotch still covered by the thin fabric of her panties. Immediately a shiver ran through her spine to her entire body
Dahyun’s cute white panties were completely soaked, ruined, there is no way she could use it again. Not in a million years could she clean the stain of fluid, not even washing the garment every day for the rest of her life this could be clean again. They were ruined and the toy inside her was still moving at a demonic speed making her release more fluid over the already flooded pantie.
But suddenly the buzzing sound coming from Dahyun’s center stopped letting her feel a little bit of relief, during just five seconds because that was the time it took Sana to knock on the door. “Are you ok Dahyun-ah?” Why did her coworkers let Sana come to check her? They knew about their relationship, that wasn't any secret, but still Sana wasn’t supposed to be allowed to be there. “Everything is ok?” Dahyun could not tolerate this. She has been being physically teased for hours and now her girlfriend is even verbally teasing her. That was seriously too much.
Sana wasn’t able to knock again because Dahyun opened the door and practically pulled her inside the small bathroom. “You know how I am. Now take care of what you have done.” Again not letting time for Sana to make a move Dahyun glued her lips over her girlfriend’s still grabbing her by the blouse collar. Of course Sana didn’t waste time and kissed back putting all the arousal she had builded over the day watching how her girlfriend had troubles keeping the calm when the toy was vibrating inside her at maximum speed.
Soon Dahyun was pressed against the wall with the toy buzzing again, this time just at a medium speed, and Sana´s fingers playing with her delicate folds over the soaked fabric of the panties. They were suppressing their moans with each other's mouths, parting ways just for a few seconds to catch a breath and leave small kisses here and there.
Quickly Sana’s expert fingers pulled aside the fabric to freely play with Dahyun’s small pleasure button. Her clit was so sensitive that even the small touch sent jolts over her entire body, already making her legs shake and causing her troubles to stay standing. Her entire weight was pressed against the wall while Sana replaced the toy with her own fingers. If that wasn't blasphemy Dahyun would have said that it felt like heaven.
More moans, more kisses, more pushing and pulling from Sana’s fingers, and especially more fluids coming from Dahyun center. Now it was Sana's hand that was covered by the thin layer of sticky fluids, making the movement of her fingers even more easy. Like if Dahyun’s center wasn’t already gladly receiving them. Like if Sana wasn’t able to feel her internal walls clenching against her digits and her girlfriend’s clit throbbing over the touches of her thumb.
Dahyun was so close. That was evident by the way she was practically shaking, biting her lower lip to repress her moans while Sana kissed the right spot on her neck. Or by the way she was pushing her hips against her girlfriend’s hand, seeking more friction. Dahyun was really close.
The Korean graved Sana´s face by the sides and kissed her again, putting all her effort to moan directly on her mouth while the strongest orgasm she had had on moths hitted her body.  The tremors were almost uncontrollable causing Sana to use her free hand to help Dahyun to support her weight, while the fingers on her other hand were almost crushed by the way Dahyun’s insides were convulsing on the unholy dance of the sexual climax.
Once Dahyun’s body stopped shaking and her feet could support her weight again Sana kissed her forehead in a very romantic way, as if just a few moments ago her fingers hadn't been buried deep in Dahyun's cunt. But recovering her mischievous behavior after this lovely show of affection, Sana put her fingers on her mouth and started cleaning Dahyun’s slick form her hand, always making eye contact. While her girlfriend could just stare at her still having troubles breathing normally. “Gonna say to your boss that you have tummy aches. I think Jihyo won't have a problem giving you the afternoon off. ” Sana said after leaving her fingers all clean, and with that she left the small bathroom leaving Dahyun there, with her jeans still around her knees, her pantie ruined than ever, and the toy still buzzing on the floor.

Day Two: Exhibitionism & Body Worship
Tumblr media
Nanami Kento/Fem!Reader
summary: nanami’s got an office crush, and it turns out that you’re into him too.
word count: 1.8k
warnings: public sex against a copy machine, marking, exhibitionism, possessive!nanami, nanami is kinda ooc but it’ll make sense i promise
note: I think about miserable corporate Nanami often because I, too, am a corporate girlie that is (occasionally) miserable
Tumblr media
He’d had his eyes on you for a while, you’d started working at the company around the time that he did and being the first person he’d really met in the building already had you leagues ahead of the others he hasn’t met yet. Nervous during your first few days, you’d almost clung to him for the first few months because he was the only person you knew from the orientation days - plus the other men of the office always looked at you weird and you didn’t like it. As he grew exhausted of the day-to-day monotony, you seemed to keep that chipper exterior which had you quickly promoted to a senior role despite your short tenure with the company at that point.
