Tienduizenden Nederlanders steken 23 maart de handen uit de mouwen voor een schone buurt. Ook Soest doet mee met dit landelijk initiatief van Support voor Schoon.  De gemeente stelt materialen zoals grijpers, handschoenen en afvalzakken beschikbaar en zorgt voor de afvoer van het ingezamelde afval. Soest ruimt zwerfafval op: 23 maart 10.00-14.00 uur Opschoonmaterialen zoals handschoenen, grijpers en afvalzakken kunnen tussen 10 en 14u worden opgehaald op twee locaties: Winkelcentrum Overhees in Soest en Odijkplein in Soesterberg. Op deze plekken kan ook tot 14.00 uur het verzamelde afval worden ingeleverd. Kinderen die een volle afvalzak inleveren, krijgen een leuke set stoepkrijt. Volwassenen kunnen na afloop nog even napraten onder het genot van een drankje en hapje. Een derde uitvalsbasis is Stayokay Soest aan de Bosstraat. Daar start om 10.30 een opruimactie (aanmelden via Stayokay). Beeld: gemeente Soest Wethouder Aukje Treep roept iedereen op mee te doen Aukje Treep: “Doe mee aan Soest Schoon!
