Bellamy Blake and Clarke griffin are too normal about each other in a significant amount of content about them and I don't know why. These are not two well adjusted individuals, kind and well intentioned, yes, but they are both ready and willing to kill mass amounts of people just to keep who they care about safe. They will kill and maim if they have to, themselves, each other, nobody is safe and why am I not hearing about it!! Why is there no blood and teeth and rage!! They are Mind and Heart, they can't exist without the other and it's painful! it hurts them! it hurts the people around them!!. I mean in Josephine's Bellarke monologue, both her and Bellamy acknowledge that the relationship between them is weird and exhausting. And he still does everything in his power to bring her back. This was meandering and ranting but I'll end this with the general summary of: Let Bellarke be weird and co-dependent and angry and irrational about each other, it's their natural habitat.

i don't really have any solid conclusions about this yet but i noticed A Thing in a rewatch and i haven't found it mentioned elsewhere yet so here we go

(apologies for the appalling image quality you're about to see, i can't screenshot easily rn pls bear with)

OKAY so in the scene where crowley confronts gabriel about "shut up and die", something about the arrangement of book stacks caught my eye a little

the majority of the books are angled so that we mostly just see the page edges and not the spines clearly, EXCEPT for a particularly shiny and familiar colour combo right here-

but nothing too weird going on there, i thought, crowley coloured books in a bookshop so what? right up until i registered crowley's line when we get a closer look-

hhhhmmmmMMmmmm yes yes "everything just the way you wanted" huh, very interesting considering that we know how much thought goes into props huh

and for most of the shots we get of crowley in this position those freaking books are just quietly nestled right there in the corner-

anyway long story short they're two books from an Agatha Christie Crime Collection set (24 volumes, three stories per volume) and guess whats on the mfing front covers I'm-

(its a rant for another post but when paired with this other set of initials spotted in s2 i want to scream actually)

ANYWAY back to the books, through an absolutely unhinged comparison of the formatting of gold text blobs i reckon the two we have here are:

(I'm fairly confident but if anyone has a better image to confirm/correct this pls do)

now here is where I'll need a bunch of help from some Christie-heads out there bc I haven't read any of these and I've only seen the tv adaptation of one of them, so i dont know for sure if these are like A Clue, or A Cool Thing, or if I've just fully brainrotted myself into a fun lil corner here? wa-hoo

but here's some initial stuff that jumped out at me after skimming the basics:

(some of) the titles: Pale Horse/Big Four - death's horse ofc, the four horsemen mayb? the them+adam?? ; Mesopotamia is a very biblical choice bbz ; 4:50 From Paddington- azi likes trains i guess? idk that one's tenuous lmao ; honestly no idea with the other two but Secret Adversary feels a tad ominous

iirc Big Four just has kind of an unusual history, it was initially twelve short stories that she later compiled into one, and it was published fairly soon after christie's mysterious disappearance/reappearance

in Big Four, poirot fakes his death at one point and doesnt even let hastings in on it and I'm hoping sure its totally irrelevant to the ineffable bois

part of the Pale Horse story is a group of assassins that basically try to pass off all their murders as being actually caused by like ✨satanic powers✨ which is interesting

christie knew a fUCkton about poisonings thats why she wrote so many into her work and, while i don't believe the poison coffee theory myself, it sure is an interesting link with how cyanide is associated with almond smell/flavour and that metatron chooses almond syrup in particular

(ALSO random side note that is mostly meaningless but I've worked in a good few uk coffee shops and have never worked anywhere that stocks almond syrup; almond milk yes, hazelnut syrup yes, but never almond syrup...? prob just the places i worked though lmao)

EDIT forgotten point: I've seen some speculation that the bently's plate reading "CURTAIN" could be a reference to poirot's last story, along side that alternate scene of crowley ordering the sherry for "miss marple", its just one too many agatha christie references for my melted brain to handle and I'm SUS

so this is where i run out of idea steam and hand it over to you lot because i have no clue what this could mean, if it even means anything other than a cool set feature

would anyone read what would probably be a collection of one-shots or only vaguely sequential chapters that was like a slice-of-life/comedy series following the haikyuu third years working part time jobs unrelated to volleyball and developing weird, normal, adult friendships with each other because of it and then going back to school on Monday like "oh fuck right we need to beat them to go to nationals. thats gonna make seeing him at work weird. I hope he still covers my saturday shift if I win."

but the joke of the content would be that it's primarily focused on the work experience

so like Hinata and Kageyama come into a local grocery store and spot Aone and Asahi down one of the isles and spend a whole 30 minutes like "oh my god things must be so tense i hope they can stay civil" but theyre actually just retagging the canned goods for a sale and are just very efficient and silent.

and they go to say hi to Daichi at the customer service desk and he's stressed beyond belief, like, more stressed than they've ever seen him, and they're like "oh my god are you worried about going to nationals next month? yeah Im freaking out too!!"

