Chapter Seven - Sound of wings

Morpheus had been rather down these last few days. He kept mostly to himself. You had spent most of your time in raven form, too embarrassed to appear to him in human form. Even though you had got the hang of changing now.

You looked up at him as he adjusted his coat slightly. "Going somewhere?"

He looked almost startled by you when he realised you were beside him. He looked down at you. "I'm going to the waking world. I'm meeting my sister..."

You cock your head to the side. "Want me to come with you?"

He goes silent for a moment and then answers. "You don't mind?"

"Not at all."

He looks relieved, almost.

You stay on his shoulder as he transports you to the waking world. You take flight over his head as he leads you both to a public park. Morpheus sits down, and you land on the bench next to him.

In his hands is some bread. He statt pulling at it and spreading it on the ground.

"What are you doing?" You ask.

"Trying to blend in."

You look around. There is a lot happening in the park. Some people are playing a gane with a ball. Some people are walking dogs, kr sitting on benches chatting. Some people are playing with children in the distance.

However, as you look back at Morpheus, you can't help feeling he still stands out. No one seems to bat an eye at him.

You look up at him. He looks sad again. "Is something wrong?" You tey and coax him.

"Don't worry about it."

You sigh and hop a little closer to him. "Look, we're friends, right? You've done a lot for me. I want to help you too. You can talk to me about stuff."

He glances at you. "I know. I think... I'll wait until she gets here."

You know he means his sister. You look at the bread in his hands. He seems to notice you watching him. He takes some crumbs between his fingers and then throws them at you.

"Hey!" You look up at him.

He has a smug little smile on his face. You watch him try and do it again, but this time, you fight back and try to nip his fingers with your beak. He flinches his hand back and then throws more bread crumbs at you before sulking again and feeding the other birds in front of him.

You scoff softly and move to stand on the back of the bench.

"Stupid pigeons. They're not as fun as me, you know."

Dream doesn't respond. You wonder what's on his mind. You wish he would talk to you.

A ball comes flying from the game being played, and Morpheus catches it one hand. You look up at him in awe. It makes sense he would be able to catch it like it did, but it still impressed you. Morpheus impressed you.

The young man playing the game came over and apologised. He looks at you and then back at Morpheus. He obviously finds it strange that this grown man is sitting on a bench with a bird, but you talking would definitely make it weirder.

He takes the ball and returns to the game.

You look up in time to see his sister walking over. She smiles at you before taking a seat on the bench. A moment of silence passes between the siblings before she speaks.

"What you doing?"

"I'm feeding the pigeons," he replies.

Death looks at you before looking back at her brother. She can tell something is wrong.

"You do that too much, you know what you get?"

Morpheus shakes his head gently.

"Fat pigeons." She smiles. "That's from Mary Poppins. Did you ever see it?"

"No."

A little girl runs past through the birds and startles them. You watch her go. Death smiles as she watches her go, too.

Morpheus is very silent. Death looks at her brother and asks, "what's the matter?"

"What do you mean?"

"She means she knows something is wrong. Look at you." You flap your wings and land on his head. His hair is soft under your little feet. You look down at him. "You're brooding."

He looks up at you and sighs. It felt strange having you on his head like this. You've never done that before. Perhaps you're getting a little bold these days.

Like when you hugged him.

Death chuckles softly. "Your dear raven is right. I know you, Dream."

"I don't know what's wrong, but... You're right. Something is the matter."

Death sits back and shows him she's listening. You remove yourself from atop his head and occupy the little space between them.

"When they captured me, I just had one thought. Vengeance. It wasn't as satisfying as I'd expected. Meanwhile, my kingdom had fallen apart. My tools long since stolen and scattered. And so I embarked upon a journey to find them. Which I did. I'm now more powerful than I have been in eons. And yet..."

He goes silent. Death understands. She leans forward again. "Here you are, feeding the pigeons."

"You see, until then, I'd had a true quest. A purpose beyond my function, and then suddenly, it was over, and... I felt disappointed. Let down. Empty."

You look up at Morpheus as he speaks from the heart. You feel sad he couldn't confide in you about any of this, but at least he has his sister to talk to. You resist the urge to nuzzle his arm with your head to comfort him.

"Does that make sense?" He asks, looking at his sister. "I was so sure that once I got everything back, I'd feel good. But in some ways, I feel worse than when I started. I feel like... Nothing. There. You asked."

You hop up onto his knee and look up at him. He glances down at you. Death smiles at you. She always knew you two shared a close bond. She can see there's something new in his eyes when he looks at you.

"You could have called me, you know." Death tells him.

"I didn't want to worry you." He says back.

"Oh, I don't believe it. Let me tell you something, Dream." She takes the bread from his hand. You hop off his knee and look up at Death. "And I'm only going to say this once, so you better pay attention. You are utterly the stupidest, most self-centered, pathetic excuse for an anthropomorphic personification on this or any other plane. Feeling sorry for yourself because your little game is over and you haven't got the balls to go out and find a new one. You're as bad as Desire. No, worse."

