Again, a few more ideas

Walter can change is looks based on the seasons.

Spring/Summer

So the plan was that walter changes depending on what time in the year it is.

His Feathers/Leaf things should be longer in Summer but all of those are just basically recollours of the spring version bc I didn't have the time to do it all and redraw. I might do it one day after Stricklake month but I can't promise.

So his spring colours are more muted and soft, I also like them the most. He is much more gentle appearing. His Summer colours are deeper thought I am not fully happy with them, if I happen to redraw it all I will defined change the Summer version. As said, he is generally bigger in summer.

Autum/Spring /Winter

His Autum version and Spring version should be VERY Different actually.

In Autum his colours are obviously more brown/reddish with a hint of green. I actually planned his Feather/Leaf thingys to be a bit ripped with holes in it and generally looking like Autum leaves, it's my second favourite. He is also a bit smaller then.

In winter he is smallest t and technically bald. But I might do that there is the base of the leaves/Feather stuff so he won't look to weird.

Obviously there are in between transitions but I don't care. Also, the closeups are done fast and generally just quick so the Colours don't 100% match with the full body version. Sorry for that.

Information

Nothing much to say about Barbara, she is just a Water Fairy. But Walter...oh boy Walter. Wellll:

Walter is a Fae creature. His wings are half ripped off due to a fight with the Trollhunter. Yes, Walter is still a Trollish creature and still a changeling, his apperance changes with the Seasons tho.

Walter is part of the creatures that are known for eating other Fae creatures, mostly animals, wich is already a big no no for the Fairy's but they also do eat Fairys. Walter only ate animals up to this point but he does lure Fairys for his big Master Gunmar.

Morgana is a dark Fairy in this, using dark magic by killing mythical animals and creating changelings. Gunmar loyal to Morgana and so he has some hypnotic powers towards the changelings so he can keep them under his control. Because infact most changelings aren't really that interested into Fairys, they only do because Gunmar must build strength to free Morgana.

Barbara knows of the legends but never truly believed in them. So when she met Walter, she was a bit oblivious and actually tried to communicate. They managed to do so and met from time to time, falling in love as well. Barbara can also heal with water.

Walter was just curious at first but slowly got to know her. She broke part of Gunmars hypnosis and Walter began to question loyalty. He only feels betrayal after Gunmar tells him that the Trollhunter and the one who broke his wings is Jim. Walter lost them just a few months before meeting Barbara, he only lost them because he was protecting a younger Changeling. Jim mistook the hostility as an attack.

Walter then tries to lure Barbara in but changes his mind last minute but it's too late, she get's captured and feels betrayed. Walter runs off to find Jim and despite hating each other they work together and manage to safe Barbara.

This scene in the picture is in early spring just a few weeks after they met, just chilling at the Walter.

Some might have seen it but Walter doesn't have a mouth in this picture. So he normally also doesn't have one because Changelings were actually pacifistic and creatures and feed off of dead creatures Souls. However, Morgana twisted them. So the changelings normally don't have a mouth unless they want to feed, it basically that their face suddenly breaks apart into four big Mouth pices. To understand it better, I refrenced the Monster from Season 1-2 of stranger things.

anyways... They also look like a flower when their head feathers are up.

Concepts and Ideas

With the blue design bc I wanna show it off.

Lighting and Barbara

So, I do have some lighting Problems, as you can see, I didn't light them the way the fire should in such a scene. It's simply because I've never done it before and I struggled with it. I also figured it might take away from the picture. I also hope procreate doesn’t mess up my graphics.

Barbara's anatomy is also wrong, I know that. However, I still struggle with it so please don't think too much of it. I redid it multiple times but this was the happiest I've been with all the results. I am still learning difficult angles and not just the basic ones I usually do.

And yes, Barbara wouldn't wear taht outfit or her hair like that in canon. BUT THIS ISN'T CANON IT'S AN AU SO JUST GO WITH THE FLOW OK. She is just so hard to draw.

Also, no, she doesn't have Glasses in this...BUT JUST ACCEPT IT'S MAGIG. Yes, the stone still changes her outfit and she wears it under her normal clothes. Anytime she needs to change, the stone does it. It's supposed to be assassin like, not fighter.

Walter

First of, Walter's form should have been much more bigger and he was supposed to have fur on his back up to his hair and shoulders with the spikes (That are inspired by stalking ones) I the middle of his spine. I ended up changing it, as well as spikes around his neck because is couldn't fully figure it out with the angle and I wanted to finish it in time. I will just excuse it with the fact that this isn't Walter's final form because his body changes with each transformation.

The ribs outside of his body is basically a second pair of ribs because...it looked cool. I saw it on other designs of creatures and wanted to integrate it.

