Dick Grayson is not just Bruce’s ward
I am so tired of hearing people using this argument to support incest ships(Jay/Dick🤢) or alternatively to make non-incest ships seem like incest (Tim/Steph)
the slander must end
Dick Grayson has been officially adopted by Bruce Wayne MULTIPLE times in MULTIPLE timelines
the most popular is obviously Batman: Gotham Knights #17 when Bruce goes through a series of events so he can finally adopt an adult Dick Grayson after years of him just being his ward
Now the biggest argument people use against this is that this comic line is not technically apart of the cannon(side note: I haven’t actually found any evidence of that being true but whatever), which alright. If that’s the case then That’s fair
but we also have evidence in Batman #600 where Dick Grayson himself refers to himself as, not Bruce Wayne’s “ward”, but as Bruce Wayne’s adopted son after Batman declares that there is no more Bruce Wayne
And The Batman comics are most definitely apart of the cannon so.
now I suppose an argument could be made that Dick wasn’t speaking literally and was just talking in the emotions of the moment, this is a stupid argument but fine. Let’s go with that.
Dick has never made this mistake before, as many people love to point out, he has on multiple occasions called himself Bruce’s Ward and vice versa. Sure Bruce has called him his son, and Dick has called Bruce his dad, but to specifically say he is ADOPTED? No, he’s never done that and I just don’t see that being a slip of the tongue. None of this even mentioning how he is portrayed/highly suggested to be adopted in pretty much all the recent comics.
point being, Dick Grayson is not just a ward and he is just as adopted as Tim, Jason, and Cass😤 and I will DIE on this hill

fanface for your free ableist blocklist. Claims that "less than 1% of disabled people you see on the internet are really disabled, the rest are all faking it". Gets mad when you point out that this is just blatant ableism.

the fact that this is where jjk was originally meant to end makes me believe that jjk might end like this, with Yuji at the end of his life, cursing Megumi to live on, alone, bc everyone he cared about is gone
another terrible and angsty thought that will not happen but I'm thinking it anyway: what if yuji is able to get megumi out of the abyss but ends up dying, and seeing the last person megumi cared about die causes him to initiate the merger

Man, it doesn't matter what the medium or fandom is, truly the debate that ruins fandom discussions the fastest is when people try to decide which characters "deserve" what. Especially when it comes to them deciding which characters are evil, how evil they are, and how severe their punishment should be for their evil deeds.
It's really annoying/harmful on multiple levels. For one, morally speaking, the line between "evil, but can repent/compensate for their deeds" and "evil, cannot be redeemed, suffer and die forever" is harder to define than you think, and who has the authority to define it anyways?
But also, fictional stories (especially the better, more nuanced, more mature ones) are rarely ever about "deserving" and don't divide their characters neatly between the "good" and the "evil." Every time I see fans debate about "how evil" a Problematic Fave is, or if Fave 1 is better/worse than Fave 2, all I see is people ruining their own fun and stirring up bad blood between other fans. Why would you add this dichotomy of "deserving" to a FICTIONAL story and start real life beef with people over it? At that point you're getting more invested in your discourse over imagined good/evil binaries than you are invested in watching/reading/consuming the actual story itself.

Now that M.HA has ended, I can say I'm not surprised by the fandom lacking any comprehension to the very end.
Spoilers for M.HA & Haik.yuu
From the blatant misinformation about D.eku's social life (the boy never said his friends don't talk to him anymore, just that their schedules haven't lined up to meet in person since everyone in busy) to weird ass takes about him being teacher (it's giving the classism conversation that needed to be had after Haik.yuu ended with Ki.ta being happy as a farmer).
As they say,
Don't mess with the M.HA fandom, we don't know how to read our own series

on top of the supposed 10k unique visits to my site yesterday (which may or may not be inflated because i don’t know how neocities tracks that information) yesterday was still so overwhelming on account of the more visible attention - the tweet about the update, considering my niche audience, spread like wildfire and my twitter notifications were a mess all day, and i got a lot of replies, but wildest of all to me was seeing complete strangers i’ve never spoken to in my life sending the update/article in various pokemon discords to show to other people… even including a youtuber who inspired me to start playing gen 2 in the first place, Tama Hero, and i just…?? i don’t mean to send pretentious or braggy, and i know some amount of attention is expected because sometimes i make resources that did not previously exist, but it still really shocks me sometimes and i don’t know what to do with myself. i mean, i don’t have to do anything, but it makes me so antsy, i feel like i have to! restless…

Hi, I just wanted to tell you I really enjoy all your meta and explanations about Leon, Ashley, RE4make and the franchise in general. I am a very new fan, so this is all very intimidating!
Hello new friend! I'm glad you're here.
Resident Evil is a giant clusterfuck, and there's a lot of bad information being spread around the fandom right now, so don't be afraid to ask questions if you need help navigating.
