i've been a touch hesitant to make this post buuuut--

i think most shipping with lucanis is best done post-veilguard. truth be told, he's not in the right headspace during the game to really entertain the idea of a romantic partner. it's not that he doesn't want romance, nor that he wouldn't grow romantically fond of someone, but he is literally fresh out of a year in prison, has a spirit inside him that wants to break free and do maker knows what in the world, and his grandmother essentially dies as soon as he gets back. not to mention y'know. the fucking main plot of the game.

the man is, rightfully, fully preoccupied.

on top of that, he's demi. he wants to take a romance slow. he wants to build trust and familiarity. he wants to know his partner deeply. additionally, he's not exactly living a peaceful life, nor will he ever leave the crows. best case, he's going back to the crows as first talon and maybe a peaceful transition. worst, it's going to be struggle and infighting and everyone jumping on top of each other in power grabs while others are weak. especially on house dellamorte. and the first talon's new lover will absolutely be a target. he needs to know that his lover can protect themselves when he's not there.

and, truthfully, he needs his partner to understand that they will come second to leading the crows. lucanis takes responsibility very seriously. becoming first talon, becoming head of house dellamorte, those are massive responsibilities that he will not fail at. it will take nearly all his time and focus. his lover will not be his first priority (a very close second, for sure, but not everyone wants to play second fiddle to a job). he wants to take it slow to give them outs. to let them understand how things will go. he can compromise, to a degree, but being first talon comes before everything else.

and of course, spite is part of the package deal. he cannot be with someone who is uncomfortable around spite, and after veilguard, someone who is mean or insensitive to spite. lucanis has his hands full negotiating life with spite, and his lover needs to help with it, to a degree. that's not to say they need to bear the brunt of the burden, but lucanis needs help keeping spite from wandering away or understanding how much time has passed since spite took over.

he's got a lot on his plate still, after veilguard, and this isn't even touching the family aspect of it all with caterina and illario. which is all to say--lucanis might develop feelings, even strong feelings, during veilguard, but there's a lot of other things on his mind as well, and he doesn't want his potential lover to have to put up with his mess. he wants to feel like he can pull an equal weight. he doesn't want to trauma dump or have someone play therapist. he wants to put himself in order. and that takes time he doesn't have in veilguard.

the biggest change i'll say is that his romance scene, the night before the final battle, is less about sex and more about hand holding and quiet conversation and promises that if they make it through this, he wants more.

i finally watched aotv in full (i couldn’t finish it after babygate started to rear its nightmarish head bcos i have so much trauma from that time period) but if louis is the observer… then the reupload of aotv is interesting bcos in the intro he says some very key things:

in the first minutes he reflects on “the memories, the relationship” and says relationship SINGULAR as if there was one relationship that defined the band (sure he could’ve meant the relationship of the band but i don’t think so bcos he didn’t show an image of all the members) in fact he showed this image 👇🏻

of him with his arm around harry and zayn standing next to them (i feel zayn is so important to the shit that’s coming somehow beyond the fact he chose to leave the band like are we getting a collab or something bcos again why tf did the observer post zouis???)

ANYWAYS, so imo he wasn’t talking about his relationship with the band and if he was talking about eleanor he would’ve showed her. he didn’t.

WE KNOW thee relationship ™ that defined him is his relationship with harry. larry is probably the biggest fandom ship of all time and is a ship that’s still being talked about today. larry is the relationship that lead to his closeting and the terrible shit they had to endure.

zayn leaving the band freed the boys AND it also got the fandom on board with the reality that not everything was roses and management was a problem. i remember at the time before the fandom split into larries/antis/solos, it was mainly larries (not all but mainly) who were vocal about management. after zayn it became clear not all was what it seemed and it became clear we were being lied to for 5 years.

we know after the hiatus, the syco closet followed them so if louis is the observer maybe he wants us to rewatch this doc bcos it’s a watered down version of his story and he wants us to observe it again and connect the dots when we get the real story? (idk)

he also chose these shots of him and harry 👇🏻 (so many shots of harry when he’s talking about the band and yet harry makes no actual appearance in this doc? we know why zayn didn’t they weren’t speaking but what reason did harry have not to appear? exactly. and don’t give me that shit about love on tour….)

SO louis said the hiatus hit him like a ton of bricks and how he was not prepared for the change. i feel this is a nod to how they had to process and navigate their lives, but he still wouldn’t be free for 5 more years. also note how he glossed over WHY it was such a struggle for him to release his first album. all the blacklisting, media execs literally wanting his head on a pitchfork, none of it was mentioned and if i wasn’t deep in fandom lore i would be confused as hell why it was such a journey. and like i’ve said before— so much of what we’ve seen of harry has been the guise of freedom so long as it put money in the azoffs pockets it was never true freedom.

now if the observer is ushering in the lt3 era what if true freedom is about to happen and that’s the point of this refresher? fitf is over. louis broke his 4 year cycle + he didn’t tweet anything on the 28th. so why would he re-release something from an old era? it’s not like everyone was clamoring to watch the doc again?

i feel with liam’s death, it being 15 years since 1d formed, 10 years since they went on hiatus, so many old fans returning, so many new fans joining, something is different, almost cosmic, and something feels like it’s finally about to bring a revelation….

