Also the latest colored ones is a new character smhhh, Her name’s Ms.Ruby, made basically by request by my lovely partner (love u u nerd 😔💥🥄🥄🥄🥄)

Ruby is part of Robbie’s lil network of family, and there isn’t much about her atm, but she is a very fashionable woman, who in the mob vers would dabble in the legal works of the mob as a lawyer (who totally follows the law completely and never tampers with evidence to bring a good case for her client-)

but yeah I found a meme while trying to find a ref for her jacket and I ran with it- (I will never get the fashion industry)

So I was scrolling through Twitter and Tanisha had posted this - this is a script extract from the Wedding episode from s2, we all know the one 😏

The famous one where we see Colin and Pen talking before she is dragged away by Eloise and we never knew what they spoke about and it has driven us all mad for the last 2 years.

Colin was “closely” admiring the ruby necklace that would become an important plot point in S2 in regards to Jack and Portia’s scam.

The many fanfic ideas that this extract will prompt 🥰

I don't know if I'm excited or frustrated at the 'future children' angle for Susan's origin. On one hand... I'm very interested in the possible links to the likes of Miranda, the Other etc.

On the other hand... ok confession time: This may make me a minority in the fandom, but I actually really dislike the 80s-90s retcons of Susan's origin. (Birth of a Renegade, Lungbarrow etc.)

I kinda just like her and the Doctor being some of the last surviving members of what was once a family on Gallifrey. I find the mystery and tragedy of what happened on Gallifrey, with implied student uprisings and political assassinations, far more intriguing than any twists saying "actually she's not really his granddaughter". Fortunately, some things can be canonwelded into that (eg. Susan really could be also related to the president / descended from Rassilon), but stuff that actually gives her an origin elsewhere is always a pain.

Idk. I just see once being a parent (and losing it all tragically) as such a crucial part of the Doctor's background and Susan fits very well into that as far as I'm concerned. Anything disconnecting her from that, or worse erasing it completely, ultimately damages what I find to be one of the most compelling things about the Doctor and Susan. :/

The few posts I've already seen talking about this suggests this is an unpopular opinion, but I'd be interested to know what people think, and if they agree or disagree...

intrigued by ruby saying she a) hasn't known the doctor that long and b) implying they're actually not that close. so what is it then? have you been travelling for more than six months but you're somehow not that close? or have you actually not been travelling long at all so you haven't had time to form a deeper connection? SO. what. is. it. then?

Ohhhh, Anon's perfect apple ask is now giving me blessed imagery of Dusknoir cutting apple slices into bunny shapes. Maybe for Opal, maybe for him to show off, either way.

Hey, psst, whovians…

As I already mentioned there’s some merit to the theory that Ruby is one of the pantheon BUT also a running theme in ruby’s story is birth parents being kinda shitty to their kids and finding family elsewhere whether that be through adopted parents or the friends you make along the way.

And one of the few thing we now about this mysterious Pantheon of gods is that the Toymaker has children like maestro and in their words is a bad parent to his children so the familial dynamics there are likely kind of shitty so the Toymaker abandoning one of his children isn’t out of the question

what if… hear me out… ruby sunday is the doctor’s sister. the mother that left her is the same one that left the doctor with the time lords. this would explain a lot and give us the chance to learn more about the doctor’s origins (it was said that one of the episodes of this season has “one of the most important shots in doctor who history” 👀). i think it would be REALLY COOL if ruby was the doctor’s sister or at least of the same species.
