My newly discovered fear of surgical needles is so weird. Since I am barely afraid of anything, really (maaaaybe it has something to do with my sadomasochistic tendencies) so it’s weird for me to be so scared of such a mundane thing. I am not afraid of the needle itself — I can easily hold it and use it for things that aren’t “piercing my flesh” — and I am not afraid of the pain it causes as I easily withstand it. About an hour ago I calmly stared at a cannula sticking out of my arm, unfazed, so it’s not even the fact that something is sticking out of my flesh. I think it’s the very process of piercing that I am afraid of enough to start panicking at the sight of a surgical needle, which is such an irrational fear that tbh

i'm still so mad that one of my friends heard a Funny Childhood Anecdote and instead correctly was like hm that sounds like it checks all the boxes for pica. i don't want to have pica. i still don't believe that not everyone eats paper and candy wrappers and just doesn't swallow most of them because they can't be digested even if they're fun to gnaw and maybe even to swallow. what the fuck do you mean you haven't eaten grass and rocks and paper and stuff. what do you mean most people don't get tired and curious and snap up mouthfuls of soap. i don't believe you and i hate that it's almost literally the entire diagnostic criteria except that I don't like the idea of a solid tangle of plastic being cut out of ly intestines so it hasn't gotten there.

Swords, guns, and wands have symbolic meaning in both Homestuck and Fragments, but they're completely different symbolic meanings. This is for several reasons: one, even though one is a fanwork of the other, they are different stories with different themes; two, all of these things are phallic, and Fragments isn't about gender nearly as much as Homestuck is about gender, despite having more canonically trans characters (it's still about gender though. A little bit. Mostly with Vereni and the Tembits' story arcs); and three, Fragments has significantly more out there weaponry at times, and much of it is a joke (much of Homestuck's Is Also A Joke). This has been Fun With Flags, I'm Sheldon Cooper.

The fact the episode with Needles is called Introductions kind of implies this is not the last we’ve seen of Needles
