Ruby is part of Robbie’s lil network of family, and there isn’t much about her atm, but she is a very fashionable woman, who in the mob vers would dabble in the legal works of the mob as a lawyer (who totally follows the law completely and never tampers with evidence to bring a good case for her client-)

Ruby was my hedgehog :) I got her in January 2016 when I was 12 and she was my best little buddy :) she got cancer in 2019 and had to be put down that September. I kept a few of her quills in a little vial charm on a necklace and wore it everyday for years, I just recently stopped wearing it everyday bc I got a different everyday necklace for my best friend. Goultard's "reincarnations"

In the World of Twelve, we know of many different characters who have reincarnations. Whether they have 9 lives and keep their memories with every reincarnation like ecaflip's sons, or whether they are immortal but lose their memories at every rebirth like most eliatropes and dragons of the council.

Goultard is sort of an anomaly. Although he calls this process "reincarnation", there is no rebirth involved.

Goultard : We were friends in one of my reincarnations, and i remember i had a lot of fun with you.

We know Goultard has died before. Probably many times. But (as far as i'm aware) we only know of two specific times. One in the Dofus manga and one in Wakfu.

When goultard dies, his body simply... stays dead, until it has the time to regenerate. Goultard uses a specific word to speak of this regeneration : "recompose" himself. As in the opposite of "decompose", "putting himself back together". And he can apparently also absorb things inside him during this process???

Goultard : I must have accidentally absorbed you when I recomposed myself

In volume 5, we see Goultard die, or more accurately, we see Vald die, since at this time Vald is the one controlling the body that they share.

Vald was at the wrong place at the wrong time, got caught in a scheme that didn't concern him, and paid the price anyway. He was drugged, and his body cut in two at the waist.

Vald : No... Not... like this... I can't die... like... this...

Shortly after, the body has come back together, and Goultard makes his first appearance.

Goultard : Unfortunately for you, the plan wasn't perfect! / Homar's minion : What? Who the hell are you? / Goultard : My name is Goultard, little maggot, behold my darkness...

Goultard : ... For it is the last thing you will ever see.

I have SO MUCH to say about the way Gou's introduced in the manga but that's for another post.

Note : Goultard later "survives" similar or worse injuries. Since Vlad and Vald are said to be less powerful than Gou, i think we can imagine they're also less resistent to injuries than he is. He gets brutally impaled on the Cornu's fist in volume 17, but stays conscious and keeps trying to fight even with a giant hole in his abdomen.

Cornu Mollu : I have to admit you're taking a long time to die, it commands respect.

Not dying means his body has a harder time regenerating by itself, and he requires medical attention to recover. (Arty needs it too they both got demolished in that fight)

In Wakfu s01e22 Rubilax, we learn that Goultard is dead when Tristepin visits his tomb and starts to talk about what his life has been like since they parted ways.

I assume Goultard dying was the very reason they parted ways and Tristepin started adventuring on hiw own.

We have no clue what killed Goultard or for how much time he's been dead. But Tristepin is still young, and i dont think he's been on his own (with Rubi) for very long. I'd say two years at MOST.

But Goultard wakes up and says, although he was dead, he's not anymore, so really, there's no reason to worry or even ask. And they never mention it again after that.

I've seen multiple people say Goultard faked his death. I would tell them to rewatch the episode because this really does not look fake to me.

Goultard coming back from the dead exactly at the moment tristepin needed him is not a coincidence, to me it shows that goultard's "reincarnation" is at least partly a conscious decision. He could have simply stayed dead but decided otherwise.

In the Dofus manga special-issue Les Shushus de Rushu, while he is enchained and imprisoned, we can see that Goultard can sleep for years on end, entering a sort of hibernation/meditation.

Kiki : When are you going to wake up and take care of your wives? / Azra : You've been sleeping for years, it's time to get up! Wake up Goultard!

I think him dying is similar to this. To him, choosing to stay dead instead of regenerating and waking up is like staying in bed and oversleeping.

