I keep stopping myself from making a post about this bc I keep getting the feeling like I got this idea from somebody else and I dont wanna present it as my own if thats the case. However I really haven't seen that many people actually talk about it so.... does anybody else out there think that maybe the 16 realms.... weren't originally separate?

Like just thinking about it. Wu was shocked that the merge came early, but he knew it would happen. Which means its like, a scheduled event that he was informed of, likely through his father. He also answered "yes" to Arin's question of if he caused the merge. Of course, Arin understood this to be a confession of direct responsibility, but simply though Wu's reactions in flashbacks alone we know the situation is more complicated than that. It's highly possible that the reason why he answered that way, was because he was supposed to do something to stop it, but failed to do so.

I know this is like, a lot of conjecture rn so bear with me, but if that assumption is indeed correct, it would mean that the sixteen realms need regular upkeep just to stay as separate places. And that..... would be kinda crazy if the 16 realms were created separate, right? Why would they be attracted to each other like magnets, only held apart by active force, if being separate was their natural state?

Then add in the fact that the show has repeatedly spoken of unity as a theme, and a force for good. Nya talks about how the ninja are not truly united with missing members of their team, the crossroads represent a unique blending of cultures that allow new bonds to form, characters learn and fight best when they are working in tandem with others they are close to. How is it that everyone is better, stronger, more in-tune with the universe, when they are working together, but the realms themselves are assumed to be most natural and healthy when segregated?

All this to say.... I think the realms were created as one, and something, some truly monumental and traumatizing event (perhaps.... the death of a source dragon?), caused the gods to see fit to divide the world. And ever since then, it's been desperately trying to fit itself together again, even though it could not return to what it once was, and the effects of joining again would wreak devastating consequences on the parts that could not be reconciled.

NINJAGO ROYAL AU (Fated Royalty AU)

Ok so i had this idea a while ago, cuz of some discussion about why Harumi is considered royalty while Lloyd isnt, so i made this AU!

The AU explained under the cut ↓ (fanfic style cuz why not)

In this AU, the FSM family are considered royalty, with the eldest son (Garmadon) being the king. The youngest(Wu) was to be chosen king cause his brother is well.. evil.. but he chose not to, preferring to become a ninja master, disappearing without a trace. And so, without a choice, they had to crown Garmadon as king.

Many years later, the king and queen(Misako) had a son(Lloyd). One who was prophesied to be the savior of all. BUT due to the paranoia they had, fear was telling them that he'll end up like his father if he went this path. And so, they chose to isolate and protect him from any harm.

The poor young prince grew up without any friends, all alone. On the day of his 8th birthday, the monarchs decided to hire some puny children of common blacksmiths to become his personal guards. Fire and water. The prince quickly got attached to both of them, seeing it as a chance to make his first friends. The eldest tried to take his job seriously, not allowing the prince into his heart but the youngest had her heart melted, becoming the prince's first friend. As time went on, the trio became closer and closer to each other, with the eldest finally warming up to the prince, with a secret that made them closer, one that made them call eachother "brother".

In the meanwhile, the king has been hiring multiple talented young people, ones with a lot of potential. An inventor that came from the trash, a strange boy with the wisdom of an old man and a strong fighter who quickly climbed the ranks to the top. Lightning, ice and earth.

Nobody knows how these boys got the prince's attention and became his friends; but one thing is clear: from the day they met, they were inseparable.

They were all happy! Or so, thats what everyone thought. The prince hated his status and his life. Dont get him wrong: he loved his friends and would even sacrifice his life for them, but the extreme isolation made him quite.. depressed. He yearned for freedom; for a life of adventure. The halls of the castle started to feel more like a prison than a home. He thought there was no escape.. until.. a strange letter showed up, with an address up in the mountains. His parents were gone for the week so his curiosity got the best of him. He arrived and it was a... Monastery...? And he wasnt the only one there... There was Kai with Nya, in the same familiar armour they've always worn. There was also Cole and Jay, bickering, with a Zane that tried to stop them. Then there was his uncle: Master Wu. He thought he disappeared? Did his parents lie to him? It was possible.

What was this all about? The prophecy. They had to become ninja. It was, of course, their choice as Master Wu stated. What did they do? Become ninja of course! In secret... As if the king and queen found out, there would never be a chance of freedom ever again. It was what all of them yearned for, after all.

So, a double life it was. One as a prince, and the other as a ninja.

(all the villains they face in canon are also canon here, and in this AU they have 0 idea what the identity of the ninja are, except for one....)

It’s been stated in the show that it’s been years since the merge has happened. Meaning its been years since Morro chose to be the guardian of the Spectral Lands.

So, here are some headcanons.

I think some ghosts, like Soul Archer or Bansha, stuck around a bit to either mess with Morro, help him, or because they weren’t ready to leave. I highly doubt Morro and the others ghosts he was with were ever close, but they were the only things they each had, so i think they very reluctantly began to care for one another, as much as they were capable to at the very least.

Morro, after taking on the duty to be the guardian and guider for the Spectral Lands and for dead souls, was forced into having many conversations he didn’t want at the beginning as he helped people drink from the well. From Mystake and her cryptic words, where he learnt years ago how to translate from another, on his mistakes and his future. From a Sensei Garmadon who tells Morro that he is proud of what the other has finally become. From the other ghosts from his team (Bansha, Soul Archer, Ghoultar, Howla, Wrayth) very reluctantly giving him their thanks and well wishes. From previous elemental masters and their own wisdom. To those he killed himself. I don’t think he’s ever had to deal with so many people who had so many words for him.

Through the flashback episode with Sora and Arin, it’s shown many children are either missing or kidnapped, meaning many could also be dead due to tragic reasons. Imagine the amount of children Morro had to sooth before sending off.

Morro, as we know him, was a lot sharper and louder before. Now, however, he seems quieter and softer than he was, wise even. I think thats because he was forced into helping newly dead children. I think he saw himself in their eyes and couldn’t help but remember the child that died when he left the monastery and the teen that died in a cave alone. He can’t help but remember how scary it was. He can’t help the way he needs to protect these children and sooth their woes before they are sent to a better place.

Sometimes, i think some kids weren’t ready to leave yet, so they would stick around Morro who was forced into playing with them when it was safe. He would even spend hours getting rid of the souleaters to take care of the kids who stuck around.

When they would leave, he couldn’t help but feel weighed down by the loneliness.

He dissociates often now, not having much to do in between fighting souleater and guiding lost souls.

Sometimes, Morro hold conversations with the wind, as if he can still hear it like how it does even now. At least, he hoped his old friend still listen to him. Morro knows he can’t blame the wind for not listening though, not after all he’d done to it.

Morro is very melancholy now after years of fighting and surviving. Sometimes, the silence and simple tasks he now has is much appreciated.

Other times, he can’t help the way he stop and doesn’t move for hours as he thinks. And thinks and thinks and thinks.

As much as a lot of us miss his green streak, I think he was far too happy to have it finally gone from his head.

Imagine him having to convince the preeminent to drink from the fountain to pass on, i think that was the biggest test of his patience yet.

In the silence, newly arrived dead souls can hear the sorrow footsteps of a dance long forgotten.

He hums to himself often to fill in the silence. He isn’t used to everything being so quiet, usually having other ghosts or his wind beside him. Now though, all he really has is himself. All he really ever had, was himself.

At the beginning of it all and of his duty he would wait very panicky as he practiced a speech of apology over and over again for the ninja or Wu to show up.

I think Morro accidentally noticed Lloyd from afar and began panicking. When he finally made up his mind to go and apologise, he full on slumped when he noticed they already left. He started insulting himself right after.

When Morro first met the souleaters, he thought they were adorable little beast and wanted to tame one. Never again will he make that mistake.

He’s now capable of sleeping, thought he doesn’t need too, and its not like he could sleep with everything constantly going on around him.

When he met Arin, he really had to hold back the urge to both squish him and throw him off the damn mountain.