(side note—can i just say i think the bit where he’s talking about being promised to be on the 2nd verse of whatever song and harry was given the verse instead—i dont think that was him shading harry at all. i think that was lou painting a subtle, but clear picture of how they tried to pit him against harry and break them up. we know from the olly murs receipt that harry refused to end things with louis so the next objective would be to get louis to be the one to end it. manipulation tatic 101. do i think louis felt resentment towards harry? nope! i feel like what he was expressing were his feelings of worthlessness designed in him by syco. again it’s all between the lines, they talked about how arrogant and fun louis was in school prior to the band but when he’s in the band he feels irrelevant and doesn’t know himself? syco wanted to break him down at every turn but they couldn’t completely. louis found a way to turn the negatives they threw at him into positive. he had the least singing lines? ok well he’s gonna have the most writing credits instead. everything they threw at him they could not defeat him again queer resilience)

now, speaking on the throw away babygate portion of the doc, watching it kind of put into perspective to me what MIGHT be coming. the bits where he was crying was ironic as hell. he wasn’t crying bcos he felt like a father, he’s not. he was crying bcos of how goddamn insidious it is that he’s still putting this kid through this. if you watch that kids body language my gf literally said the kid acts like he doesn’t fucking know him? (he doesn’t. who is this man??? was all over his face.) like i will always believe louis is a good person and i believe he takes NO JOY out of babygate. it’s horrible.

but how does lou get out of babygate? well i see only one narrative: the one he presented in the doc. it was like an over arching theme that bad shit just keeps happening to louis and louis was asking when tf will he have a moment without stress? the bad shit was equated with all the loss in his life. i’m WONDERING if how babygate will finally end is it will be revealed that briana’s lied all this time (the fact she’s being papp’d for the first time in 5 years someone said?! is random like why is she fulfilling obligations after 5 years of silence?) like there has to be a reason why we’re feeling so much weird shit. people have to be reminded of her when it finally blows up and if the narrative to the public is louis finds out he was never really a father, that briana lied to him for money, louis will have another loss on his hands. it’s murky and i feel how solos will react to that could go either way but like… there is no way of babygate ending cleanly, but it’s the only way louis can get out of it and not be hated by the general public and look like the victim to the world (when that’s the irony of the truths in these lies like he was a victim in the first place) does this shit even make sense ??

Something I'm realizing I'm missing from the Veilguard romances is the tension. Maybe between the playable character and them, but mostly in having the opportunity to absolutely throw tf down for your partner a la dueling for Josephine/putting Dorian's dad in his place/literally eradicating anyone who might ever look for Fenris/saving Alistair from being king or encouraging him to find the strength to take the throne. I want drama! I want passion! The quiet moments matter and are lovely but it's a little too linear for the pressure the end of the world would bring imo.

Give me the worst Bachelor home visit ever. Show me Rook strolling into a camp of judgy Dalish who pushed Davrin to the fringes for being hard to manage and being like "hiiii I'm Rook. Davrin's Rook. You must be the one that told him not to bother coming back until he was ready to conform to tradition and now here he is saving the world you live in. Anyone got anything to SAY?!" only for Davrin to pull you into his parent's aravel and assure you he's okay and show you his first attempts at carvings made by fumbling clumsy fingers.

Let me dance at the crow afterparty and shimmy up to Caterina & co. so they can accuse me in a thinly-veiled manner of distracting him from his duty, only so that I might dramatically whisper in-between songs "if you don't stop treating him like a prized showdog you won't have anything left of him" before joining Lucanis for coffee and assuring him that I only stayed late to make a good impression while Spite argues that I smell like Caterina's perfume and bad decisions. Let Lucanis say that he trusts even my bad decisions as we clink our little mugs against each other and swap more stories of our craziest childhood escapades.

Permit me, if you will, the opportunity not just to make some snide remarks to Cyrian's face but to see him make Bellara flinch and murmur a quick "excuse me" before dragging little bro by the ear behind a bush real quick (I'm sure Bellara and a Forgotton One can find something to chat about) to remind him what it means to be there for your family. Let me in a romanced storyline find a momento she's kept of his and present it to him so he knows exactly what he'll lose if he doesn't get his shit together.

Some of these characters need to be the one I fight! Let me take Harding into a field somewhere and encourage her to let it all out, to assure her that she doesn't have to be the smile that inspires everyone around her to carry on when it's just us. So I don’t know if this is the case with all of Brennan's campaigns since I've only seen and finished the forementioned ones, but one thing I've really disliked about all of them are the endings. Not like the final episodes, but the last ten minutes or so, where everything is wrapped up in a neat little bow. Which is what I don’t like.

Brennan has a trend of making the endings really sweet and sugary. I know it’s comedic, but c'mon, the characters get their happy ending immideatley.

For acoc and neverafter, which are the darkest and grittiest Brennan-led campaigns so far, the cartoonishly happy endings feel especially jarring. He and his players like to explore deep and complex themes and conflicts with his players during the game, but as soon as we hit the epilouge they speedrun the last remaining chunks of character development and everyone lives happily ever after, very literally. It’s a little bit easier to buy with nsbu since the whole campaign is a crackshow but the pattern continues nonetheless.

Which. I get that that’s the point. They’re comedians at the end of the day, and they can wrap up their stories how they want. But... would it hurt to have just a liiittle bit of bitter with the sweet? Like, does everything have to wrap up neatly? Brennan goes out of his way to make sure everything is absolutley prefect in the end, which is probably really nice for the players, but imo flattens the story to the ground.

I think acoc is the worst offender, for a couple of different reasons, one being the amounts of unresolved trauma that was within the group at the end. Just a line like "it takes time and a lot of trial and error, but the Rocks does stay together as a family and get a little better at loving eachother each day" would have gone such a long way instead of: yup everything is fixed and they’re all happy now. Also revivification is suddenly possible, tf is that about. And also! The campaign started after a "happy ending" and showed how everything didn’t automatically fix itself after the war was won. Why stop there? Why not carry that over a little bit to the end?