In volume 27, Goultard himself implies he doesn't know if he can die permanently.

Goultard : First of all, nobody knocked me out.... We don't even know if that's possible.

When he's dead, does his spirit go where all other spirits go when they die? No way to know. But my guess would be to say no. Since he laughed hearing Tristepin's stories, it means even dead he's somewhat conscious of what's going on around him. Maybe like a ghost?

Is he, in a way, like a walking corpse, already dead but kept alive by magic? This feels kind of puella magi madoka magica to me, but I obviously can't explain what i mean without majorly spoiling puella magi madoka magica.

Yang sighed as she clutched a small necklace with a cross to her chest, listening to the last of a sermon as she stood in the back of the church. It was one of the few things that gave her solace over the last few years. With Ruby missing ever since a training mission at Beacon, her family falling apart, Weiss back in Atlas, and Blake off to try to reconcile with her parents, she didnt have much to turn to beyond huntressing and trying to find other ways to keep herself occupied. And church seemed to keep her mind off things enough to focus on herself. Even if she didnt quite believe in the gods that everyone else did. 

As the sermon she listened to finally ended, Yang made her way out of the small church and walked through the streets of Patch. Her eyes went to the kids playing on the streets, the way everyone seemed to go on in life as if they had no worries beyond the grimm. And yet, the grimm was what she worried about the most. 

She paused as she heard her scroll ring, answering it quietly when she saw Jaune’s name come up. “Jaune? What’s going on?” 

“Ozpin needs us for another mission,” Jaune answered. “Weiss and Blake are going to be there too.” 

“What exactly does he need us for?” 

“He hasnt said, but from the sounds of it, its at least important enough to keep secret until he can brief us. Will you come?” 

“I-I need time to think about it. How much time do I have to decide?” 

“Two days.” 

Yang nodded and sighed. “Alright. I’ll let you know then. I have a few things that I need to get in order first.” 

“You know how to get a hold of me.” 

Yang stared at the scroll screen as the call finished, not sure how she felt about going on a mission that even Ozpin wasnt willing to talk about. Sure, not all the missions she took had all the information on what she’d face, but this felt different. Secretive. And yet, she couldnt think of any reason to stay in Patch. No grave for Ruby to care for, she hadnt visited her father in years, Qrow was too busy taking missions and staying in taverns for her to try to find him, but the thought of seeing Blake again… it made her nervous. All the things she couldnt say after Ruby disappeared, the way she shut down and pulled away from Blake…. 

She quietly clutched her necklace once more and quietly sighed. “Maybe I’ll finally find out what happened to you, Rubes.”

“Hey Blake, long time no see, right?” Yang said quietly to herself as she walked through Beacon. “No, I cant say that, it doesnt sound right.” 

“You could just tell her you’re sorry for not trying to reach out to her.” 

Yang felt her heart stop as she turned around to see Blake behind her, the words stuck in her throat as she tried to speak. A blush crossed her cheeks as she really looked at Blake, seeing the piercings in her ears and the way she looked after months of not seeing her. “B-Blake… I-I-” 

“Its fine,” Blake said as she walked by Yang. “Its all in the past now anyway.” 

“That… doesnt… mean I shouldnt have tried to keep closer.” Yang sighed and followed Blake through the campus and to the tower to get to Ozpin’s office. “I’m… sorry. I really am.” 

“I forgave you long ago for it. Ruby went missing and it hurt us all. I understand why you pulled away, I just wish you could’ve talked to us.” 

Yang stopped and watched Blake continue towards the tower, thinking about what she had said. Searching for Ruby had consumed her to the point that she hadnt realized just how far she’d pulled away from the others until they had graduated. She slowly started walking again and wiped a couple tears out of her eyes. “I’ll make this up to you.” 

Blake shook her head. “Dont worry about, just focus on what Ozpin needs us for.” 

“And any idea what that is?” 

“Ozpin hasnt told me yet.” 

Yang sighed and followed Blake into the tower, slowly making her way to the elevator. She nearly stopped in her tracks as she looked around, everything still looked the same even after these years. 

