Dozens of workers at Ontario’s public broadcaster walked off the job Monday morning after months of bargaining. “We’re living in a time where hard work is not paying off the way it used to for previous generations,” said Meredith Martin, TVO’s branch president with the Canadian Media Guild (CMG). The union represents around 70 journalists, producers and education workers at the Ontario organization. Some employees at the broadcaster are represented by Unifor and are not part of the current bargaining process.

I think we're firmly in also-ran territory here, but checking the release date maybe not. In "also-walked so others could also-run" territory, perhaps. Tries to radiate cool, tries to offer a unique processing of grief and guilt, but all in all lacks an emotional core, or much anything that sticks. It may have been an effort to examine the processing of loss by unemotional or emotionally indirect people, but to that end it felt distracted by a need to deliver moments of quirk and cool.

Your Tomorrow (dir. Ali Weinstein) x TIFF 2024.

TVO's documentary explores the history and future of Ontario Place as a cherished public space (est. 1971). Seen at ground level during its final days before a controversial redevelopment plan backed by Premier Doug Ford and his Progressive Conservative provincial government begins, audiences are immersed into an observational look at the waterfront park's last hurrah. It's an effective and wistful observant film that gets the sense of the community and place it's documenting.

Premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival as part of the TIFF Docs program.

You all don't believe how I lost my sanity while drawing that. It is my most detailed work and the longest I ever took to draw. Over 12 hours.

Anyways...

Barbara is the sun goddess, bringing light into the world. Walter it the moon god and brings darkness over the world. Two individuals that are considered too different to get along, however, unbeknown to yearn for each other.

Their outfits are inspired by Gods in all kinds of mythology and obviously my own touch. Both wear a headband-like crown with a moon/sun. They are obviously themed in their colors, however, their eyes are supposed to represent each other. Walter’s eyes grow in a bright yellow while hers show a soft blue. (Obviously it is from canon, tho I thought it was a nice addition to make)

I can't say much about the AU beside the fact that I LOVE IT. My writing explains the World building much better...sooo