Ok this became a bit more of a rant post than I intended. The endings don’t have to be tragic, I just think it’s good to leave a story on the '...', whether it will continue or not.

And, personally, i do like a little tragedy. Shoutout to The Ravening War

As a fellow tragedy girlie, I completely get that, fucked up ending me beloved. I do think D20 has a couple things blocking it from doing it right every season

Seasons with heavy themes of tragedy are emotionally tough on the cast. By the end of Neverafter and A Crown of Candy (especially ACOC), the whole cast was fucking tired and stressed out of their minds. In Adventuring Parties for ACOC, Lou straight up admitted that he picked up smoking cause of that season, and Siobhan and Emily were in tears on camera. By the end of it, it's likely that's all they wanted.

The themes of Neverafter lent themselves to a non-tragic ending given the pcs won. The whole culmination of the story was the pcs getting free will, which means their victory meant they all got their wish. They literally gave everyone the ability to give themselves a better story, it's hard to make that tragic without cheapening their victory.

And the same goes for A Crown of Candy. The campaign ended with Liam basically casting Wish. Generally, a DM does Wish fuckery when there's more campaign, if you're pulling that shit where it goes wrong at the end of a campaign during the wrap up when you have no plans for a sequel? You're an asshole.

And speaking of sequels, tragic endings make people smell sequels in the water. If a campaign's epilogue has a bit of tragedy in it, it typically lights the fandom up for a sequel. And it definitely happens with d20 shows, given how much speculation there is for a Fantasy High Senior Year. Generally (probably to avoid rabid fandom) they avoid sequel bait, especially with A Crown of Candy. Ravening War is immune to a lot of these factors given it's a shorter season so there's less emotional wear and tear, the story was designed to possibly end poorly, it's a prequel so sequel bait isn't an issue, and the players honestly remained pretty fucking powerless on a world scale the whole time because they were never supposed to deal with the largest problems of the world.

But yeah no, in general, I'm not super big on the epilogues either, the last one Intrepid Heroes one that I really liked was like, Starstruck or Unsleeping City II.

first of all, let me just say… THIS BOOK WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I loved it so much that I can say it is probably one of my favorite shatter me books. Top 3 at least. It absolutely destroyed me. It had me screaming, crying, throwing up. Did this book have me staying up till 3 AM? Yes. Was it worth getting only 3 hours of sleep? Also yes.

let me just talk about the plot because it was INSANE. I’ll admit I was a bit confused at first about how things on Ark Island work but after reading on I caught on. If I didn’t hate the Reestablishment before, I sure do now. The amount of crazy stuff they do, like with the Nexus, was just shocking. The whole idea of the Nexus is actually freaky like what they can literally see into everyone’s head, know their thoughts, and basically have full control over their subconscious. Even though we never actually got to meet Klaus, I can’t be the only one who pictured Klaus Mikaelson from TVD.

ok so now I get to yap about James because my boy is not 11 years old anymore. He is fully grown man with adult feelings. It honestly took I few chapters for me to adjust his image in my head cause it was hard not picturing him as a little boy. But reading his inner monologue made it so much easier to see him as the adult he is cause my bro thinks some crazy (and very hilarious) stuff. When everyone guessed that he looks like Aaron and has Kenji’s personality, they were not wrong. And it’s honestly the best combination. I will even say that this man’s fighting abilities competes with THE Aaron Warner Anderson. Which makes sense considering that Aaron literally took James in and raised him after he and Juliette got married. But there were some scenes that had me picking up my jaw off the floor. Like that one scene where James singlehandedly SLAUGHTERED like 30 soldiers right when he was about to have his organs harvested. Imo, that scene rivals Aaron with the machete scene. Also tell me why james is such a gym bro, like I can only imagine what kind of abs and biceps he has. James was just so beautifully perfect and I’m so happy he got to grow up and be the man he is.

Rosabelle was honestly so perfect in this book too. I think her as a character is just so complex like with her backstory and everything she just has so many layers to her. Her POV chapters had me crying the most because WHAT TF DID THE REESTABLISHMENT DO TO MY GIRL?! All the times in her inner monologue that she would remind herself that she is dead inside had me bawling my eyes out. She’s definitely one of those morally grey characters but based on her thoughts of the Reestablishment and of herself by the end of the book I have hope that she’ll change. Cause at the end of the day she was basically forced to be the killing machine that they raised her to be. I also don’t know if I should hate her dad, Hugo, cause I mean he is the reason why she and her family ended up on Ark island and his betrayal is what led to her mother killing herself (also what is up with FMCs watching one of their parents shoot themselves in the face it reminded me of Lyra Kane) but at the same time he’s working for the new republic so he has to be good… right? Also I feel so sorry for Clara like I wonder what she’s sick from. When Rosabelle mentioned the asylum I just new James remembered Juliette and that’s what made him not kill Rosabelle. And… WHO TF IS SEBASTIAN? AND WHY DOES HE WANT TO MARRY ROSABELLE?! I hate him so much like who does he think he is? Rosabelle’s disgust for him is so understandable.

