Just watched the second half of Battle for Cybertron and I have thought... again

Spoilery thoughts under the cut

DRIFT???? Wow this was definitely a surprise

How can this rando suddenly go traitor and be important

Also Hot Rod got Marcy'd, would be sad about his supposed death as if the next episode's thumbnail didn't spoil that he is okay though with a black coat of paint

Am I the only one who felt the lack of a soundtrack on a good chunk of these episodes?

Shocked that Strascream didn't return, thought he was gonna show up in the middle of the battle and be like "HEY BITCHES" and become the main threat; although that means he's still out there planning an even greater comeback than expected...

But not Windblade's battle with Bludgeon! She's such a queen.

And idk if it's me that was dumb and watched the whole thing in two halves even though it's supposed to be watched in it's entirety but am I the only one who felt some of the events of the second half were paced weird and felt a little bit... anticlimactic? Idk they (at least on first watch on an unintended form) felt weirdly paced and honestly some didn't hit much (like Drift's traitor reveal)

Edit to last point: Rewatched the episode in it's extended & intended form (as a special) and yeah it was definitely that. The moments hit much harder!

Also forgot to mention... Teletraan X is here forever now YES

Unironically, Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave are the most hilarious trio imaginable. The Decepticon high command are three bitches who, depending on the continuity and day of the week, range from pleasantly tolerating each other to petty hissy fits to flat out hostility. Can't stand each other. Can't kill each other. When they work together they're a nightmare of a threat. Very rarely does this actually happen. Love that for them ❤️💙💜

Stuck at my mom's house until the 27th, can't finish the comic I was working on until then :( here's a rough Cowboy!pinup sketch of Bumblebee and some Breakbee + Piston angst:

#I'll delete this later i just want to talk about it :3 #not featured: WHY Piston is pulling a [REDACTED] on their sire #rubbing my hands together like a fly ooooooh do i have some angst in the works for you guys i just don't have a perspective tool rl #Okay i had the idea of a cute Bumblebee and Breakdown in cowboy hats with a bonus piston but then i had an Idea #yes that but then follow up later when its time to pick a side piston does a cowboy accent very sadly like they have to pretend its not real #the REASON is s3 bee and break fighting in the dome and bee lost on his back with Break towering above him with a [REDACTED] pointed at him #and Piston is beating on the glass WAILING for them to stop #but the view point is slightly behind breaks so he's HUGE and bee is small and Piston is even smaller in the foreground #they stop fighting but Piston can not forgive their sire for that Piston took after Breaks they were thick as thieves but no no #they saw the look in his eye the fear in bee and he only stopped bc shockwave called him off yes he was hesitating to pull and shaking #like a leaf knowing he was being used like a rabid dog to take down the autobot he has to pretend to hate but Piston will always wonder #if he'd do it and they can't decide and it eats them alive but that's their carrier and forgiveness is not cheap #bumblebee does what he can to talk Piston down its just business he didn't really mean it they ve had centuries of faking it but Piston #oh sweet Piston childish days are over their spark has been hardened #they arent on a path of violence or vengeance but when breaks seeks them out “come with me we can be a real family on cybertron ”#piston says “we already were”#and later later we land on the So i guess that's it....i guess so.... you best get on out of here then #AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH #does piston ever forgive? no but they understand things kinda get better but it's different now #i think they're scared that they'll end up like breaks bc they're so much like him they looked up to him and loved him so much #and now they know they have the capacity to do something like that and be used like that and they're scared #just so so so SO scared and it bothers them breaks was forced into it and they just want to SCREAM #they just want to run away with their parents away from the war where no one can bother them and live quietly #transformers #maccadam #transformers oc #tf piston #worry not i shall draw these once I'm home #but i have a laundry list of other things i want to draw first

So I've FINALLY been consumed by BlurrBee but wanted to ask you something... How do you feel about ShockBlurrBee (the TFA one I mean)?

oh em gee hello it's been a hot minute since I've gotten an ask on this blog loll

Obviously I love Blurrbee, though I'm also a big fan of shockbee too. Sooooo. My thoughts on shockblurrbee...... Complicated actually!

At first I was like "mmmm I am not rlly a shock/blurr guy but. I can tolerate it with Bee buffer actually" but then I kinda fell off again bc I got super turned off by shock/blurr to an extreme degree </3

Now uhhhh . I think I can tolerate it again with the Bee buffer but I'm not super passionate about it. I think the tricky part is I see shockbee and blurrbee to be Very different timeline situations for them to respectively occur. Like idk, I often think Blurrbee ends up forming in a timeline where Bee closes off from Shockwave to heal alongside Blurr. While Shockbee I see it as Bee and Shockwave reconciling and that's how that conflict between them is settled. (Both situations I personally struggle to see blurr & shocks working things out. I struggle to vibe with them in general bc I see them not even having a particularly strong/"good" relationship before cubing anyhow)

BUT HEY that's just how I usually view these pairings and it's not canon at all. One can easily imagine a situation where they all grow close together, and I'll probably nod along with it and 👍. I'm not ur boss man be creative to ur heart's desires<33

#these days i also try not to let my grievances with fandom be my reasoning for disliking smth #even though i have . so . so many greivances with shock/blurr fandom. particularly in my frustrations for how blurr is portrayed #BUT WHATEVER . my main reason i dont rlly believe in shock/blurr is their relationship based on almanac entries by blurr #is blurr being frustrated with longarm as his boss and seeing him as foolish for his choice to assign him to earth #so i dont exactly get swayed by Oh blurr and shockwave had a tragic doomed toxic yaoi romance 💔✨....#i think they were just a boss and an employee lol. an employee that was judgemental of his boss even lmao #But thats not to say ive never liked shock/blurr content. i like my friend Loe's story with them #and honestly ive seen shockblurrbee that ive found cute too #THOUGH. ANOTHER TAKE. i think shockblurrbee works best as V formation poly.#in which the bee is the one with the relationship with the other 2 and not all of them together #but i dont hate when its all them together either thats fine #you'll never see me policing ppl for pairings that arent actually inherently problematic man.#like go nuts as long as its not like romanticizing abuse or whatevs #🐝 could you repeat the last part? 🟦#I'll have to check what my ask tag was again i forgot it #blurb asks

Everyone stop complaining about ages and years and inconsistencies and do the (horrible, painful) math for a self-indulgent timeline of events that you then become obsessed with