and he's just like "what? no our new hire just quit so Im trying to rearrange the schedule and I think I need to ask Iwaizumi to cover closing for another few weeks and he's gonna be so mad. He hates working with Semi but I dont have any other options. Unless I wanna move- no there's no point in scheduling someone who doesnt know how to do it-" and hinata and kageyama just back away as he mutters to himself

Kageyama needs money for something and gets his first job with them and on like the first day he ends up working with Oikawa in the garden section of the store and expects it to be a chance for conflict and is all like "im not gonna let him bully me!!! we are equals here as coworkers!!!!" but instead Oikawa just sort of wanders around looking tired as fuck and very robotically doing his work and Kageyama eventually asks him if he's okay and Oikawa is like "dude ive been here since 4 am I dont even know who I am let alone if Im okay."

i have LOTS of questions so i decided to write them all at once (hope you don’t mind)😭

1. where do they go to their first vacation? i can imagine eli being okay with it but how do ale, alba, mapi and ingrid react? i can imagine alba and mapi being like all calm and like “ahh just let them be young and have fun” and alexia and ingrid all stressed out thinking about everything that could go wrong😭

2. not a question but kind of a question? (and also this is more for @girlgenius1111 but since she is recovering from surgery and you will have free time i decided to write to you) but, I need a fic with fresa is looking after scout. like is this happening when fresa and sol still don’t know each other (and mapi just asks fresa to look after scout for sol)? like when they met while mapi was giving fresa the car tattoo? and is sol still incredibly shy when handing over scout? like when they first met? or are they friends already? or maybe even girlfriends? i NEED to know the tea!!

3. do you know the olive theory? like the one that hates olives and the other that loves them so they take them? (in the end both hate olives) is this applicable to sol and fresa (maybe with other foods)??

4 what is their absolute favorite thing to watch together? and similarly do they show each other some cliché Tv shows in spanish/norwegian? (in my country we have a tv show called family affairs and tbh it’s the cringiest thing i have ever seen, and if i ever have a girlfriend this is the first thing i am going to show her because she NEEDS to experience the cringe of other cultures)

5. who is the one to wake up super early and who is to one to go to sleep at an ungodly hour?

6. another question that very much involves @girlgenius1111 but let’s suppose that sol makes up with her mom and wants to meet with her, how does fresa react? is she super protective? is she supportive? is she a mix of both? does she freak out? is she ready to take out box gloves and beat everyone?

7. once again the opinion of the queen herself @girlgenius1111 is needed but how does sol react to finding out that the relationship between fresa and alexia/alba is very stranded? obviously sol likes alexia but she doesn’t know her on a personal level super well, what does she do when she finds out that it’s not as perfect as it seems? that they may have more in common that she initially thought? the same goes for fresa finding out about sol’s relationship with ingrid, like it’s different but in some ways very similar. i suppose both feel very abandoned? how do they get through that?

ok i have even more questions but i need to stop now or i may yap till the end of the day. anyway sorry for such a long ask. feel free to not answer (if i were you i would just ignore this tbh) or “not answering, find out later” is just as acceptable. whatever you feel like tbh!!!

idk if it counts as a vacation but early on into knowing one another but not yet quite dating they go to madrid together alone for a concert! you are absolutely correct lmao alba and mapi help them get their train tickets and drive them to the station, meanwhile alexia and ingrid are too busy stressing they're too young to go alone and they'll wind up kidnapped or something dramatic

K and I were talking about this literally yesterday and trying to work out a timeline for all the blurb ideas we have for Sol and Fres + how it all ties into filling the void and family line! but yes fresa looks after scout for a week (he comes to stay with her and Eli) when Sol goes to Norway with Ingrid and Mapi, but thats after they've been dating for awhile. the first time Fresa meets Scout its before she even realises she likes Sol, but Sol is shocked at how much Scout seems to love Fresa (aka dog whisperer putellas)

they actually both like pickles on burgers but pretend not to when they think the other doesn't, so neither of them end up eating the pickles despite actually having a mutual love for them (same goes for olives)

mmm i don't know a whole lot about tv shows outside of where i'm from but i imagine both Sol and Fres have a mutual love of trashy reality tv shows. specifically the kardashians and any sort of dating show like love island, too hot to handle etc. they both spend the entire time complaining about how awful the show is but also, never miss an episode. they also love to binge true crime dramas together, and Fresa loves medical programs but she knows she can't watch them around Sol because Sol faints at even the slightest sign of blood

Fresa is a morning person (Alexia's influence) and Sol is a night owl!

Fresa is very cautious how she speaks about Sol and Ingrids mum, obviously she knows whats happened and it breaks her heart that anyone could treat such a perfect human like that. but she also knows theres parts of Sol that still love her mum and Fresa doesn't want to go too hard on the 'your mum is such a piece of shit for treating you like that' train and upset her girlfriend. so she lets Sol take the lead in conversations about her mum and is careful how she responds!

