No but seriously have we discussed the smile in 710, post “god I hope so”? Not the actual smirk, but the way Tommy just kinda fades out of the cheeky smirk into that smile that gives SO much about where their relationship is at? Because Buck totally could’ve been like “okay no, this doesn’t work for me”, and Tommy clearly would’ve rolled with it. But the fact that he’s giving back what he’s being given in that scene, and then it progresses into just the tiniest hint of a real smile, which in my opinion speaks to their relationship.

We’ve already discussed the fact that this scene means they’re comfortable with each other, that they can engage both physically and emotionally without fear of repercussions. But there’s just something to me about how the way the smile changes is Tommy letting a wall down. Like he’s not just being playful with Evan, but he’s genuinely showing that he wants this kind of engagement with him; he wants the emotional connection that runs deep enough that he feels safe enough to show how their flirting actually makes him feel.

Idk man. There’s just something about that 2 second moment in particular that stands out to me. It does SO MUCH for the entire narrative. Really creates some solid building blocks towards the idea that this show is serving us these two not just dating to date, but that they’re falling for one another. Evan with his overnight bag, taking his dad’s support of the relationship in stride. Tommy letting Evan in beyond just the little bits of the real version of himself he gives to the outside world. Dare I say they’re actually falling in love with one another?

I apologize, but this entire relationship IS my Roman Empire.

Eddie’s voice broke in parts of the song, he felt raw and hurt, and much like the first time Buck hated that he was the reason for that.

When Buddie becomes canon I just know Buck's gonna' kiss Eddie so, so much. We know Eddie is not that big on PDA but I just know Buck won't be able to keep his hands (lips) off of him. Just little innocent pecks whenever he has to leave Eddie's side. On Eddie's rosy round cheeks 🥺. Lil pecks on his mouth while Eddie is talking to someone just cutting him off for a quick second as Buck goes to grab coffee or something. And Eddie would complain about it but he'd love every single second of it.

i will never get over how they chose to direct and shoot the shooting scene

the focus on buck and eddie before the shooting and then once eddie is shot??? buck being in utter shock unable to move. eddies blood on his face. eddie reaching for him as his eyes close. buck dragging him to safety and hauling him into the truck. eddie being more concerned for buck and his raspy “are you hurt”

how is the audience not supposed to come to the conclusion that this man just watched the love of his nearly die before his eyes

Buck in a Little Black Dress :D

that's it. that's the agenda. I was listening to Little Black Dress by One Direction and ofc I couldn't stop thinking about Buck. I cannot get the image out of my head. Just imagine Buck and Eddie are lounging in their bed on a cozy saturday afternoon and watching a romcom and the FL is wearing a cute little black dress and Buck offhandedly says something like wow I kinda wanna try it. And Eddie's heart does like a thousand somersaults and sits up straight. Next morning my man's out spending hours looking for a dress as good as his Buck. Finally. finally he finds The One and like literally almost passes out imagining buck in that. Gets home nervously hands buck the dress and when buck steps out, trying to adjust the sleeves Eddie basically jumps him and buck is surprised but also lowkey super horny and then they fuck nasty. Later when the dress, carefully taken off but carelessly thrown across the room, becomes a starting point for buck exploring feminine clothing! Crop tops, short dresses and skirts become his favorites!

Season 2 is a great season, arguably the best season of 911. It is the season I saw the potential for Buddie and my slight obsession with shipping Buck and Eddie.

The way these two characters were written and how they interact establishes an amazing foundation for a slow burn friends to lovers trope.

During my rewatch I took notes specifically regarding character development for Buck and Eddie. Individually and as a couple.

What this rewatch has taught me is that Season 2 was more intense than what I remembered it to be and Buddie cannot just be an accident or a delusion the fans made up. If the writers did not mean to develop a gay romance between these two characters, they definitely overlooked key details that have us Buddie shippers come to this conclusion. There are multiple scenes/scenarios that captivate the ship’s potential.

If I have the energy to share my notes with you all, I will. Maybe break it down per episode or every few episodes, but for now, I will state that season 2 only lays down the foundation for Buddie. Buck and Eddie don’t have their “oh” moment in this season. It established a mutual attraction towards each other and a start to an amazing friendship.

I’m obviously a bit unhinged and obsessed at the moment. I hope you enjoy my random notes/ thought process and join me in this slightly unhealthy behavior as a Buddie Shipper 🩷