I’m honestly so happy that Tahereh Mafi delivered on the whole “enemies to lovers” thing but at the same time WHY ARE YOU TORTURING ME?? WHY DID THE BOOK END LIKE THAT?? WHYYYYY 😫 that ending was just shfhfbhfbfhfbfh infuriating. They were supposed to be endgame but nooooooo they just had to become enemies and that last few chapters and the book had to end with Rosabelle going to prison for something she didn’t do and James feeling betrayed. because my girl didn’t do anything wrong she didn’t even kill the Leon dude! Ok fine she did kill the other two people (I forgot their names) but that was because in the moment she was freaked out by what she just saw and it was just on instinct. Her only options were fight or flight and her being the trained assassin that she is she chose fight. But her and James’s dynamic is sooo cute they will, and I mean they will because I insist it, be endgame. Like the amount of times James would care about her and ask her if she was okay was just so 🥰 And the fact that in her inner monologue Rosabelle literally says that when she is around him she can’t die inside because he makes her feel alive was just so 🥰 The fact though that the look of disappointment on James’s face at the end was enough to make Rosabelle actually die inside will forever haunt me. The fact that James had to point a gun at her head afterwards will forever haunt me. The fact that Rosabelle admitted that the only person she trusts and feels comfortable talking to is James will forever haunt me. The fact that even though she “betrayed” him, James still cared for and was worried about Rosabelle will forever haunt me.

On a brighter note, THE OG GANG IS BACK!! Let me say that 30 year old Aaron is still as fine as ever. His relationship with James was SOOO CUTE I love them. 30 year old Kenji is still as fine as ever. (Despite how sad it was I am so obsessed with that fight scene between Kenji and Rosabelle) AND MY GIRL JULIETTE IS PREGNANT!! AARON’S GOING TO BE DAD!! YAYYAYAY! though it is very sad that they’ve almost had 3 miscarriages, Juliette’s parents (even though they’re already dead) when I catch you… Also, I absolutely REFUSE to believe that Kenji and Nazeera broke up. Like why??? They were so perfect. But it’s ok cause I’m sure they’ll get back together in the future books (that’s my delulu self talking) Nazeera is not going to end up with an Arab dude (though as an Arab myself in her defense Kenji has a point, Arab dudes are quite something)

Anyway my yap session turned out a lot longer than I thought. As you can tell I really enjoyed the book and I still kind of have more to say but I don’t want this to end up being an essay (though it kind of already is). In short this book made me happy, made me depressed, and made me laugh. It was absolutely gut-wrenching and heartbreakingly beautiful 🥹 I need the next book immediately

Seriously, giving him two of those (and making them be able to go over his shoulders) in TFA was a really great idea design-wise (+firepower), imo. One cannon, like here in IDW, looks quite silly in jet mode, LOL. Now, generally speaking, when it comes to most of the continuities... Meanwhile in robot mode, it just removes (most of?) the potential to use it as a weapon ._. Since it 'has got to be in the middle'. I don't feel like going through all the media to remind myself whether he used his cannon in robot mode rn xd

(Other continuities + the TFA design. Still looks amazing with one, of coursee, thoo. And not all of the designs would be any better with two of those in case nothing else was changed)

I REALLY hope to see a new version of Blitzwing in a TF show/series who has two back cannons instead of one...

(btw, his design, which I imagined for the universe that I had made up, also has two of those, sksksksk, even though it's more g1-inspired, da)

I also hope that we will get a show which has some Unicron Trilogy vibes when it comes to the transformers' weapons, sksksksk

Seeing a Seeker fire a thin blaster, which he has on his arm, and miss an Autobot all the time isn't always going to be fun, lol. I don't want too much of the "brave autobot scout bombolbi is faster than literal jets and he dodges each shot from their weapons" type of action, maan. Imagine if there were some more of heavier weapons and robo gore in animation, huehuehue (I don't mean the really heavy one). And yes I know that it's also a matter of the animation budget.

Treat this part as when someone is saying smth in post's tags, yes: Love how I got ssoommeehhooww a bit close to yapping about the Autobot plot armor again and yet I don't feel like writing that yapping session as for now. Also lol it looks a bit goofy, as I didn't know what other screenshot of TFA BW to use, in which he has his cannons down, aside from the one with Icy in ,,Velocity". Man, this guy, as in, most of the characters who carry this name, are such silly stupid idiots, lol (affectionate).

Hey so like this movie is really fucking funny? Bumblebee is actually just insane and he’s so caring and I love him. He’s my cringy little boy who has never talked to anyone ever. He lives in the dumpster. Elita one is also funny. She’s so fucking done with dumbasses 1-3. Although the part where everyone was like ‘hey follow protocol’ when not following protocol means Jazz gets to live was a bit crazy. But it makes sense and Optimus going back for Jazz really just makes his chances of dying with him much higher. But it’s Jazz. We all love Jazz. No one wants to see Jazz get crushed. Look at him at the end of the movie he’s so happy to have his little wings he’s Jazzzzz.

If the high I felt from watching this movie is half of what people get from ecstasy then I totally get why people would do it. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that much joy in that little amount of time. I could not sit still. My chest actually hurt. It was amazing. I was able to recognize characters and I was just like ‘JAZZ! JAZZ! WAIT IS THAT RATCHET? PROWL? SIDESWIPE AND SUNSTREAKER????? YESSS! ARCEE!! SKYWARP! RARARARARARA’ and I understand that I am weird for this. But it was so much fun. And I was laughing and getting upset with the characters. And the animation is so good and cybertron is soooo pretty. I love the deer and although the quintsons are a minor part of this movie I think they’ll play a much bigger role in the sequel that’s hopefully coming. I want to see more of the characters. I want to see how Megatron will interact with the other decepticons. I want skywarp to get more lines (I’m 99% sure that he was the guy who said ‘what’ when Optimus said ‘we roll out’). I want to see how the other autobots interact. I want to see Sunstreaker do literally anything. I want to see more of this story and more of this world.