You were damn good at your job. Intelligent, laser focused on the market trends which made you quite skilled at getting sales (even when the markets were down, something that thrilled upper management). While he didn’t understand how you did it, he could respect your drive to succeed in this environment. He’d grown to admire you because of it, but that admiration turned into infatuation and he quickly came to the conclusion that you were the most beautiful woman on the floor - likely in the entire company. He wanted to devour you.
He understood why his coworkers and even managers would oogle as you walked by. It didn’t matter what you were wearing, there was always a whisper after you were supposed to be out of earshot about how hot you looked that day. He couldn’t say that he disagreed, even when you were wearing a turtleneck and jeans you were just as attractive as you were in a skirt and blouse the showed off plenty of your skin that he wondered if it was as soft as your voice was when you were speaking to him. He supposed you trusted him more, due to the fact that he wasn’t audibly wondering if you were single, or making propositions on a constant basis to take you out for drinks. On occasion he’d bring you coffee, or you’d drag him away from his desk to eat something besides the bread he’d brought in that morning - he had a closeness to you that no man in the building could ever hope to achieve. Those lecherous losers were jealous of him - and they should be.
“Good morning, Kento,” you greet, leaning against the table beside the copy machine he was using. Too many figures needed to go to too many managers for signatures - waste of both paper and his time. “I would’ve handled those report copies for you, I know how stuff like this can grate on you.”
“You’ve got a hard enough job trying to encourage them to hit quotas, I couldn’t waste your time with this.” It's when he finally looks over at you that he sees what you’re wearing, the silky black shirt he liked so much with the top three buttons undone instead of your usual two. Likely to show off the necklace you’d gotten for your recent birthday, but he’d discreetly admire the way the swell of your breast was on display for him due to your height difference. “You look lovely today.”
“Thank you.” You’re smiling, batting those pretty eyelashes at him while playing with the papers in your hand. “I feel like you’re the only man here that appreciates my appearance instead of sexualizing it all day.”
“A woman like you should be admired, treated with care and respect.”
“And you’d treat me with care and respect?” Your hand rests on his chest, and he’s glad that he left his blazer at his desk when his body begins to heat up at the contact. “We’ve got about half an hour before anyone starts to show up, wanna show me some proper respect?”
He’d worship you if you’d let him, and that has him dropping to his knees in front of you. His hands hold your hips, fingers kneading into your body while also searching for the zipper of your skirt. As desperate as he was to have his hands on you, to taste your beautiful skin, he was not going to ruin your clothes.
Except maybe the pantyhose that obstructed his path to truly feel your skin.
“Forgive me, but I promise to replace these,” is all he says before ripping at the flimsy fabric, rolling it down your legs before bringing one of them up so he could comfortably kiss the side of your leg by your knee. You were just as soft as he’d dreamt you’d be, and he looks up to meet your gaze as he kisses and sucks - leaving the occasional bite) along your thigh as his other hand kneads at the flesh. “I’ve never told you how beautiful I’d always thought you were. Thank you for providing me this opportunity.”
Your hand pushes into his hair, the perfectly combed style instantly messed up by how you’re petting his head as he makes his way up to your core. Your mound is covered by black lace, the fabric pushed to the side so he could kiss around your labia while murmuring to you how beautiful your pussy was. You’re already soaked, juices pooled at your entrance that he eagerly laps up, your taste better than he could’ve ever imagined. His groan into your entrance brings a moan out of you, your hips pushing against his face as he grips them again. You could do whatever you wanted to him, and he’d take it all with no complaint.
His finger carefully probes your entrance, and he’s pleased by how easy you take him. Your gummy walls almost welcome him with how they coat his finger in slick, making it easy for him to ease a second digit in to work to stretch you out. Your soft moan when his tongue drags along your clit, and he enjoys peppering kisses around your little clit as he fingers you. He doesn’t exactly want to make you cum this soon, but if it happened then it happened. You’d just have to give him another if you did.
“Kento,” you sigh, sounding heavenly as you roll your hips into his hand. “Kento please, I’m gonna cum.”
That’s his cue to stop, sliding his fingers from inside you and enjoying the disappointed whine that leaves you.
