Rewatching Bones and now I'm obsessed with this:

James and Regulus Swing Date

Regulus was never on a swing as a child - even if he got the chance he didn't see the value in it.

When James finds out he is equal parts horrified and excited!

It's that first summer Regulus spends at the Potter house after running away with Sirius. James coaxes him out of bed at midnight and takes him to the old playground he used to play at as a child.

It's a warm night, the sky is clear, and James takes him to the swing set.

Regulus thinks its stupid at first but he indulges James and sits down, letting James gently push him.

"You have to move your legs with it for that extra boost," He murmurs by his ear when he pulls back the swing.

Regulus does. It feels a little bit like flying on his broom. He laughs and James has never seen him look more beautiful.

They spend hours on that playground, until dawn. James twists the cords of the swing, and before he releases them, he leans in and kisses him.

When they decide to go back, James insists, first they have to see who gets higher.

"What's the price? What do I get if I win?" There always has to a be a price otherwise it's not a real competition.

"Winner gets another kiss."

They swing as hard and high as they can, the swingset almost breaks. Regulus gets higher and James hurts himself when he jumps and tries to do a "cool landing." It looked ridiculous and stupid. Regulus laughs at him but then he pulls him in and kisses him again. He won that one, after all.

Genuinely with all the love and care in my heart, why do we care so much about how others live their lives? We all deserve to have somewhere to go, to talk, to be ourselves. The older we get the more hate for the sake of hate seems inane, why bother worrying about something that really doesn't affect us all that much? Genuinely going out into the world and being able to talk to more people has changed our world view so much.

Looking back on our old posts now makes us cringe, they're still there for anyone to see and judge, but those are no longer our thoughts. It's not our, or anyone else's place to say what someone is or isn't experiencing. And if what's happening is distressing that's between them and their doc.

Kindness and care go a long way. With how hard it is irl for most of us right now I hope everyone who reads this has some luck come their way

me when i meet with my colleges first out trans teacher who is like a celebrity with me after one of my teachers puts me in contact with her again (i had interviewed said trans teacher 4 years prior and hadnt met with her since) and she tells me tjat my teacher had so many positive things to say about me, about how i was one of her brightest most well spoken students and that she (within like 5 minutes of having been talking) immediately sees exactly what my professor had been talking about and so many super implied positives about me that i would never had known about and i dod everything in my power to avoid prying for more details but even what i heard was soso nicies

Learning a third language is a very interesting experience Its like... I've already been through this process before. I know what its like. even if my third language is very different from my second (and first for that matter) the general experience of learning the vocabullary and grammar and developing another "brain" for it and all is the same And i can compare my progress on my third with how it was on my second Idk... just interesting, i suppose. Very fun tbh