I think he’s gotten really used to having to stop idiots from running forward into their deaths part 2.

quan yizhen and his followers are stupidly good at stumbling across magic items, to the point where its actually become a part of his mythos!!

additionaly quan yizhen: 1 is autistic (so is xl, trust), and 2 has extreme trust issues due to boththe 'tidm and his background, the brocade immortal incident took his neutral trust in Heaven and sunk it down to hell.

so he doesn't trust heaven with ANY of the magic items he is offered or that he finds, to the point where he actually just seals them into a cave labeled DO NOT TOUCH.

xie lian LOVES cursed objects and weird magic. when he finds this cave, his natural instinct is "oh i simply must possess this!" and so he takes it.

and when quan yizhen comes back snd finds his curse cave empty, he naturally tracks the qi trail back to white gold's gilded forest, and then immediately fights xie lian for the stuff.

quan yizhen loses, but he does manage to stab xie lian's leg; xie lian had so much fun so he's like "why'd you attack me!? :D"

quan yizhen tells him, assuming the ghost is going to kill him, that he can't just let those artifacts be floating around, they could hurt someone or cause problems!! and xie lian looks at him and says "im doing the same thing!"

so xie lian takes this feral god around his laur and shows him all his stuff and explains how uts guarded and tracked, and that he's got a whole catalogue detailing each item and how its cursed and what the curse does, and quan yizhen only follows at first bc obvs white gold is going to kill him, but then they get to the part thats mostly bespelled weapons and qyz completely forgets about that part.

they spend three days yelling excitedly back and forth about different weapons and fighting styles from certain kingdoms and empires and different centuries and why one part of a style continued while another was discarded-

until ling wen contacts him asking where tf he went bc hes been gone for two weeks, please come back.

anyway, xie lian gives him an open invitation to return whenever and quan yizhen and xie lian becomes friends after a few years. qyz goes to xie lian with any cursed objects that he comes across and they'll have a short (4 day long) sparring session, and xie lian teaches him about obscure magics while qyz updates him on whatever heaven is up to and where not to go when it comes to curse collecting.

now quan yizhen has a natural talent for identiying people*, regardless of what skin they're wearing, but will only reffer to them with the name they used at introduction. so when xie lian ascends for the third time, quan yizhen already knows thats his friend, the calamity white gold gathers. but xie lian told him to call him by name. so even when he's wearing his human disguise, qyz knows that thats xie lian.

this is very confusing to everyone, actually, bc why tf does general qi ying know the disgraced plague god of xianle? neither of them will explain even if directly asked.

jun wu isnt aware of this freindship either, bc xie lian doesnt bring it up, ling wen doesnt think its important, and quan yizhen just doesnt show up to court; its not worth the rffort to send two other martial gods to drag him in when he wont listen and will activrly talk over someone else, even jun wu himself.

*this talent for identifying people also works on both shi qingxuan and ming yi. quan yizhen is known for calling many, many, junior officials and low-middle class deities "ming yi". he was already known for being weird at this point so no one thought anything of it. this also means that were he to see bwx qyz would adress him as jw. this is bc he has a weird form of qi synesthesia that lets him identify individual people, but becomes overwhelming in a crowd. This is partially why he finds xie lian's domain so relaxing; other than the curses its just one signature, everywhere.

this entire relationship is s parralel to yin yu and hua cheng bc i find it really cute!

anyway quan yizhen's vacation home in the gilded forest is his actual house, his palace in heaven is basically just an empty shell. he has a small shrine for yin yu, and even prays to him.

When you think about it, Lloyd's storyline in s9 is actually lowkey kinda funny actually?

Like, think about it. Up to this point, Lloyd has been captured/imprisoned at least once in almost every season. It's kinda his whole ThingTM. Seriously. Try making a tally of all the times he is kidnapped, imprisoned, or otherwise captured/restrained in some way. Its a little depressing, actually.

Now, what's the title of s9? Hunted. What is the premise of s9? Lloyd and the survivors of s8 are being hunted down to be systematically captured and/or killed by the SoG, while the og4 are off in the First Realm facing a very similar crisis with Iron Baron.

How many people are successfully captured/imprisoned in s9? Just off the top of my head weve got the og4, Faith, Wu, a majority of dragons in the First Realm, almost everyone in the Resistance, Harumi, Garmadon if we count him going to jail...

You know who isn't on that list? Lloyd Garmadon. Yknow, the guy who normally gets captured and imprisoned so often its practically a hobby at this point. During a season thats all about people being hunted down and captured. With one of the main plotlines being about Lloyd specifically being an individual to be captured.

And yet, Lloyd isn't. Oh sure, he'll get locked up in a cage any other day of the week, but during the designated Let's Capture Lloyd Season?? Nope! In fact, he's one of the only main characters who isn't captured in this season!!! He even does some capturing of his own!!

Lloyd took a break from being caged for like two weeks and the universe made everyone else compensate for him.

A/n; inspired by anima+ a manga where people can shift not fully into animals but certain parts like neko’s. So yeah.

 Shen Yuan was the star of the show, and as such he takes it very seriously.

 As he walked into the Silver Scales Atrium, it was hosted by a…type of circus? The chinese equivelent, that is if a Circus had demons and shifted humans as well then sure.

 People, both the common and immortal came here to feast their eyes on the exotic and unique things they could never see commonly in their own mundane lives..

 “Here is your pay for the evening.”

Shen Yuan hummed once he was settled in his Masters office.  

 The pay was meager compared to what he could earn but it was something. Shen Yuan counted, while his Master, Wu Cheng gazed at him with irritation.

 Here we go again, the man never liked- or understood why he should be paying Shen Yuan and he always tried the same argument.

 “Although I still don’t see the point in why you should be payed. this money is mine as are you so why not put it in my vault for safe keeping?”

 Shen Yuan sighed after seeing all was in order placed the money on a pouch and hid it in his sleeves.

 “Don’t you like my garments?” He asked raising the sleeves and showing off the vibrant sky blue to the critical look of Wu Cheng. 

 “And my make-up and for the dance lessons aided this one with new more exciting routines?” Shen Yuan used his (newly purchased fan) to hide his face and looked up at the Master coquettishly. 

 “Has all of these purchases improved this ones performance, and even raised the value of this one. After all Master Wu has received many…offers and each offer raising higher and higher. Now imagine what they would pay if this performer happened to have treasure affiliated.”

“Paying Money with money? I don't follow.” 

“It wont be money they will be trading, sometimes people find items much more worth than gold. Such as those rather rare and expensive Solar crystals that you use for your show.”

Those crystals were very helpful for the ambiance light, face it this man was a wash up when Shen Yuan showed him the lights and how to utilise them his shows ended up becoming famous and gaining new clientels, from a washed up circus into a high brow entertainer Wu Cheng kept asking Shen Yuan for his insight.

Which he gave. 

 “This is an investment, to your most devoted and favoured specimen.” Shen Yuan would love to tie a cord around the mans throat and slowly feel him lose his breath beneith his hands.

“I still dont see why you need your own savings, what are you going to do with it?” He asked and Shen Yuan huffed, “Don’t you trust me? All purchases has been to enhance my performance. Water proof make-up and garments is difficult, and working a show under water and continue to keep it entertaining and not bore the crowd? How many fish do you have in your employ and do they do as well as me?”

 “Very well Shen Yuan.” He conceded the truth was other than Shen Yuan all the other humans who shared his ability of adjusting their forms into an animal were forgotten but thats mostly the Master’s fault, he thought sticking them in a bowl for people to gawk at would be impressive.

Which it was at first but became boring quick.

And they weren't pretty, average but not as good looking as Shen Yuan. 

 Shen Yuan had adapted, changing up his routine making them look and listen. When he was captured as a boy he made stories, like the little mermaid. 

 Yes, he plagirised,  but as a reader of Proud Immortal Demon Way and only a few vague memories of his childhood and breaking through a tutorial mode on improving his shifting abilities he was going to do what it takes to survive, dammit!

 He had slits on his neck, gills that opened so he could breath underwater, and his legs shifted to turn into a tail.

Luckily for him he didn’t have to be naked to change and then leave the aqarium. It was a bowl when he first met Master Wu and ended up making his circus a full time theatre troupe.

Shen Yuan was a man now, he grew into his looks and used make-up to accent his beauty and even tried to find ways to make himself look feminine if he pretended to be a women his value would go up.

 Shen Yuan would leave if he could, but around his ankle was a thick iron band that had an array carved into it. 

 It was only eavesdropping that made him find out what the secret to unlock it was, fire.

 Huh, smart for Master Wu but still dumb. Fire wasn’t a huge problem, and Shen Yuan of course may have played up his fear when he learned that as a child. 

 All he had to do was secure his future, if he had money then he could leave the troupe and never come back! 

 Master Wu saved enough to settle down in the Imperial city. 

Big trouble for Shen Yuan, if the Heavenly Emperor caught wind of this he’d probably request their shows for a wife plot or something.

No thank you, he would rather be a thousand miles away from binghe.

 In the timeline he guessed since the worlds were not merged they hadn’t reached the climax yet. Even so, Shen Yuan worried if the realms merged while he was in his fishbowl he may be boiled alive or spliced between two mountains- who knows?

 He played up his fear of fire, then played in the interest of helping Master Wu, he acted more like a rich noble (which yeah sure he was the son of rich parents and spoiled so what?) and was honest that he could barely survive out there with the monsters and demons and demonic cultivators! 