“Patience,” he chides softly, undoing his belt and pants so he could free his throbbing erection. “Gonna give you everything.”
His fingers are taken into your mouth as he pushes his cock into your waiting entrance, and he loves the way you moan at your taste while taking him so beautifully. The way your tongue lavished his fingers with attention, trying to clean every millimeter of your juices from his skin - making him wonder how much attention you’d give his cock in later events.
Your eyes close as he bottoms out, his soft sigh making you smile around his fingers before you release them with a pop. He hears your heel hit the floor as your leg moves with the rhythm of his first few thrusts against the copy machine, the plastic creaking with every push against it. The thing was probably fifteen years old, liable to break after he was done with you, but this was not the time to worry about damage to company property.
“You’re so tight, made just for me huh?” he murmurs, kissing at your neck before nipping at your jaw. He soothes that spot with a kiss before sucking at the skin there, knowing you shouldn’t have a hickey on your face - or anywhere visible, really - but he couldn’t care. Knowing that you’re marked by him, so everyone knew you were his, was much more important than protecting either of your reputations.
He hears footsteps but cannot be bothered to care, not even when one of his coworkers stops in the doorway in shock at what was happening in the copy room. You’re letting out small moans with every thrust, and his hands are trying to get more buttons of your blouse undone so he could properly stare at the chest he’d spent years admiring.
Your breasts looked beautiful as they bounced, your bra barely able to keep them in place until his hands pushed down the cups to free them. One hand sets to idly kneading one of your breasts, fingers occasionally rolling and pinching your nipples as his mouth busies itself with your other breast. Your moans were sure to draw attention to your less than professional actions, but he wasn’t going to let that stop him from properly adoring your body and delivering the utmost pleasure that he could provide at seven in the morning on a Wednesday.
By now a crowd has formed, a herd of eager men all trying to get a look at the most beautiful woman in the office getting fucked against the copy machine. He’s normally a territorial and private man, but in this instance Nanami doesn’t care because it means these men know you’re off limits. You’re his now, only his, and your neck and breasts would be covered in marks that will serve as a reminder to everyone just who would be taking care of you.
“K-Kento!” You’re also unconcerned by the crowd and how they watched, the occasional wolf whistle and flash of a camera trying to capture your beautiful body as it moved with his powerful thrusts. If anything, he was sure it had turned you on more judging by how you had tightened around him.
“Sound so pretty when you’re moaning for me,” he praises, leaning in to suck at your neck to leave yet another bruise against your otherwise unmarked skin. “Let me hear you some more, please?”
“Y’like me that much, huh?”
“Think I love you,” he responds, pressing his face into your neck as he feels you tighten around him some more. “Gonna show them how beautiful you are when you cum for me?”
“Uh-huh.” He’s got you so close you’re practically whimpering for him, your hands messing up his hair and fingers digging into his shoulder hard enough that if it wasn’t for his shirt he’s sure your nails would break his skin. When you did this again, he’d make sure you did to mark him up as much as he’d marked you up.
It’s when you’re cumming around his length, your juices dripping onto his pants before he pulls out to paint the copy machine with his own spend, that he knows that he’s truly in love with you rather than simply liking you.
Fuck, was he lucky.
“Uh, Kento?” you ask, snapping him from his fantasy and sending him plummeting back to the reality that was standing in front of a copy machine with you now waiting for him to finish so you could use it. “Are you okay?”
“I apologize, were you needing something from me?”
“Uh, not exactly.” You’re avoiding his eye contact now, fiddling with the papers in your hand. “I was going to ask if maybe you wanted to get a drink, or have dinner with me?”
“That sounds like a wonderful evening. There’s a restaurant not far from here that I enjoy, when would you like to go?”
And after plans are finalized, you leave the copy room - he assumes to go to your desk - and he realizes you’d left your papers on the table. One look tells him that they were blank, meaning that you used waiting for the copy machine to have an excuse to talk to him in a secluded place.
Those losers never had a chance.

