like the end was really anticlimactic bummed, there wasn't anything big going on and we really didn't get much of a villain or anything bummed..... I don't really know how I'm going to work with this game when there's so little going on outside of administrative baloney and childhood trauma kjdhfjks

Every big guy needs a little buddy. And every little buddy needs a big guy.

Lug and Hex have that dynamic.

These two’s friendship is honestly so sweet. Hex was a very withdrawn little lad until he met Lug, as the bulldog was the first person to ever show an interest in what Hex did, despite not understanding a lick of it.

Hex ended up showing him his lab and his projects, to which Lug then offered to help him with the bigger parts and tools he couldn’t use due to his size. They’ve been besties ever since. 🤍

Lug even encouraged Hex to enter the competition, despite Hex being unsure he could match up to everyone else’s skill.

He’s also very protective, chasing off would-be naysayers and bullies, and being the mediator between Hex and the group for the first few days of the competition when the rat is reluctant to talk to them.

(This, of course, later becomes a point of tension that Starline brings up when tempers are flaring, which makes Lug switch into guard dog mode and nearly get into a fight with the doctor. Hex has to talk him down, of course. )