 And he could barely cook for himself or dress himself! (Damn these ancient robes!) so it softened the Master with Shen Yuan being so helpful, taking the performance seriously and even making up stories as well as finding unique items to elevate the sound, make fascinating lighting techniques to make the show better and earn their money.

 He was favoured and spoiled by the Master, but ot wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows, he had to throw his weight around and feel as if he was in charge.

Shen yuan, even on his best behaviour would be helpless when he would watch the Master decide to be petty and take a few coins, light an incence in close proximity making Shen Yuan tense and saw the smirk on the mans face as he toyed with the flame. 

 Shen Yuan knew, if fire happened to touch his leg and he was free he would kill the man and take that chance. 

 The braclet would of course force him to change, a fish out of water wouldn’t be able to breathe until he was rescued and carried to water immedietly.

He learned that lesson the hard way.

 Even so, his Master couldn’t hurt him physically or leave a scar it would ruin his value.

 Shen Yuan wasn’t some fish from a pond, he was a rare high class fish, better than the other merman here!

And he couldn’t leave yet- not without one more thing.

A locket tied around the Masters neck.

 In his memories it was his most precious thing, and he knew he would need that with him when he leaves. 

Master Wu taunted him with each chance he had. 

 He always liked to remind Shen Yuan who he was and how people looked down on shifters like him. He was lucky, sometimes shifters were hunted for sport.

 But his situation was worse, a certain myth appeared that eating the flesh of a mermaid gave you immortality. 

 The only reason he wasn’t cannibalised was because of the protection of the theatre troupe. 

He knew he had to plan accordingly before he left, his buyer waa finalising his contract and he knew he would have to leave soon.

 Outside, as they were making preparations for the show tonight, Shen Yuan was making rounds, making sure everyone was doing their part and all costumes and props were accounted for. 

 He’ll admit he’ll miss this part, being a technician and a stage hand alas, as he was marking down what was needed and some last minute preparations there was a sudden commotion.

 He turned to see a man dragged before Master Wu.

A man with black wings, and his feet shifted to look like claws, the men held him down and the Master gave him an appraising look.

 Shen Yuan almost stopped breathing then forced himself to relax- it wasn’t Luo Binghe he may be handsome and have black wings but what are the odds a man would be captured by someone as stupid as Wu Cheng!? 

 However, having wings was a huge advantage, it helped his chances alot if he could have assistence from someone to fly away from here.

 He could see it was about to become violent so he rushed over, placing a hand on tge mans shoulder speaking urgently.

 “Calm down, its better not to fight.” The winged man turned his gkare to him but relaxed, Shen Yuan hated using his voice like that, a sirens song.

 “With that restraint on your leg it forces you to shift but you lose all ability to use it. If you fly up chances are you would fall or break a wing.” 

“Shen Yuan! I see your taken with our new attraction! A shame of the colour of his wings though if they were white we could’ve called him an angel.”

Shen Yuan shook his head, “There are so many possibilities with a shifter thats gifted with flight.” He spoke with meaning. 

 He looped his hand through the mans arms and looked up at the Master.

 “Is he going to be our new star?”

“Don’t be silly Shen Yuan, no one could replace you.”

Shen Yuans smile stiffened but nodded, “I want to train him personally,” he felt the arm stiffen under his arm and patted it.

 “Don’t worry you’re going to be wonderful,”

 As they walked towards Shen Yuans room, he saw all the looks being give their way.

His nee charge was flighty always looking at every single person as they walked by.

 He must notice the robes. Each colour and style helped differintiate the shifters and who were human and who were the entertainment.

And the quality of the robes as well, other fosh were in pale blue or off grey colours.

Meanwhile Shen Yuans robes were always better quality, strong blues and cyans along with golden threads with patterns of dragons or flowers.

 Probably appraising the new member of their troupe. 

 “Just this way,” Shen Yuan escorted the man and shut the door behind him. 

 “Okay, oh I didn’t catch your name.”

The man glared and Shen Yuan worrried he was going to be killed then shook it off. 

 “Does a slave need a name?”

“Slave? Goodness no! We’re all performers here!” 

 Shen Yuan saw how the man was looking for an escape, or even taking in his room.

 “So if I act like you, I would be goven a pretty cage too?” He hissed.

 And Shen Yuan grimaced, “I admit bird shifters have it worse. Whenever any one sees a bird they want to possess it and clip their wings and remove the one thing they need for survival.” 

 His mood took a damp turn.

 “So can you sing? Your a bird right you should be a good singer,” now the man looked offended again.

 “Try to sing me a song, please?”

The man glared and sang, very badly and off-key. And Shen Yuan grimaced either he was really bad at singing…or he was faking.

 Down playing his value? Makes sense.

As his new charge singing was very bad, Shen Yuan observed him and tried to figure out colour combinations for his wardrobe.

He wasnmt Binghe, but red would look very fetching on him.

 “Okay. That was good,” Shen Yuan lied, then asked “But can you dance?” Now the man crossed his arms.

 Shen Yuan stepped close and patted his arms, “Okay follow my steps,” he raised the mans arms and adjusted them and began to show him how to dance the first opening number on their act.

 While they were rehearsing, as on cue the Master opened the door, not even knocking.

 “Hmm oh you have him dancing, it seems you’ve done it again.” Master Wu looked at his new asset with glee.

 Shen Yuan was familair with that look and smiled, “I already have some ideas for an act, two lovers cursed with forms never to touch each other again but return to human once and can join on land, one of the sea one of the sky.”

Master Wu nodded “Hmm, and Shen Yuan would play the lead role hmm?” 

Shen Yuan shook his head, “Yu Ren has been practising she would be the star, instead while this one could play the villain who had cursed the two. Its good to branch out in new roles.”

The Master shook his head, “Ah it would be interesting but no, they come to see you. Seeing you as a villain would break everyones hearts.”

Oh for crying out loud! Give him a backing role so he can run away damn you!

This was toing to be harder than he thought.

 “Or star crossed lovers, a raven kidnapping the mermaid and the two fall in love but the mer folk want to see justice against the kidnapper.” Shen Yuan sighed and spoke with long suffering. “I’ll pretend to be a women this time.”

The Master nodded “Anything for my a-yuan.” 

 The Master looked at the young man his gaze growing cold, “You should appreciate Shen Yuans efforts. We have nobles desperate enough to pay for lessons and he gives them to you for free.”

“Yes this one is truly grateful.” 

“What do you call yourself?” The Master asked, and the young man grit his teeth. “Hei Niao.”

Blackbird huh?

 “You are to do everything Shen Yuan says, is that clear?” 

“Yes, sir.”

“And Shen Yuan, if our little birdie misbehaves that is a reflection on you.” Shen Yuan nodded “Yes, Master Wu. This Shen Yuan understands.”

 With a flap of his sleeves the man left, as soon as the door shut Shen Yuan knew the time was now.

 He slipped a hand under his sleeve and pulled out a slip of parchment paper and placed it on the door and activated the tailsmen.

 He may not be a proper cultivator but he knows with the memories that his family came from a sect and with his knowledge of PIDW pre-transmigration he was able to cultivate enough for this.

 He practised the tailsman by practising his singing during the night very loudly, no one said anything. He could tell Hei Niao was surprised.

 “Okay- we don’t have long.” Shen Yuan spoke turning to the man and spoke quickly.

 “Can you carry me and fly?”

“What?”

Shen Yuan placed both hands on his hips, “If I’m going to help you escape your helping me too, can you carry me and fly out of here yourself.”

This will make running away so much easier! Shen Yuan knew they would hunt him down and find him near the river banks. But with Hei Niao he could fly them away.

“What- hold on, you’re a cultivator?” Hei Niao asked still looking suspicious and Shen Yuan couldn’t blame him.

 “Self taught.” 

He approached Hei Niao who stepped back warily and Shen Yuan huffed, “I’m not going to hurt you, let me take a look at that cuff.”

Now he looked interested, “You know how to break them? But why havn’t you run away yet?”

Shen Yuan dropped down to his knees and tapped the mans legs, “Come on, lift up your robes!”

 The man suddenly went very quiet so Shen Yuan huffed and did so himself.

 Shifting somtimes shifts over clothes too, convientnent of airplane so people could shift and make a run for it and not worry about being naked and such. 

 “Hmm- okay this ones easy, wait here.” Shen Yuan stood up grabbing a boot and filling it with dirt.

“…what are you doing?” 

“Your cuff is in tune with your animal. A bird in flight who never touches the ground so,”

He came back over and made him wear the boot and purposely buried the cuff in soil.”

“You’ll have to wear this for a sinchen, in that time I’m going to tell you the structure of the house. Lay low, and when the time is right we’ll leave.”

