While I agree with the person talking about Rebecca Scott seeming fake all the time, I actually think she's been fine on Parlor Room- I think that because Parlor Room is basically her playing a game with her friends instead of doing standup, and because she is seeming to actually try to not take centre stage, it's nice seeing her in something I feel I can vibe with.

I'm loving parlor room but in the latest episode Becca counted wrong. When Team Cher was at 83 they earned 7 points, but Becca said they got 92, when it should have been 90.

This means that BBW would have won 123 to 121, and beat Cher.

I can not believe that not a single person caught this either during flimming or editing.

Saw the confession about Becca Scott and I can't watch Parlor Room and Gastronauts for a similar reason. There's this intonation? Way of speaking? That is too 'American TV game show' from both hosts and participants. It just feels like nails on a chalkboard for me.

Both shows feel distinctly different in this from a lot of stuff on dropout.

Cancelling my Dropout subscription because I don't feel represented in the cast. I'm a black South African woman and there's literally zero of us in the cast. This is obviously because Sam Reich has South-African-Woman-phobia and no other non-malicious reason.

I need Sam to hire someone who doesn't mesh at all with the rest of the cast but so I can then start (rightfully) complaining that they are a diversity hire who also don't represent me.

I am very mature and reasonable.

So like, do you get off to just, making shit up about things people have said or?

I spend like every other post telling people I don't think it's malicious at all and is much more likely to be the fault of the bigotry our society has laced into it on a deeper level. You really just cannot handle the idea that a woman might express a negative opinion without being overwhelmed with anger.

The thing is, it's not hard to find transfems that mesh with these players, you can pretty easily chainlink appearances of dimension 20 cast members to transfems in the same ttrpg circles. Or just, know that these are professional comedians who are good at what they do and therefore will do a fine job riffing off each other. Especially given Dropout's variety in comedy styles, they can find people to riff of anyone funny.

And where do you get the nerve to just assume transfems would have a problem with any new transfems on the show? Are we just repeating the same bullshit that gets used to complain about all other minorities getting represented, a stupid talking point that gets disproven en masse time and time again?
