ALRIGHTY!! i’ve finally had some time to think and rewatch the finale (and get somewhere with adequate internet connection so i could actually post rip) SOOO here are my still-sorta-scattered thoughts about the final ep!!

so first things first ahem…

NUZI NATION STAND TF UP WE WONNNNN

they’re DATING 😭😭 LIKE THEY’RE BF AND GF THEY ARE ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED IM GOING TO BE SICK I LOVE THEM SO BADDD

they had sooo sooo many adorable, heartwarming moments during this ep i felt like i was going to explodeee.

but that’s not the only thing that had me on the verge of combusting-

FREAKIN V LIVED LETS HECKIN GOOOOO

i KNEW she didn’t die last ep there was no WAYYYY. plus it’s funny to see all the fanart of her taming the sentinel being true in the show lmaooo

ALSO HER AND J’S YURI FIGHT WAS SOOOO GOOD. LIKE?? A REMIX OF ETERNAL DREAM PLAYING WHEN V SHOWED WHATTTT. but this fight wasn’t just visually but the reveal that j was knowingly working with/for cyn was something that i didnt see coming but also don’t completely hate honestly!

i saw a lottttt of people (more specifically j/jessa fans, no shade just saying what i saw🧍‍♀️) who were upset with j’s betrayal and the way she was portrayed, and while i get not liking how she was written, i personally don’t think that this was that out of left field for her?? like?? while i was shocked i was like “i mean, yeah, makes sense.”

AND I COULDN’T POST THIS WITHOUT TALKING ABOUT THE STAR OF THIS EP

guysssss!!!! cyn/flesha was literally at her best in this ep imo!! she was so expressive and silly and genuinely creepy and scary at times like omg?? every time she was on screen i was soooo hooked dude.

AND THE TEAM UZI VS TEAM CYN FIGHT OH MY GOSHHHHHHH.

my friend and i genuinely started tweaking out dude it was so amazing and animated so well 😭 from the nightcore in the bg to the choreo to the general energy of it I JUST RAHHHHH.

the general consensus i've seen regarding this episode is that it felt rushed and while i def agree that it could've and probably should have been longer, of the four times i've rewatched it now, i never really got "rushed" vibes, just- idk how to word it really- but when the episode ended, i didn't get the sense of finality. even tho i've watched it a few times now, it still feels like there's supposed to be more?? esp after the after-credits scene LIKE WDYM THE SOLVER'S PERMINENTLY PART OF UZI NOW??

ALL N ALL, i really loved the ep, i think it was pretty good! there was stuff i def wish were written/handled differently (LIKE THE WAY DOLL'S STORY WRAPPED UP) but i enjoyed it regardless.

Happy 3rd year anniversary murder drones!

On the 29th of October three years ago murder drones first premiered on YouTube

And with it, it changed so many lives and made so many people happy personally I’m happy to be a part of this fandom.

Personally I joined the fandom after episode four was released so I can’t really say that I was there from the beginning, I remember just scrolling through YouTube and seeing this silly little video about some silly little robots committing genocide, and I am so happy that it ended up clicking on the video cause it changed a lot about my life. I actually started being active on social media because of it and I met so many wonderful people.

Anyway I’m getting off track, happy birthday Murder drones!

☆Thank you, Murder Drones♡

After watching the finale of Murder Drones yesterday and taking the rest of the night to process my emotions, I felt like I, too, should say my thank yous to the Fandom that changed things in my life.

I wanted to include art with this, and perhaps I'll come back and edit it to add an art piece, or make a seperate post entirely, but I just wanted to say a few words here.

I want to thank Murder Drones and everyone involved with it for changing my life in the span of 5 months. I was someone exetremely late to the party/Fandom/show and I feel so horrible and sad about that considering how amazing this show is and was. I had seen the first episode, but made the mistake of not sticking around long enough to see just what it would turn into. I think a part of my younger self just couldn't see myself getting into it because it seemed "Cringy" and "Not for me" back then, and just with the place I was in, the Fandoms I was in, and what I was focused on at the time, I never really understood the kind of show this would become, nor did I think it would become as important as it did to me in such little time, let alone have such an impact on me.

It's a show that brought out a self of confidence in me.

It's a show that gave me sense of joy I hadn't felt nor gotten in a long time.

It's a show that I love deeply and I will never forget it, no matter how late I was to the hype train and no matter how many years pass.

This final episode was amazing. I've seen the praise and I've seen the complaints, but I made sure to have no huge expectations going into it so I could just be surprised and excited with what was going to happen, and I can confidently say after watching it yesterdat that I loved it. For the type of show this was, it felt like a proper ending to a show about complex, lovable, angsty lil robots that do murder. And as for the series itself; sure it has it's plotholes, confusing moments, and plot points/moments that could've been changed and or improved, for what it's worth and what we as a community got...The Glitch/SMG4 Team, the voice actors, and Liam did a fantastic job on everything, and I will always be grateful that we got such an amazing show.

I'm sad it's over already, and I will for a while...But we as a community have been given hope that our beloved main characters will return at some point down the line, and I cannot wait to see just what the team has in store for them and for us.

I may not have been someone who was here from the beginning and stayed till the end, but I am someone who was somewhat there in the beginning and returned for the end. I am proud to say I'm a Murder Drones fan.

I'm also proud to say I'm a Murder Drones fan who is about to make very poor finacial choices-

To not drag this out any longer...I'll say it one more time.

This! There's so many critiques you can have about this show but the fact that this fast paced, lore heavy nonsense hooked so many people just proves that if you find joy in it, and it's not HURTING anybody? Then do it. Go ahead and do that weird thing.

We have people in the fandom making whole video games based off of killing Worker Drones! We have animated projects coming out in 2025 and stuff based on the events of the show. We have writers absolutely having the time of their lives just- enjoying their takes on the characters.

This show inspired me to branch out more with my art. Its artistic direction was just. Really something to me, and the fact that Liam actually got to finally have a whole production team back him up on one of his projects just makes this entire mini-franchise ooze with passion and personality. It isn't perfect, and like I've said before, nothing beautiful is. But it's fun, and lighthearted and made my autistic brain cheer and hyperfixate on little things that got me to just. Appreciate the love in this show.

I got to bond with my long distance boyfriend over these dumb robots, we had our last date before school starts up watching the premiere and then rewatching that episode again just to point things out together. It was fun, we were laughing and hey. Ain't that the best part of animated entertainment sometimes? Fun and laughs?

Say what you want about it, but thank you Murder Drones.

And thank you to everybody who worked on it and made something truly special to me and thousands of others. Thank you animators, editors, storyboarders, effects team, sound designers and everybody on the crew. You guys are amazing and have all my support and love.

This will probably be my last post about Murder Drones ever, but I really do love that the message of the finale is basically just…we should do more cringe things.

Liam Vickers is out here making a silly little robot show with no particularly deep or existential message (which half the fandom was expecting) and is instead smashing his characters together like dolls, making them anime fight with nightcore music in the background, and giving them fucked up to the point of ridiculousness character development/trauma, with the message that this is fun and lighthearted and that we should kill cringe culture and instead do more of what he’s doing.

And honestly? Go off king, that is a GREAT message to spread and a delightful subversion to what everyone was expecting for the finale. We SHOULD spend more time doing cringe things and making fanart and pop culture references and edgy OCs. You’re so correct that not everything needs to be deep or meaningful.

I know a lot of people are going to hate the finale for the lack of story, but honestly this show is just here to have fun and I’m rolling with that. Go be cringe and weird and free.