“What about your cuff? And once mine breaks how will we explain to the Master here why its suddenly gone?”

The man was very suspicious, Shen Yuan rolled his eyes.

He gestured to his own cuff and removed it, then reattatched it. 

“Fire is harm ful to mermaids, but as humans not so much.” 

“So what do you want out of this?” 

“Help me escape,” 

based in pidw, show Shen Yuan arriving at the Ring leaders office, have the man gish at his performance and give him a box which is full of scripts only for Shen Yuans eyes and since Shen Yuan did so well he has obtained new pearls for him to wear for the show. 

Shen Yuan takes them but shows distaste that he prefers a wage instead, the other fish anima sneer that its unheard of for an animal to be payed something as human as money even the ringleader agrees so SY acts demure as he raises his robes and his make-up and the high quality jewealey that glisten even in the water for the audiance to see even so many yards back he does it all for the show its his investment and hasn’t he been nothing but a devoted servant? So the master nods and flaps his hand agreeing that yes SY has been an asset which is such a shame when they’ll depart with him until the contracts go through.

Sy tenses then relaxes, ah yes have their been a decision yet? No the master says their tradeoff is t goid enough unless they give them the tools that would enhance the show especially with sy’s absense. Shen Yuan inwardly scoffs almost like trading a fish for a surround sound system. All the tools they have, crystals, linen, costumes all fire proof, water proof the glow of the crystals being a good enough light source to avoid any hazardous accidents and giving the show an etheral feel. All sy’s idea. Not only that but fire is used to remove the manacles on their legs. Fire can harm fish and since sy gave the idea for the crystals that would make it more difficult for anyone to escape. Sy always played up his fear of fire as a child, the master even lit incense near him and looked amused when sy flinched or tried to move away the master even moved close as if he’d burn him then refrained. He has to act as if he’s in ckntrol afterall it was this fish that turned this backwater tent with holes into a well established theatre trope. They was even rumours circulating that their shows would be worthy to be seen by the Heavenly Emporer himself! 

 Luo Binghe hadn’t merged the realms yet, and sy planned on running away before the time came. He had nightmares some cliff would splinch him as he was inside his bowl for a show. Sy knew he was getting older and had recieved gifts from many rich collectors who wanted a fish in their own homes. Sy can turn intk a mermaid or back to a human very convenient it was a shame he almost felt sorry for them. The master always dressed him in womens clothes or water-proof garments and make-up and played up how feminine sy was and yeah compared to the rough men here he did look like a women until he spoke. Even so, he could see why men would pay so much money for a women and by recieving gifts they were used for the circus, the master was taking them for everything the had. 

Sy one condition to not leaving the troupe was having a contract worthy of him and that someone with his level of talent to replace him, he would even train the new prodigy himself. Afterall if he played it up as retirment but still being passionate about his baby of a show, then they wouldn’t think about tightening his restrictions after all he never escaped even made it harder for escape on purpose. It was so they will be so secure that he likes being a pet they would be too shocked to see him walking out the feont door. By the time they realise he’s gone he’ll be miles away and they will never get him back.

 He already knew how to get rid of his manacle he wasnmt scared of fire the opposite he was terrified of drowning. Even so he manged his fears as he had to do it over and over again. However the locket wrapped around the masters neck was the only heirloom of his family he couldn’t leave that behind no matter what, he had a feeling it would uncover some cave or key to finding a safe place so he told Hei Niao he couldn’t leave without it it was the only thing he had left that was just his, he wouldn’t expect him to understand but if the time came to leave and sy canmt make it then to go on without him.

The two plan to fly away during the show, making them believe its lart of the act, with both manacles gone and with how relaxed they were LBH flies them lut and finds an old nest and says he built loads just in case with how high up they are and how far they’ve flown they should be safe. 

 Sy tells lbh he can hunt fish and forage and knows whats food and whats poison (thanks to his pidw knowledge) and that when they find a city they can part ways. His companion stiffens so Sy explains he would feel safer with a companion and bodyguard to the place he is going however he doesnt feel comfortable having LBH trade one master for another sy would like him to stay but wouldn’t want him to force himself out of pity or obligation, relieved lbh says he has no where to go.

The next day when they cook food, as soon as sy takes a bite of the meal that was their joined efforst he stops eating and swallows staring at the food.

Was it bad? No…it was really good… 

Lbh watches as sy looks at him, hand stiff on the bowl. You’re Luo Binghe aren’t you. 

Lbh stares with surprise, sy when the other says nothing continues eating but more subdued, if it was laced with blood parasites one drop will be enough its too late however lbh doesnt know sy is aware of his abilities only meng mo is aware of such a thing. 

How did you know. 

Luo Binghe has dark wings, black as night, is a good cook good enough to make the gods weep and is handsome. You’re also a cultivator with no sword not even a rented one, and with how well you carry yourself its impossible for you to be caltured so easily unless you meant to be caught. Why?

Lbh laughed shaking his head, “anima have been kidnapped and this lord wanted to in estigate. I figured you were part of it. The honey to lure them in in comparison to the masters whip. But you planned to escape just like the rest of them.” Wait investigated…?

“My wife has a little brother who was missing and we found the traves led to that theatre troupe. I was going to invite them to the imperial city however to appear before high society they may have done more than hide their dealings,” such as killing off anima who didnt behave or made all their buisness associates go into hiding. 

 “And this Lord was bored and decided it’d be more fun to seeing for myself how bad it was. My wives are dissmantling that theatre troupe now and finding the other lords affiliated with such a group.” 

Ah, very well then oh…Shen Yuan looked down hiding his expression but wanted to fiddle with his earings, the ones binghe got for him because maybe it reminded him of the jade pendent he couldn’t get back from his mother. 

“Well I guess we will be parting ways.” 

“Why is that?” “You’re the emporer, to have you as my body guard is beneith you.” 

“I said I was bored, helping a fish back home is the least I can do. So where is your home?” Well this was awkward. 

“Cang Qiong mountain.” 

“Are you playing a joke?”

“No I lived there, as a child some kids tried to drown me, I was swept away by the tide and then found by the troupe. All I know is that there was a place and I had a mother and father, I can barely remember their names of faces.” Luo Bi ghe was quiet and Shen Yuan smiled at him with a shrug. “I know what I will find on cang qiong, and know that what happened was an act of justice.”

“Everyone you loved would be gone.” Shen Yuan nodded “I knew when I first heard, I made my peace with it. But there is a hidden cavern.” He touched his earings “Some thing may still be there, my toys, paintings, letters or maybe nothing. I will go there and pay my respects and say that I made it home even if home is gone for me. It’s…closure.”

“Do you hate me, afterall I am the reason you have lost your home.”

“I’m surprised you havn’t killed me for being affiliated, I don’t blame you. It was justice.” Luo Binghe looked troubled and so Sy tried again. “You don’t have to come with me-“

“I’d like to, if you will let me- if my presence unnerves you then I will leave.” Huh, it wasn’t like binghe to play long con when he couod just kill sy here and now. 

“If the emporer wants to accompany me then how can I say no?” Lbh looked like he was going to protest until he saw the smile and realised he was joking. 

After the initial scare of realsing it was lbh he was with he was then excited to be travelling the worldof pidw with the protagonist he wasn’t actively trying to kill him! 

Lbh sensed his enthusiasm but then realised something. “Ah shen yuan this lord didn’t really plan on bringing anything such as spare clothes, food or money.” He looked sheepish and of course it was probably a one time mission and didnt pack heavy. 

“Oh it’s fine! I’ve got that handled,” lbh watched shen yuan in his nest and it made him feel things. Sy looked perfect in there up high in a tree away from the rest of the world and how he had his pearls around him sorting through them. And saw Shen Yuan pull them alart one by one. 

Luo Bi ghe sat near him, “what are you doing?” 

“Well with the way we’re dressed no one will believe we came by this much honestly we’ll be accused of stealing then be robbed ourselves.” 

“Well you could get away with it,” sy couldn’t it was his stage robes which were damaged when they took flight they were proofed for fire and water and other things, but the harsh elements, dirt, branches and the wear and tear? His find stage robes were not completely destroyed but not very presentable. 

“We’ll say we’re travelling cultivatirs who found some pearls by the water. We’ll hide our anima abilities. You become a target for such things and we’ll end up back at the beggining again well- Binghe can handle himself but I’d rather we avoid it altogether. You can survive anything, a little fish however? Not so much.” 

Binghe saw how sy was able to bargain and pay for more better cultivating robes, binghe offered to pay him back but sy shook his head and he payed for their meal and rooms. 