By the time Sol and Fresa start to properly interact its after everything has gone down between Fresa and her sisters and they're well on track back to being as close as they used to be. But when Sol first opens up to Fresa about how she ended up in Spain living with her sister and the strains of their relationship early on in her stay, Fresa opens up about her own struggles with that and they bond over it. Fresa is a lot more forthcoming with information but Sol doesn't trust as easily so it takes a little longer for Fresa to really understand the extent of the struggles in her life when she lived in Norway thank you for all of these they really made me (and K) think!! i know some people might think its stupid to go so in depth about creating a life for a made up character but it really is a fun escape and i love creating Fresa's little universe, and its nice to write about a wholesome queer teenage relationship because they get done so dirty in tv shows most of the time! 🍓🍓 @girlgenius1111

Summary: After letting everyone else know that his parents wouldn't be coming to his and Tommy's wedding, Buck had one more person to inform... Maddie.

This was the conversation Buck had been dreading more than any of the others. Telling Maddie that their parents wouldn't be coming to his wedding was going to be difficult enough, but he knew that through all of her anger she would still give him those wide, sad eyes and that was going to be what broke him.

He had gotten to the cafe early, settled in and ordered them each a drink. He knew Maddie would be getting there any second, and he couldn't stop his leg from nervously bouncing up and down as he waited.

Sure enough, just after the drinks arrived, Maddie did too. Buck smiled, waved her over, and got up to give her a hug.

“Okay,” she said, setting her bag down in the empty chair beside them as she sat down. “Spill.”

He wiped his sweaty palms on his pants. “Spill?” he asked with a nervous laugh. “Spill what?”

She crossed her arms and rested them on the table as she rolled her eyes. “You remember who my husband is, don't you? Chimney was acting sketchy the second he got home from work this morning. I already knew something was up when he faked a call during our phone conversation last night, but I knew for sure when he got home and apologized for “all the words I cannot say” whatever that means.”

“Why... What makes you think thats's, uh, got something to do with me?” God, why was he even questioning this? It wasn't like he could hide it from her forever. He needed to get it out. Say it.

Just say it.

Maddie looked at him knowingly, her head slightly tilted to the side. “Buck, Chimney tells me everything. If he's keeping something from me, it's gotta be serious.”

Buck took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. “Maddie, I...”

“Did you call the wedding off?” she questioned, concern all over her face. “Did something happen? Is Tommy okay? Are you-”

Buck reached out and took her hand in his, stopping her spiral. “We're fine, Maddie. I promise. Tommy is... he's perfect. It's not about him, or us, really.”

“Then what?” she asked. “I've been kind of freaking out all morning.”

“Okay, okay, but before I- I tell you, I just need you to promise that you'll stay calm.”

“Oh no.”

“And that you won't try to do anything irrational, because I don't need you too. I'm okay.”

“Buck, just-”

“Mom and dad aren't coming to the wedding,” he let out quickly, ripping off the bandaid.

There was silence. A lot of silence. Way too much silence.

“What?” Maddie pulled away from Buck's touch, sitting straighter. “Are you... are you joking?”

“I'm not.”

“What do you mean they're not coming, Evan? Of course they're coming to the wedding.”

He shook his head. “They called me a few days ago to tell me they couldn't make it.”

“Well, why not? Is one of them sick or something? Hurt?”

“No, no, they, um,” Buck sighed. This was the worst part, every time. “They have a cruise.”

Buck could've sworn Maddie's eyes got darker when she heard the reason. “They have a cruise?”

“Apparently so.”

“Buck, I don't... I can't-” She reached over and grabbed at her bag, beginning to dig through it, “I'm calling them right now.”

“Maddie!” Buck reached over and held onto the back, keeping her from getting her phone. “Maddie, please, don't. Just... please don't.”

She stopped, stared at him for a moment before releasing her grip on the bag. Buck dropped it back into the chair.

“They can't do this to you, Buck,” she said, her voice low and angry. “Not after everything we've been through. We've come such a long way with them, and they do this?”

He shrugged. “They're still mom and dad. Always will be, I guess.”

“That's not an excuse, and you know it. They know better than this, Buck. They know what a big deal this is. They could make some type of effort to get their heads out of their asses and actually be there for you.”

“I don't think-”

“And why aren't you more angry about this?” she asked, unable to hold back. “You should be pissed.”

Buck laughed humorlessly. “Oh, I am pissed. I've been pretty angry on and off for days, but I can't let them ruin it all. It can still be a good day. I want it... I want to be happy.”

And there came the look. That wide eyed, tear filled look that Buck had been dreading. “Buck, I... What are we gonna do?”

“I've got all the wedding stuff taken care of,” he began. He needed to keep focused on giving her all the information, so he didn't break down himself. “Ravi actually invited his parents for seat fillers. I've never met them, but the fact they accepted coming their son's random co-worker's wedding at the last minute makes me think they must be good people,” he said with a laugh. “Athena and Bobby are going to walk me down the aisle.”

He got a smile from Maddie at that. “Good choice,” she let out shakily, tears still threatening to fall.

“And I would have told you sooner,” he added quickly, “but I wanted to, to do it in person and we hadn't been able to get together lately, and I guess I had been acting weird at work and that's how all the other guys found out and-”

Maddie reached out her hands for Buck to take. “It's okay, Buck, I understand.”