D16 is great. I really like him and I like how pissed he is at Orion and how he snaps. Orion pushed him into a lot of situations he really didn’t want to be in and he’s done saving Orion. And like. He’s also not really wrong about killing Sentinel. Like killing is inherently inhumane, but if it is the only way to preserve life then it is justifiably inhumane. And realistically, what else would they have done with him? He clearly has some backing from a guard of some sorts and connections to the quintisons, so he could ruin everyone’s lives again. The way he died was extra and there’s definitely a better way to kill him (“morally” speaking. There’s not a humane way to kill a persons outside of extreme circumstances, but some ways are definitely worse than others). But his death was also so cool. Like I was expecting Megatron to just shoot him but holy shit that was brutal. Also this is me being a little silly goose but I don’t think that his eyes are literally changing colors. I think the story is being told mainly through Optimus’s perspective, and the eye color shifting is metaphorical. The yellow to orange is a lot more subtle than the orange to red. When his eye color changes it’s not just when he’s changing (which is definitely also apart of it I think) but specifically when Optimus realizes that the change has occurred. Yellow and Blue and Orange and Blue also complement each other. Red and Blue are a bit more jarring when put next to each other imo. Like it’s based on nothing but my own weird little mind. But anyways, I don’t think Optimus jumped in front of sentinel because he gave a shit about sentinel. I think he jumps in front of Megatron’s gun because he desperately needs to save his friend. But it’s too late and they are now both unrecognizable to each other. Suddenly getting power and being suppressed his entire life coupled with sentinel’s betrayal caused D16 to snap. His entire life was a lie and a person he looked up to turned out to be the biggest piece of shit on cybertron. Also a thing I found really interesting was that the high guard/future decepticons chanted D16’s name when he was beating the shit out of starscream whereas with Orion the miners/future autobots changed his name after he gave a speech and was literally kneeling to be on their level.

Sentinel prime was really fun. I predicted that he would be revealed as a traitor entirely because he’s Sentinel. But it was still fun to see it happen. Also he’s beautiful. This is the best he has ever looked. The colors look great next to each other and the wings go hard. He’s very one dimensional but he makes the other characters around him have more dimensions because he’s so simple. And he doesn’t need to be complex. Keep It Simple Stupid. The movie is less than two hours long, it doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel. It knows how to use the wheel and it uses it great. Sentinel is an asshole and I really like him. The version of him that I have in my head is very different but I like asshole sentinel. Tfa Sentinel is great. Tf One Sentinel is great. I hope they both die <3

Also when D16 saw megatronus’s head? Amazing. Both of his hero’s (sentinel and Megatronus) died in that cave, literally and metaphorically. And the fact that this happened in a cave reminds of that one metaphor some dead guy came up with. Basically there’s these prisoners who are forced to stay in a cave and I think they might be tied upside down but one of them is able to leave the cave and discovers that there is more to the world than the cave and that they have also been upside down. When he tried to relay this to his friends they declare him to be a liar. It’s a basic little thing about discovering the truth or whatever I can’t articulate it very well. But that was Megatron’s cave moment. His entire life was a lie. He is existing the cave and he will never be the same. Was TF One actually just refrencing this? Probably not. BUT WAIT! The Cybertronians live underground, so that’s technically a cave. Everyone who is living in the underground city and who don’t go to the surface are in the dark. ITS THE CAVE AGAIN! AT THE END OF THE MOVIE THEY ARE ALL THAT THE SURFACE! THEY ALL LEFT THE CAVE!! I’m loosing my fucking mind if you couldn’t tell. Also the minors go into caves and they very much love sentinel. cave Cave CAVE

Starscream is really cool. We haven’t seen enough of him to get a gage on his morality or how big of a traitor he’ll be, but what’s been shown is really great. His motivations for challenging and goading D16 are unclear. Like he might be a masochist but probably not. Maybe he wants him to be the new leader. I wished that we saw more of screamer but what we got was pretty great. And I hope he gets to play a more major role in future movies. As well as soundwave and shockwave because although shockwave was really funny they unfortunately didn’t get to do much.

This version of Elita kicks ass. Scarlett Johansson does an excellent job of voicing her. Although it would have been funny if she voiced Arachnid. But she’s so cool and also funny. I loved when she told Orion that she was better than him at everything but having optimism. Her ripping off Arachnid’s leg and using it to beat her was fucking awesome. ‘I’m being gentle!’ I love her so much she’s so funny. Her anger towards being demoted motivating her to go along with the three idiots was good. I want to see more of her in general and I want to see how her dynamic with Optimus will change in the next movie. Like ‘next movie’ might not happen but I’m really hoping that it does. But even if it doesn’t the film is still amazing.

Chris Hemsworth does a great job voicing Optimus. I was really surprised and impressed. Like low key I was sort of expecting this to be a Chris Pratt Mario situation when I first heard he would be OP’s VA because I only knew him from the Marvel movies. But he does a great job. Bryan Tyree Henry does an excellent job voicing D16/Megatron. Like he might be my favorite Megatron voice. Like I love Scottish Megatron but this voice is soooo good. Every voice actor does a phenomenal job.

The animation is amazing. I love the backgrounds and the bridges that just appear. The surface of cybertron is so pretty and I love the general aesthetic. The fight scenes are so well done. They utilize transformations in the fight (like Optimus retracting his head like a turtle to dodge attacks) and that’s super cool! The facial expressions are also really good. When Optimus is telling Megatron to leave he looks so sad and it looks so real. These characters are all really expressive, including the background ones. Like I’ve seen a lot of redraws of Jazz looking at his wings and being all happy. Each background character looks unique and there are a lot of cameos and it was so much fun to look at them. A lot of love and effort was clearly put into this movie and it really shows. The eyes are so pretty, the backgrounds are so pretty, the characters become so shiny.

