Princess Tiana is the best princess solely because she turned a hoe into a housewife. Like I bet you once Naveen learns to do more than mince he’s gonna be the one welcoming her home from a hard day at the restaurant with some not so perfect but still tasty dish like “Welcome home my beloved ! I know you had a hard day, let me fix your plate and run you a bath”

Like he still helps her run the restaurant on some days when it’s really busy and plays live music on the weekends but I like to think that Naveen stays home and is the home maker. Like he goes grocery shopping, cleans the house, gossips with the neighborhood ladies, makes dinner, and he actually enjoys it. Like he likes keeping his hands busy. And Tiana tries to help him because he does so much now but he’s like “You’re in charge of the kitchen at the palace, I’m in charge of the kitchen at home, you’ve had a long day, please sit” because he’ll be damned if his wife lifts a finger after a hard day of work, especially when she’s been working her whole life

And his parents are in awe when they visit him because Naveen refused to even lift a finger and now he’s busying himself like

“I have to figure out dinner before Tiana comes home, I have to get arugula and- oh and blueberries for dessert ! She liked that blueberry tart we had on our anniversary maybe I can recreate it-“

And he’s wearing an apron and they’re just so impressed by how much he’s changed and how far he’s come.

"Almost There" is my favorite sequence from TPATF for the animation alone, but for the song as well! I was inclined to draw Tiana since the movie was based on the real-life events of Leah Chase with some Disney magic sprinkled on top. So here's a dedicated sketch made by me 🫶🏼. Tumblr ruined the quality when uploaded I think. But anyways, just please don't repost!

I hope to leave some of you inspired by Tiana's remarkable story as Disney's first Black princess, and especially to educate yourselves on Leah Chase's history as well as other Black folks - this month and every month. Tiana truly reminds you how all you have to do in life is dig a little deeper, and your greatest dreams will come true. And we all have Tiana to look up to for that!

Villains inspired by Cab Calloway my beloved:

Like honestly, these villains have the most entertaining personalities and gimmicks/themes I've seen.

I love how even though they share the same inspiration, they each have unique character designs.

Note Oogie is the oldest villain here, so when you think about it, he's like the blueprint for Dr. Facilier and King Dice.

(I mean they literally took two pieces of the theming from Oogie and split it amongst King Dice and Dr. Facilier)

Dude was so good at being bad, he set the bar in the little 15 minutes of screen time he had.

I wanted to do this redraw this twitter post for a while, not just cause they're my fave ship, but cause the lady in the og is wearing a feather boa and hat like Tiana in Almost There scene! Since Tiana is wearing her own outfit, Naveen should wear his own as well. It's mostly traced over the og for the important parts. Tried keeping the same style as well.

Furthermore Miles Morales has every reason to be at the center of crossovers and that includes that interdimentional relathionships/friendships are the literally the plot of his series.And there's no shortage of Miles-coded characters and characters Miles isn't necesarily similar to but would be close to anyway.Percy Jackson would adopt him as her little brother within a week of knowing him tops(and yes Percy is a trans woman,don't @ me with your horny bi guy Percy fakeassery),so would Jason Todd and he'd hit it off with all the other Batkids and him and Tim Drake would even be in love and end up together,Marinette Dupain-Cheng would never know the Batboys like that but she'd know Miles even better,Hiro Hamada AND Ruby Rose are both essentially wasian Miles variants and Momo Yaoyorozu is a blasian one AND she's latina too,Miles ending up in Amanda The Adventurer sounds more interesting than any of those MLP Creepypastas and i ain't even seen anybody draw him with Tiana,Sparkle Cadet,Bow,Koriand'r OR Goo.Cupcake deserves a whole Rotbtd saga of x-over buds.But y'all refuse to even look in his general direction,much less let him outshine your white faves you've ADMITTED are extremely badly written yet stick to while ignoring the canon black rep instead of adding to it.D*nny F*nton you will never be Miles

practicing in their home kitchen when he gets off work early, thinking he has hours before she gets home. going over the steps in bare feet as he acted like there was an invisible partner he was leading. unable to hear the door open over the music.

Tiana, like always, was prepared to answer his doting questions about her day. shoulders relaxing in relief. she was about to rattle it all off before she heard the music. slipping off her shoes. she placed her purse on the nearby hook. curiously maneuvering her way further into the house. leaned against the entryway, Tiana watched as Nanami moved with stiff precision, way under tempo. but at this point, he's more focused on getting things correct. deciding that he'll figure out the tempo later. 

his hands hovering over where his invisible partner's waist and shoulder would be. mentally taking into account the height difference between himself and Tiana. taking a step forward with each foot; left then right. then sidestepping with his left foot, his right foot following directly after. looking down at his feet as he did so. Nanami's back still turned to Tiana's watchful stare. going into a turn as he deemed himself confident enough. it was here that he started to fumble badly.

Tiana allows him to continue struggling before stepping in. Quickly molding herself into the space that was previously taken up by his invisible partner. Nanami jumps in surprise, smiling when he realizes it's her. 'you're a sight for poor eyes, Ken,' she teases, taking up the lead. to Nanami, Tiana made it look easier than breathing. then again, it was an easy dance. it was the flourishes and embellishments that Tiana added that left him speechless.

'why have you taken up dancing all of a sudden?' Tiana asks once they've slowed to swaying back and forth. 'i was wanting to surprise you. practically glowing every time you come back from the ballroom. was hoping i could join you,' his cheeks tinged red from the physical activity and having to admit his scheme to her.

in response to his admission, Tiana leaves a feather light kiss on the corner of his mouth, able to feel the warmth of his skin. expressing that the effort behind the gesture was appreciated. 'we should probably head to bed soon.'

'in a second—just let me savor this moment.'