tangentially animal-related hcs 4 the mean girls crew bc i am now responsible for giving a goldfish daddy issues
cady
inexplicably allergic to dogs and always in the first four stages of grief about it. don’t @ me about the medical semantics i just want her to suffer a little
tried to get a job at petco the second she turned eighteen but learned of the above information in the most destructive job interview since janis’s application to be the local coffee shop’s cool gay barista (they were worried that she’d swear at fighter-jet-takeoff volumes if she touched hot coffee) (she did, but only because they started playing a shitty pop cover of one of damian’s fave show tunes) and came out of the building a puddle of mucous and tears
grossly fascinated by the grossest of primitive functions. her insta page is all dope and authentic until you find a selfie taken using the back camera 0.5x with the corpse of an effervescent snail and a bunch of reels telling you how to narrow down what bird species are destroying your garden by the splay of their shit
has a miniature aneurysm whenever movies get stuff wrong about animals. artistic liberties are granted to janis alone. like sure if she’s in the theater she’ll sit through the movie fisting popcorn down her throat but as soon as she gets out of there the entire mall becomes a soapbox for dissecting the bullshit sexual dimorphism of giving female animals eyeliner
thus while i know the headcanon of her loving the lion king is basically canon i think she’s absurdly secretive about it. like she’s burying her merchandise and blu-ray copies under her bed in the dead of night while secreting more sweat than should be possible. she could come out to her parents and elope to antarctica no problem but liking the lion king which implies that lighter manes = stronger lions is a death sentence
probably got banned from a bunch of zoos for interrupting field trips
janis
had one of those angel/wolf/dragon/whatever hybrid phases as a kid like all good artists. did those like. not quite furry but not quite human animal art commissions on twitter for a while for the funnies but discovered a lucrative market and never turned back
does not know how to hold human or animal babies. like she’s good at taking care of them in terms of general physical and intellectual nourishment but that limp wrist is not supporting any necks properly
mercilessly makes fun of the whole “would you love me if i was a worm” trend. she doesn’t even love most humans what makes you think she has any answer for you regarding that other than that she’d turn you into a super deep art piece museums would purchase for exorbitant amounts
that being said she feels like a vivarium girlie to me. she’s nocturnal like a pillbug and post-canon constantly tries to convince the plastics that her pacman frog is poisonous
feeds her meticulously decorated ant farm gourmet meals every day. anyone else gets microwavable mac and cheese at best
this one probably won’t make sense unless you’re a jenny nicholson fan but she has a fake id for buying wine and turning the corks into those hallmark craft animal sculptures (and selling the open wine bottle to mrs george in back alleys)
damian
his grandma owns the most omnicidal chihuahua in the state of chicago. it’s how he learned to dance with such mental and physical dexterity. how else would he have survived visits to the nursing home
^ attempted to adopt the chihuahua’s children to have his own bruiser woods moment. turns out, even with his classically trained tenor voice, puppies and janis respond to the “drop it” command much the same way. that is to say they do not drop it and the puppies ran away with ninety nine per cent of his anastasia-inspired music box memorabilia
has a love-hate relationship with cats the musical. like memory is one of his top ten karaoke songs but he’s not going to admit it until he’s several fruity seltzers into the night. wishes all the actors in the movie had been replaced with real cats picked off the street before anything else was approved
played milky white in a scammy local production of into the woods and so so so embarrassed about it. he had to be on stilts the whole show
stuck a fish in regina’s backpack sometime in sophomore year but found karen feeding it and talking to it about her worst fears and greatest dreams felt too guilty to continue with the next phase of his plan (sticking a very hot picture of janis in regina’s backpack) (karen probably would’ve tried to talk to the photo too)
regina
musical specific but i think she didn’t Exactly do a matching animal costume with gretch and karen because 1) what can you dress up as when your friends are going as a cat and a mouse. cheese? 2) had cady not moved into the neighborhood, she’d have gone as a sexy lion to ease into the prospect of. you know. with shane oman but going as a sexy lion when your shiny new homoerotic frenemy has a lion pin on half her clothing isn’t quite a non-questionable choice
had a warrior cats phase she keeps under lock and key in the very depths of her closet. her closet is an iceberg of issues that goes shein -> homosexuality -> warrior cats and climate change is doing a number on it
fried a couple of janis’s ants alive with a magnifying glass sometime before middle school. she’s never flirted normally in her life

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico’s new president announced an agriculture plan Tuesday that could make the country’s food production and distribution look a lot more like it did in the 1980s, when meals in Mexico were dominated by tortillas, beans, instant coffee and cheap hot chocolate.
Four decades ago, the ingredients for those meals were often bought at government stores that stocked a few basic goods.
President Claudia Sheinbaum pledged Tuesday to revive those often shabby, limited government stores and continue efforts to achieve “food sovereignty.”
“It is about producing what we eat,” Sheinbaum said of her policy, whose main focus will be on increasing bean and corn production.
