Guilty Gear Strive Anime Adaptation Called 'Dual Rulers' Announced

Developer Arc System Works has revealed Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, an anime adaptation based on its hit 2021 fighting game. Though there’s no release date or window in sight, Arc System Works says Sanzigen Studios is producing the anime. Notably, Sanzigen Studios is the same studio behind protagonist Sol Badguy’s “Find Your Way” music video in Guilty Gear Strive. 

As for what to expect from a plot perspective, Arc System Works has revealed little, though it says Dual Rulers will be at this year’s Anime Expo 2024 in July. 

“Shigeru Morikawa (famous for Argonavis the Movie: Axia) will direct,” the Dual Rulers announcement reads. “Others attached to the project include Guilty Gear writer Norimitsu Kaihō for series composition and Seiji Mizushima (famous for Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Fullmetal Alchemist) as associate producer.”

A new key visual and PV for this Summer’s TV anime "To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts" has been revealed. It’ll have its broadcast debut July 1st.

-Synopsis-

“During the Civil War, the North—desperate to defeat the South—utilized forbidden magic that turned their soldiers into monstrous beings known as Incarnates. In exchange for their humanity they were granted immense power to defeat their foes. But though their lands were saved, some grew to fear the Incarnates in the aftermath of the war, causing them to be shunned, and some even killed. Years later in a town in the middle of nowhere, Nancy Schaal Bancroft has found her target—the man responsible for killing her Incarnate father. Armed with an elephant gun, she takes aim and fires, but he remains unharmed. Despite revealing her vengeful intentions to him, the man has other pressing matters to attend to: the murder of another Incarnate. During the clash, Schaal discovers that her father’s killer is actually an Incarnate himself, and his murderous streak is due to a promise he made long ago: that any Incarnate who loses their humanity will be taken down by one of their own. After the beast is dead, the Incarnate known as Hank invites Schaal to accompany him on his journey, so that she can understand the truth behind her father’s death and why these monstrous beings are better off dying at the hands of their former comrades.”

TV Anime "Märchen Mädchen" ra mắt hình ảnh chính, tiết lộ dàn diễn viên.

Cách đây ít hôm, thông tin về việc TV Anime “Märchen Mädchen” sẽ được công chiếu vào năm 2018 đã được xác nhận. Và hôm nay, dàn nhân sự của bộ phim và Kantoku – nghệ sĩ thiết kế nhân vật cho Light Novel Märchen Mädchen (Fairy Tale Girls) đã mở trang web chính thức của bộ phim, và đồng thời tiết lộ hình ảnh chính của phim cũng như các diễn viên tham dự.

Các diễn viên tham gia bao gồm (mới chỉ tiết lộ 3 vai chính):

  Tomori Kusunoki trong vai Hazuki Kagimura, một cô gái thích đọc sách và mơ mộng. Cô không có bạn bè và thật sự cô đơn. Cô được chọn bởi câu chuyện Cinderella.

Rie Suegara trong vai Shizuka Tsuchimikado (Takami Karibuchi trong Brave Witches), người được lựa chọn bởi câu chuyện Kaguya-hime no Monogatari, một trong những câu chuyện cổ nhất thế giới, với tư cách là người thuộc gia tộc Tsuchimikado. Cô là người rất chăm chỉ và nghiêm túc.

Câu chuyện xoay quanh Hazuki Kagimura, một cô gái bình thường, hay ở một mình. Do mối quan hệ với gia đình mới không được tốt đẹp nên cô đã chọn sách và những câu chuyện làm bạn. Vào một ngày, sau giờ học, cô lại tới thư viện và bất ngờ bị hút vào 1 thế giới khác, tới 1 trường học ma thuật, ở đó cô đã gặp Shizuka Tsuchimikado. Cô phát hiện ra rằng những cô gái (được gọi là “mädchen”) đang theo học được lựa chọn bởi các câu chuyện cổ tích và câu chuyện dân gian để sử dụng ma thuật của họ, và được dạy cách sử dụng nó trong trường học, tất cả để cạnh tranh tại Hexen Nacht hàng năm (Witch’s Night), nơi mà các cô gái đại diện cho trường học của họ trong trận đấu ma thuật. Người chiến thắng sẽ nhận được 1 điều ước. Ngôi trường Hazuki theo học đã có những cô gái được chọn bởi các câu chuyện: Kaguya-hime no Monogatari, Issun-bōshi, Der Freischütz, Shuten-dōji, The Little Matchstick Girl, The Gigantic Turnip, truyền thuyết Arthur, The Ramayana và bản thân Hazuki được lựa chọn bởi câu chuyện Cinderella. Hazuki bắt đầu 1 cuộc sống mới, tại ngôi trường mới, với một người bạn mới.
