My opinion on proshipping is that it’s gonna happen no matter what anyone says or does about it… yes it’s icky and no I don’t wanna see it, but giving them attention, even negative attention, is bad for everyone involved.
Believe me, I’ve been in enough fandom spaces to know that proshippers are everywhere. And honestly? That’s okay! Blocking and moving on is the best way to go about with fandomposting, which the kg fandom does very well :3c
Speaking of which, even through the bad content (ao3 is kinda crazy on the kg tag iwl), the kg fandom is by FAR the healthiest fandom I’ve ever been in, and it’s not even a competition.
Sorry I kinda rambled my takeaway is basically block and move on and then everyone’s happy! Sure we wish we could unsee things, but what’s past is past, and all we can do is prepare for the future. ^_^