“Are you coming?” Blake asked as she stopped at the elevator. “You know how slow it is.” 

“Cant I reminisce about our time here?” 

“If that was what you were doing, I’d say yes. But we both know we dont have time for that.” 

“Ozpin wont mind if we’re a little late,” Yang said as she made her way to the elevator as it opened. “I guess I’m surprised that nothing’s changed around here. The campus, the tower… I figured that something would change.” 

“If only everything could stay the same….” 

Yang winced at the words, her hand reaching out towards Blake’s. She stopped before her fingers touched Blake’s, and then she pulled her hand back. As much as she had wanted to reach out to her, to take her hand to comfort her and to tell her that she was here, it wasnt her place to do so. At least, not yet. Not until she could finally make amends for what she’d done. 

She stayed quiet as the elevator made its way up to Ozpin’s office, her foot tapping on the floor impatiently. Finally, she heard the *ding* the elevator made once it reached the office and the doors opened. She stepped out, only to be met by Weiss with a scowl on her face. 

“You’re late,” Weiss said, annoyed. 

“I’m not that late,” Yang said as she moved past Weiss. “Getting to Beacon took a little longer than expected.” 

“You still could’ve tried to be on time.” 

“Give her a break, Weiss,” Blake half growled out. “She’s here now. That counts for something, right?” 

Weiss rolled her eyes and huffed. “Fine.” 

“Glad to see you too,” Yang said quietly as she looked around Ozpin’s office. Jaune, Ren, and Nora were here, but Pyrrha was notably absent, which was strange on its own. She made her way to Jaune, her voice still quiet as she spoke. “Where’s Pyrrha?” she asked. 

“She’s uh… in the hospital,” Jaune answered. “She was attacked on a mission.” 

“And the reason I requested you six for this current mission,” Ozpin said from his desk. 

“What does Pyrrha being in the hospital have to do with us?” Blake asked. 

Ozpin stood up and placed his scroll on his desk for the group to see. “Pyrrha managed to get a picture of her attacker. I will need you all to keep everything we discuss here secret.” 

Yang froze as she saw the picture on Ozpin’s scroll, her heart nearly stopping as she paled like she’d seen a ghost. The picture itself showed Ruby with her scythe, ready to strike at Pyrrha. “You’re… you’re saying Ruby… hurt Pyrrha? That Ruby’s alive?!”

“She is.” Ozpin picked up his scroll and looked around the room. “I know this is a lot to ask you all, but I need you to find her and bring her in-” 

“How long have you known she was alive?!” Yang interrupted him angrily, nearly slamming her hands against his desk. 

Ozpin paused, then looked away from Yang. “About a week ago after she was spotted outside Mistral. We know she’s not working alone and she targeted Pyrrha because of the powers she has.” 

“What powers?” Nora asked. “Sure, she has a semblance that makes her nearly untouchable, but I wouldnt call that a power.” 

“Its because she’s the fall maiden, right” Jaune asked. 

“I didnt expect her to tell you that, but yes,” Ozpin answered as he pulled out his book of fairytales. “And I must ask you all to keep the rest of what we discuss here as secret.  The maidens arent the only fairytale that has more truth than what you’ve been led to believe.”

Could you talk about your infection au? I'm invested in it and I've been thinking about it all day

