Anomalocaris, the "unusual shrimp" of the Cambrian period. Although this bug-eyed cutie seems harmless at first, it is thought to have been the apex predator of it's time. Their face appendages were probably used to grasp prey.

I know I did a bad job with the eyes and somehow in every pose he looks different TvT. But I managed to make the colors on a single layer, while usually for these drawings I use 4-6!

Here’s the thing…….. shrimps is bugs

Dinner is three different affairs with each eating his/her own meal. Sis had Sweet & Sour Pork Rice (咕噜肉) with an added fried egg. Mum went with the Singapore Fried Noodles (星洲米粉) with shrimps, char siu, bean sprouts, egg and vegetable. Both packed meals came from the Tze Char (煮炒) stall.

I went to the Economy Rice (菜饭) stall to choose my own dishes. Picked a portion of okra & dried chilli stir-fry, crispy ikan bilis (dried anchovies) & crunchy peanuts with something that resembled a much redder version of the sweet & sour pork which I found enjoyable.

What would you say your favorite marine crustacean is? + some info on them if you feel like it

Giant Isopods are probably my favorite (see my recent post here),

A close second is literally any kind of shrimp.

Crystal Red Shrimp (Caridina cf. cantonensis) and the Peacock Mantis Shrimp (Odontodactylus scyllarus).

There are approximately 3,000 species of shrimp. They can be found in any ocean and there are even some freshwater species!