It’s a great movie and I think everyone should go watch it. I need this film to get a sequel.

from what i’m clocking from spoilers and recent posts i’d like to just say i’m all for some drama but quite frankly angst stresses me tf out sometimes (especially when it’s two characters i’ve grown to deeply love and want to see happy))

i bet dorian’s speech was absolutely amazing, deepens his character, raises more questions(at least in the group towards dorian), and fleshes out his morals,, but i cannot shake the fact liam/orym looked like crying during it. i mean, it’s only natural sure because orym is in love with dorian and wants to see dorian succeed and be the best version of himself that he could possibly be… but do i think this will make orym fall out of love? i don’t know. and it’s scary. though part of me still has that delusion in thinking that both robbie and liam know what they’re doing and are doing this on purpose so in that case, this mishap WONT cause our boys to fall out of love but i’m so torn. this hurts. dorym has been the biggest slow burn i’ve been following for years. years. i will not be okay for months if they don’t end things on good terms (whether that’s continuing to be pining friends or actually getting together))) at this point i’ll take the yearning friends situation over them failing to communicate and leave each other both sad

what i’m hoping for is that next episode(s) they ACTUALLY talk. one on one, heart to heart. this is literally the perfect setup for liam to swoop in with his skills and get that angsty conversation he’s been edging. orym is misunderstanding dorian, dorian still hasn’t told anyone about his brother getting murdered by the SPIDER QUEEN which is WHY HE DOESNT LIKE THE GODS. they need to talk. they have to. otherwise shit will keep drifting them apart and i know that both dorian and orym do not want that at all. they are in love with each other, and don’t know how to act on it or what to do about it. there is so much going on, so much that is left unsaid and it’s hurting their relationship and it’s KILLING ME. i would say it’s like in exu, that time when they head butted about the crown,,, though now it’s not so simple anymore. they just need to talk about stuff. maybe then orym will fully understand why dorian is so cross with gods… and then in turn dorian can understand why orym is anxious about the way he’s been acting.

looks like a love confession will be an even longer wait…. sigh. we got so much fluff just for it to go south again- my heart is physically breaking on the inside. i cant even remember if this is what it felt like with vaxleth back in the day. this seems a lot worse rn imo ……

i’m still very dorym strong. i believe they can work through this. dorian and orym are being played by super talented actors anyway.

When you meet:

You try talking to him: He gives you blunt and short responses.

When you first meet it's all cold, no instant spark for him anyways. Ofc you've seen him and you're like "Wow he's handsome!" But all he sees is another person, nothing special. It's not your fault, this man is just closed off for his own reasons.

You try to joke with him: If it's funny he'll smile... Maybe even exhale through his nose while doing so. If it's crude or not his type of humor, he won't even turn to look at you and instead will give you something to do to make you go away.

What's his type of humor? I like to think it's the "smartass" type of humor but not in an overbearing type of way. The type of humor that comes naturally-- I picture this: you respond with a little snark when he's bossy, or something, and if it's clever he'll sarcastically compliment that. It's often a hit or miss with him too. He'll start smiling more the more you guys know eachother.

If you get his number for whatever reason and you try texting him, he WILL leave you on read if you text him about stuff outside of missions/work. If you bring it up, he'll just tell you that it's not personal and that he doesn't like texting.

If you compliment him he will say thank you, he's cold but not mean. Something like "Thank you for helping me with this, I like coming to you for 'x' because you're really smart and explain stuff nicely." However if the compliment has some sort of ulterior motive (think catcalling) he'll definitely glare at you and either not respond or say "Okay." (Just don't flirt right away...he literally does NOT KNOW YOU.)

Keep your gaze respectful, I don't care if he's a man, you don't eyeball someone for fun if they show discomfort. And he would, if you were caught doing so and he didn't even know you personally. Eugh... Let's be civil!

With that in mind, if you try to pry into his personal backstory too early he will most likely not open up to you about it until wayyyyyyy later since he'll trust you less for being so nosey. Let HIM open up naturally.

Don't call him moody.

How do you become friends? It depends on him, he definitely chooses (and is picky with) who he wants to get close to, so, really you have no say and can't do anything to make him like you. Even if you're conventionally attractive it won't affect how he feels about you LMAOOOO. IMO he has a sort of switch in his head that goes "...Okay, I like this person, I should try being friends with them."

I'd like to think the friendship is made official when he vocalizes that he cares about your safety. Hmmmmmmmm, I'd imagine him being like "Hey, take care of yourself out there." Something sweet and short, and he'll make eye contact with you through it. And for once, his expression is calm and his eyebrows aren't furrowed.

Speaking of which, you will definitely see him smile more and you will occasionally catch his expression soften when you show up.

You two will start talking about how your days went. He never did this in the beginning when he didn't know you.

He'll tell you some non-personal stuff about him like his favorite coffee and lunch, his favorite color... Only if you ask though. He's not the type to just say that stuff on his own. (Might seem contradictory, let me explain-- If he doesn't know you, don't force it. If he wants to get to know you, feel free to start making moves. That way he feels comfortable, a sort of mutualistic pique in interest.)

Before, he'd rather be alone than be with you. Now that you're friends, he'd like to listen to you talk about yourself while he stays quiet and listens. Perhaps you ramble on about something you're passionate about and he's typing away. And when you pause for whatever reason, he'll say that he's still listening.