Death throws the bread back at him, and he catches it. You laugh. Dream looks at you as if you had betrayed him. You stop laughing and look at him sheepishly.

"Has he been like this the entire time?" Death asks.

"Mostly. I mean, he did help me a lot, but even that finished..." You say. "He's been helping me with my transformations."

"Transformations?" Death asks.

"Yeah. I have a human form now." You tell her.

"You do? Interesting." She smiles. "How is life treating you then?"

"Uh, fine. I've... I've been through a lot, but I suppose everyone in the Dreaming has."

Death continues to smile at you and then looks at her brother. She sighs. "Did it never occur to you that I would be worried about you?" She asks.

"I didn't think you-"

"Exactly. You didn't think."

The ball comes flying again, and this time, Death catches it. Morpheus lowers his gaze to pigeons in front of him. While Franklin, the young man playing ball, talks to Death, you look at Morpheus.

"You're as good as your... friend there."

"He's not my friend. He's my brother. And he's an idiot."

You resist laughing while the mortal is present. Morpheus knows you want to react to that.

"I'm just feeding the birds." Morpheus says.

"Look, I can't stay here all day. I've got work to do. You can come with me if you want, or you can stay here and sulk." Death tells him.

"I'll come with you, I suppose." He replies.

"Well, don't do me any favours." She smiles at him. As Morpheus rises she chuckles.

You prepare to fly off back to the Dreaming when Morpheus turns around and looks at you. "Aren't you coming too?" He asks.

You look up at him and then at Death.

"Uh... won't it be strange if I'm flying behind you all the time?"

"You could come with me as a human. You mastered that ability." He says.

"Yeah, but... I... Don't you prefer it when I'm a raven?" You ruffle your feathers.

"I like you in any form." He says to you softly.

"Oh. Uh..."

Death smiles softly. "You're welcome to come too. I'd quite like to see the new you."

You feel embarrassed. There's a look in Dream's eyes that tells you he really wants you to come with him.

You sigh and fly behind the tree nearby. As you come back around, you're human again. You're wearing the clothes Dream gave you. You look up shyly at the siblings.

Death looks really excited at seeing you like this.

Dream looks... happy. His eyes seem to light up.

You follow them awkwardly. As Death says, she'll see Franklin soon.

Morpheus glances at you behind them, wondering if his request for you to join them made you uncomfortable. You look nervous. Shy, even.

Death takes you both on a walk. It's a sunny day, and there's lots of things going on here and there. She stops at a stall and looks at the apple.

"Three please."

"None for me, thank you," Morpheus says.

"You could have it later," Death suggests. He just looks at her. "Just two then."

The vendor chooses 2 apples for her and hands them over. She smiles and turns, holding one out for you.

You look at it.

"Go on, you'll like it." She smiles at you.

You glance up at Morpheus, who watches you silently. You reach out and take the apple. Death smiles and loops her arm with her brother as they continue walking. She bites into the apple.

You stare at yours. You haven't really done anything human. It didn't dawn on you to try. You bring the apple to your lips and take a bite. It's juicy and crunchy. You chew it slowly, tasting it.

You don't miss the way the siblings glance at you before carrying on.

You chew the apple slowly. You like it.

"You are good with them," Morpheus says to his sister.

"Apples?"

"Humans." He clarifies.

Death holds up the apple to him. "Bite?"

"No, thank you."

You take another bite from your own apple, savouring the taste. You may not have experienced a lot of human foods, but you think apples might be your favourite.

"Have you seen any of the others since you've been back?" Death asks Dream. He confirms he hasn't. Death mentions the last dinner they had together.

You continue to enjoy the apple as you look around and follow them. All these people around you were going places, doing things. You were experiencing life in the waking world for the first time properly. Sure, you've been here as a raven, but you never really took the time to just enjoy it. To watch them.

Maybe this human side of you would help you learn more about them.

You hear Death tell Dream he was missed, along with their missing brother who left some time ago. When he keeps quiet, she teases him by pretending he's asking her questions and then she answers them.

You smile. It must be nice having a sibling.

Morpheus finds it amusing and looks at her, asking, "How are you, my sister? How have you been keeping?"

"I'm worried about my brother." She replies. "And I'm enjoying this apple." She turns around and looks at you. "You enjoying yours?" She asks.

"Oh, yes." You nod. She can see you've eaten more than half of it. She smiles.

"Don't hide back there. Come join us. He has two arms, you know." She chuckles.

You feel yourself become shy again. You're not sure what's got into you. Normally, you don't become so embarrassed. You decide to join them on Dream's other side, but you don't dare touch him.

Morpheus notices this.

As you walk a little further along, you hear violin music coming from an open window above you. The three of you stop to listen.

"I know this piece." Morpheus says softly. "I haven't heard it in 200 years."

"Come on." Death urges him softly to follow her. You fall behind them again, heading inside with the siblings.

You dispose of the last of your apple.

The violin music plays as you enter the apartment. When you reach the room, it's being played from, it stops as the man coughs. Death approaches the man.

"Don't stop, please." She says gently.

You stand behind Dream as you watch her talk to him. The conversation is gentle and warm. You've never seen her at work before. She's so delicate and comforting with them.