“You do?”

“I do. Listen,” she gave Buck's hands a squeeze before letting go. “Why don't I call mom and dad,” she started, giving him a look to hold on when he went to protest, “and ask them to video in for the wedding? They should at least be there in some shape or form, if they won't be there physically.”

“Tommy suggested that,” Buck admitted, “and I said no. I just feel like, why bother, you know? If they can't come, why should I bother to try and have them there anyway?”

“I get that. But, I also know you. And while I'd love to never speak to them another day in my life-”

“Maddie-”

“I also know that sometimes we make a decision when we're upset and then we have to live with that regret forever.”

“I had been thinking about it,” Buck said. “Every time I do, I get so mad that I even have to think about that I just say no and move on.”

“Mom and dad will get to live with this decision for the rest of their lives. If I call and just throw that option out there, you won't have to think of it anymore. You'll know you've done everything you could.”

Buck thought for a moment, then nodded. “Yeah, yeah I guess you could call them for that. Just don't get all big sister on them, not right now.”

“Pinky promise,” she said, reaching out her pinky for Buck.

He smiled, accepting the promise.

“However,” she said, once they were done, “after the wedding, all bets are off.”

Buck laughed, his smile reaching his eyes for the first time in a while. “Deal.”

sorry so basic but it’s just too good. they both are just so toxic it actually ends up working. they match each other’s freak but not in a good way. but it’s very interesting and i like thinking about how different their dynamic would be at different points of history. its different than serbbos because there isnt a clear power dynamic and i think they are both equally fucked up but in different ways. they dislike each other, but partily because they're way more similar than you'd think. to both of their dismay, they can understand each other in ways no one else can. this is only if its done right, i dont wanna see drazen as the twink and vuk as super manly. thats just not them.

2. serbmace

this is the only serbia ship (and general yugo ship) i dont see as insanely toxic. i think it would only be a short time thing, probably during the balkan wars before ww1 but generally they have good relations and i think vuk would enjoy being the protector and mace being protected. but i also think she's the only one that can make him shut up. its just so cute, both of them having like a small crush on each other throughout time and i think they'd work well.

im putting them in the same catagory because i feel kind of the same way about both of them. i think these are two ships that historically would work great, with cro and slo growing up together and monte always kind of wanting to be "one" with serbia. however, i feel both monte and slo are just fed up with the two of them in the modern day and do not get along at all. but the reason its not higher up is because i feel like this works better as a sort of sibling type of relationship rather than romantic. a lot of the times monte and slo cant stand serb/cro but at the end of the day they grew up together and both cro and serb kind of consider them their only genuine friend. still one of my favorite dynamics to read about

okay unpopular opinion, i know i know. i really do like the ship, i think its really cute especially in ottoman times with enis trying to constantly rizz up idriza and eventually her falling for him. i like how he's overly affectionate and she secretly loves it. he def wants to be the protector but idriza really is. but WOW is this ship toxic, especially in modern day, and in a more tragic way. the fact that they really dont like each other nowdays just doesnt sit right with me, and the bad beef between them is quite recent and personal. its intresting tho, two people that were forced together and ended up falling for each other only to be torn apart 30 years ago and now back to really disliking the other but still forced to be together. its genuinaly tragic, but i think its probably the ship that is the funniest. the scenerios of them make me laugh so hard, this ship is like a black comedy. both of them deserve better as enis just hasnt really been ever treated right and idriza literally has to run the entire house and gets no credit for it (ofc she's bitter). fr its the parents that should have divorced a long time ago.

He's so traumatized and i love him so much. istg watching Charles' trauma made me straight (heh) up bawl. he did not deserve any of that and i fucking despise his father and the idiots who killed him. also ngl i kinda cheered when he shoved the night nurse off a cliff bc how freaking dare she make him relive/flashback to his trauma?! thats not okay!? (i totally get how it was kinda scary for the others tho) anygays charles is amazing and deserves the world <3

also i absolutely love that you can SEE edwin realizing that he's madly in love with charles when they hug. like he is so smitten and then he's just like has his oh moment. i love it!! also poor monty when he told him he wasn't talking at him after they kissed. oof sry sweetheart. i love edwin and charles together i swear they're so cute!!! the way edwin reassures charles when he's upset and also fixes his coat collar?! IN LOVE. they deserve a happy ending and some therapy to deal with both of their traumas (or at the very least a long conversation abt it with each other... therapy would be preferred tho).

also jenny's date?! shit went from "aww omg how cute!!" to "holy fucking shit what???!!!" real quick. also jenny is a complete vibe and i love that for her.

also those assholes (the ones murdered by Maren). they kinda deserved it ngl. i felt so bad for maren when she started to cry and i love that crystal was just like 'omg maren what did you do' in this concerned voice. i love crystal she's awesome and i rly hate that demon dude. bros just annoying at this point, fuck him.

also niko is so sweet omg i adore her!!! she deserves the world and i want to give her a huge hug (like I do with 99% of the characters lol). acibdisyvbkiw i wanna be her bestie so bad. she was so sweet for setting up a date for jenny o she would be happy (even if it ended badly nad she probably should've gotten consent first). and i just love her way to much for my own good.

okay i have rambled about this in a few places in mostly privately and in the tags of my own posts and self-reblogs but. grabs your shoulders. can you fucking imagine how funny loop would be as mira's beard. hear me out.

like. i'm already here for isiloops. im also already here for miraloop and mirasif qpr. im also here for miraisa qpr. im also not a coward who thinks odile should be excluded from this but thats besides the point. what im saying is that the whole things a fucking polycule and there's yet still ways this could be made way, way funnier.

