Having a healthy relationship after having such a rocky history with all kinds of relationships is like:

"I don't look that great today but its whatever"

"HA, no. Pretty"

"But ...My hairs a mess and my clothes aren't matching or anything- everything clashes and I don't feel pretty today wdym"

"Yeah no still pretty even with all that. I still like looking at you"

And soon enough the reaction of "its whatever" fades into "that's okay" and you end up smiling more at yourself in the mirror.
