#Doodles#UT#Papyrus#Sans#Cutest little lads#I had a good handful of stick figures of them from my 2015/2016 notebook and it really is a cute style#Y'know funny enough now that I think of it lol - Those doodles were also in December!#(I'm tagging these in December still lol hi from the past)#It's that Undertale time of year <3 Apparently I first found it Dec. 17th 2015 hehe#A little late to the party! But not terribly so ♪ And I had managed to avoid spoilers up to that point lol#I do still have some vague memories of watching it for the first time#I watched a Pacifist run first and cried - of course#And then watched a Genocide run soon after and cried even more#I remember being very confused as to what the Fight timing option even was the first time I saw it lol#Since in Pacifist you can go the entire time without even accidentally using it! You can ACT or ITEM instead#It's interesting to think back on such a huge shift in culture on the broadscale#And also a personal milestone :) Something that tipped the scales!#Something that even now I'm grateful for and think of fondly ♥#And it's all still fun to draw! What more could I ask for haha#I think with this super-simple style in particular I like making their designs complement each other#So Papyrus is all stick lines and Sans has thicker bones#Papyrus' eyes are upright and Sans' are laid flat haha#They both have circle heads to start tho! Hello :D
Goofy Magpie here to ask about your art process! Do you have any tips on how you do your sketching and/or rendering process? I hope this isn’t bothering you or anything but I really like your art and want to know how to do stuff like it ya know cause it’s cool and amazing
Also what art program do you use?
Well, hello! It is pretty hard to answer, just because I sometimes change the way that I do things, but I'll try my best to explain!
Everything is under the cut!!
Firstly, I use PaintToolSai2 :D
I try not to think a lot about line art. Most of the time, I do a very rough sketch from the basic forms and start making the character over it, like this
I have no idea how this circle just became this line art without any sketches; it just happens
Sometimes it helps to do an overly-detailed sketch, like the skull with eyeballs, to make a good form of eyes
I highly recommend not overthink sketches and line art. If you think that something is wrong, leave your art for some time (20 mins is enough for me) and then look at it again (or send it to your friend and ask what is off)
I like to add a pack of short lines on the clothes beside the foldings, it can fill in the empty space
It is really helpful to mirror you work at some point. Please, if you see a mistake when you flip canvas, correct it, even if you will have to change everything in your art. I was scared of it at first, but then it started to come in handy
For the clothes PLEASE USE REFERENCES, they are very helpful
I always try to make lines not straight, but curvy. This can add some flow to clothes or show that human bodies are not flat figures
Then I do basic colours (With the background to pick colours correctly!!!!)
My colour palette mostly is not in the same range of colours (Like yellow - orange - red), which might become a problem if you don't know colour theory (I definitely do not know it).
And then I do shading with the same colour as base one on multiply layer and lighting with colours lighter than base on screen or shine layer (And I do not like that part, because most of the time I'm messing things up, but if it looks okay, it's fine)
I also sometimes colour the line art. Most of the time I choose colour more saturated and darker than the base ones, but there are still cases where contrasting lines are better!!!!
I do not like render at all, but of course I really recommend you to do it only because rendering does this:
Render is really only picking colours, mixing them and then doing line with darkest one, it is not my strong side (There is a channel on Youtube called Bluebiscuits, there are a lot of helpful advises for this ^ type of art)
Also I think that for rendering is useful to look at other artists works! They can have some techniques that can make your work prettier (I personally had no idea about textures on the art works before one artist and now it helps me do these finishing touches sometimes that are necessary)
I think that this post is not that mush useful, just because I use the same techniques as the rest of the people, these advises are pretty common, but they saved me lots of nerves when I started this drawing-every-day thing
I do not do something very unique or extraordinary with my arts and style :P Just have fun and do whatever you want and remember: If it looks cool, it works
Have a great day!!
#ask#THIS IS A REALLY LONG POST#I hope that this is what the asker was asking about 'cause I might have misunderstood the question#That was hard eheheh#I tried to remember all things that I wish I knew sooner so that everybody who is having same struggles can use it#Though the most questions I had were about colouring process#This post is basically simple tips and style traits#I haven't ever written an essay this long lmao