So. It's obvious that Loop's theatrics are more than a bit of a facade. (They drop them when taken off-guard or in serious moments with Siffrin, and Isabeau remarks on them seeming 'shy' at the end)

But we also know that they aren't *that* much of a facade due to their speech patterns being directly reflected in act 4-5 sif's inner monologue. It's clear that Loop's regular goofy bullshit is just the manic end of Sif's emotional state unfiltered and externalised, presumably because they went fucking insane.

So while I imagine they'd probably be slightly more toned down with the party in postcanon, I don't imagine the bonus confidence that comes with Constantly Performing like that would just like... go away? Plus, new identity means you've got no expectations to be held against so... I think it would make sense for them to keep up the theatrics, the bitchiness, the change in humour from dumb puns to sharp and cruel wit.

So the idea of them proposing to Mirabelle that they could just, *pretend* to be dating isn't out of scope, to me. In a situation where she's perhaps fretting about keeping up appearences as an ever-changing housemaiden, or has heard through the grape vine that someone is going to try and make a move on her at a formal gathering, I think Loop offering to theatrically play up being her partner 'as a joke', so that they can offer her support and comfort while still under that arm's-length plausible deniability, sidestepping the emotional vulnerability of 'feelings buddies'.

(Remember, after all, that Act 6 Mirabelle's 'no spoilers' policy means she only got Act 5 Sif's fucked up little talk? There's genuine question as to how long it could take her to unpack things again after that. She probably still feels that social pressure even in a scenario where she has something again to the regular friendquest talk again, anyway...)

It lets them be 'in on a joke' together, and also gives Loop an excuse to hold hands with their friends that doesn't require they be honest about things. ("Well there's the thing, Housemaiden! I've no mouth to kiss, so we don't even have to do gross things like that to keep up appearences!") And thus gives Loop a niche in the party to slot into that otherwise probably wouldn't be filled by anyone.

And would anybody question it? The chosen saviour of the country has a weird little ethereal freak on their arm. That sounds about right for a magical saviour, and means there's really no need for any explanation for why they seemingly only showed up after The King's defeat. They're clearly Mirabelle's spirit guide, or something.

. anyway as with all things loop feel free to place this after everyone knows who they are for this to become a "relatively normal thing that can happen",

or you can place it before everyone knows who they are for the added twist-of-the-knife that is "guilt over keeping secrets" and "a really awkward and potentially upsetting recontextualisation later on"

When a puzzle annoys me or exhausts my mental capabilities, I need to be able to walk away, play a mini game, cool off, annoy some characters, then come back and work on it with a fresh outlook on the world. Except in this game when I try, the doors are LOCKED, I am TRAPPED with an impossible PUZZLE that won't let me WALK AWAY the crystal puzzle got to me okay that wasn't good for my self esteem

I got STUCK for HOURS because in the real life, when you get a piece of paper, with a handwritten web address on it, you can't just click on it, because it's HANDWRITTEN. on a PAPER. you can't hand me a LINK on a piece of paper. So HOW was I to understand that if I click on a piece of paper, it would open a website on my phone?? On what grounds? I was looking for a freaking computer, trying to steal the one someone left in the cafe trying to reach this freaking website because my phone didn't even offer a browser or any browsing options (which, it would have been so helpful if it had!) because there was no indication my phone could even open a web address, there was certainly no way to open any kind of browser or internet app. There were no signs!!!! I thought the game was bugged!!!

they won't let me CALL PEOPLE WHEN I WANT. All phone calls are timed! Even text messages! Even NED won't pick up unless it's important for the plot in that moment for me to have a conversation with him! Also I assume they couldn't get the voice for Carson in the game even though he was necessary for the plot so they play it like he's too busy to talk to Nancy but not to busy to relay all messages trough Ned which is difficult to believe, just have him TEXT NANCY. And let me call my friends at me leisure!!! Maybe I wanna chat about my day!!! Maybe I wanna ask them what they're up to! If I want to make a call I don't want to hear Nancy say 'it's not the right time' IT'S THE RIGHT TIME WHEN I SAY SO

since I'm complaining about calls and texts, they're triggered by absolutely nonsensical triggers. For example, you can't get Ned to text you back until you pick up the alchemy book in the cafe. The game can't progress until you do get that text, but you won't, unless you know specifically to go to the cafe, browse all of the bookcases which there are many of, and pick up inconspicious brown book.  Is this Stay Tuned For Danger again? I thought we learned this lesson before? Don't make the triggers ridiculous so people don't get stuck forever without understanding what they did wrong? Everyone is referencing STFD too, it's like they went back to that game and decided 'we need more like this'. The game at one point tells you to grab a laptop charger, and then if you haven't talked to the repair-shop owner, you can't pick up the charger from the cafe. On what logic? How would you know thats what you need to do in order to extend your hand a grab a physical object in front of you? It's nonsense.