YES HULLO !! i dont want to spoil anything too much and im also working on a field guide sort of thing for the different stages of infection so im gonna try not to talk about those rite neow BUT im so glad that people r enjoying it! so id been seeing these scary mlp infection things ALLL over my tik tok feed for weeks and i was like .. yanno .. itd be really silly if i made this wof .. so i spent like 3 days mulling over what i could make the infection actually BE and i almost made it like the icewing plague but like it went scary but i didnt really know how to keep going with that so then i came up with a super smart idea which turned into this😋i dont wanna say where it started yet cuz ermm lore stuff but i will say that liek in the story the infection doesnt officially have a name yet so everyones just calling it like. the sickness at jade mountain. most of the infected originated IN jade mountain with the first symptoms being noticed in moon and turtle respectively, and then with the icewing students. i cant tell you guys how they got sick bc again . lore ..... but i think that its like kinda possible to find out. but i dunno. vulture and fierceteeth are also sick. there is ONE singular factor that unites these 4 + icewings, which miight b the reason WHY they got sick.kinkajou technically SHOULD be sick but she isnt for another reason that i cant say but if you really look into wof lore then i think u can figure it out idk. the infections transmitted via saliva/blood transmission, so mainly bites. tail barbs of infected sandwings are capable of spreading the sickness. there are 4 stages (5 if you count death) and it takes around 3 to 3.5 weeks for all stages to finish,, by ep3 the sickness has been around for ~2.5 weeks. the only KNOWN cure is amputation of wherever the infected area is,, so MUCH easier in early stages, unfortunate if its on an inconvenient spot, and impossible after hives start spreading. obvi flame had to be important bc i heart flame and i was like .. wait .. hes a healer in canon ...... so that worked out perfectly !! ik that in canon liana is like one of glorys MANY bodyguards but idc shes a healer here bc ermm i said so . also liana and mango r dating but i dont think that its relevant to the plot theyre just girlfriends in my head . as of right now kinkajou and peril are the only known immune dragons, with kinkajou for reasons currently unknown and peril bc . yknow . shes on fire . glory is in close contact with ruby and both kingdoms have taken measures to notify their kingdoms; the rainforest is under a sort of lockdown with rainwings on constant patrol/lookout for outsiders entering, they accept anyone who isnt infected to stay there for refuge while the skywing kingdom is in basically total lockdown other than ruby's messengers. ruby and glory also exchange their respective kingdoms medical knowledge, with the skywings having very good technology and rainwings having an expansive knowledge on medical herbs. nobody has heard from coral- the last thing she did was call for anemone's return back to the kingdom, and once she arrived, they all went underwater and have since then cut all outside contact. the mudwings are aware of the sickness but have so far done nothing about it; moorhen has warned her subjects but thats really it. i havent really decided what the sandwings or the icewings are up to but let me tell you guys its looking really rough for the icewings . so far it looks as though royal icewings are more resilient- tundras currently sick, but the sickness seems to be progressing much slower. this was initially believed to be because of the cold, but then other icewings started getting sick, and so its believed to just be a royal thing- likely something in their genetics. icicle is also sick but shes in stage 4 .. pray for my girl guys. lynx is helping snowfall out the best she can, but with the population getting increasingly sick seemingly spontaneously, its extremely difficult and stressful. the talons have quarantined sanctuary too. ok im outta characters but ya ty 4 the support!!

So I just rewatched “73 yards” and although i still have no idea what was going on I have some thoughts and mini theories(did not expect the post to be this big, sorry both that)

So first thing to note, there is no opening theme song doesnt play at all, which marks the first of many mysterys of what on earth happened with the woman this episode. This most likely relates to the doctor just vanishing into thin air as soon as they reach the fairy circle as the show is called Doctor Who, and he is needed for the show to happen properly. A sort of crack theory I had is that the “showrunner”(see previous theory for more context, tldr potential pantheon member) took the doctor out of the episode when the woman started appearing cause if the doctor speaks to it, he will hate ruby and that would ruin the showman’s plans? Im also quite certain the showrunner didnt make the woman in the first place as i think they have some direct control over 4th wall breaking people, and Mrs flood who we see at the christmas special broke the wall says “Nothing to do with me” which could be a disguised way of hinting the showrunner has nothing to do with the woman.