Your animations are so awesome and smooth, what steps did you take to get to the skill level ur at now? If that makes sense ^^
Aw!! Well thank you. I wish I had more time & focus to... well, actually finish them! They'd look a lot better fully animated, lol.
As for steps... I guess I just immersed myself in a lot of animation from a very young age at first? I used to spend a lot of time on Newgrounds, I watched a lot of youtuber animations... Filmcow & Egoraptor were big inspos for me as a kid. Eddsworld and Happy Tree Friends too. I think digesting material that inspires you is essential.
Studying life and how things move, function, look, and work are also important. I really like to make emotions and actions feel as real as they can while still giving that extra flare that animation allows for. I've always been a listener more than a talker in real life, and as such I think it gives me more time to focus on how people look and act while they're busy communicating, or doing whatever else.
I also think letting yourself experiment with your own techniques is very important. Taking inspiration from favored animations is one thing, that is how you can learn, but also trying out & constructing your own methods is also important for workflow. Also, sometimes a chosen method you use just becomes uniquely yours, and becomes better with time the more you work at it. I feel like I have a pretty specific way of animating body language & movement. I'd call it theatrical to an extent. It's something I always wished I could see more of in animation so I've spent a lot of time trying to get it right.
I also started from a very young age, like 8 or 9? Maybe older or younger, I can't quite remember. But most importantly it just takes time to teach yourself. Research always, and know that time will pass no matter what, so you might as well start learning now if you want to make something great one day! I'm still working towards that myself.
#another tip. do not overwork yourself. ever.#15 minutes of animation practice a day is gonna teach you about the same amount as a couple of hours#just given how brains take information and learn skills#and doing it for too long WILL fuck your hand up if you're not careful#one of the first things you should teach yourself is how to be efficient#how to draw what you want as quickly and as basic as possible at first#so that you can get used to the fast paced style of drawing keyframes#because you will be drawing the same poses and similar frames very often#ik some people take hours to draw one pose sometimes#you gotta get your style to a level so that you can produce it quickly#its why my style and design is soooo... simple.#bc ive always drawn w/ animation in mind#not to say animation cant be complex ofc#but if youre animating as a hobby you will have to cut corners somewhere#hence eddsworld looking simple. filmcow focusing on detail but uses tweening#etc. etc.

Can't afford art school?
After seeing post like this 👇
And this gem 👇
As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.
Here is the first one ART TEACHERS! There are plenty online and in places like youtube.
📺Here is my list:
Proko (Free, mostly teaches anatomy and how to draw people. But does have art talks and teaches the basics.)
Marc Brunet (Free but he does have other classes for a cheap price. Use to work for Blizzard and teaches you everything)
Aaron Rutten (free, tips about art, talks about art programs and the best products for digital art)
BoroCG (free, teaches a verity of art mediums from 3D modeling to digital painting. As well as some tips that can be used across styles)
Jesse J. Jones (free, talks about animating)
Jesus Conde (free, teaches digital painting and has classes in Spanish)
Mohammed Agbadi (free, he gives some advice in some videos and talks about art)
Ross Draws (free, he does have other classes for a good price. Mostly teaching character designs and simple backgrounds.)
SamDoesArts (free, gives good advice and critiques)
Drawfee Show (free, they do give some good advice and great inspiration)
The Art of Aaron Blaise ( useful tips for digital art and animation. Was an animator for Disney. Mostly nature art)
Bobby Chiu ( useful tips and interviews with artist who are in the industry or making a living as artist)
Sinix Design (has some tips on drawing people)
Winged canvas (art school for free on a verity of mediums)
Bob Ross (just a good time, learn how to paint, as well as how too relax when doing art. "there are no mistakes only happy accidents", this channel also provides tips from another artist)
Scott Christian Sava (Inspiration and provides tips and advice)
Pikat (art advice and critiques)
Drawbox (a suggested cheap online art school, made of a community of artist)
Skillshare (A cheap learning site that has art classes ranging from traditional to digital. As well as Animation and tutorials on art programs. All under one price, in the USA it's around $34 a month)
Human anatomy for artist (not a video or teacher but the site is full of awesome refs to practice and get better at anatomy)
Second part BOOKS, I have collected some books that have helped me and might help others.
📚Here is my list:
The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.
"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.
"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.
"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.
"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.
"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.
"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.
"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.
"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.
Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.
📝As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. If you want to go fancy Michaels is always a good place for traditional supplies. They also get in some good sales and discounts. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are usually more expensive.
For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.
💻As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.
Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates. Galaxy, Windows, macOS, iPad, iPhone, Android, or Chromebook device. )
Procreate ( pay once for $9.99 usd, IPAD & IPHONE ONLY)
Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, animation and more. Free)
PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)
Krita (Free)
mypaint (free)
FireAlpaca (free)
Aseprite ($19.99 usd but has a free trail, for pixel art Windows & macOS)
Drawpile (free and for if you want to draw with others)
IbisPaint (free, phone app ONLY)
Medibang (free, IPAD, Android and PC)
NOTE: Some of these can work on almost any computer like Clip and Sai but others will require a bit stronger computer like Blender. Please check their sites for if your computer is compatible.
So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.
I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.
Hope this was helpful and have a great day.
"also apologies for any spelling or grammar errors, I have Dyslexia and it makes my brain go XP when it comes to speech or writing"