She lets the man say a prayer before he takes her hand.

Morpheus looks at you as she goes into the other room with him. You can hear her wings.

"Are you alright?" He asks.

You look up at him. "Yes."

Death returns. You smile at her. She smiles at you. She reaches for your arm this time, and you walk with her back outside.

"Does my brother treat you well?" She asks as you walk along a bridge.

"Yes. He's a very good ruler, and I do my best to serve him as he expects." You say to her.

"But is that all?"

"What do you mean?" You look at her. You're aware of Dream following you both from behind. Surely he can hear you both talk.

"Did you ever question your death?"

You look at her. She smiles.

"Of course I did... I... Alex Burgess shot me. I died. Then I woke up in the Dreaming... as a human..."

Death's smile remains on her face. "That was me."

"Huh?"

Dream raises his head up when he hears that. He was listening.

"You have served my brother since the very beginning. You've seen all he has seen. You have been by his side all this time."

"Yes..."

"He relies on you. He cares for you. There is no bond with the one you both have together. So, how can I ever take that away from him?" She asks.

"I don't understand..."

"I love my brother. I do. I want him to be happy." You wonder if she realises he can hear all this. "Taking you away broke him, so I had to give you back."

You stare at her as you both come to a stop. She begins to remove her boots. You glance behind you and find Morpheus looking at you. You turn away.

Death doesn't say any more on the matter. She leads the way down to a grassy bank. You find yourself walking beside Dream again.

A young man has drowned in the canal. You watch Death do her job.

"Did you know?" You ask, not looking at Morpheus.

"No."

You watch the wife of the man run to her husband's body and cry. People gather around. You drop your gaze.

"But I am glad," Dream says.

You lift your eyes to look at him. The sound of wings flapping in the background.

Death watches you both from where she stands. The way her brother looks at you can't possibly be mistaken for anything else. She smiles softly. You two still have so much to learn about each other.

You end up following the siblings again while they talk. Dream tells Death it was her Burgess was after. She knew.

He then asks her how she's does it.

Death confides in him about how she feels about her role. "I have a job to do. And I do it. When the first living thing existed, I was there. When the last living thing dies, I'll put the chairs on the table, turn out the lights and... lock the universe behind me when I leave."

You listen to her talk. A part of you wonders what it would be like if she were your master. How would you contribute to her role. What would it be like to be there when people die.

"I'm not there for all of them. There are exceptions." She says. "Mad Hettie. And then there's your ongoing project."

You look up when she says that.

"How's he faring up after all this time?"

"Who? Hob Gadling?"

You smile. It's been a while since you saw Hob. You smile at all the times you would have to sit outside on the windowsill listening to Hob and Dream talk.

"I was forced to miss our last appointment." Dream tells her.

"Well, I'm sure he'd love to see you." Death looks at him. "Maybe take her with you. She could meet him properly."

Dream knows Death is talking about you.

"They're never too keen to see me, though."

"Does it not bother you?" Dream asks.

"I actually used to think I had the hardest job in all our family."

"Oh, did you?" Dreams looks amused.

"They fear the Sunless Lands, yet they enter your realm every night without fear."

"And yet I am far more terrible than you." He says.

You chuckle softly. He hears your laughter and smiles softly. He did that. He made you laugh.

They talk some more. A they do, you begin to wonder more about the world and the people. You've seen their dreams. Their hopes and fears.

You wouldn't mind spending more time among them, watching and learning.

You hear Death confess that she had thought about giving up. Dream looks bewildered by her statement.

You follow her into a house and find yourself freezing at the door. Morpheus sees the crib and then looks at you. Death gives you an apologetic look as she picks up the baby.

Morpheus comes to stand in front of you. You find yourself startled as he reaches for your hand. You look up at him.

The sound of wings fills the back of your mind.

Life was unfair sometimes.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

You nod silently.

His hand doesn't leave yours. Not even when you both leave the house with Death. You've fallen quieter than him. He keeps an eye on you as you walk. Your hand in his.

He remains beside you as you continue to follow Death. Dream learns a lot from his sister. He learns a lot about humanity. He learns a lot about you.

The way people react to his sister's gift. The way she smiles and gives them her hand.

Life and death.

He sees the way you watch her. The way you watch the people. Every single one is different. Different backgrounds, different releions, different stories.

He wonders if you like being human, or do you still prefer your feathers and your wings.

Eventually, you slowly start to make your way back to the park. You're wrapped your arm around Dream's, having not let go of him the entire time.

Death walks beside him, talking to him still.

"I used to think I had to do this all by myself."

"But you do."

"No. At the end, I'm there with them. I'm holding their hand and they're holding mine. I'm not alone when I'm doing my job. And neither are you. Think about it. The only reason we even exist, you and I, and Desire and Despair, the whole family. We're here to serve them."

Dream listens to her.

"It isn't about quests or finding purpose outside our function. Our purpose is pur function. We're here for them. Since I figured that out, I realised I need them as much as they need me."

Morpheus seems pleased by her words.

