#Spanish I need a little more

lol I remember that time as a teenager when i think I got this book for free from a garage sale (the same one i got the hobbit and 1984 for free) or from a library sale which was in Spanish

And I read the whole thing only knowing a very basic amount of Spanish

I only very vaguely got the gist of it lol

i've noticed i generally like putting these guys in their lower ranges, and while that's fine for the most part w/ adjustments, oliver usually ends up suffering b/c he is not built to go that low 😭😭

also related to oliver: he is not built for really fast songs 😭 i mean i suppose you can force him to sing one but even w/ adjustments he's not gonna sound all that great, definitely more suited for slower-paced songs

all the jpnloids can easily exchange a bunch of .vpr/.vsqx & whatever files w/ each other b/c duh native japanese support. rip oliver and moke in non-native jpn jail since if i want them to sing one of those i have to do SO MUCH manual phoneme correction... explodes

There was a little cleaning lady walking by and I said “good morning” but she didn’t speak English and asked if I was looking for the bathroom in Spanish and I stuttered out in broken Spanish that I was just trying to ask her how her day was and she threw up her hands and said how sweet I was in Spanish and came over and hugged and kissed me.

I'm not sure if maybe I'm just unlucky here, or maybe there's like.... something wrong with a larger system?

But why have I taken 5 Spanish classes and only managed to learn anything in one of them? And why is the college class the one I've learned the least in?

Hostile: Those who have hostile relations with Copperhead are lucky if they get a warning hiss let alone a verbal greeting. His body language screams imminent attack, hood flared and claws unsheathed for any potential fights. If he deigns to speak at all, Copperhead will be painfully blunt, asking what the person wants. Regardless of threat level, his gaze will be locked on them, making it obvious that whatever reason they have speaking to him had best be said, and quickly.

Neutral: Neutral relations will usually be quietly addressed by their name or title (if known, otherwise hello will suffice). Copperhead will be polite but aloof, speaking little and only replying when necessary. He'll usually speak this way to newcomers, be they people he's heard of or complete strangers, leaving little to be gleaned by more observant onlookers.

Friendly: Relaxed when it comes to friendly relations. Copperhead will immediately become more talkative, watching the person with none of the intensity as he would with somebody hostile. He's engaged, interested in what they have to say, welcoming them to a cup of tea if at his residence even. There's a hint of a smile in his face, the snake-man leaning closer depending on the comfort levels of both people. He'll speak openly at this level, allowing tone to slip into his speech to sound more personable and even affectionate depending on closeness.

Romanced: Romanced partners are regarded with the same soft politeness as he'd address strangers but with much more reverence. Copperhead will commonly refer to his romance interest/s with terms of affection, calling them his love (or mi amor in Spanish, which becomes more frequent the longer the relationship goes on). Lovers are greeted with a gentle nuzzle and a kiss, clearly having missed the comfort of their touch, their warmth.

spanish isn't my native language and im trying really hard to follow along without a translator right now, but after watching mariana's videos with captions for as long as i have and just winging my way through most of his streams i understand a surprising amount of what's going on ^_^