Second, I dont think ruby is the woman, but more so was taken by them at the end of her life to absorb her I guess? and cause of pantheon wishy washy magic, old ruby is able to get to young ruby to stop it from happening again. I doubt this is a time loop cause if it was, ruby wouldn’t have mentioned 3 welsh visits the second time round, which means that the main bulk of the episode did in fact happen. It could be that when old Ruby “died” she could access the “tech room” and get young ruby to leave to potentially save the show. I also couldn’t find much on why 73 is significant, maybe one thing could make sense, is that it means “best regards” in telegraph code. Not sure how excactly it fits into everything tho. Also the snow happens quite frequently at the start of the episode, specifically at the cliff when the doctor vanishes as well as the whole susan encounter, and at the final chat between ruby and her adoptive mum. while outside the flat door, Carla says to ruby “Not even your birth mum wanted you.” ending the call and soon after snow starts. This could be ruby’s mum reaching out to her although she doesnt know it.

Final note, the actress for the woman, Hilary Hobson, doesn’t exist. there is no info on her and it seems to be a stage name for plot reasons like with Susan. Hilary means “cheerful” in Latin and Hobson from scandanavian origins means “Son of Hob”. The cheerful could just be an ironic twist as all the womans victims just scare them away from their places because of ruby, and the only dr who related Hob i found was a tin robot so im confused in regards to the name. Final sort of out of no where bit I promise, I think what the woman is saying to everyone is the Truth, the Truth being the fact that its a tv show, and they all play apart, and that ruby is some sort of demigod and is causing all the supernatural stuff to happen to begin with, and that this whole timeline is a sort of what if/warning for ruby to basically say that if people find out who she actually is, they will all hate and reject her, the first being the doctor as he always runs away.

Ok just thought of this last bit as I was typing this extra last paragraph, The toymaker on regards to his encounter to the one who waits says, “I saw it hiding and I ran”which could mean maybe that this thing could be the one who waits or at least related and it certainly did wait for ruby to finally perish before taking her so the showrunner and the waiting one could be different people after all.

They soon found out that the collar that makes me obey, my chain on which i am held, can be hacked, soon i was fighting for the rebels, unknowingly

Ruby eyes turned white, as i burnt hundreds of rose reds and tore them apart

It was over as soon as it started, but they deceided that i should be the only one

So i was taken control of back and forth from the queen of hearts to the rebels [jabberwocky]

The jabberwocky was useful in the war to the rebels, everyone feared it, but then, it went all so wrong. A glint of sentinence had been growing inside of the Jabberwocky, as it took over. And it turned against everyone, tired of being treated as just A weapon, it wrecked havoc, before it was shot down- it didnt stop it. I stabbed out its eye, to distract it. But then, it was gone. I cant speak, its gibberish, a rhyme whine, Speech a Confusion, Askul frm or my true language- the one of machines that no one speaks anymore. When shall this terror end? A NEW OC!! ITS FOR THE MECHANISMS Ä!

Heres the description:

Name: Jabberwocky

-they/it or just its name

-a humanoid robot dragon essentially; it has dragon wings, its gasmask/helmet looks like a dragons, its pupils are slits, its hands have claws and its unnatural lanky and tall, its feet have claws too, and it has a dragon tail..its made from shining silver metal, its teeth are steel. It can breathe fire, has enorm strength, a thirst for blood, poisonous teeth and bizarrely, a love for tea. Its wings are the colour of oxidized copper, its eyes are essentially rubies w slit , their short hair a mix of blood red and moss green, their scales that litter their arms, legs, meck and sides of its body are a.metallic green. it is clad in a red military band jacket and a pair of white pants with buttons on the side. Its dangerous as it can move so swiftly and makes no sound- until its too late. Their teeth are too big for their mouth, thats why their mouth is always contorted into an odd grin (not as wide as chesires tho). Often perches somewhere on kts fours, looking for its next victim

-an experiment by King Cole; the only one of its kind as after it was finished and deployed, it was discovered that anyone could use it for its purposes- The collar that it wears makes it follow orders through a series of electric impulses- Unfortunately, that collar can be hacked and it didnt took for the rebels long to notice, so it turned into a back and forth between the two sides. Until…a glint of sentinence had started to develop inside of it- and it had enough of being just another weapon. So it went rogue. Turning onto everyone, it lit the battlefield ablaze with its fiery breath. It took awhile to even shoot it down, but it srivived and it also survived gettign its eyes stabbed out by none other than Alice Liddell, to protect the others, especially the white knight and queen. It did escaped tho, stalking the land

-due to its one eye being broken, its collar inly works half way- on occasion, it gets hacjed and then iti fights for one side but the effect wears off and it goes rogue, berserk-like as it slaughters the masses- but as soon as it sees tes, it takes a tea break. And when it gets brought under control, its always chained up and secured, no matter if rebel or queen of hearts- its treated like a beast.