"I've seen so many cool things and people and worlds. I've learned so much. Lots of people don't have a job they love doing, do they? So, I think I'm really very lucky."

You smile. She liked her job. You like yours. You glance up at Morpheus, who looks like he's thinking. You like being his raven, his companion.

"Listen, I've got to head back soon."

Morpheus takes her hand with his free one and looks at his sister. "You've taught me something I have forgotten. I thank you, my sister."

Death smiles at Dream.

"Aw. That's what family's about, little brother."

Death turns her gaze to you, who still slings to her brother's arm. "Look after him, won't you?"

You smile. "Yeah. I will."

She then turns back to Dream. "And you look after her. You lost her once. Don't let her get harmed again."

"I have no intention of it," Dream says. He looks at you softly.

There's a screech of a car, and then Franklin comes over when he sees Death and starts talking to her. Dream smiles and starts guiding you away.

Death calls out to him. "Don't be a stranger, okay?"

He nods and continues leading you away.

"Where are we going?" You ask softly.

"I'm late for an appointment, and I want you to come with me." He says.

You smile as you walk with him.

Aaron Hotchner X Derek Morgan X ADHD Autistic teen reader

Summary: Aaron Hotchner and Derek Morgan interrogate a 14 year old daughter of Unsub who has ADHD and is autistic, she was abused by her father her whole life. A bomb gets set off and she protects them

Third person pov...

14 year old Y/N had been in a small interrogation room for the last hour alone, your probably wondering how she knows that because she's been keeping count in her head.

Early on that day the police came looking for her farther but he wasn't there, instead she got taken to the police station and handcuffed (after she accidentally lashed out when they touched her) she's autistic and doesn't like touch- the police didn't listen when she tried to explain to them.

So here she sits, for the last 5 minutes she has been tapping her foot repeatedly on the floor, she has ADHD and couldn't sit still for long, but she was handcuffed to the table so she couldn't stand up and stim.

She then started humming the same tune over and over and over until a man shouts at her to shut up over the com. "Someone's grumpy" she mutters, deciding to go back to tapping her foot repeatedly.

She was beginning to get overwhelmed with everything. "Can I go now please?" She asks into the room but obviously towards the two way mirror.

She got no response. "Please, I don't like it here" she whispers shouting not going to work she realised, suddenly the door is opened two men walk in.

Y/N tenses, with her dad she doesn't like being around men, angling her body away from them she waits until they speak.

Eyebrows slams a files down on the table making her flinch at the loud sound, the Grumpy looking man just stares. "What- Do you know what these are?" He demands, Y/N shakes her head not looking at the man.

She looks down then shuts her eyes. "N-no I don't please" she cries squeezing her eyes shut not wanting to look at the pictures, they where of the victims died in the bombings that happened.

"I don't like it here" she cries pulling on the cuffs trying desperately to yank them off, eyebrows tries to grab her to stop but she kicks out. "No don't touch" she cries almost in hysterics.

Eyebrows holds up his hands and moved out of reach. "Okay I won't touch you, we won't touch you Y/N" he says teying desperately to calm her down.

Grumpy pants- as Y/N dubbed, walked out of the room putting his phone tk his ear, Hotch calls Penelope. "Yello" "Garica, Y/N L/Ns file does it have anything about mental disorders or anything like that?" He asks confused with the girls strong reactions.

After a few seconds Penelope gets back. "It says here that she is Autistic and has ADHD sir" Hotch thinks "that makes sense, thanks Garica" "your welcome Bossman" Hotch then walks back into the room.

"Can I have these off now please?" She asks, her voice quiet like she expected to be shouted at. Derek looks ar Hotch the man nods his head. "Sure" he says and unlocks Y/N hands.

The 14 year old instantly jumps up from the desk, absently rubbing her red wrists, she begins pacing back and forth flapping her hands. The men watch her as she stims.

"We just want to talk to you about your father." Says Hotch, Y/N stops stimming and looked up at them with wide, frightened eyes.

She was small in stature, but her piercing gaze held a hint of strength that took the two seasoned agents by surprise. "My father is a monster" she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Hotchner and Morgan exchanged a knowing glance. They had seen this before – the child of an Unsub who had been subjected to unimaginable abuse and trauma.

"Y/N does you father treat you well?" Asks Derek carefully, Y/N looks down she nervously rings her fingers as she thinks.

"He doesn't" she confesses. "He hates that I'm different, he thinks it's wrong and tries to beat the 'retardness' out of me" she confesses crying as she paces back and forth in the little space.

Hotch and Morgan eye each other from the corner of their eyes then look at Y/N.

"We know, hes a monster which is why we need to find him" Morgan replied gently. 'But we need your help to find him. We believe he may be planning to harm more people.'

Y/N hesitated for a moment, chewing on her bottom lip as she thought. Then she reached into her pocket and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper. It was a map, with a clearly marked location circled in red.

'That's where he's keeping his bombs" she said, sliding the paper across the table. Hotchner and Morgan looked at each other in shock.

They had been searching for those bombs for weeks, and here it was, handed to them by a scared teenage girl.