Sy fell asleep again after putting up protection talismans and binghe found himself watching Shen Yuan sleep peacfully, with uttermost trust. Luo Binghe reached out a clawed hand…and pulled up the blankets higher covering Shen Yuans neck. Luo Binghe moved to sit by the window but angled towards the door both in line of sight he goanced out into the street. And when his lips turned down he realised he was smiling. 

…handsome huh? With just a few identifiers he was able to figure out it was the Heavenly Emporer. It was fascinating.

 Luo Binghe became sy’s body guard, and when others spoke to Sy who seemed to have a sophisticated air unlike Binghe who could never pull of the gentrification unless he really tried but naturally? He wasn’t trying. They assumed he was sy’s servant which usually would be rude and something Binghe wouod punish them for, if it wasn’t for sy being offended on his behalf. They kept his identity under wraps but sy called him an extension of himself to being rude to his companion is a slap to the face of Shen Yuan! Who of course was able to sell his pearls and came across as a wealthy young Master. 

Luo Binghe found it fun to be accompaning SY who was adament on being subservant to Binghe. Shen Yuan would forage when they were on the road, ended up stripping and diving into the water for fish and then show enthusiasm when Binghe cooked him meals, and SY was still under dressed figuring he may as well not bother putting his robes back on if he’s going to sleep. Luo Binghe was getting a few mixed signals. Providing binghe with food that he would prepare for, paying for other meals and a shelter over his head, his clothes and even being so under dressed in any other scenario be it demon human or anima- that was courting! Luo Binghe stayed his hand when othersise he woild oush others down, he just had a funny feeling that Shen Yuan wasn’t expecting anything from it. And Luo Binghe didn’t know what to say about that. 

One time sy is fishing he see’s their camp ransacked and binghe was kidnapped!

Hilarity as binghe had always left sy to take care of people planning on kidnapping sy or finding out he was an anima, binghe always played the dutiful servant, unaware his missing acts made sy think he was saving some lady or wife number whatever and he was just dealing with his urges. When sy saves binghe and binghe seems shocked at the hilairity that hes saved sy so many times and yet here was sy telling BINGHE to be careful!

He wanted to kiss him. 

Of course as they drew close to Camg Qiong, Shen Yuan claimed he felt no resentment towards Binghe and that his home was nothing but a burned husk that so many had fled and the ones who stayed had died, innocent lives caught up in the calamity caused by Binghe and Shen Qingqiu’s problems. The more they got close the more the burden of what Binghe had done was weighing him down. It was different when people died but knowing someone was a victim of this slaughter and that Shen Yuan forgave him? 

Shen Yuan knew Bi ghe’s story, he read it. He only claimed he knew so much because of rumours and that he’s made peace that his home is gone but he always knew that either he died in that theatre troupe or sold off and would never return to his family without Binghe. So as he arrived he understood what happened he couldn’t forgive binghe it wasnt his place but he tried to tell binghe he was fine. 

But Binghe assumed that sy knew so much about him because he always kept an ear out about cang qiong and maybe thats why he stayed in the theatre trope for so long.

 They had to find the entrance, only the earings sy was wearing was a token that would allow them in. He said his baba wore whote robes while his father wore black. The names they called each other was A-jiu and Qi-ge. Luo Binghe didnt recognise such names. So they scaled the mountain trying to find places that was familair and yet because of the burned wreckage made it unrecognisable.

 Sy as he’s walking around Qing Jing Peak aware that binghe was unconfortable and tried to make it as quickly as possible- ends up finding binghes destroyed pendent. Luckily binghe told sy about it and when sy presented it Binghe looked heartbroken. “I killed Ming Fan for this,” when he claimed he didn’t know about it it was the truth and Binghe clenched his hand around it, shame making him wilt, but sy thought its because of his destroyed precious heriloom. “We can fix it, I’m sure there’s people who can mend such things and restore it the way it is.” Binghe shook his head, no it should stay as it is. Fixing the pendent won’t bring back Ming Fan, wont return Cang Qiong to its former glory. Wont return Shen Yuan to his parents who may have died during Luo Binghe’s revenge. 

Binghe had no idea fire would consume so much.

They find the entrance at Qing Jing peak right near the pendent.

Shen Yuan never in all his fantasies had guessed who his parents were. He had memories from both his lives of his loved ones, of warmth. Of the reassurance that he could come home and maybe one of his parents were smart enough to survive long enough to be there for him.

Binghe walked around the room- a nursury finding toys, drawings and other objects belonging to two people this was a home hidden away and protected from the fires of binghes rage. There was a scroll on a cabinent and Luo Binghe opened it up and read the first few lines.

He felt sick. He gave the scrowl to Shen Yuan and saw the others face read it. Unlike sy, Binghe knew there was no such thing as coincidence. That sy parents were nobodies.

Shen Yuan was taking it badly, he dodn’t cry, he didn’t scream or take it lut on Binghe he just hummed nodding and folded the paper back up. “I’m not surprised.” 

So Sy had a feeling too? He looked around the room taking it in as an adult and finally seeing each of the objects and recalling such memories long forgotten. 

The drums on a vanity, along with a fan. The scrowl said the fan was a goft to Shen Yuan when he came of age. Something his Baba wanted to pass down to. The scrowl told them they made SY from scratch. Some xianxia flower that allowed two men to make a child and they spoiled him rotten. He never thought to apply those memories of his loved ones, to that of the Scum Villain and Sect Leader.

 It was wrong, because SY hated Shen Qingqiu, for how he treated Binghe, for being a scum villain as a fan of PIDW he got what he deserved he relished in his torture and knew he Shen Qingqiu shouldnve been castrated. The memories of his baba teaching him how to walk, being patient with him- caring for him? Doing his hair-

Sy bit his lip turning away from Binghe gripping his arms. He never could’ve conceived both were the same person - and that as a transmigrator he could have some distance as a fan to the story- but he had memories he experienced them he never thought his father was the scum villain. 

He looked at Binghe for once almost in trepidition. He was the son of the man who tortured Luo Binghe- surely Binghe would use this as an opportunity- he did he already know? Was he going to reveal himself that he lretended to be kind to Shen Yuan before he dragged him back to Huan hua to use as leverage against Shen Qingqiu. 

“Shen Yuan?” The looked he gabe Binghe was devastating. Luo Binghe had already felt the consequence of his actions but seeing Shen Yuan look at him in fear, expecting a blow or to be hurt-

“Don’t- shen Yuan I will never hurt you- you have done nothing to this Lord that would justify laying a hand on you,”

“But Shen Qingqiu-“

“Its done with.” Luo Binghe knew what he had to do. “Shen Qingqiu has payed tgere is nothing left for this Lord to do other than hurt others unnescarily.”

Shen Yuan didn’t look like he believed him. Luo Binghe huffed as he picked up the fan and looked at the patterns on the fabric. “I had guessed that you may be related to Shen Qingqiu in some way, as a disciple I heard rumours,” from Ning Yingying of course. “That Shen Qingqiu had changed, he used to be well not kinder but a little more easier to deal with. Until he lost his son. This Lord never understood why someone who can be so cruel could take out their aggression on others. Until I meet you.” Luo Binghe looked at Shen Yuan, and he understood how someone like Shen Qingqiu could be so enraged so devestated can be so unfeeling to others suffering to Binghe’s suffering when god knows what was happening to his son. Binghe had read the contract Master Wu had made and almost given Shen Yuan to the client before his escape. It made Binghe’s blood boil, and he knew Shen Qingqiu would want to hunt down both men and string them up their their wrists and paint the town with their instestines. Even Luo Binghe had kept markers on them smiling kindly to Shen Yuan but plotting revenge on his behlaf with him none the wiser. Eating a mermaids flesh can prolong your life. But these men wanted more than flesh they wanted to use Shen Yuan like he was a concubine, the things in that ckntract will even make a prostitue blush or wretch. And its the reason why Binghe showed no mercy to the ones who wanted to capture and lure SY and put him back in that hell. The one time Binghe was captured is because he slipped up but every single time they would look at SY in towns, charmed by his face, by his soft voice and his gentle demenour. “This Lord has only known Shen Yuan for a short amount of time, and can now finally understand why Shen Qingqiu was so cruel.” 

Luo Binghe looked at Shen Yuan with such regret, and Shen Yuan so no reason on why binghe would have to lie, if he knew he would’ve dragged sy to huan hua and tossed him in the water prison.

“Shen Yuan, come with me to Huan Hua, its this Lords fualt you don’t have a home.” Whoop there it is.

“Will I be a prisoner?”

“No! You can read beastieries or even go on night hunts if you want you can leave anytime as long as you have protection, this Binghe swears to keep you alive as a small penance to what I have done. I can't return Cang Qiong to you, or your parents but I can help you find a place to stay, somewhere safe until you figure out what you want to do.