I am in love with the environment, so much so that I explored every nook and cranny, every detail, and the copy-pasting of elements is killing me. I was so damn excited to enter the puppet repair shop and see all of the old-timey radios, tape recorders, video recorders, telephones, until I realized they copied each one of them about 3-4 times, and it's not even like they're next to each other like they're being sold, they're scattered to make clutter. And okay fne I would forgive them that. But THEN they also copied all of the tools from that shop, directly into the Marionette Theater, which, why would all that be there? Identical tool board but apparently Radek doesn't fix those dolls. Why does he have a saw? And then, as if this wasn't an insult enough, there was an identical SAW in the EXHIBIT. How do you expect me to suspend my disbelief there HER interactive? You couldn't find a way to create different clutter so you put a copy of the SAW in the CASTLE EXHIBIT? It didn't even belong there it was just there to make clutter! I am literally trying to figure out if this is something that has plot reasons or it was just randomly done with no thought to it, just for visual clutter reasons. My love of exploring has come back to hurt me.

he was fine with being the worst part of Sailom's life, and then suddenly discovered so many other things in his life that Sailom has to face every day, and the punishment he gets every month if he doesn't pay his debt, and Kang realises he's the least of Sailom's problems, and he suddenly wants to help him as much as he possibly can. previously, he was offering his money to Sailom but not as comfort or help, but because he recognised his privilege and power and used it to taunt Sailom and to remind him who is in charge. but then he saw two grown men assaulting him and nearly pressing a hot iron to his face, and Kang suddenly saw just how much power and privilege he has, in the sense that he can literally solve most of Sailom's problems (because they mostly boil down to money) without any change in his own status whatsoever

he went from wanting to be the worst part of Sailom's life, to wanting to fix the actual worst parts of his life, and I just love him so much can you blame me for loving him so much

"Relocation au"

(V4) Eclipse, while looking for who created him, decided to pay the lord Eclipse dimension a visit with the help of Spanaird. He never found a pull towards world domination, and wanted to see what that world looked like. However, before he found the lord, he found Servant Sun (who didn't die in this au 👍). After talking with him a bit and seeing his anxiousness, he felt pity and helped him devise a plan to take Lord Eclipse down. It works, and S!Sun uses the stolen star to bring his family back, before destroying it for good.

Eclipse went back to his own dimension for awhile. However, Nexus's insanity only kept growing, and he attempted to kill Eclipse to use him to bring Solar back. He evaided death, however, and told Earth on him. But when the rest of the celestial family confronted Nexus, he ended up killing them all. (Nexus a villain in one of my aus??? Its more likley than you think) All except Eclipse. He tried to go for him too, but he high tailed it out of there and went to S!Sun's dimension (also he brought Spanaird with him!!)

Sun and his family gratefully took Eclipse in. After all, he was the reason the reason they were even still alive. Eclipse ended up changing his name to Solstice, since Ecliose was an uncomfortable name for them.

Sun and Solstice get close, and they both begin to heal from what they've been through. Solstice becomes friends with Earth again. He mourns her and the rest of his celestial family. He mourns Solar, too. They don't understand who Solar is. He gets a bit closer with Moon, and begins to heal from what his Old Moon AND Nexus put him through.

Its a story of healing 👍

TDSP AU

"The Dying Sun's Protostar au"

When they defeated Eclipse (v2), the start wasn't destroyed. No one knew this but Nexus, however, and he quickly hid the star and told everyone it was destroyed in order to keep it out of danger out being stolen. However, when Solar died, things took a turn. No, Nexus didn't use the star, but when he tried to use magic to bring Solar back using the remnants of his soul essence stuff. The star absorbed it. This made the star sentient, and it turned into a robot child.Nexus began to raise her, with Sun (and the rest of the family) helping. Nexus never went crazy, becoming too engrossed in raising a fucking child to focus on bringing Solar back. He feels guilty, but he feels like this is what Solar would have wanted. He now has to deal with mourning his best friend, and raising an all-powerful, important, chaotic star child. Yippie

"I Can Fix Them au"

okay, so- this one doesn't really have a story, rather so just some events I have in my head. This is a newer au of mine

First of all, its an Eclipse x Nexus x Solar au

Second, Nexus does become insane in this, but he isn't the main villain or antagonist in the context of the au- he has a virus

Solar after he's brought back believes in Nexus, and when they see each other he starts to lose hope. So in a last ditch effort he kisses him, and somehow it works, breaking the virus and bringing Nexus back to him. True loves kiss 👍

Also we have forbidden love with Eclipse and Solar cause they can't be in the same dimension (thats why its called tol- true love and forbidden love lol)

Anyway they help each other heal from their attachment issues and trauma (shared Moon trauma lmao, even Nexus-) and bad decisions- and they cuddle and have long talks together and are sarcastic together and build things together- eclipse has had to drag the two away from the lab at like 4 am to sleep lmao.

