All those in-character blogs that have been floating around Ninblr lately, retelling the series from that character's POV in a liveblog format (so far I've only encountered ones for Zane and Lloyd), are so deeply fascinating to me. Not just because I have a degree in multimedia studies and subversive storytelling is a deep passion of mine - though rest assured I could happily rant about the academic intrigue of this trend for hours - but also because of the implications.
Like. Just picture in your head the mental image of the ninja at every major plot event going "oh wait! I gotta update the silly Tumblr people about this" and everyone stops the fight to let him finish his liveblog update before resuming combat like nothing happened. Or like, they experience some profound trauma, and the first thing that comes to mind is "omg just wait till my followers hear about this". I'm obsessed. 10/10 no notes, there is no better way to experience ninjago and I hope the ops keep it up

Every time i remember Kai became a ninja because he wanted to protect and save his little sister, who was realistically his only friend in the world and who he loves more than anything, I lose it a bit
#do you think if kai got sent back to pre-pilots it would fuck him up#like. when he saved nya he came out of that adventure with like 4 new people to call his familg#and now looking at how happy he is in the later seasons. how expansive his network#but then you drag him back to the loneliest period in his life#and you say 'the only way you can guarantee you get that happy ending is if everything goes exactly how it did the first time'#'but your loved ones will have to suffer in order for the timeline to be preserved'#like. i know im a bit off topic but i think hed lose his mind if DR era kai had to suffer through pre-pilots loneliness again