They immediately sprang into action, calling for backup and racing to the location. But as they arrived, they realized that Y/N had also been telling the truth about another thing – her father had taught her how to make bombs.

Before they could even process the situation, a loud explosion ripped through the air. Hotchner and Morgan were thrown back by the blast, but they were quickly pulled to safety by Y/N who had shielded them with her own body.

She lay unconscious, her small frame protecting them from the debris, Y/N was rushed to the hospital, and after a few days, she regained consciousness.

Hotchner and Morgan were there, by her bedside, along with a team of doctors and nurses who were amazed by her bravery.

"We couldn't have stopped him without you,' Hotchner said, his voice filled with sincerity, the girl looked up at them and smiled weakly. "Can I be part of your team now?" She asked, her eyes sparkling with hope.

Hotchner and Morgan shared a smile, knowing that Y/N had found a new family in the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Despite the darkness of her past, she had shown courage and strength that they had rarely seen before.

And as they welcomed her into their team, they knew that together, they could take on anything that came their way.

You and Me Forever II: Tsu'tey

Six years. Six beautiful and happy years with Tsu'tey, where do you even begin? Well for starters, Tsu'tey was Jake's second in command and was in charge of training the new warriors and you were one of the main healers of the clan. The main thing that had changed for you two while you guys waited for your avatar to grow, was that you two had adopted Spider as your own. 

You two had been in the lab talking with Max and Norm about how your avatar was growing and what would happen once it was grown and everything when you heard the sound of familiar footsteps running towards you.

"Y/n!" You heard making a smile appear on your face as you bend down and picked up Spider. 

"How are you, my gorgeous boy?" You asked him as Tsu'tey watched with a smile as Spider talked to you.

"You can touch him, babe, he's not gonna break." You said looking at Tsu'tey who was very worried about touching the child due to the major size difference. 

Tsu'tey ran a hand through the boy's hair which made Spider smile as he looked at him before turning his attention toward you. 

"Is this the kid everyone's been referring to including you?" He asked you as you sighed. 

"Yes but that ass isn't his father, as far as I'm concerned, he's an orphan like me 'Tey, he doesn't have anyone, these guys barely remember he exists most days." You said which made Tsu'tey frown, the child didn't deserve that kinda treatment. 

"We could adopt him, take care of him as our own." Tsu'tey said giving you a smile that made you smile. 

"Really? I was gonna ask you eventually but I just wanted you two to meet today." You said to him with a smile. 

"I don't want to wait a minute longer, I will talk with Jake about what we need to do so that he can live with us and go from there." He said looking at Spider with a smile already imagining what it would be like to raise the boy. 

"You hear that Spider? You gonna come to live with me and Tsu'tey?!" You asked him which made him smile. 

After talking with Jake, Tsu'tey with the help of Norm had extra masks and oxygen reserves brought over to his home for Spider. He also made some new toys for Spider since the ones he had made for Jake's kids when they visited you two were a little damaged.

Spider fit in so well with the village children often seen hanging around with Jake and Neytiri's kids, and you got to see a new side of Tsu'tey as a father which made you even more excited to have children with him. 

Currently, Tsu'tey was preparing for his hunting trip that him and Jake were taking some of the new warriors on, while Spider played with his toys and you worked on making a new necklace for Spider. 

"I'm gonna miss you both so much." Tsu'tey said hugging and kissing both you and Spider as he got ready for his hunting trip. 

"It's only a few days my love. I think we can manage, ain't that right buddy?" You asked your son who was playing with his toy ikran. 

"Yeah, but I'm gonna miss Daddy." He said looking making Tsu'tey smile. 

Oh yeah, Spider was a total daddy's boy, he was his father's shadow and Tsu'tey treated him as such making him his own bow and everything, though there were moments when he was a mama's boy as well. 

Tsu'tey had been gone a few days so far and you and Spider were doing well and still talked with him every night through the cell phone. The next day Max and Norm called you to let you know that your avatar was ready. After asking Neytiri if she could come with you so she left Neteyam and Kiri with Mo'at and came with you and Spider to the lab. 

"So basically you will go into the link pod with Norm who will be in his avatar and we will do some tests and whatnot just to make sure everything is functioning." Max said.

"Go ahead, I've got him." Neytiri said as Spider stood next to her watching what was happening. 

When you woke up, you allowed your eyes to adjust to the brightness, as you looked around and saw Norm and heard some of the scientists start asking you questions as you responded to them. You gently stood up before following Norm outside to where Max, Neytiri were waiting. 

"Oh my y/n, look at you." Neytiri said with a smile as she hugged you. 

"Think he will still find me pretty?" You asked her with a smile. 

"Absolutely but more importantly me and you can do more things together without me having to worry about you getting hurt." She said making you smile. 

"Mama?" Spider asked looking at you. 

"Yeah, it's me, buddy. What do you think?" You asked taking him in your arms. 

"You look so pretty like Aunt Neytiri!" He said making you both laugh as you hugged him.

"See if your son thinks you're pretty then I just know that Tsu'tey will think you are absolutely beautiful." She said giving you a smile.