-And inside of its head, irs full of doubts- what us it ecavtly, is it a person? Does the oil that leak from its eye symbolize tears? Can it feel mental pain? What are these sequenves (dreams) that it sees when.it rests? Why does it want to run or to stop?? It is confused. What doesent help is that it cant communicate properly, usually speaking in odd rhymes that make no sense, gibberish or just repeats a few words with no connection. And no one on this palnet speaks its true languagey the language of machine. So its left alone, confused, scared, full of hatred and bloodlust..soemtiems it picks its victims apart to see whats on the inside.

-It also picks up broadcasts and signals from all over and it can hack into computer system…but the message that the war was over..was deemed dentrimental to the war effort and was scrambled and it didnt udnerstood it. And even if-it coudlnt have stopped. It was born from war. it is their nature, their programming

-depending on which side theyre on, their eye changes from red to white. It doesent ubderstand feelings, has the names but not the meaning. It laighs but it sounds fake, robotic.

-it yearns for another machine to understand it..and to love it. It saw lovr in war it wabts to understand it, feel it. But it doesent have a heart, just a processor.

-they get picked up by the mechanisms abd taken in, due to theur destructive nature and wings. They deceide to keep their lost eye…

*After Jaune gone missing for almost a year, The Witch Hunters Academy decided to send one of his best Hunters to go after Jaune. His name is Cardin, and very few know but he and Jaune... Were not friends*

*Right now, Cardin is going towards The Forest where Jaune was last seen, trying to find The Red Witch...*

Jaune: Ok... *He is in the Forest, removing its sword from The back of a Dead Boar* Ruby May like this. Lets see, fish for Blake, Boar for Ruby, Mushrooms for Weiss... Yang likes Steak right?

*Cardin looks up, noticing something. It was The RWBY Witches shed, and Yang, Weiss and Blake were arriving home.*

Cardin: Son of a bitch you were tracking them. The Snow Witch, The Faunus Witch and the Fighting Witch!

Jaune: Wait, Cardin! Dont go there, please.

Cardin: Why not? Should i remember your stupid ass brain what they are? They are witches! Servants of Salem, The Witch Queen! And they are made to be killed!

Jaune: Not them!

*Cardin stared at jaune with a flabbergastered expression, until he realized. So thats why Jaune disappeared. Why he looked better than before.*

Cardin: ... You are fucking them.

Jaune: What?

Cardin: So, now you are not a Witch Hunter, you are a Witch Layer? Wow, you really surpassed yourself. Or maybe... You are under a spell. *He unsheat his sword* And the only way to end a Witch Spell is killing The Witch.

Jaune: What are you going to do?

Cardin: Watch and learn, Deer Boy. Thats how you kill a Witch.

*Cardin walked towards the shed, but Jaune got on his way. He was holding his sword and shield, staring at Cardin.*

Jaune: I cant let you do this.

Cardin: You really lost your mind.

Jaune: Yeah... Probably.

*Cardin attacked first, Jaune defending with his shield and kicking Cardin, launching a cut with his sword, cutting Cardin cheek. Cardin growled, lauching several cuts, Jaune defending with his shield and sword. Cardin was impressed. Jaune really got better. Suddenly, Jaune pressed Cardin against a tree with The Shield, sheating The sword and punching him in the face.*

Jaune: Im not Deer Boy, im not a Weakling! *Punch* Im Jaune Arc! *Punch* And i will not let you badmouth my family or hurt my lovers!

