Imagine if the JL ever need to get passage into Hell, whether it’s to get something or pass through to get somewhere else. They call in Constantine and he’s got a bunch of backwater ways and tunnels and all around illegal ways to access Hell.

Billy just laughs and tells them that he knows a perfectly legal, easy way to get in that won’t leave them in debt. Everyone’s not sure, but they tell him to give it a go.

So Billy takes out his phone and goes to a certain number.

And Constantine hears the voice on the other side and nearly faints because WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK THAT IS SATANUS.

The JL ask if he’s okay and he vehemently says no and explains how he just heard one of the lords of hell himself on the other line. Everyone is confused at this point because it sounds like he’s talking to an old friend.

That’s when Clark uses his hearing and by Rao he’s right! There’s a deep voice on the other end that he recognizes. Lord Satanus himself is talking to Billy about setting up another luncheon for next month with him, Mary, and Freddy. And Billy at his end looks totally unnerved by this.

Once the call ends, Billy says they’re ready to go and to wait ten minutes.

Literally everyone has questions. Billy just rolls his eyes and says “oh nothing, it’s just my uncle.”

See, now everyone has even MORE questions.

You know, for all the talk about the importance and coolness of adoption and found families, y’all sure love to sleep on the Shazam Family and relatives they got. I mean for real.

You got the Wizard Shazam/Mamaragan (let’s get some diversity in this bitch)

You got a very unique approach and connections with many characters to mess around, headcanon, play with, etc.

But like 98% of the time, people just wanna make Billy significant to Superman or Batman (because putting him with more black hair, blue eye kids that get treated interchangeably is smart) and Mary to the “Wonder Family” like they don’t got a family of their own.

For Shazam we've got Vlarem, Oggar, Tanus and Blaze, Desira Sivana and her lieutenant Doctor Dynamo, plus Misters Atom and Mind, and a couple takes on Sobek since I'm still taking myself out of drawing him like Vector the Crocodile as a counterpart to Tawny.

Vlarem was the Wizard's champion identity (anagram of "Marvel" natch) and Oggar was a god ousted from Shazam (then "SHAZAMO")'s line-up, while his name is also a clear corruption of the word "Ogre". I can kinda see Oggar as a companion of Baal and Vlarem's rival. Vlarem himself is still the Canaanite Jebediah, but Mamaragan fills the role of the Wizard, so what happened to Vlarem between his war with Oggar and Mamaragan's empowering of Hurut , Aman and Teth.

Blaze and Tanus/Satanus are the children of Baal, returned to Earth in the modern day in pursuit of Baal's contemporary incarnation, Billy. Tanus uses a civilian identity as "Colin Thornton" owner and publisher of Newstime, while Blaze lived as Angelica "Babe" Tanaka, frontwoman for The Children of The Night. They both ended up during afoul of Superman after leaving Fawcett for Metropolis.

Desira Sivana is Thaddeus's wife, composited from Queen Desira (Golden Age Queen of Venus), Venus Sivana, and possibly Aphrodite? Mister Mind is Venusian as well, so it all kinda ties together. Beautia Sivana is an outright demi-god and the leader among the Sivana siblings, growing even more powerful with the transformative powers of the Black Sivana Equation...

The Ophidiad's a concept I've been cooking for a bit. It's a hypothetical Action Comics arc focused on Jimmy Olsen and Lex Luthor:

"After altering his DNA into a hypothetical copy of his father’s mythical “Thorulian” ultra-humanite, Lex finds himself further transformed into a host of Ophidian, the Orange Light Entity of Greed. How a shapeshifting snake man capable of summoning an army at a thought, Jimmy Olsen takes up his old Turtle-Man mantle to fight back. But as residual Doomsday virus effects alter Jimmy for the worse, all of Metropolis find themselves in a Kaiju fight between the distant cousins…and Superman nowhere to be found!"

Hector Hammond, Lionel Luthor, Pete Ross, Lana Lang, Steel, Devour, Hiro Okamura are part of the cast, but Captain Comet, Sand Superman, and Hope (from Superman: Lost) are potentially involved as well.

Everyone else is worried out of their minds but Billy is so excited he’s practically VIBRATING. He is ready to go on demon adventures with his cool older half kind of but kind of not brother!

Meanwhile his teammates are pulling him aside and asking if he’s under any kind of spell or if he’s being blackmailed or forced. They’re obviously just jealous that they don’t have a demon bro🙄

Idea

Satanus is overthrown (Blaze or Neron, don’t matter) and getting dumped on earth in human form, which is just a fairly tan/sun kissed man with wavy black hair in braids for an idea of what he ends up looking like, and what’s a former ruler of hell to do to reclaim his throne and powers but to go to his kinda brother for help!

Cue the JL being baffled at Lord Satanus in human guise demanding to see some brother (bc he knows what company Billy keeps) and they’re just trying to figure out if helping him would be a net good or bad bc on one hand, he’s not as active or malicious an antagonistic force as his sister or Neron, but on the other hand it’s helping to give a demon his powers back to rule literal Hell. When they ask who exactly his brother is he says, “Captain Marvel, the Batson boy, the Big Red Cheese of Fawcett or whatever it is you mortals call him outside his official titles!” And they just have to do some punnet squares in their heads because what?

Anyway, Cap and Satanus talk, JLD is brought in, they agree that “Yeah, better the devil you know then the devil you don’t, plus this one would owe us a favor” and decide to help Satanus before Neron/Blaze can do any damage in their new position