Tsu'tey had returned from his hunting trip eager to see you and his son, he missed you guys so much while he was gone. After helping the warriors drop off the food from the hunt, he made his up the familiar staircase to his home.

"Daddy!" Spider said running over to his father who smiled and kneeled to his level. 

"Hey, buddy. Where's your mama at? Hmm?" He asked picking Spider up in his arms and looking around for his mate and Neytiri.

"Hi, Tsu'tey." Neytiri said to him taking Spider from his hands.

Summary:

So the whole gang are divorced, and meet through this support group. They gradually become friends, and help each other heal and shit. Some of the divorces were on good terms. Others, really not

[Joker] - divorced from Goro, who refused to get mental health help. Like, this was a dire thing, and from a mutual friend he's keeping track of how that's going. It wasn't healthy for him to stay, but he's still in love

[Ryuji] - his ex had a breakdown after the birth of their third child and left. No contact. Ryuji is doing his best to raise his three children on his own. His kids are Karudo (M8), Tei (F5) and Jun (Fbaby)

[Yusuke] - ex left because Yusuke cared more for his art. He is figuring out what being aro/ace is

[Futaba] - similar to Yusuke, but her ex, Kana, is still her friend and roommate

[Makoto] - split from her ex after he didn't approve of her leaving the force. They had a huge argument over it, and a really messy split. She has custody of their twins most of the time, but he gets every other weekend. As things progress, he loses time with them down to last weekend of the month, and eventually Makoto gets full custody after a huge scandal at his precinct is uncovered. The twins are Kishito (M6) and Rikito (M6)

[Haru] - she cheered when she found out her ex cheated. She was waiting for an excuse to leave his ass. She's known she's gay for years but didn't want to cause stress for her kids if she didn't have a good reason. She has full custody of them and gets support cheques every other month. the second he realized spider had been taken he was hunting down quaritch, he doesn't give two fucks what jake says, he's looking for that little shit. (context for the next part, I HC within this concept that tsu'tey was injured in the battle, but didn't die, so he's like disabled, and not in the best shape for a whole rescue mission, especially against the RDA). jakes trying of et him to stay home, offering to go out himself and tsu'teys like "oh, so now you care, know that you have to worry about me? why weren't you that willing to volunteer when a child was being held by those demons. I am going jake, I am getting me boy, and you will not be stopping me."

he almost cuts jakes throat out when he hears him worry more about spider giving up information then he is about spider's safety.

and then when he does track down spider (when the recoms are out in the field) he is wrapped up in both his relief and anger that he just scoops the boy up, baring his teeth to the team. he needs to hug his boy (and ease his own heart) before he can go about slaughtering them like animals.

though, I think if spider aked him to spare the team, to give them a chance to prove themselves as redeemed, to give them a chance to fight for The People, tsu-tey would, only cause he trusts and has a soft spot for the boy. does not quell his rage though ("I don't care if they changed, jake changed, and I still haven't stopped giving him shit. they hurt you, I get to be angry, skawng.")

Okay ok. First off love your work. Second of all I just got an imagine idea add on of the birth for the human MC x tsutey Drabble that I saw.

Also I’ve been trying watching a lot of Good Luck Charlie and THOSE old buzz feed videos about what it’s like giving birth so I decided that it would fit perfectly with the MC and Tsu’tey

Imagine that when she’s in labor she’s at that stage where she doesn’t want anyone else to bother her unless it is Moat (who knows what she’s doing and I’m saying only her because no one mentioned Norm Max or any scientist being there. I can imagine that they are not there cause MC wanted the birth natural to try to embrace her mate’s culture even more. And also she’s a strong woman).

Not to mention, she’s giving birth to a half Navi baby. So that 6 pounder is a 12 pounder! (Or more to be honest 😂 😭). Either way, pain and hormones are flying every where!

Anyways, since she is at that stage where everything hurts from contractions, being in labor for hours, not being able to eat so she doesn't want anybody to bother her.

Jake laughed as he pat his back in a friendly manner. “I did that when Neteyam was born. Only difference is that you had someone there to save you.”

Jake Sully smiled at the memory, “At first I offered Neytiri water. Then I kept going by trying to compliment her on how beautiful and how great she was doing. At the end, she almost stabbed me before pushing out Neteyam.”

Tsu’tey was beyond shocked and Jake smiled. “It’s best to give them a little space and we are there when they need us.”

Tsu’tey was about to respond until Spider came running.

“Dad! Mom says to come get you!”

With the speed of light, Tsu’tey picked up Spider and ran towards the birthing tent.

Secret Ending Three - Chapter Eight: Two Steps Forward

I'm getting really bored of this chapter..and I accidentally posted it instead of saving it as a draft so it's really annoying me to find it under all my posts. So I'll just write it so it's out my way -3- if I do it poorly, I can always edit it in AO3

I don't remember the last time I left the house this early. Rubbing our eyes, stomachs full on Yeonho's million course breakfast, it's still surreal to be out while the streets are so empty and the sun has barely even risen yet.

