1, Who said “I love you” first

Aa far as this couple goes, “love” is vague and doesn’t fully encompass how they feel about one another. But if I had to choose, I’d say Tower, said in a sort of patronizing tone. This is presumably early into their relationship where Cold’s apparent sense of superiority clashes with hers. Eventually they’ll find equilibrium, maybe even see each other being as special as themselves

2, Love languages

Cold’s love language is hard to pin down because one, he’s a disembodied voice who can’t affectionately touch someone or spend time with them, and two, he’s not very conducive to love in the first place. Personally I do think physical touch is his primary method of connecting with someone, considering the Spectre route

Tower’s primary love language is words of affirmation, but she enjoys receiving acts of service the most. She’s also not shy about asking for that from Cold; their ability to directly communicate with one another is one of their relationship’s biggest strengths

4, PDA

Publicly displaying their feelings for one another is a no-go. They can cuddle all they want in private but not in front of other people

5, Kisses, favorite places to kiss

If we factor in their size difference, it’s usually safer for Cold to initiate a kiss, although I can’t imagine kissing is all that common for them. They both like lips the best, but Tower also likes when he kisses her hands

7, Comforting one another

As stoic as these two are, there are times that they need love and reassurance. Their stoicism also makes it hard to comfort people in general, which includes each other. In either case of one of them being upset, Tower will hold Cold in her hands and sometimes pet him with her thumb. The care she has to put into the action helps her redirect negative thoughts and feelings. Cold just kind of likes being pet

something about charles and max specifically is just very, idk, inspiring for writing?? Like I love brocedes and simi but I've never written them because even though there are heaps of content (especially with brocedes) it just doesn't come to me like lestappen does

I love that the bg3 guys are all written to have this intense adoration of karlach and lae’zel’s abilities to absolutely eviscerate their enemies. they’ve all got the same taste in women, which is “she could gut the big scary man chasing me, and then princess carry me to safety in her blood spattered arms.” and I respect and relate to that, as a bisexual man myself.

Matt & Ivy have a really interesting dynamic!! both pre- and post-canon!! with or without romantic undertones!! either reciprocal or one-sided!!

and obviously it has to be handled with a particular level of care/respect BUT I think if we allowed them enough grace there is space to explore a really interesting possibility for that relationship.

what made you ship it?

it really came naturally with the progression of the plot really. how they started out as these two friends but then how they kept just. mirroring each other one step after the other. thinking they were able to predict each other's next move but they were really just chasing each other like dogs running after their tails. and how it all climaxed in the tower scene and how all of their feelings towards each other exploded. all the grief and the sense of loss and the could've been-would've been-should've been. how both of them wished so hard they could trust each other and that scene on the tower is really just a confrontation, about whether this is possible. and the tragic conclusion that it... isn't. i'm crying on my knees

2. what are your favorite things about the ship?

i think the most wonderful thing about them is how they will never really leave each other. you have damaged me irreparably but so have i to you so it's okay. you and i have begun to blur and now i don't know where i start and where you finish. there's a before us and an after us. i wish i wasn't strong enough to let my paranoia / hubris destroy what we could've been. i can't tell if i'm seeing you in my dreams or in my nightmares. whatever souls are made of yours and mine are the same (derogatory). these violent delights lead to violent ends. "you and me, we can do things" (but we never will). animae dimidium miae. i'm all over the place

3. is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

mmh. i think my unpopular opinion is that... i like them toxic? lmao. no but for real. i do understand, that it can be much healthier and wholesome and satisfying if they manage to kind of. develop a healthy relationship, based on mutual support through the hardships of fluctuating mental health and so forth.

but really, once you take away what makes them troubling characters, these distorted mirrors that they re of each other, these unresolved tensions that will forever be part of their souls... idk, it kinda loses that sense of tragedy and soul-wrenching agony that makes them so interesting to me tbh. fairly speaking i don't think i would even enjoy too much a fic about them that happens after the game, because what makes them special... it's all in there. it's this whole spiraling down and them dragging each other into the abyss. once they've reached the end of it... eh. the story is over for me, i'm sorry