Eclipse, while exploring universes, stumbles upon a lord Eclispe dimension long after the lord himself is dead. Instead, he finds a singular Sun possessing the star. Utterly alone, haven destroyed everything but himself. Slowly going crazy

The Sun in question, desperate for company, refuses to let him leave. He forces Eclipse to stay with him, treating him as his even though Eclipse refuses his advances over and over again.

Eclipse wants to get back to his boyfriends. Sun wants him all to himself

but yeah that's the basic idea!! now for characterization olivia is the Definition of repression. she LOVES repression its her favourite hobby... she's the type that can talk a lot and make you feel like she's not able to keep a secret until you realize that 4 all she talks she doesn't really Say Anything About Herself. she's also the type that convinces herself that since she Understands, objectively, what she's gone through and that it was wrong, she doesn't have to actually deal with it bc like. it happened. it was bad. she got out. what's more to say? surely this will have no impact on her psyche [VERY LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER]. (a huge part of the story after she gets to uni is about how she's terrified of people thinking that what happened was her fault to the point of distancing herself from everyone who knows about it)

mariam.... mariam is so special 2 me always... she's the oldest, the "adult" and she cares about these kids SO MUCH... it's maybe not obvious outwardly bc she's not really the demonstrative kind but she shows it in her own way. her instinct is always to be very.... business-like with it? not quite the word but basically she does her gestures quietly and without fanfare and then you find out about it like 3 weeks later and you're like oh...... she really does care a lot. but also worth mentionning she is more mature so she does know that people have different needs when it comes to knowing that they're loved so with eli she does make an effort to be more Obvious with it. she's also SO scared all the time... she's terrified that something will happen to them always but she doesn't show it because she doesn't want to freak them out :(

eli.. i know you didn't ask about him but i still will answer because hes just so perfect 2 me... he's the youngest (in the snippet i would say he's 13? maybe? haven't figured out timeline yet). he feels everything so strongly all the time he is FULL of emotions. him and olivia understand each other in a way where they dont really talk about it ever because they don't Need to (or so they think. ahem). he's also a mischevious little guy.. loves exploring and disappearing for hours at a time and almost giving mariam a heart attack. he loves so strongly it physically hurts sometimes ... my little guy :(

thoughts of our flag means death bc i love this show so much this is going to be a pseudo-summary of the show (first 4 episodes) + my thoughts of the characters and plot (i made this while explaining the show to my friend so it's a pretty watered down summary) fair warning did not proof read this at all this was just my late night rambles while watching the show

EPISODE 1!!!! okay so at the beginning of the series stede bonnet is introduced to us as a cowardly,naive man with a flair for the dramatics.he doesn't fully comprehend what it means to be a pirate and he seems to have romanticized the thought of being a pirate.As a result he jumped into pirate-hood without prior knowledge of what it really entails.in the pilot stede avoids a mutiny by getting the ship excited by the idea of raiding a big ship.in this episode its also revealed that stede has always been considered 'soft' or 'weak' by the people around him,including his father.Anyways the ship they end up 'raiding' turns out to be an english (i think) vessel that reverse raids (not really stealing just boarding their ship) that holds a captain that grew up with stede.turns out the captain is a childhood bully of stede that reminisces on the bullying of stede as just light hearted pranks(i.e. the captain straps stede to a row bow and throws rocks at him).the english board his ship and the captain (nigel badminton,i believe is his name) has tea with stede and his crew.by the end stede gets fed up with badminton's attitude and badminton joins stede in his study.while trying to 'stun' badminton stede manages to knock him out with a paperweight but his(badminton's) body falls on his own sword.stede freaks out,his crew takes control of the soldiers badminton brought on board on the ship.Olu and jim convince stede to take credit for the accidental kill so he can look like a fierce captain in from of the rest of his crew. also revealed in the episode that stede left his mundane life with his wife (it was an arranged marriage) and kids for a life of piracy.