Sheinbaum appears to have a deep interest in boosting beans. On Monday, she said, “It is much better to eat a bean taco than a bag of potato chips."
Agriculture Secretary Julio Berdegué said the focus would be on guaranteeing prices for farmers who grow corn used for tortillas and lowering tortilla prices by 10% after prices jumped a couple of years ago.
The government aims to boost bean production by about 30% in six years to replace imports of beans, and will set up research centers to supply higher-yielding bean seeds.
“Self-sufficiency in beans is a goal the president has set for us,” Berdegué said.
The government will also focus on supporting coffee production, but mainly for instant coffee, which it claims is used by 84% of Mexican households. The plan will also seek to support cocoa production, but mainly for powdered baking and hot chocolate, not fine chocolate bars.
The policies appear to run counter to market trends and what Mexican food sales look like today, when consumption of most of the old basics has fallen.
Most Mexicans today shop at modern grocery stores, and consumption of fresh ground coffee, not instant, has increased enormously, accompanied by a boom in specialized coffee chains and shops.
Meanwhile, bean consumption has been dropping precipitously for decades in Mexico. According to the government's “2024 Agricultural Panorama” report, Mexicans consume only about 17 pounds (7.7 kilograms) of beans annually. That's less than half of the 35.2 pounds (16 kilograms) consumed per year in 1980.
A combination of factors, including the time it takes to cook dried beans, may be behind this. Amanda Gálvez, a researcher at Mexico's National Autonomous University, wrote that “we look down at beans because it is considered ‘the food of the poor,’ and we are making a serious mistake,” because beans are a good source of protein.
However, the health benefits aren't clear: The most common bean recipe in Mexico — refried beans — often contains a considerable dose of lard.
Tortilla consumption has also fallen from nearly 220 pounds (100 kilograms) per capita annually in 2000 to about 165 pounds (75 kilograms) in 2024. Consumers have increasingly taken to buying bread and other bakery products instead of tortillas.
Apart from the challenge of trying to change consumer habits, the policy also runs counter to market trends. While some countries are trying to encourage high-value varietal and specialized chocolate strains, Mexico is focusing on the cheapest products.
While chocolate was first exported to the rest of the world from Mexico, Mexico's own production has fallen dramatically because of plant diseases and a lack of investment. It dropped from almost 50,000 tons in 2003 to about 28,000 tons in 2022.
And while most Mexican homes may have a jar of instant coffee in their cupboards, that's not where the tendency — or consumer spending — is headed. According to a Technavio industry report, instant products accounted for only about 37% of the sales value of coffee in Mexico.
Sheinbaum's focus on self-sufficiency in oil, energy and foodstuffs is a holdover from her predecessor and political mentor, former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who left office on Sept. 30.
López Obrador also appears to have passed on his nostalgia for a 1970s-style Mexico — including passenger rail service, state-owned industries, tight-knit families and small corner stores — to Sheinbaum.
The agriculture plan comes one day after Sheinbaum announced a complete “junk food” ban on salty, fried, processed snacks or sweetened beverages and soft drinks in schools, starting within six months.
But the government's track record in actually changing consumer behavior is poor, columnist Javier Tejado wrote Tuesday in the newspaper El Universal. He reminded readers that the government banned junk food advertisements aimed at children in 2014.
“The result after ten years of prohibitions?” Tejado wrote. “Things are worse than when they started in 2014; Mexicans have decided to keep consuming things they like.”

How to survive having a job that you don't like? (Sadly. It's not the vibe. But quitting is not an option)
Hi love! I empathize with you on this one. Spending your entire day and mental energy on tasks you dread doing (and need to execute well) can be overwhelmingly draining. I'm hoping that this job only takes up 5 days of your week! Here are my best tips:
Keep Your "Why" Top of Mind: Even if a job doesn't align with your interests and passions or is in a bad working environment, you have to focus on the short-term purpose the job provides. Relish in having a steady paycheck to give you food to eat and a roof over your head. While long-term you deserve to find more purpose in your work, having a semblance of financial security will always top having to constantly worry about where your next meal is coming from – even if you hate every moment of being on the clock.
Plan Ahead: Mentally work through the following day ahead of time. Plan the tasks, meetings, and logistics right when you're ending your work day. This framework allows you to overcome the mental blocks and dread before you can go into decompress mode, so you can just wake up and go through the motions the next day. Taking the emotional aspect out of the daily work you hate is the simplest way to avoid burnout (at least in the short term).