Shen Yuan nodded, okay.

Once Shen Yuan settled Luo Binghe applied a servant to help SY and left him to his own devoces. The servant even dropped hints that he could leave the palace as long as sy had his token to come back in. Sy realised binghe was trying really hard to make him feel at ease. It just made him feel more irritated as if he was made of glass. Theres no yse crying over spilled milk! He lost his home he knew that for years he made plans to settle down or make his own circus troupe but hired animas instead if kidnapping them and making his own shows and performance however after a close call he realised why binghe kept going out at night he had no clue he called so much attention to himself and realised he’d have to wear a disguise. 

As he came back yo huan hua binghe was there he must of heard their run in with slavers.

Sy mentions he’ll wear a disguise and Luo Binghe nodded thinking it best. But doesnt tell sy he’s striking down on the discrimination against anima and the unlawful kidnapping and as emporer was able to do something about it.

Long rant about Jay (not a hate rant quite the opposite actually)

I hate that they got rid of Jay's mechanic/inventor traits as time went on. And instead of just bringing those traits back they keep introducing characters to fill In that role.

Like Im sorry but why are 3 of the 4 gals apart of the main group into mechanics or deals with tech in someway??? Why is Wyldfyre the only gal who doesn't have an interest In tech????

Nya, Sora and Pixal all fulfill essentially the same tech role and while that's fine as they can easily fulfill different aspects, my issue is WHY NOT BRING JAY'S SKILLS BACK THEN?

They r clearly not afraid of multiple characters fulfilling similar roles so why was Jay the only one who's mechanic skills were stripped away?

Like his skills were so important in the earlier seasons he helped out so much and even got the bounty for fuckin fly?? Like his skills in machinery was also a reason why wu chose him too so to strip that away just makes no sense?

Like I'll forever be salty about this, his intelligence in machinery was so interesting to see especially when u consider the comedic kinda of character he's supposed to be. They could easily made him the mad scientist type of inventor/mechanic but they just hate fun and whimsy and would rather he be just comedic relief and nothing else I guess.

I hate how they treated Jay like he was stupid in later seasons too. They really dumbed him down instead of being the smart comedic relief he's the dumb comedic relief and I HATE it. bro literally deals with mechanics and made shit from scraps if there is one thing he ISNT, is stupid.

Like if they had just made him, let's say not emotionally intelligent i could understand. This is my own personal headcanons coming through, but i don't think he was around many other humans aside from his parents and occasional mail man growing up, and while i dont think he means to come off as a jerk, he tends to say shit without thinking it through as we have seen ALOT and that could be chalked up to him dealing more with machines than people. So If they had just focues on his lack of emotional intelligence, THAT I could understand and would have been fine with. Obviously this is more my own headcanon coming through but u get the idea

But they just made him more all around stupid and I just find that so hard to believe.

I also hate that all of Jay's conflicts tend to involve Nya. Like I know they yin/yang but cmon bro, not every conflict Jay goes through has to focus on his relationship with Nya. Let this man get SOME interesting characterization that isn't based around Nya CMON

I saw a few posts on here talking about Jay's characterization and I just had to jump In with my two cents cuz it's crazy how they brutalized him in later seasons. The Fandom tries their hardest to keep the mechanic aspect of Jay alive and I appreciate that so much cuz it's a crime they got rid(or forgot or whatever) of it later on

Whoa, I really love your AU of Arin meeting up with Lloyd. I wanted to asked would you do the alternate version when Sora ended up going back in time during the merge instead of Arin?

The difference between the reason why I chose Arin instead of having Sora be with them too (Other than hands of times’ complications) was because Sora was inside Imperium(her room) when the merge happened, so unless I changed her going outside during it, she couldn’t get sent back by the merge. But yeah, I do think it would be interesting to see Sora and Lloyd instead too (some ideas i had was that Sora learns her powers in rebooted and actually gets her true potential there, she COOKED cryptor up and you know it) I do think they would be interesting but the thing thats different would also be the fact that Sora is not a ninja fan, thats only cause Arin is the one who always yaps to her abt it <3 so things like future vision wouldn’t really take part in this and such but Sora’s connection with dragons definitely would be shown in this with ultra and such.

And another thing is, I don’t think Sora would go with Wu, Nya and Kai into the vortex, less sacrifice herself like Arin because she has no idea about stuff happening (Arin’s prior ninja knowledge is what fueled him to saving Wu and sacrificing himself, if Sora never knew about Master Wu disappearing when the ninjas needed him the most like Harumi and Garmadon coming back, why would she refuse Wu’s wishes to be the one to fight the twins when Wu himself also sent her down) so yeah either way I don’t know how Sora will be going back if this does happen.

Along with that, Sora isn’t from ninjago, she knows nothing about the ninjas- again with how she said to Arin “we didn’t have anything like the ninjas where I’m from” so, she has no past self there, she’s just chilling (what she doesn’t realize is that this is breaking the timeline it hadn’t occurred to her until I would think Hands Of Time so she wouldn’t be as careful about making a change- she WANTS to make a change, I see her character as one that wants to stand out, to stand up and make a change especially due to how Imperium is dealing with everything like the dragons. She doesn’t realize what she’s doing (like being the one that could destroy the golden master before it started and Zane not dying due to her being able to save ninjago with her true potential) is altering so many events that it would have increasingly shifted the future, shifting so much it could have affected so many people, Think like Across the Spiderverse, Miles went to save someone that was destined to die and the whole universe rips apart, despite ninjago not ripping apart and everything this would I think cause the merge to be even more unstable if she doesn’t leave by Hands Of Time. (Though you know she’d get bad vibes from Harumi and Lloyd would just joke that she’s jealous when she literally isn’t and just think something’s up w Harumi)

hiii new mutal!!! before i say anything i want to say that my au is heavily (excuse my poor english) inspired by pirate au that belongs to @enavstars and another jaya fisherman au that belongs to calypsolemon you shoudl totally check them out too!!

anyways, in my fisher man au jay is collage drop out who over took after his dad the family bussines after his dad had an accident while fishing and cant work anymore. he isnt happy but he needs to make living for his parents now. he everyday brings fish to a local old butcher wu who is considered wierd and unaprochable, but to jay he seems like a really sweet grandpa. the rumors say he used to teach fighting techniques back in his youth. Cole is a lumberjack (i think thats what its cald... its a throw back to an original show after seson 3 when the ninja team split) and jays bestfriend since high school!! zane is a weird sone fo a retired doctor julien who lives in the glass house, zane was home schooled (he is human in this au so is pixal) and is pretty socialy akward. jay knows him a little since he went to his dad for tuttoring when he was aplying for collages and cole has a slight crush on him but never got a currage to talk to him. lloyd is a student in a private school and comes to his uncles (wus) shop to do his home work before his dad can pick him up with his "friend" harumi, while kai and nya are sirens. every other role is minor like skylor is a chef of a resturant that buys from wu (they make so much sushi) and pixal is jays friend from collage that jay didnt cut off when he dropped out. morro is included but he is away probably studing or something... (lazy, havent tought about it yet) but back to lore!! jay was on his boat fishing late at night. He is scared since many fisherman went missing latly and the time of his dads accident doesnt add up.... they said the waves tipped of his boat and he had to get injured by some rocks... but the sea was calm that night- and his dad injury looked like somone took a bite out of his leg!! as he thinks sudently something hits his boat from the bottom! getting startled he tought its justa big fish... a big fish trying to tip over his boat. he think quickly and trows the net into the water and pulls... something catched! when he looked it was a brown haired siren (aka kai) biting the nett wiggling trying to free himself, in a panick he drops the nett with the siren. the siren beaks free and tries to sing but he hits it oar before waddling away the fastest he can. next day he told everything to cole who of course didnt belive him. but jay knew... that siren must be the reson fishermen are going missing! and probably the one who caused his dads accident taking a chomp out of his leg!! they talk as they walk to wus shop with what he menaged to catch before getting attacted by the creature while bickering. As they enter jays heart sinks... at the desk sits no other then the siren... with an ice pack pressed against their forehead. as jay looses his breath wu introduces kai as his friends son who will stay here for the summer working for wu. before jay can couse a scene the siren who also recognized jay goes to hide in the back. thats it for now... its kinda hate to love relationships, definitly a slow burn. i woudl meaby post it on AO3 but i like never written anything in my life :pp and i dont even know how to start. once again sorry for my bad grammar!! if you have any other qyestions the box is always open ^^

No youre not weird I have many too lol

- designs for the main ninja where they're all either white or pale. Its sort of sus to me when people make kai tan(ish) but not nya. Like, why? (<- the answer is colorism. Obviously the prettly girl is pale but the angry guy is tan(ish) ). Also hate when the only tan or darkskinned one is Cole (and hes usually sort of grey).

