So... I randomly decided to bite into a carton of almond milk and my "fangs" pierced it's top and bottom and now it's leaking like a wounded animal and i don't know what to do 😭 I just wanted to know how long I'd be able to hold it in my teeth before dropping it aaaaaaaaaa

Seven of Cups

From May 2024: This card was started back in February of last year when I was diagnosed with ADHD, and it became a way to express it. Here we see a clown girl, kind of Alice in Wonderland inspired, trying to pour some tea while balancing seven other teacups on her neck cuff. The neck cuff is made of mirrors, like a fun house, but also like overstimulation, multiplying the girl's surroundings by possible infinities. It can also suggest introspection. Be realistic with yourself and everything you can carry before taking on even more.

The Seven of Cups is traditionally about choices and indecision. Many options are good , but the querent lacks focus. I was frustrated in my own life about how many projects I start without finishing, which is a symptom of ADHD. Balancing all of them at once was difficult and led to confusion, irritation, and dropping the ball on many of them. I needed to be realistic with myself and really interrogate what kind of art I want to be making and give myself some sense of order.

I experimented a lot with this piece, trying to find my own sense of style. There's ink painting, colored pencils, and metallic markers all mixed up in here. It felt a little chaotic to make, but that's very fitting for this card. It's also very fitting that it got shoved aside for more than a year due to all the other teacups I'm balancing in my life.

When you use this card, I hope it brings to light how much you're carrying and how sometimes you need to take a step back and focus on one or two things at most. Sometimes we can become overwhelmed and take on too much, especially if we've been capable of it in the past. However, even just having an off day can cause everything to tumble, especially if you are in the middle of a balancing act already.
