The closer Silverborn gets the more I think about how fucked up Morrigan's life is.

You're a child and you are going to die, and everyone knows. There is not a person in your life who doesn't look at you and see, in some part, a walking grave.

And instead of pity you get scorn, instead of being bundled up and cherished and mourned you are stuffed in small rooms and shadowy corners and made to apologize for living.

And no one can save you. And no one wants too. You are a child and you open your first present and find a bill. Your house is haunted and you're the ghost.

The Kitchen cat is dead and It's your fault. Because you are a curse before you are a daughter, before you are a person, before you are a child. You are Morrigan Crow and your name is Synonymous with burden.

Refusing to engage meaningfully with characters and media because of someone's gender doesn't make you more intellectual then anyone else actually. If anything I think I blinds to some or the more raw and poignant themes and dynamics of the show because "ew cooties"

there are male characters on yellowjackets that i like but if your FAVOURITE character on yellowjackets is a man i dont trust you at all

Lottie the “tightly wound,” “lonely,” and “statuesque” girl.

Nat and Travis being secretly soft and sensitive both trying their hardest to appear like they don’t care.

Van being the “boisterous,” “terminally cheerful” comedic relief.

Taissa and Shauna being “quietly” intense and discontent.

Laura Lee being so pure but also getting on everyone’s last nerve (and nibbling on gummy bears🥹)

shauna will never not be the butcher. she married young, she's a housewife, she's shauna sadeki now, but she's always going to be shauna shipman. she cooks every night, she portions the food up. prepares it. does she filet her steak the same? probably. the first time she added salt it made her sick, the first time she had meat in general it made her sick. she thought of jackie, she thought of shauna shipman. she wept for a life lost, and a person forever intertwined into her soul. she bought a professional butcher knife, but it wasn't the same. it's center of gravity was different, blade not as jagged from sharpening it with stones. she learnt how to use a wet stone, how to stop being so surgical with her cuts, but she'll always remember. it's like riding a really fucked up bike. maybe she doesn't even want to forget. it doesn't matter either way.