- 'girlboss' nya where shes dumbed down to 'strong woman character' which is a thiny vieled 'shes the mom of the group' fanonization ngl. Nya is strong and capable, angry and opinionated but none of that is actually captured in the baseless trope applied to her. I see it a lot in fanon Jaya and it bugs the shit out of me.

- misako slander/hate, its literally just misogny. Barely anyone talks about Garmadon the same way.

- lava shippers who feel the need to bring up lava on geode posts. Or lava shippers who hate on geode or geo in general I find incredibly annoying. Another thing is when some of them act like lava was Ever gonna be canon like. Broski, when and where did you find evidence of that?

- fanon jay like. Entirely.

- on a similar note, fanon bruise. I hate haaate the yaoi-topification of Cole lol. I find bruise's dynamic, both platonic or romantic, fancinating and its frustrating to see them so dumbed down.

- big hater of the idea that Jay has to short or cole has to be tall or this or that.

- wu haters die by my blade. Wu's tries so fucking hard and is flawed but apparently people can't view a character in full. Whatever.

- I incredibly dislike woobified morro. Espicially when people make his actions seem less bad or less his choice in a mock way to make him seem more "redeemable." I find it funny that people can't seem to accept that their fav is a bad person and/or did bad things. Recongizing that doesn't make him any less "worthy" of redemption. That's not really how redemption works, at least in my mind.

i take it back. i dont ship zutara anymore. I dont care if you do, but so many things are weird about the ship. also, i dislike the idea of firelady Katara, why would Katara want to help run a nation. I just dont like zutara. especially with how bad a lot of the shippers are. the mischaracterization. and the babyifing and adultification of characters. especially since i saw a tweet(Its tweet and twitter. i will deadname the app) talking about a scenario where Katara is Zukos slave?? (which is romanticizing slavery)

and especially, since they turn everything aang does with katara into one of them being entitled. arguements i've seen(yes, from the past):

Wouldnt their fates be intertwined? Which is why it's a good thing I fully don't believe she WAS talking about Aang, and this episode unintentionally serves the anti-Kataang narrative so well its not" 1. Aunt Wu also said that shes going to marry a powerful bender. now last time I checked, Zuko isnt that. 2. The avatars destiny is the same, so im guessing since most avatar destinies are the same there is nothing about romance because the avatar was made with one goal 3. Aunt Wu is only right because the person who shes telling the fortune to consumes themself to that fortune. an example is the red shoe guy. 4. Aunt Wu was wrong about the lava, sure she was right about other things but thats because the people believed the fortunes. "*enjoys seeing Aang get smacked in the face by reality that Katara is not his "forever girl", act salty and jealous about her and Zuko, and finally get called out for his flaws*" 1. Aang would never do that. 2. I think Aang would be able to handle Katara not being his forever girl. 3. which flaws? yes, he has flaws, but none of this actually is good for your arguement at all.

"you know, for a show that claims kat/aang was “planned from the start” and “in its DNA” it sure is weird that we didn’t get a single scene of them discussing the fact that they’re both the last of their respective peoples. like, it’s a significant source of trauma for both of them and yet the show not only doesn’t spare even a moment for them to bond over it" last time i checked, you're not a show writer. and also, considering they both focused on their own things they had no idea for this type of scene. Katara would leave if she wanted to, she would NOT let a man get in the way of her feelings . if she didnt share feelings, she would be able to talk about it. IN Noodles or Death, I imagine Wu was the one to discover Pigsy's disappearance. And once they get Tang and Pigsy back, learn how they got into Spider Queen's web to begin with, and made sure eavesdropping little ears are safely away... he definitely let's his adopted parents have it. That ENTIRE scenario was far too much like the most obvious traps the Pilgrims used to fall for, the only saving grave being that at least it wasn't Tang who was fooled but really he had expected better of Pigsy!

Oh Wukong/Wu would be pissed to be getting his adoptive dads out of the Spider Queen's grasp.

He realises that something is mega-off when neither Pigsy nor Tang are at the restaurant when he goes to open for the day. MK is worried too and mentions the market... Wu tells his son not to worry and decides to go ahead to look for them.

Wukong texts Macaque that he needs his ears for a moment.

Pigsy and Tang argue inside the Spider Queen's lair - mostly Tang being a jealous husband and Pigsy apologizing for getting lured in by the spider demon's charm.

Suddenly, a very upset monkey demon busts through the floor! Another monkey with six lotus-shaped ears waves from the street-level hatch.

Spider Queen is confused af, who's these monkeys? Holy shit she recognises that chubby monkey man!

Spider Queen: "Man, what happened to you?" Wukong, wearing his restaurant clothes and crocs: "Had kids." Spider Queen: "Ah. Understandable."

The Spider Queen still manages to grab a few hairs off of Wukong from where he brushed up against some webs, so she still has her plans in motion.

Wukong and Macaque get back to the restaurant, tells MK there was "just a hold up at the market" (mostly so he wouldn't freak out over spiders), and promptly starts chewing Tang and Pigsy out.

Wukong: "Now thats out of the way; What. Is. The. Matter. With. You!?" Tang: "I know! I told him something was off!" Wukong: "You're not getting out of this Tang! You know how many times I had to save Master's ass from demons!? If you were really suspicious - you would have hung back and called the cops when Pigsy went in! And seriously boss!? A flirty spider demon?! That's literally a trope in horror novels now! I can't believe you fell for it!" Macaque, laughing to himself: "I can."

Wukong proceeded to yell at his adoptive dads for the next hour until it was time for the lunch rush.

At this point my page is gonna be all about Morro and his similarities to characters, BECAUSE NYA AND MORRO HAVE SO MANY TOO?

Like situation wise/life wise I’d say their pretty different. But personality? Their elements? Who they are and how they carry themselves? Now thats where the similarities sit.

Both Nya and Morro are shown to be some of the most elementally strong characters in the show, their only contenders being each other and Lloyd (and Lloyd’s Lloyd, so theres that). They both gained their elements from Wojira, and i think that is a strong reason as to why they are both so similar to each other and to their elements.

Water and wind are both elements known for their freedom and knowledge, for being uncontrollable and followings its own whims whenever it wants. Both elements go where they please, take whatever shape they please, and are deadly powerful. Morro and Nya both perfectly represent their elements. They both are shown to be determined and stubborn, have the ability to be soft whilst also being sharp and deadly, they are both forces of nature so well tuned to their elements that its very unlikely to be seen from past elemental masters.

They both are probably considered prodigies simply due to the power of their elements, but they only reached the levels they have due to nonstop hard work to prove their worth. Their egos are probably nonexistent, but their prides are high up. Their goals, their morals, their wishes? They are determined to fulfil them no matter the cost.

(Please look up the definitions to determined, ego, and pride. Not cause you’re dumb but because knowing the definition if you didn’t already gives a way clearer understanding to my point rather then just knowing the word(i had to look up their meaning too to be sure it fits))

They both are also sarcastic little dimwits who are annoyingly smart. They both have high expectations for themselves and would hate to disappoint others. They also refuse to listen to others opinions if they are 99% sure they are wrong and have short tempers. They both are stupidly cool and know what they are doing.

I could go on and on about how elementally and personality wise they are super similar, but its heavily hidden by the paths they both ended up taking. Despite them both being considered normal and almost being outcasts, they both ended up being super important and powerful later on and grew to become better. Except, Morro was put under impossible expectations. And when Nya had that done to her, Wu was better at teaching and understanding and she was raised by someone who had a strong moral compass. These differences had caused their situations to be significantly different, and has made people point out Morro’s similarities to Kai and Lloyd more, when personally i think those two are the most different to Morro.

Anyways, Nya and Morro could be the best duo cause imagine resurrected Morro and Nya, both being the strongest duo to existence as they bicker like children.

Basically hc's with the ninja who have a little sibling(the reader) and they have these like witch powers that they're trying to control. The ninja of that scenario try to help the reader with various training sessions, leading them to be a mentor for them. When the reader gets the hang of their powers the ninja are reminded of a memory of their childhood where the reader helped the ninja as children in a really dark time and the ninja see the training sessions as repayment for the readers help all those years ago.

Ninjago - Being the Ninjas’ Little Witch Sister

Zane

When you first ask him to train you, he’s a bit surprised

Of course he agrees though

He proves to be a very patient teacher, both with you and himself as you both continue to learn

He reads up on magic extensively to better know how to help you

He also frequently consults master Wu

If there’s something he doesn’t know, he’ll just tell you to do something else while he researches it

He doesn’t want you doing anything he isn’t able to predict/help you with

Both for your safety and for the sake of your surroundings

As you master concepts, he moves on to progressively harder ones until you’re a skilled witch

His meticulous teaching would have rubbed off on you, so you rarely make mistakes, doing things by the book

Or should I say grimoire?