His black markings slowly turn over his whole body until is stone gets darker and his whole body turns black/really dark green.

The green markings just show that he is using his strength and the glow when he is angry or generally in a state of aggression/fighting.

Walter's eyes are normally black and green but the more he looses control and becomes morganas monster, the more he changes. His eyes will eventually just turn completely black when his mind and will is gone but for now he stays red. His horns are btw also good for fighting and he can run into people and kill them easily, they will also grow.

His tale has spikes as well and he uses it to fight. He can throw his tail spikes or use it like a the Razorwhip from httyd and slize through things. It depends on how he wants to fight.

That's basically it. I might draw a full version of his final designs once Stricklake month is over and if I have the time and desire to do so. You can tell me if you want to, if not, then I might not. But here are changes I would make in his final design:

• Bigger and more broken wings. Also, mini wings between his hind legs and tail so he looks a bit more dragon like.

• His general build, longer and thiner limbs. And maybe a slightly longer snout.

• Bigger and sharper horns/spikes. Spikes around his neck.

• Fur from his hair over hsi shoulder blades, spine and to his tail. Maybe even spreading a bit over his wings.

• Darker body colours, black eyes.

So, basically not much but I try to summarise it.

Barbara found a Magic gem stone that gives her Powers to defeat evil trolls. She can fight and hurt them, basically has some Sunlight powers. However, her Power level depends on how tired or energetic she is and she generally tries to be a pacifist and rarely actually kills them. She also has more body strength and can be more energetic through the day but she gets tired eventually from both Hospital, occasional dates and being a secret Hero. She has magic weapons like with daylight as well and can summon them. She can either heal herself or kill a GummGumm/Changeling but not both bc it drains her.

Strickler turned into a changeling a year ago. Morgana found him half dead after an suicide attempt. Walter lost his child during a fight of the "Trollhunter" and a Stalking. He could safe his child from a falling build and the Trollhunter didn't safe them as well. So Walter resents abnormalities. Morgana used this hatred, his battered mind/body and her magic to manipulate Walter into thinking the Trollhunter is evil and Walter willingly teams up with her to become the very thing he used to hate.

Barbara still has Jim, thought Jim is much younger, assumingly between 8-10, but he isn't aware of what happens. Blinky is still Barbara's secret trainer and Merlin is in a sleep but can communicate through the crystal. Barbara is unaware of Stricklers loss but she does know she hasn't managed to safe everyone. She is still working at the hospital, but only day shifts while Jin is in school and sometimes with her Boyfriend Walter...who is secretly her biggest enemy.

Walter still works in school but often picks Jim up and takes care of him. After a while he begins to put two and two together and assumes Barbara must be the Trollhunter wich conflicts him. Because on one hand, she is Wonderful, so is her...-maybe his future son Jim. But then the pain of his loss overwhelms him and Morganas voice is a constant companion.

When Walter is in his trollform, he looses a bit of his consciousness each transformation and often wakes up, unsure what happened. It's more like a blurry dream and he often only realises how bad it's been after he sees Barbara the day after. He gets more violent, animalistic and aggressive with each transformation. He grows bigger, more dangerous and he fears that someday he won't turn human again. He slowly doubts Morgana, but soon he realises he can't step out of his deal...and that his next mission might be to kill what the Trollhunter loves most. Her child.

Barbara does know that Walter acts, that he refuses to stay at night and it all adds up when she finds his apartment destroyed with clawmarks and her enemy standing in the room, calling out her real name and pleading for help before his mind get's taken.

Information/My words:

Yes, having Walter to be the Villain is basic. Yes, him loosing his child and resenting the hero is a basic trope but cut me some slack. I am done guys.

Also, it is fun to write. Walter btw had a Son and his name was Ash, he was just 7 years old at the time he died. The Mother was some random one night stand who didn't want to care for the child bc idk what to do with her. Ash is an OC of mine. I have quite a few child OCs due to both Arcane stories and a Story of Stricklake keeping a few children from the darklands.

Walter and Barbara were dating around a two years after Ash's death and like Barbara just became Trollhunter when it happened. I haven't planned everything out to 100%. However, Barbara is aware that Walter doesn't like the Trollhunter aka her and she does have struggles with the guilt of it.

Villain Walter is just fun, I can redesign him every time. I love troll Walter. And yes, sadly, he has no piercings this time. I KNOW, I KNOW...an angle lost it's wings today... also no croptop 😔

Summary: Walter struggles to focus in class, distracted by thoughts of his girlfriend, Barbara. After the lecture, he waits for her outside her exam and overhears guys making crude comments about her, which angers him. When Barbara joins him, they talk about her exam and their plans for a quiet evening together.