Embracing the Bohemian Spirit in Your Home
The main goal of bohemian interior design, or "Boho" as it is affectionately known, is to create a room that expresses your individuality and taste. This fashion statement honors uniqueness, inventiveness, and a carefree, easygoing way of living. I explore the core of bohemian design in my book Simple Interior Design (A Bohemian Interior Design Book), which is currently available on Amazon. I also provide helpful, inspirational advice on how to turn your house into a bohemian haven.
The Roots of Bohemian Style Bohemian style has a rich history, originating from the free-spirited lifestyle of artists and creatives in 19th-century Europe. It’s characterized by a mix of vibrant colors, eclectic patterns, and a blend of old and new elements. The beauty of Boho is that there are no strict rules. Instead, it’s about what feels right for you and your space.
Creating a Bohemian Sanctuary One of the key aspects of Boho decor is personal expression. My book emphasizes that your home should be a reflection of who you are. To start, focus on incorporating elements that bring you joy. This could be anything from a vintage rug that tells a story, to a collection of your favorite books, or a piece of art that resonates with you.
Incorporating natural elements is also crucial. Plants, wooden furniture, and natural fibers like jute and cotton not only enhance the Boho aesthetic but also bring a sense of tranquility and connection to nature.
The Role of Art in Bohemian Interiors Art plays a significant role in Boho interiors. Whether it’s a handcrafted piece, a family heirloom, or a DIY project, art adds character and a personal touch to your space. My book provides tips on selecting and displaying art in a way that enhances the overall Boho vibe.
Bringing It All Together Achieving a harmonious Boho look involves balancing different elements. Mixing patterns, layering textiles, and playing with textures can create a visually rich and inviting space. Remember, the goal is to create a home that feels warm, welcoming, and uniquely yours.
To learn more about creating your own Bohemian haven, read more on Kindle Unlimited or get your copy of Simple Interior Design: A Boho Interior Design Book on Amazon and please leave a review! Follow me on Instagram. 🙂

I think people are over estimating how much vocab you need for poetry btw.
Here is a poem
毎日、起きる
毎晩、寝る
おなじおなじおなじ
(Every Day, I wake up/Every Night, I sleep/thesamethesamethesame)
You can make a poem with really basic words and phrases. You don’t need full sentences, you don’t need an extensive vocabulary, you don’t need to understand complex grammar concepts.
You can definitely write poetry in your target language, and this post is now a challenge.
WRITE SOME SHITTY POETRY RIGHT NOW.
IT CAN TAKE LESS THAN A MINUTE.
(I even used my limited knowledge on Japanese writing to make an artistic choice! I put “同じ” in kana instead of kanji to give it a running-together effect.)
I loooove writing terrible poetry in my target languages. This is borderline incomprehensible and grammatically fucked? No, no, you misunderstand, it’s a
✨stylistic choice✨
#reblogging because some people are deliberating about maybe doing it#or doing it when they improve#ITS OKAY ITS TERRIBLE POETRY WRITE WHATEVER YOU WANT#I really like poetry because it’s useful when I know vocab but not necessarily much grammar (for a simple style)#or I can use it to practice some artsy subjunctive shit#I’ve changed my mind everyone write shitty poetry right now please thank you#Quinn posts#100#my language tips

Light breaks the news to Misa that he's leaving forever. Eh, Rem's cautiously happy.
Previous
Influences below.
Script/behavior references inspired by/stolen from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends:
Light's stream of shut ups are from "Dinner is Swerved." I can't find a direct link to that specific clip. It's when Mac and Bloo steal Duchess's bedsheets and mattress so they can safely escape out a window, and Bloo just quickly repeats shut up to her over and over to prevent any argument. I have Light use that same strategy to keep Misa from objecting.
Misa's disbelief is inspired by Bloo's at the end of this clip from "Everyone Knows it’s Bendy": link
#a graceful breakup#drawn by me#my fanart#my fancomic#Death Note#Light Yagami#Misa Amane#L#implied lawlight#Rem#Ryuk#shinigami#crack#unoriginal script#Sorry Misa. You're not joining those dumb boys this time. Maybe next time. :(#went simple with Ryuk because I really like drawing him in a simple silly style~#struggled with Rem's hands a little#Light knows that Misa has the Eyes so L's gotta wear a bag over his head#she may ask Rem to kill L for her because of this but she may not do it because Light staying away is more likely if he's alive#probably lol I don't know#this isn't the least bit serious#future additions will probably be a bit more original. I just needed to get these ones out of my system REALLY BAD#also we’ve all agreed that Misa writing in the death note with a fuzzy tipped pen is basically canon now right?