Systemize Your Days (When Possible): Creating systems for different tasks or even your entire day can help you be more productive and lighten your mental load. This practice can help you to get your dreaded work done in less time while allowing you to feel less drained at the end of your shift. It's a win-win strategy. Create email templates you save for different types of messages (client-facing, different types of projects, scheduling meetings, presentation notes, etc.), have a folder organizing your different projects, program different Excel formats, and have outlines of decks saved – almost like a pre-made template that's actually useful (and potentially unique).
Focus On Skill Building Over Purpose: Consider the transferable skills you're acquiring while enduring this position – even if they don't pertain to your desired industry or role. Some of these universally-helpful transferable skills include writing a killer email, building a convincing case or admirable deck, learning how to speak to clients or stakeholders with confidence and grace, team-building and collaboration, organization, interpersonal communication, or simply prolonging your attention span. Reflect and dive deep to consider all the life lessons you can leverage later on by holding down this occupation.
Find Ways To Network Outside of Work Hours: Follow & connect with colleagues and influential figures in your industry on social media. Thoughtfully engage with the content they share. Ask about treating them to coffee for an informational interview. Go out to industry-related events, conferences, etc., and make sure to connect with those you met on LinkedIn the next day with a personalized connection message. Connect two of your mutual connections whenever possible. Allow karma to work in your favor.
Lurk, Research, & Study To Optimize Your Job Search: Set aside 20-30 minutes a day to search LinkedIn, job boards, social media (Twitter, Instagram), etc. to see potential next opportunities and evaluate the current market, trends, and most in-demand skillsets within your field/industry. Always tailor your applications and messages to mutual connections or hiring managers when applying to new roles. Be aware of your desired role/industry is evolving. Upskill whenever possible to increase your market value.
Incorporate Simple Pleasures Into Your Days: Make your favorite coffee every morning, have a go-to playlist that improves your mood to listen to before work, incorporate your favorite healthy meals into your week, find a workout you enjoy to add into your day either before or after work, indulge in a favorite book or TV show after work as a "reward" for making it through the day. Practice self-care – do a face mask or specialty hair treatment on a weeknight. Invest in an at-home massage tool or luxurious loungewear to wear in the evenings.
Indulge In A Creative Outlet: Find an opportunity for growth and self-expression outside of a workplace setting. Write, read, paint, draw, cook, bake, take a dance class, learn a new language, how to play a new instrument, or about interior design. Create Pinterest boards, poems, new playlists, and new recipes to celebrate your desire for variety in your otherwise mundane life.
Have Plans To Look Forward To Every Week: Whether it's hanging out with friends, going to a museum, watching a movie, or taking a walk along your favorite local route. Ensure you enjoy how you spend your days off. Don't waste time worrying about a dead-end job when you're off the clock. Spending your leisure time on your own terms. Take this time to do what you love.
Romanticize The Lifestyle It Provides: When motivation or your morale hits a low point, take time for gratitude and focus on the resources this job allows you to integrate into your life – whether that's a roof over your head, the opportunity to eat meals you enjoy, wear outfits you love, or even just provide you some sort of daily routine.
Consider your current job as a chapter in your life and career. Acquire the lessons, skills, relationships, and resources you can as preparation for the next stage in your ever-evolving journey.
Hope this helps xx

Budapest. Hungary. June 2024
At Berlin airport, it was surprising that they ask you to put photographic film out of your luggage. As it turned out, it was to avoid spoiling them. They must have gotten new super powerful scanners. I can only thank them for taking care of my films, which were scanned with another machine.
Yes, I'm traveling alone again. This does not embarrass me at all, but only emphasizes my freedom and independence to act.
On the first day, of course, I climbed the nearest hill and from there I successfully hid in the national gallery from the scorching sun. For me, a person who thinks in terms of history and culture, nothing says more about the place where I am than the National Gallery. And in Budapest, it's really good! Compared to the quality of the works of the Verger artists, Berlin loses the pomp of the Kaiser's time or the greenishness of 1920. In the National Gallery of Budapest I found very many truly high works in their own right. But there was also something in it that made me think. As soon as the art of the Romantics is replaced by Impressionism as a trend of visualization, the paintings begin to painfully resemble copies of the French masters. This surprised me so much. The quality is of course superb and I have sometimes caught myself thinking that the Hungarians do it even better. And so it went on in cubism and in the avant-garde. It got to the point of absurdity that I saw a painting that was 100% painted by Gerhard Richter. But no, it was some obscure Hungarian artist again.