I do hate this sensation... I can't help but be reminded of when I was trapped in that world with my bear, without anyone else. The eerie quiet sends chills up and down my spine. I'm not sure who I'm trying to comfort when I instinctively grab his hand as we step out of the limo, huddling together for warmth.

After we all were standing on the pavement, waving goodbye to Yuri and Tei, I heard a sudden crunch, and then a loud gasp, and, "Nooooooooooooo!!"

I quickly turned around. "Yeonho?? Is everything alright??" I'm sure that must have been the loudest thing I've ever heard come from his mouth. Is he okay??

"What's wrong, Yeonho??" Red exclaimed, rushing over to him.

He's frozen, crouched onto the ground. It does remind me of when he found John the cat, but there isn't a cat, or even a creature in sight. "Noooooo!!" he cried again, and he reached out towards something on the ground. "I crushed a snail..!"

Oh... I hadn't noticed, nor do I think anyone else did at all, but if you look close enough, there lies the crushed shell of a snail next to his foot...

"Oh..! That's...um." Snails are a bit gross. I guess I'm glad it's not a spider.

"Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry, don't cry..." I hear Yeonho whispering to himself.

"Oh, it's just a snail. I thought you were hurt," Lance said coldly. "Then come on, let's keep going." With that, he turned back around and marched on towards the academy.

"It wasn't doing anything! Just because it's small doesn't mean we can just step on it!" Yeonho argued. He picks up the broken corpse gently and breathes in and out.

I never considered something like this before, but...I guess it is a bit sad, isn't it? Just because a snail is gross or you can go your whole day without even thinking about one, does that really mean that it's death is meaningless? I don't know... I've never thought about it before.

"That's really thoughtful, Yeonho. You didn't mean to do it though, you shouldn't feel too bad about it," I said, patting his shoulder as a way to comfort him.

"Thank you, Eri," he replied, trying to smile. But he frowned sadly again as he walked towards, but not through, the school gate. I watched him kneel down at the grass, whispering "ashes to ashes, dust to dust," apparently giving the snail a tiny funeral. He, Red and I all bowed our heads in respect. My bear followed suit afterwards.

Once ready, Yeonho led the way to catch up with Lance, and my bear nudged me and whispered, "that was weird."

"Yeah. It was, wasn't it? But it was a bit cute that we did it together," I giggled, taking Red's hand and walking through the school gates. My bear just nodded in response.

The halls are so empty this early and the clouds outside so grey, it's hard to believe it's even a school day. But the five of us all make our way to freshman class N to start the day.

"Are you excited to start school?" Red asked my bear. "I won't be able to be with you guys all day, since I go to a different classroom, but see you again at lunchtime!"

"I guess," my bear responds, clinging to my side. I think he's a bit shy, but he'll warm up to everything eventually, I'm sure.

"Then I'll see you later, okay? I gotta go speak to the drama club president quickly, so I'll let you guys get on with your tour of the school," said Red, waving. I worry slightly about him leaving my side, but I won't be alone.

"Please familiarise yourself with your surroundings," Lance says to my bear, dumping his schoolbag under his seat and putting on his teacher voice. "This is the classroom you will be spending the most time in. If you get lost or forget where to go, do not worry. You can always ask the students around you or any teachers about where you're meant to be. Shall we give you a tour of the rest of the building?"

My teddy was about to respond, hopefully a yes, but we were interrupted by a hesitant knock at the classroom door. We all turned to see a senior shyly open it and stare at us with wide eyes. We're the only ones in the classroom yet. What's she doing here?

"Um. Excuse me." Her voice is quiet and her eyes only focus on the floor. "Um. You're Lance, right?"

He gave an exhausted sigh at the question. "Correct. And I am not interested if you are asking me out on a date. No exceptions."

"Um. No. It-it's not that," the girl stuttered, twisting a strand of hair around her fingers. "It's nothing like that. It's something else. I need to speak to you about something...important."

Maybe it's about his student government duties? He rolls his eyes, clearly annoyed, and says finally, "alright. But make it quick."

"I- um- I... I'll try?" she stammered and followed him quickly out of the classroom.

I looked between my bear and Yeonho after he left and asked, "Yeonho, have you seen that girl anywhere before?" But he doesn't respond... "Yeonho?"

"Hm? Oh, uh no," he replied, startled, after turning away from the window. "Sorry. I was still thinking about that snail."

"Aw, I'm sure it's happy in snail heaven."

"I don't know if I believe in a heaven, but I do believe in a hell," my bear says.

Papers and posters decorate the four walls around him and he's especially captivated by a painting of a dandelion at the back of the classroom. "Don't we have this one at home?"

"Huh! Oh yeah, we do!" I replied. I don’t really look at the classroom that much so I hadn't noticed until he'd pointed it out. I follow him to the back and take a look myself.

The majority of the decorations are maths formulas, which would probably have helped me if I knew they were there. Eh, never mind.

But when I look closer at them... "Isn't that actually Lance's handwriting?" Am I wrong? All of the maths posters are written by Lance. I'm sure that's his handwriting.

"Oh yes, it is! I never noticed that before!" exclaimed Yeonho. "I'm sure in my world it was different. Wow, Lance... He did all of this?