*the last punch of Jaune sunken The head of Cardin on the tree, making a hole big enough to make the Tree fall, calling the attention of the other 3 witches in the Shed. Jaune looked at Cardin smashed face on the ground, panting. He Beat up his bully, but now everyone was about to discover what was going on. His friends were in danger. What he could do now?*

*Suddenly, he felt something hug him from behind. It was Ruby. She was Hugging him with a very fierce but comforting grip.*

Ruby: Shh... *She hugged more* Everything is gonna be ok. Ok?

So. I finally watched last Thursday`s episode. If youd rather just tell me to go look it up myself, I totally get it, but I dont get the Big Deal with Orym supposedly Going Dark?? Like. He is right. They ARE at war and its time that they put aside the Are the Prime Deities Good (they are, we as an audience have canonical proof of it through 2 main campaigns and Calamity) debate and get behind Ashton`s `The Ruby Vanguard is willing to kill anyone, and thats too dangerous to allow` mindset.

So I can't speak for people who are saying this, since naturally I disagree, but my suspicions are that it's largely coming from people who were hoping for the campaign to more explicitly affirm their personal politics or ideals and are upset that a heroic fantasy D&D show set in a world with very different norms...continues to be set there, and the characters and stories carry out those norms. It's always been a problem, that some people do not like to acknowledge how different Exandria is from 21st century Earth not just in like, there's elves and magic, but in social mores, and this was a jarring reminder to them.

But I agree that this is Orym affirming Ashton's mindset. I also agree that while we have canonical proof from past works, it's best to craft an argument that doesn't rest of that. It does not matter that we know the prime deities' alignments or how they've acted towards past PCs or more generally whether you do or do not like the idea of a world with gods in it. You have one group who is preying on desperate people to the point that one of those people, when confronted but not injured by people who made him feel like he belonged, nearly killed one of them, and who has murdered and destroyed the minds of anyone in their way; and you have a group that is trying to stop them. Orym is just affirming that he is, absolutely part of the group trying to stop them.

Someone asked me last week what the point of the split was, and I said we couldn't really tell until it was over, but I think it served to show the human side of what had been this grand, overwhelming plan, and what the work might be, if Bells Hells can successfully stop them.

Team Wildemount did see more of the macro level - the destruction of Molaesmyr, the gods calling upon FCG and Deanna - but they also saw the survivors of Molaesmyr in Uthodurn, still morning the destruction of their home almost 300 years ago. We saw Umudara, who can't go home. We saw the infrastructure of Uthodurn break as enchantments failed. We saw clerics and followers of gods feeling terrified and lost. We saw people who were absolutely not involved in pain because of Ludinus and the Vanguard's actions.

Team Issylra, meanwhile, saw what kind of people might be drawn into the Vanguard and Ludinus's words - people dealing with oppression in the name of the gods, and people who have suffered faith-shattering tragedies. I think it's an important element of the story, since we've mostly dealt with high-level people (Otohan, Ludinus, Liliana) and only had a few tussles at the Malleus Key.

Essentially, this all served to say "gods aside, Ludinus, as head and founder of the Ruby Vanguard, is exploiting the oppressed instead of freeing them." Because do you know what would have happened had Hearthdell attacked Kiro on their own? This would have been a bloodbath, and a village would be wiped off the map, because some asshole with a magic microphone is entirely happy to use them up and discard them. What if Bor'Dor hadn't been recruited? What if he just got teleported as just a con man in the Cyrios Mountains, and he came across the party? Ludinus never actually stopped wearing that magic funnel, he just changed the methodology.

I think, similarly, the moment with the locket isn't "I shall become a killing machine." Remember how Ashton said the guy with the locket probably didn't have a family anymore? Orym is, in fact, in my opinion, looking at that, and at Bor'Dor, and saying "I'm not going to become this, despite my own losses and grief, and I'm going to stop it from happening to more people, and the path to that might be difficult and require some actions I wish I didn't have to do but which must be done." And I think Hearthdell shows that there will be work to be done if they stop Ludinus; that the next step is to make sure that worshipers of the gods truly do leave other people alone to live their lives in the places where they're genuinely overstepping and engaging in oppression.