At first I wondered, where is the Hungarian originality missing? Or is it all a logical consequence of cultural influences. Or is it all about the curator of the gallery trying to conform to the trends of the market? Everything in me suspects that the latter assumption is true. Especially if we rely on the latest critique of contemporary consumer society as described in Oliver Roy's book "The Crisis of Culture".
On the second day, I discovered that I am a bad tourist. In the sense that it's not easy for me to sell anything. In the part of the city of Pest that is on the left side of the Danube River, there are the very streets that horrify me, filled with fat tourists, expensive cafes with disgusting coffee and all the clothing stores that are probably the same all over Europe. Strangely, I can't bring myself to interact with reality in such places. I find that I will avoid these streets in the future and will consider the day I stepped into them a tourist mistake.
I was fascinated by the city's trams. They make you want to keep up with them. Of all the films that were shot in Budapest (12 pieces of 12 frames each), at least two were spent on trams. As it turned out, streetcars are the most popular transportation in Budapest. Their intervals are sometimes as long as 60 seconds due to the incredible congestion during rush hours.
The castle on Buda Mountain with its incredible beauty of architecture right next to the ugly plastic and impersonal building of the Redison Hotel made me smile. What an absurd world we live in.
I love it when a city has so many hills. Perhaps because I was born in a hilly city, I feel alive making an incredible effort in the thirty-degree heat to climb one more hill. It's a pity Berlin is so flat.
As a bad tourist, I found all the areas where there are no tourists, where you can see how ordinary people live, and therefore how things really are.
On the last day I received a message that my flight was cancelled. So I was stuck for 3 hours in a history museum trying to get a seat on another plane and book a room for the night. The museum was useful, even if the guard looked at me with suspicion. I was a little worried that my credit card wasn't working. But everything worked out, and after I transported my luggage to the new location, I went to Mount St. Galert. The sky was very beautiful even after, Friday evening in Budapest. It's so unforgettable. That evening I fell in love with Budapest and threw a coin into the Danube as a sign or desire to return again. I didn’t regret at all that my plane was cancelled at all.

Coffee market begins to dismantle climate protection with rain in Brazil
Tumblr media
Coffee has fallen sharply on ICE US and is already flirting with the 250-cent line, after reaching 13-year highs. The reason for the decline is the forecast of a return of rain in Brazil. During the peak of the hike, reflecting production fears related to the lack of rain, the December 2024 position was traded at 275 cents per pound. With the arrival of October and the rain forecast, there was an early dismantling of part of the climate protection. The accumulated low between the peak and the current moment is almost 8%. Both the peak and the rapid and sharp decline are explained by the typical volatilities of the “weather market.”
The fact is that rain has not yet effectively returned to Brazil and, even with its return, there is no guarantee of a change in the weather pattern that will ensure a good progress of the next crop. In this sense, the current movement is only corrective and does not indicate, for now, a change in trend. Climate models indeed signal the break of the drought pattern, with growing moisture in Brazil this October, with a moister scenario intensifying in November and December. Geopolitical tension, with the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, may bring more volatility to the market, but the long-term direction of the market will continue to be based on next year’s coffee production. In this sense, the market expects the first visual signs of the next Brazilian arabica crop and, at the turn of the year, should monitor blossoming in Vietnam. In this sense, the market’s focus is clearly shifting toward the 2025 coffee crop.

Milgram idol au (pt.6)
Tumblr media
005 Shidou:
Omg it's Shidou!! Didn't know people actually debuted when they were close to 30 but then again Milgram hired a fcking 12 year old so who am I to judge
Has that Korean ML type of styling. Like long overcoats, lots of neutral and darker colors + white, and whatever those actors like to wear while they're sipping coffee looking all hot and shit. Surprisingly marketed as a dad figure more than Kazui… not sure why either.
I saw somebody on Tumblr say this before and I could not agree more that he seems to be the type that has the dry skin + oily hair combo. Like predebut this man was spending 30 hours in the hospital everyday, his ass would not have time to shower or moisturize. Because of this his makeup team always have to leave him with very specific instructions on how to handle his skincare routine + products. I am entirely convinced that he would accidentally leave his serums and creams in the sun.
His fanbase has daddy issues man. Like they flock to him so they can have at least some form of fatherly affection (looks at Shidou fans)
Uses emojis on social media unironically.