EPISODE 2!!! crew's doing a little storytime swapping tale at night but turns out no one is steering the ship to they run ashore.with the boat stuck on shore they relax on the island while stede tries to find a way to get the ship back to water.its revealed that stede has hallucinations (possibly his conscience) of badminton,since he killed him,badminton's/the hallucination of him sort of haunts/taunts him.not to much happens in this episode,olu and some of the other crew find a tribe native to the island,they interact with the crew blah blah blah,its revealed that jim is actually a woman(?) that's disguised as a man to hide from a lady named spanish jackie cause they killed her husband.lucius find jim trying to was up in the ocean being the only other crewmate to know about jim's secret (aside from olu,jim's best friend) also stede loses the captive english soldiers and they're found to be captured by other pirates on the island (later explained to be part of blackbeard's crew) and OMG IT'S CON O'NEILL god i love con sm anyways stede bluffs that his crew is surrounding izzy,fang,and ivan (those three being from blackbeard's crew) and stede manages to get the captives back while pissing off izzy.anyways they get olu to convince the natives to help stede and his crew to get their ship off land and back into the sea! also by the end of the episode stede reconciles with his guilt for accidentally killing nigel and his hallucinations of the taunting deceased nigel stop

EPISODE 3!!! okay so stede decides to sell the captive englishman to someone on the republic of pirates (i think thats that the place is called) and also stede finds lucius in the ship (at the end of ep 2 jim locked him in a chest so he could better hide his secret) jim lets lucius out and they set to the republic of pirates.this place is also where spanish jackie recides(the person that jim killed the husband of). stede goes around the isle trying to find someone to sell the englishman to.it's shown that stede doesn't know how to interact with real pirates and that he's too polite about mostly everything.jim,olu,stede,and lucius go into a bar owned by spanish jackie,stede reveals himself in a grand entrance that he's the 'gentleman pirate'.given his theatrical entrance he's received with less than enthusiastic reception. olu was forced to talk to spanish jackie while jim watches it unfold.spanish jackie invites jim to join the conversation,flirting with him during the conversation.turns out jim is just there to retrieve their dagger that was still in the corpse of spanish jackie's ex husband.jim goes in the back room of the bar and finds the corpse but before they can get the dagger jackie finds them and flirts with them some more.jim manages to escape,around the same time stede knocks over jackie's nose jar,a jar full of noses from jackie's past enemies.jackie lets stede and the others go after the barkeep (who happens to be one of jackies husbands) explains that blackbeard has interest in talking to stede.stede also sees izzy there who vauguely says that his captian (blackbeard) wants to have a word with him but stede doesnt want to associate with izzy orr his captain,not knowing that izzy is part of thee blackbeard's crew.anyways stede and co leave the bar but are approached by the barkeep that was at jackies pub,saying that he knows who they can sell the englishman to.he brings them to a ship where all of stedes crew board it with stede and it turns out to be a spanish ship.stede gets stabbed,his crew is captured and at the end of the episode stede is saved by a mysterious figure before he blacks out okay so ep ending explanation,jackies husband tricked them to going on the spanish ship,jackie was messing with jim,she knew who jim was the entire time. also if it wasn't clear the mysterious figure at the end of the ep was blackbeard

EPISODE 4!!! god this episode is so character driven so it gives me a lot of room to rant about the writing in this show's 1st season the opening scene is a flashback of stede's arranged marriage,in reality stede is ill and recovering from his stab wound.blackbeard has overtaken stede's ship,intrigued with him,he's also brought along izzy,fang,and ivan to the ship.blackbeard has been taking care of stede and had been making his crew fix his ship since the spanish partially messed it up n all.edward (blackbeard) has taken an interest in stede and his eccentricities,being bored with his life of constant pillaging and mutilating others. when stede wakes up ed doesn't tell him that he's blackbeard.they chat a bit and stede shows ed some of his hidden rooms in his ship,containing fancy frilly clothes.edward is amused by all of stede's knick knacks and while they're in the secret room they hear izzy calling out for blackbeard.in that moment ed reveals himself to stede as blackbeard and after a moment of shock stede continues on with his golly self,showing more of the ship to ed.its mentioned earlier in the episode that there seem to be ships in the distance and it only comes into play when the crew freak out because they realize it's a navy vessel.its revealed that blackbeard knew it all along an had been steering the ship in an area with thick fog to hide to ship from the navy.his plan almost works but the plan required it to be a certain day so the navy ship wouldn't steer in their direction and ed was off by one day.stede helps ed with a plan last minute,realizing ship aren't supposed to drift near lighthouses due to the rocks near lighthouse cliffs.they swing a bright lantern around and make lighthouse noises to imitate a lighthouse and drive the other ship away.it surprisingly works and they celebrate their survival. okay that was like a really quick summary,it doesn't do the episode justice so little details i missed -

-jim discussed their identity with the crew,the crew is confused on whether or not jim's a woman and jim just tells them to call them jim. (subtle canon queerness well written and not horribly shoved in thank god)

-ed is displeased with his current life as the infamous blackbeard,sick of the myth-ization of his pirate persona.the fact that he's so dreaded that even the sight of his ship's flag gets men to jump out of their own boats,the fact he doesn't even have to try anymore and that he is stuck with the same old routine makes him sick.stede introduces something refreshing and new to his life with all his gentle nature and theatrics.ed was told by izzy to kill stede many times throughout the episode but ed doesn't ge through with it,becoming interested with stede and wanting to see more of him.

-the whole ed not killing stede thing pisses off izzy a lot,izzy dislikes the idea of edward becoming 'soft'.he's always idolized the thought of ed as a powerful pirate.