One day, when he’s watching you perform a healing spell on an old man, he remembers the first time you used your powers

It was when Dr. Julien fell down the stairs

Zane remembers hearing him cry out in pain; the sound still haunts him to this day

He was terrified that his father was fatally wounded

But when he rushed to his side, you were already there, holding his wrinkled hands with yours, which were glowing

You had unintentionally used a healing spell

If you hadn’t, Dr. Julien might have actually been seriously hurt

Zane’s forever thankful for that, and this forever thankful for you

Kai

He’s stoked that you want him to teach you

He always thought your powers were cool, and he’s excited to test their limits with you

He always pushes you hard, which can get a little exhausting

Eventually he’ll ease up a little as he realizes that you need rest

If there’s something he doesn’t know, he encourages you to try it anyway

Meanwhile he’s hiding behind a metal shield in the corner

You learn through experimentation, which leads to many, many failures

But Kai never stops encouraging you to keep trying, and eventually you master your powers

You start joining the ninjas on missions, and one time you used a spell that knocked an entire posse of attackers on their backs

Kai stared at you with wide eyes, flashing back to the time you used a similar spell

It was back at the blacksmith shop; a particularly obnoxious customer was insisting that he “test” a sword

He ended up snatching it and running at Nya with the clear intention of nabbing her

It was then that you used the spell, downing the assailant

Kai had stared at you with the same wide eyes back then

But now he smiled, feeling grateful that you were always there to help protect those closest to you

Jay

Much like Kai, he’s more than thrilled to mentor you

Most of his teaching consists of him insisting you try things he’s seen in movies and comics

Which makes lessons fun, but disappointing at times when you can’t figure things out

In his excitement sometimes he’ll insist you try your spells on him

This has led to the both of you getting hurt many times

Yet neither of you seem to learn your lesson

He’s quick in getting you out on the field

He wants you to be able to test more dangerous things, and he sees the battlefield as the perfect spot to do so

So he’ll take you along on missions pretty early on, making sure you stick to his side so he can protect you

But when your moment comes, he yanks you forward and pushes you towards the enemy like a rag doll

The slight panic this induces in you amplifies your spells

Once you used a spell that released a bright flash of light at the enemy, blinding them

Jay recognizes the spell

It was much smaller at the time, but you had used it when you were both kids

The power was out at the junkyard, and you were both alone while Ed and Edna went to fix the fuse

Jay was terrified in the dark; he was literally about to have a panic attack when your little cupped hands summoned a ball of light

Mesmerized, he forgot his panic, instead smiling hugely at you

He claps you on the back when he remembers that moment, silently beaming with pride at all the progress you’ve made

Cole

He thinks being a magic mentor sounds pretty cool, so of course he agrees when you ask for some lessons

He’s a really chill teacher; almost to an annoying extent

If there’s something he doesn’t know, he just shrugs and asks what you think

(Which happens more often than you’d like)

He won’t encourage you to try more dangerous things until you’re ready though

He always reminds you to be careful and not overwork yourself

Progress is slow, partly because you’re pretty much guiding your own training

He’s just there to support you

Eventually he decides that you’re ready for some real action

Well. Long story short you ended up falling off a cliff with him

But you used a spell that froze you midair right before you hit the ground

You both planted your feet safely on the ground, quaking from the adrenaline

Cole is reminded of a strikingly similar moment from your childhood

You were rehearsing a dance routine on stage

He wasn’t paying attention, and he ended up twirling right off the stage

But luckily you were there, and you froze him in the air when his face was mere inches from the floor

He had hugged and thanked you profusely that day, and he did the same now, lifting you off your shaky feet and kissing your cheek endlessly

Lloyd

He has some experience with magic, but not enough to make him a very competent teacher

He’s humble when he teaches you, always admitting when he isn’t sure

He’ll go with you to find out more when there’s something he doesn’t know

You always learn together :)

He makes sure you don’t push yourself too hard; he knows what that’s like, and it isn’t fun

So your training is a little slow but very steady

He lets you decide when you’re ready to go on missions

He trusts you to know your own capabilities, so if you think you can hold your own, then you can hold your own

That doesn’t mean he’s any less impressed when you turn your opponent into a ferret

He remembers when you pulled a similar move several years ago

You were both cornered by bullies, with Lloyd in front, trying to protect you

Suddenly you pushed past him, pointing your finger at the main culprit and turning him into a mouse

The effect only lasted a few seconds, but it was enough for you both to get away

Lloyd laughed aloud at the memory, ruffling your hair proudly

Nya

At first she readily agrees to help train you

But as time progresses, it becomes obvious how incompetent you both are in magical knowledge

She knows a bit, but not nearly enough to coach a fledgling witch

She gets almost as frustrated as you when you try and fail to learn spells

But she calls on her knowledge from her own training, and she realizes that first she needs to fix your attitudes

So you both adopt a more “go with the flow”-esque style, and the spells start clicking

You both glow with excitement at each new mastered concept

High fives all around!! :D

She’s eager to get you on the battlefield; she knows how much it sucks to have to wait

You come to a massive gorge on your first mission, one too big to jump across

You use your magic to create a bridge, allowing everyone to cross safely

As she crosses, Nya recalls seeing a similar miracle performed by you in the past

You had both gone out to pick flowers in the woods

There was a flash flood while you were out, and the little creek you had to cross to get home had become a raging cascade of impassable muddy water

But you had used your little bridge spell, and you both made it safely home

(IMPORTANT NOTE: I REFER TO CHARACTERS BY THEIR ACTUAL NAMES IF I DON'T HAVE A NAME FOR THEM YET, THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT I'M NAMING ANYONE NYA OR WYLDFYRE OR ANY OF THAT!!!)

OK !!! So the details are very messy cuz I just came up with this idea last night while drawing my guy the Nightmare King from Dreamzzz... Basically it's this super self-indulgent story where I just mix shit from Dreamzzz/Ninjago/LMK/Chima for the fucken sake of it!!!

In this story, the main characters are a Kai ripoff, Nya ripoff, and a Wyldfyre ripoff!!! Wyldfyre ripoff is Kai's youngest sister (Kai 22, Nya 20, Wyldfyre 8-10, probably 10), and she also has a pet dragon who she found years ago (knockoff Heatwave!!!)

For elemental powers, those are like these magical crystals called Elemental Cores, which you are blessed with (idk how yet) by ancient dragon lords (they all go by kings but they're not all men.) Kai has his Core somehow, and same for Nya! Unfortunately, Wyldfyre doesn't yet, either due to being too young or not proven herself yet! She doesn't let it bum her out too much because her epic dragon can grant her sort of temporary Core powers (kinda like Chi from Chima). Unbeknownst to them there's a special reason Wyldfyre and the others can accept powerups like this without detrimental side effects (I won't tell.)

The story goes something like this, a few years ago (probably between 3-5) Kai's parents and uncles (in this story Wu and Garmadon are his uncles) mysteriously go missing, and in present day he hears rumors of an ancient dragon king (Overlord) whose darkness has slowly been festering and increasing greatly. Initially, Kai doesn't care, "Surely if this nonsense were to be true, the great Dragon Knights (he doesn't know it, but they're his dad and uncles) will find out about and stop it!" Idk WHY he decides to go yet, but he takes Nya and the dragon, and leaves Wyldfyre with the others... but she does her own thing and follows. It's too late to turn back now, so reluctantly, Kai has to keep his baby sister out of trouble!

For characters, I'm not too sure how many I'm taking from which series' yet...

I know I have Kai, Nya, Wyldfyre, a Lloyd/Arin combo possibly, Jay, Ray, Maya, Wu, Garmadon, the Overlord, and Misako. I'm ALSO taking Lord Ras for self-indulgence reasons, and renaming naming him Korros (for fun and maybe Wu/Korros exes yaoi!) I also know I wanna get some Monkie Kid inspiration, so I'm thinking of the Lady Bone Demon, but crossed with fanon interpretations of the Preeminent as well! Also, again self-indulgence, Nightmare King from Dreamzzz, and also totally Cinder come the fuck on I need Cinder.

I dunno if I'll add Zane or Cole tho... part of me wants to do a Kalmaar knockoff just for one hyperspecific joke of like, Korros is taking forever to find some hidden mechanism in a wall, and Kalmaar goes "you know, i wouldnt have killed my father if i knew what followed would be so boring."

I have many other thoughts brewing in my brain but WHEW thats the gist of it.