My final thought is that there was a lot of discussion during these arcs that there be someone more unambiguously in favor of the gods, and with all of the above, I think that it worked out beautifully that there wasn't, and that we can stop focusing on the gods and start focusing on the people.

im a mess….my dog died….i got him as a puppy when i was 11….he would be 11 by January…

recently we found out he had a heart disease and he began to receive treatment but…he just died today 7th of august….he got into hospital but he was doing really bad…his lungs were filled with blood and he had a heart attack……

im heartbroken….i still can’t believe……i saw his de*d body in the vet but….i still can’t believe it….

i cant imagine what its like to have lost him after having grown up with him for a decade </33 the grief of losing a pet is so profound 😭😭

in this moment, the only consolation is that he went quick without suffering for too long, especially at his age 🥹🥹 may his soul rest in eternal peace

i think he might return to you as a spirit guardian because when we've spent that long with someone (and have a good relationship with them) they don't just vanish, their energy and good spirit remains with us and carries us throughout life. i know this journey is going to be a difficult one but he has moved to another realm but will continue to accompany you in spirit, protecting you and loving you as only he can<3 may you find solace in Spirit during this time.

my neighbour had a dog named Ruby. she was a labrador and getting quite old. after my neighbour got a new dog, she seemed to care less and less about Ruby and Ruby was basically out on the streets (I hope no one has to endure this fate, especially as Ruby was getting older and weaker) and Ruby had always been fond of my mom and I. She used to protect me from all the other dogs in the neighbourhood and used to walk with me if she saw me walking around 🥺she often ate at our house and we fed her happily. As our neighbour started neglecting her more and more, she spent most of her time on our property, by this point she was extremely sick and looked like it. Treating her would cost $$$$ which we couldn't spare at the time. But she spent all her last days with us and finally, one morning, my mom found that Ruby had passed away near the kitchen where she usually slept.

After having known her for 8years (she was much older but I dont know how much) she had become like a big sister to me because she was always so maternal and caring. Losing her was so hard. That year (2022) I knew I would lose someone I loved to death and I had been anticipating hearing news of someone's passing all year. Ruby passed away after Christmas and it was sooo shocking even though we knew she didn't have much longer. This year will mark the 2nd anniversary of her passing but I still feel her presence with me and I know she's guiding me as she always did. Her love, her warmth and her kindness lives in me and I know she's watching me from above, along with my ancestors.

please take as much time as you need to grieve but know that your dog will find his way back to you in ether <333

OOO and for favorite aus I thought I'd share these for you to check out!! There are only three(other than this one) that I keep up with!!

I highly recommend them, especially green hordes and paintingskyes au!!!Pinkie senses has beautiful art but doesn't upload a whole bunch but has a wonderful story going on. Greenhordes is mostly reading but dude it's so worth it trust me,their infection is so sick my favorite is the mimic. And paintingskyes au is fantastic and they have a upload schedule and everything it's very well organized!!Also super fun to watch!!

interesting thing i've noticed while putting in romeo's new card for my spreadsheet

all his ssrs have def boosts, and every unit of his has or inflicts one of the named skills (Curse, Fury, Stun, and Sleep for him). his two most recent ssrs, ruby connoisseur and impassive undertaker, are really good tanks because of the def boosts. both have 20% increase while there's Cursed enemy/he has Fury, and they both come into battle with those things active as well as both have a good chance of keeping those skills active

ruby connoisseur romeo's third skill curses two enemies and he curses one at random upon entering battle. i'd say he's almost more likely to get the most damage starting out from recoil damage

impassive undertaker romeo is formatted almost the same with his skills. he comes into battle with fury, second skill has a gain fury skill. fury lasts for three turns, so he has time to build up the MP to gain fury again regularly and nearly always have it active

but look at this!! they're so similar

(for context, Curse units will take 5% more damage and i dont believe it wears off, and Fury units will deal 5% more damage for 3 turns)
