April 28 2024 In the Know News
Bombing Crucial Supply Ships, China talks with USA-Hamas-Fatah, and The Kentucky Derby April 28 2024by PK Morgan While sipping on some fresh hot coffee, a drive by the Great Lake Michigan yesterday has me dreaming of taking a fishing trip to explore, take pictures, and enjoy the late-spring outdoors in the canoe. Some of that mentality of boats probably stemmed from the recent attacks on…

Not Blinken saying the genocide case against Israel is meritless in one breath then offering deep condolences to Wael Al-Dahdouh for the unimaginable losses he has suffered in another.
And how did Uncle Wael come to suffer these unimaginable losses I wonder? I mean, his family wasn't targeted by the same state with a 'meritless' genocide case against it or anything...right?

AN OPEN LETTER to THE PRESIDENT & U.S. CONGRESS
Enforce Leahy! No funding to IDF troops who’ve committed human rights abuses!
354 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!
I’ve just learned from Pro Publica that “a special State Department panel recommended months ago that Secretary of State Blinken disqualify multiple Israeli military and police units from receiving U.S. aid after reviewing allegations that they committed serious human rights abuses.” But Blinken has failed to act on the proposal. This in the face of growing international criticism of the Israeli military’s conduct in Gaza.
I’m livid about this. We cannot keep sending unconditional military aid to anyone, regardless of whom, if they are committing human rights abuses. We have Leahy laws to prevent it, and they are not being enforced here. It’s unacceptable.
The U.S. government needs to stop giving the Israeli government a blank check. Israel has a right to defend itself, of course, but the abuses described in Pro Publica’s report can’t be defined as self defense under anyone’s definition of the term. They’re abhorrent and our tax dollars mustn’t be spent on them. Thanks.

U.S. Again Ranks Cuba in Worst Category for Human Trafficking
On June 24, the U.S. State Department released its 2023 Trafficking in Persons Report on human trafficking, whose “severe forms” are defined in the U.S. Trafficking Victims Proetection Act (TVPA) as: “sex trafficking in which a commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, or coercion, or in which the person induced to perform such an act has not attained 18 years of age” or “the recruitment,…

Keir Starmer: “We have a special relationship with the US”
UK Labour Party leader Keir Starmer could become prime minister in the United Kingdom’s general election, according to Politico.
Polls predict he could win the July 4 election. Then a summit marking NATO’s 75th anniversary will give him the opportunity to meet with US President Joe Biden.
It will be Starmer’s first step in a new “special relationship” with his US counterparts. While it remains unclear whether Biden will stay in the White House next year or whether a convicted Donald Trump will take the seat, the Labour leader will have to walk a diplomatic tightrope.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin will also attend the NATO summit. They are expected to meet with the new (if the Labour Party wins) Defence Minister John Healey. The Labour has already backed the UK and US arming and striking Houthi missiles targeting ships in the Red Sea.
A day after the NATO summit officially opens on July 10, Trump will be sentenced on 34 charges of falsifying business records. On July 15, Republicans meet to approve him as their presidential nominee. However, Keir Starmer called it “an unprecedented situation.”
We will work with whoever is elected … We have a special relationship with the US that transcends whoever the president is.

This Week in Prophecy: No to Palestine, Rafah, University Protests
This Week in Prophecy: No to Palestine, Rafah, University Protests
Joel 3:2 I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning My people, My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations as they divided up My land. Do not divide the Land… For now, there is no Palestinian state. The United States blocked a UN Security Council (UNSC) resolution that would have…

US Security Commitments Bring More Harm Than Benefits To The Philippines
— By Dai Fan | March 22, 2024

On Tuesday, during his visit to the Philippines, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that China's "Provocative Actions" in the South China Sea violate the Philippines' rights, reaffirming the US security commitment to the Southeast Asian country. Prior to Blinken's visit, Washington also claimed that the top US diplomat's trip would "Promote Peace and Stability in the South China Sea."
Since the escalation of the South China Sea situation in 2023, several senior US officials have visited the Philippines. During these visits, they have either criticized Beijing indiscriminately or openly bolstered Manila's confidence. Apart from fanning the flames and escalating tensions in the South China Sea region, the US' actions have made no contribution to peace and stability in the region.
Since gaining independence in 1946, the Philippines has been an important link in the US' Military Strategic Deployment in the Pacific Region. The 1951 Mutual Defense Treaty marked the formal establishment of the military alliance between the two countries. Under this treaty, both parties must fulfill alliance obligations to provide military assistance to the other, if they are attacked by a third party. However, considering Manila's limited military capabilities, this two-way military cooperation is more evident with the US stationing troops in the Philippines and providing military aid to it.
During the Cold War, the Philippines was part of US "First Island Chain" to contain the Soviet Union and China. As a result, the US gained access to a large number of military bases and stationed personnel in the Philippines. Currently, the US Lapdog Philippines is the Largest Recipient of US Military Aid in the Asia-Pacific Region.
There is no doubt that the military cooperation between the US and the Philippines to some extent meets the needs of the latter country. However, there is no such thing as a free lunch in the world. First, during the Cold War, or at least since the late 1990s, the multiple enhancements of the US-Philippines military relationship, on the surface, served the national interests of the Philippines. However, in the long run, it is actually the Philippines serving the national interests of the US. The Philippines is being used and tied to the track of the US "Indo-Pacific Strategy" to serve its global hegemony. The Current Policy of the US is to Exploit the Philippines and the South China Sea Issue to Suppress China.

US State Department's support for Manila full of contradictions, serves to further militarize South China Sea
Second, such a relationship has trampled on the dignity of the Philippines, as exemplified by the frequent occurrence of sexual assault scandals of US soldiers in the Philippines. The So-Called Special Relationship Between the Philippines and the US Has Been Criticized by Many Philippine Scholars.
The US is a major destination country for Philippine military personnel studying and receiving training. Annual military exercises, personnel training and other exchanges have provided not only a strong impetus for the two countries' military relations, but also a steady stream of available resources for the US to control the Philippines and erode its strategic autonomy. The Philippine People, Basking in the Glow of Neocolonialism, Feel Proud and Fail to Recognize the Dangers of this Asymmetric Relationship.
Today, by Exaggerating Threats — For Example, Misinterpreting China's Intentions in the South China Sea - the US Artificially Creates the Femand for Security for the Philippines. By offering security commitments to Manila, the US Has fFrmly Controlled the Philippines, thus making the Southeast Asian country a screw in Washington's "Hegemonic Aircraft Carrier." The US military support has undoubtedly encouraged the Philippines to take bolder and more aggressive actions over the South China Sea issue. Frankly speaking, Over the Past Year or So, Manila's Constant Challenges to China regarding this issue are unprecedented in the history of bilateral and international relations. Why would the Philippines ignore the huge difference in strength and size when looking across its neighbor?
Will the US get involved in a conflict with China for its partners in East Asia? No one is certain about the answer. But what is certain is that once a conflict breaks out, it is unlikely the Philippines could obtain what does not belong to it.