"Hey, Lance!" Yeonho beamed, rushing out of the classroom to call him. He stuck his head out the door to look left and right. "... Lance?" But from what I could hear, there was no one there, not even the girl that called for him.

"Lance..?" I called into the void behind Yeonho. He said he'd be quick... "I guess he's gone."

"Hm," my bear mumbled and tugged at my sleeve. He looks all cute and bashful like that.

"You okay?"

"Eh... Are we still going to do that tour?" he asked without making eye contact. He keeps fiddling with my blazer like a little kid.

"Oh, um. I hope so. I have no idea when he might be back though, so I'm not sure. I'll text him-"

"You can't."

"Why not?"

"There," he said. His finger pointed towards Lance's seat. On it, Lance's phone.

"Oh... Um, he'll be back for it soon, right?"

"I don't know," Yeonho commented. "He might be going to a student government meeting. And plus, he has to do his discipline guide duties, so he probably won't be back in time."

Lance... What are we gonna do?

"Then...we'll look after his things for him while he's gone," I sighed. Sadly, I watched my bear's expression turn to a dejected frown. "Are you okay with that..?" Mute, he shrugged at me and kicked at the floor. Is he disappointed?

"Hey," called Yeonho, "don't be sad. We can still do it without him."

"... We can?"

"Yeah, of course! Lance knows the school like the back of his hand, but we know some stuff too! What do you think? Why don't the three of us go and show you around together?"

Offering a hand, Yeonho stood like a big brother above my bear with a kind smile on his face. Hesitantly, he looked to me for reassurance and slowly took the hand given to him... Since when did my dolls get so cute??

And just like that, the day went just as smoothly as planned. The tour went just fine, but although we searched most of the classrooms, we still couldn't find Lance... Will he be okay wherever he is?

By the time all the other students had started filing in, we're already finished touring and are sat chatting in the classroom, waiting for everyone else. I check my phone but when I look at Lance's desk, his phone is still sitting there, exactly where we left it.

The bell rings. It's the start of our first class of the day and the start of my bear's first class ever. But I start to worry when the teacher begins the lesson and there are still people who are missing...

Where are Soi and Shinbi?

I send them a text on our new group chat: "Hey guys! Lesson's already started and there's someone I want you to meet. Are you not in today?"

"Do you- Uh...um," I start to my bear on my right, about to ask him about Soi and Shinbi, but I don't know what to say when I look at him trying to write the date in his notebook. Does he know how to hold a pen properly?

"Hey," I say, and I take the pen from him. "You should hold it like this. See?" I explain, modelling the grip with his pen. "It's easier to control it like this, where you put it between your thumb and forefinger like that. You try."

"Okay..." he said, looking a bit annoyed, but he obeyed anyway and tried holding it how I showed him...awkwardly. He frowns at the page and sticks his tongue out, pen shaking in his hand. Has he broken a sweat? Oh dear... I think the handwriting was better before.

"You know what, if its hard for you, you don't have to do it that way. I just thought it would help, but you should just do it whatever way you feel comfortable with." Would Lance have dealt with this situation better? Whoops.

Snatching my attention away comes the vibrating desk from the notification on my phone. A message on the group chat from Soi: "sick".

Hmm... Well that's sad! I wonder why she didn't tell me. But the chat is showing that Shinbi's read the message as well, does that mean she's sick too, since they live together?

I write back: "Oh no! Hope you get better soon, want me to take notes for you?" The light to show that the message was read displays brightly and instantly, but I don't get another message on the chat, not for the rest of the entire day...

The bell rings for lunch, and, "Eri," I hear. Caught up in my thoughts about Soi and Shinbi, Yeonho calls me.

"I've got a surprise," he beams, the biggest smile on his face I think I've ever seen him show. He opens his bag. "You looked a little down for some reason. I hope this can cheer you up."

Two cute bento boxes are revealed and set out onto our desks before he pushes our desks together so that we can all eat right next to each other. He also pulls from his bag two little flatware sets decorated with cute characters - mine pink, my bear's purple. Adorable!

"Oh, Yeonho! I didn't know you did this, that's so nice!" I cry, witnessing the arrangement in the boxes of vegetable, fish and rice. My favourite bibimbap. "Yes, I didn't want the first day back to be too stressful with dealing with the cafeteria so I made this for you guys," he smiled, clearly proud of himself in his own little adorable way.

"That's really kind of you," I said, taking out my chopsticks. "Oh, it's fine, you don't have to worry about it. I can do it every day if you like?" "Every day? Really, Yeonho??" My eyes widened. "Yeah." But Yeonho's face remained the same, calm and unfazed. "Yeonho, that's so..."

A little voice on my right. "... Thank you." I see my bear, spoon clutched in his right hand and the little lunchbox in his left. Already, grains of rice sticking to his lower lip, his face, eyes wider than the headlights, reminds me of a baby deer.

Yeonho reaches back into his bag and hands him a napkin with another sweet smile, and says, "you're welcome."

We continued the rest of the break, and the rest of the day, just perfectly. But I was surprised to see a text on our group chat from Lance...on Red's phone?