I feel like with his fans he'll either care too much or too little about them. Either he gets super attached to them and tries to cheer them up the best he can, or just sees them as like a transactional relationship. Like yeah, he cares about them only because they're his fans. He doesn't really care for them as actual people.
Probably does those "doctor reacts" TikToks. He's usually a pretty calm and level-headed guy, but gods you should see the way this man absolutely rips those creators to shred. He has no tolerance or patience for those that spread medical rumours.
I forgot to mention this before but yeah he's the group leader of the entire wave. I'm not familiar with Kpop in general so forgive me if the leader is supposed to be like the most popular person or whatever, but he's a really responsible person who would actually fulfil their role no matter what they think of other people. Also pacifist so :D
Is his sense of humor outdated to the point where he can't understand his group member's jokes and just has to sit there with a smile on their face looking confused? Yes. But it's endearing.
Speaking of endearing I think many fans would like the way he's so serious while doing an unintentionally OOC thing. I don't think he lacks general logic in any way, it's just he's not familiar with the memes and trends today so sometimes he unintentionally does it TvT
Also has this air of quiet resignation whenever play fights break out within the group. Like they'll be shooting insult after insult on TV and he'll just sit next to them smiling in the overworked tired dad kinda way.
I could not for the life of me come up with a signature pose. I apologize.
Actually tbh he fits being an influencer more?? Should I just switch it to famous people,,, oh well too late to switch it now we're going full idol

I've long been a pumpkin spice naysayer for several reasons. I was also a birthday cake flavor naysayer before that, and still am on the off chance it still exists in some long-handed attempt by a corporate entity to bleed that bit of marketing dry before tossing it in the refuse bin.
Now, pumpkin spice is delicious. That combination of spices, and variations of it, have been used for eons in several different cultures to wonderful effect. There is nothing wrong with Pumpkin Spice.
There are, however, two things that drive me downright batty about the Pumpkin Spice takeover that happens all season long from August, sometimes all the way into January.
Corporations use whatever trend they can to keep us buying as much as they can, often to the point of over-saturation. It started out pumpkin spice lattes. Then it was pumpkin spice ice cream. Then Oreos. Then cakes. Then... pies? What? A pumpkin spice latte is delicious, and when a nice coffee shop does something delicious with the idea, then it's great. But it gets so tired so fast, and because the latte was such a hit, from August until January you can't turn around but you find some product toting to have pumpkin spice. Meanwhile, most pumpkin spice products contain little to no actual pumpkin spice. I saw pumpkin spice shampoo a while ago. It's not the pumpkin spice that's the problem, it's corporate greed and and market saturation that's irritating. And it works, which is irritating to my anti-consumerist tendencies.
A lot of it is false advertising, and much of the false advertising is self inflicted by consumers. Pumpkin spice lattes don't contain pumpkin. There's no pumpkin in there, most of the time. And when they do contain pumpkin, they don't taste very good because squash puree doesn't really mix in well with coffee. But year after year we get inundated with "Pumpkin" products which, while offering no suggestion that there is pumpkin therein, leads people to believe there is indeed pumpkin in there. I don't know if that's the corporate machine at work again just weaponizing language at us, but people generally believe that they're consuming pumpkin, when really they're just drinking a latte with some simple syrup that was infused with the slightest amount of pumpkin spice. And then on top of that, the upcharge on a pumpkin spice drink is massive, especially based on the fact that there is no pumpkin, or so little pumpkin so as to be meaningless, and so little actual pumpkin spice in it that the upcharge is completely just a cash grab and not indicative of any sort of actual increased cost in the making of the product. They make huge amounts of money because we believe their product is special, when really they've just dusted some simple syrup with a single cent's worth of pumpkin spice and told you it was something special.
A pumpkin spice latte is delicious. And anyone simply hating it for hating's sake is stupid and probably just being difficult and contrary because they have nothing better to do. The flavor of pumpkin spice works so well with coffee that it's almost uncanny. You get a warm, slightly bitter, toasty drink that really feels comforting and complete. It's delicious.
What's not delicious, is how corporate greed has turned what could be a fun treat in the fall, something to look forward to into a predatory marketing buzzword that costs them almost nothing to make beyond their normal costs, especially because they can simply push that cost, plus more, onto consumers who will pay them the extra because the drink is "special."
The drink is delicious. The capitalist reality it represents is not.