Speaking of food lol, if you bring him coffee he'll smile and give you a thank you. If you treat him to lunch he'll probably say yes. Probably. If he's overstimulated or overwhelmed from work he'll say "No, thank you." Also, no need to be shy and stuff, just ask him out genuinely.

Not a fan of self-deprecation; if you're friends he will try his best to cut it short and provide some comfort, "That's not true..." and will give you reasons as to why. However if it's overbearing (like you do it CONSTANTLY) he will try to pull away from you. He is constantly stressed about the multiverse, talking to a friend should be his time to relax a little.

Friendship bracelets... I think he'd think they're corny but he would wear one if it's not too funny looking. Like the ones made from threads of matching colors... De wouldn't wear the ones with the BFF beads.

If you're both working in the same space and it's too quiet, he'll probably start a little convo, hearing your voice is comforting. That being said though, sometimes he likes the quiet. In this scenario I'd say let him decide.

Give him self care tips in a nice way and he'll genuinely appreciate it. I think if you're well put together he'll even ask you, lol!

Text him and he'll respond, it'll be short but it'll be a response. He'll also reach out first sometimes to check in on you too. "Hey how's your day been?"

On that note, it's safe to say that Miguel is up to date with current memes, again he's not dumb. If you send him those funny cat videos/pics he will find it amusing, will probably not laugh irl but will smile because he finds it funny that you find it funny.

He will download Pinterest (you told him that's where you get your memes from) and will scroll on it during his free time, if he spots some meme he knows you'd like he'd send it to you, saying it reminded him of you.

Playful banter is welcomed, encouraged only when he is the one starting it. You can start the banter yourself, but just make sure he's in the mood for it.

The spark ignites inside of Miguel:

He'll be the one initiating conversations a lot more often, and you'll notice it.

He'll surprise you with lunch! He'll know your fave foods from all the chats you guys had as friends, and has some sort of keen sense as to what you are craving that day specifically.

This one is a bit more funny, but if you tease him by being a little mean (you can now that he has that little spark ignited), he'll turn away from you, but keep himself in view enough for you to see his signature pout. He will look down at the ground and smile before coming up with a comeback, which always usually beats your initial jab.

He'll teach you some words in Spanish if you want him to, but be warned that he'll take his job as your Spanish teacher very seriously. He will randomly speak in Spanish to test you, and if you don't understand him he'll tease the absolute shit out of you. One sentence turns into three, turns into a whole conversation starter.

If you respected the backstory thing, by now he'll open up about it with you privately. The spark being ignited means that he sees something between the both of you he wants to pursue, and that means that he wants to be fully honest with you from now on.

That being said, if you decide to lie about something to him and he finds out during this stage, he'll throw the relationship back to just friends for a good time... I'd say the bond is broken forever but hey you never know right? I think it depends on the lie tbh.

If you're shorter, he'll pat your head once before you go away from him, maybe even mess with your hair a bit (if you're okay with that ofc, shout-out to my curly haired ppl, taking care of our hair is not for the weak and even if it was Miguel O'Hara messing it up I'd be pissed off). If you're taller, he'll swipe his hand up on your back or maybe even pat it. (Hopefully you can picture that sorry lol.)

He will appreciate hugs from you in this stage! Ofc you need to ask him first, don't wanna catch him in a bad mood, he'll feel suffocated if you hug him while he's angry.

On that note, if you're leaving and say "...What, no hug goodbye?" He'll definitely smirk and cross his arms... Will playfully pretend to ponder while looking at the ground, and will respond "...Fine, I guess you can have one." He will hug you tightly to tease you back.

Remarks about how he looks will now be appreciated, and I think he'd put more effort into how he looks for you. Keep it sweet though. 🙄🫰

If he's quiet because he's upset/angry, he'll avoid you. He just doesn't wanna explode around you.

Will take you out on an official date (yippee!) and depending on the type of person you are (whether or not you like restaurants as a first or a picnic) he'll do his best to dress accordingly (restaurant = suit, picnic = nice t-shirt and jeans).

Will ask what you think about his outfits. Be honest with him, honesty is the best policy.

Will ask for advice regarding work, he never did this as friends. He likes to think his way is the best way, but he's starting to care a lot about you and what you think too.

Will get you a gift occasionally, not randomly. I think during holidays and on your b-day. He never did this as friends. He even asks to hang out with you on these days. :3

The relationship:

He will be the one to make things official, he'll do this by getting you a nice piece of jewelry and planning a date somewhere he knows you'd love. Definitely the type to say "Can I be your boyfriend?"

Every time he sees you he'll smile, unless he's angry. If he's angry his eyebrows will just relax (expression softens in general) but he'll still be frowning. You'll always be able to soften his heart, but it'll be like a meter, you know?

When you gotta go, if you're shorter he'll hug you and press his cheek against your head, will give you a forehead kiss depending on the mood, will always tell you to stay safe and that he loves you. If you're taller he'll hug you and press his forehead against your chest to feel your heartbeat lol, in this scenario I see you being the one to kiss his forehead and he lets you.

Texts you updates, and in general more often. Will call you, he never did this before now.

Will hang out with you more, I think he'd even take days off routinely to spend them with you. Like Saturdays and Sundays he leaves and lets someone take care of his work-- But he'll occasionally pop in to check in on them via text to make sure stuff at work is alright.

Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner is now between the both of you. A nice break from work.

Will let you touch him, for example running your hand up and down his arm, holding his hand, giving his face kisses/quick pecks. He appreciates all of your touches.

In general you will see him soften up more, he's less angry (still has his days, T-T), and is seen smiling more by the people around him too.

After some time (1/2 yrs) he will ask for you to move in with him.

NUZI NATION STAND TF UP WE WONNNNN

they’re DATING 😭😭 LIKE THEY’RE BF AND GF THEY ARE ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED IM GOING TO BE SICK I LOVE THEM SO BADDD

they had sooo sooo many adorable, heartwarming moments during this ep i felt like i was going to explodeee.

but that’s not the only thing that had me on the verge of combusting-

FREAKIN V LIVED LETS HECKIN GOOOOO

i KNEW she didn’t die last ep there was no WAYYYY. plus it’s funny to see all the fanart of her taming the sentinel being true in the show lmaooo

ALSO HER AND J’S YURI FIGHT WAS SOOOO GOOD. LIKE?? A REMIX OF ETERNAL DREAM PLAYING WHEN V SHOWED WHATTTT. but this fight wasn’t just visually but the reveal that j was knowingly working with/for cyn was something that i didnt see coming but also don’t completely hate honestly!

i saw a lottttt of people (more specifically j/jessa fans, no shade just saying what i saw🧍‍♀️) who were upset with j’s betrayal and the way she was portrayed, and while i get not liking how she was written, i personally don’t think that this was that out of left field for her?? like?? while i was shocked i was like “i mean, yeah, makes sense.”

AND I COULDN’T POST THIS WITHOUT TALKING ABOUT THE STAR OF THIS EP

guysssss!!!! cyn/flesha was literally at her best in this ep imo!! she was so expressive and silly and genuinely creepy and scary at times like omg?? every time she was on screen i was soooo hooked dude.

AND THE TEAM UZI VS TEAM CYN FIGHT OH MY GOSHHHHHHH.

my friend and i genuinely started tweaking out dude it was so amazing and animated so well 😭 from the nightcore in the bg to the choreo to the general energy of it I JUST RAHHHHH.

the general consensus i've seen regarding this episode is that it felt rushed and while i def agree that it could've and probably should have been longer, of the four times i've rewatched it now, i never really got "rushed" vibes, just- idk how to word it really- but when the episode ended, i didn't get the sense of finality. even tho i've watched it a few times now, it still feels like there's supposed to be more?? esp after the after-credits scene LIKE WDYM THE SOLVER'S PERMINENTLY PART OF UZI NOW??

ALL N ALL, i really loved the ep, i think it was pretty good! there was stuff i def wish were written/handled differently (LIKE THE WAY DOLL'S STORY WRAPPED UP) but i enjoyed it regardless.

hiii !!! i’m mia & im a british shifter <3 i started shifting in april 2021 and have been completely infatuated with it ever since. i started this blog not too long ago, but i’ve been regularly posting on shifttok since summer 23’ (though i restarted my account & started posting more seriously in may 24’). i have severe anxiety & i’m currently out of education because of it so i have a LOT of time on my hands to make content when i’m not up at night stressing about how tf i’m going to be able to pass my gcse’s (shifting seems to be my number 1 priority at the moment???)

i have yet to have a fully successful shift, but i don’t let that bother me at all because just being part of the shifting community is enough to keep me going (but it’d be super cool if i did happen to shift tonight…not saying anything…) . i like to think that i am knowledgeable about the science behind reality shifting but i’m really not, so if you have any questions, ask away but i can’t assure you that i’ll know the answer since i’m really just here for the fun instead of the science </3

i only have 3 actual drs at the moment!!! i know, insane - but with only having 3 drs i can focus a lawtttttt more on them & imo it makes me feel closer to them, so all is well ?!

1. twin peaks dr ; the tv show not the chain of restaurants. this dr is my actual baby i love it so so much, i feel an absolutely sickening longing for anything twin peaks so the second i finished watching fwwm for the first time i knew exactly what i had to do. and that was make a dr where literally none of the plot happens and poor laura gets the life she deserves, all whilst i simultaneously manage to fit myself into what’s left of the practically non existent plot!

2. actress dr ; hell yeah!!! this is the dr that i drift off to sleep thinking about every night, this is the dr in which i am the most chic nepo baby to ever walk the planet. of course i’d be the one to make a dr where i get to physically embody all of my favourite characters whilst also looking hot and smoking cigarettes…of course…

3. band dr ; a definite work in progress, BUT it’s coming along veryyy nicely id say! i’ve had this dr for over a year and i still haven’t even scripted my date of birth so !?!? if anyone’s getting into scandals whilst also yet again looking hot and smoking cigarettes it’s me in this dr!!!! or me in all 3 of my drs i guess 🤷‍♀️

my whole life revolves around consuming media so here’s a sneak peak into my brain & what’s making me giggle and kick my feet at 2am !

music : hole, elliott smith, jeff buckley, sonic youth, dean blunt, joy division, jack off jill, the smashing pumpkins, massive attack, slowdive, radiohead, have a nice life, nicole dollanganger, nirvana, cocteau twins, fiona apple, mazzy star, alice in chains and soooo many more i can’t think of

films : my letterboxd top 4 is nowhere (1997), wild at heart (1990), natural born killers (1994) and smooth talk (1985); but besides from that some of my other favourites include grease (1978), twin peaks: fire walk with me (1992), the breakfast club (1985) , dirty dancing (1987), mulholland drive (2001), possession (1981) etc etc you get the idea

i am completely obsessed with anything david lynch as you can probably tell, i watched twin peaks for the first time in april 24’ and everything this man ever made has completely consumed me for the past almost year, i still stand by the idea that he was atleast somewhat aware of reality shifting (i mean…on the back of my inland empire dvd it literally mentions the phrase “shifting realities” but yknow…that could mean anything…) but i won’t go into that, that’s for another day 🙂‍↕️
