"He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." ------- Revelation 13:16-17

Out Of the Seats & Into the Streets
First of all, “out of the seats and into the streets” means it’s time to quit playing “Church,” it’s time to be done with “churchianity”   By Rob Pue, Publisher – Wisconsin Christian News   As many of you are aware, I have a 24/7 newsfeed.  In fact I have several.  Many, in fact.  A steady stream of news and information coming in from multiple sources, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The…

Part 11: The Making of the Postsecular City. The reasons it happened
Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com After visiting so many new evangelical churches, Tammy Wong’s question is, how did this tremendous change come about? In 1975 there were only ten or so evangelical churches in Manhattan Center City (below 96th Street on the East Side and 125th Street on the West Side) that served English-speaking professionals like her. By 2010 there were over 200 evangelical…

I wish grown-up Tessa was legit, especially since she seemingly acts so "out of character" between episodes 3 and 7. It shows just how much the destruction of Earth affected Tessa as a character. It's character development. Trauma changed her for the worse.
I imagine Tessa feels extreme guilt for her hand in what happened. She brought Cyn home, she gave her room to grow into the monster she is now, and near the end, even though she absolutely saw the warning signs, she was too stubborn, too eager in her vision of what Cyn could be that she became blind to what Cyn was. I can absolutely see a timeline where Tessa feels personally responsible for not only Cyn's rise to power, but for the utter destruction of her home and the death of her entire species. For all she knows, she is the last human in the entire universe (and thus the last human that will ever exist, humans are going to die with her and she knows it) and it's all her fault. She isn't worthy of being the last human to exist, at least in her eyes.
That is a mindset I can absolutely see driving Tessa to the dogged determination to kill Uzi that we see in episode 7. She's so desperate for redemption and to avenge humanity, to prove that she's worthy of being humanity's last torchbearer, that she's unwilling to accept any solution other than the complete destruction of any possible method Cyn could use to come back. Any less and she'll have proven herself to be the traitor of humanity that she already believes herself to be.
That's an absolutely heartbreaking turn for a character that was, before, so bright-eyed and optimistic, and I absolutely love it. That's the Tessa I wish we got.

So I Don't Forget #1
going to start dumping any fire emblem related writing ideas in this blog so I don't forget them. special tags just for me lol
Anyway, I've got a bachelor's degree in rhetoric and sociology and I think it would be cool to write an academic research paper understanding the different routes of FE3H and how the rhetoric used in the storytelling of each route fundamentally impacts your understanding of the characters and story. It's not as simple as "edelgard bad" or "church of seiros bad" because different elements are revealed in each route that do not negate the truth of others; it's not like in one route, rhea is evil and in another she isn't. the facts of the plotline remain the same, but how you as the player engage with these elements changes your gameplay experience and the experiences of your units as well. And that translates into fandom spaces and how people engage with secondary media related to the game. anyways. dumping that idea here.
*Note that this same concept can be applied to Fates but Three Houses is a much better written game and is far more extensive so I'd focus on three houses but brrrr Camilla from Fates my love. anyways.

restoration is good (TO ME) because after 12 years we finally get to see carolina gather the clarity to understanding tex. just as carolina was beaten down, when we don't have sarge or wash to guide us, it happens.
tex saves us. the woman who failed defies fate and saves the day.
#tex's whole story was about not being her own person and she was forgotten as if that was true#but it's not true. i think caboose being the one to choose tex over church. to remember tex as her own person#to have cared enough about her. to remind us that tex was never just church's ex or just a freelancer or just a bamf#but that she was someone who was cared about. who was loved. she cared so much only to be abandoned#and yet. and yet. the reds and blues didn't see it that way. she was a part of them. despite it all they were her friends#and i'm so happy that we got to see the show itself be reminded of that. that tex was her own person.#she was valued and she was loved. i think carolina seeing tex return made her understand this.#carolina got to see the tex she never allowed herself to see: a tex who cared about her friends.#a tex whose strength was those around her. the allies she made. carolina sees herself in tex.#and it finally allows her to let tex go. carolina says goodbye for the first time and it's to tex.#the last remnant of her mother and she lets her go.#idkidkdikddidkddk carolina and tex make me wanna chew on glass or something i cannot believe burnie burns came in clutch at the last second#to give carolina and tex that closure. to give tex an ending on her own terms. that's why restoration is GOATed it's flawed but it's earnes#like....BURNIE BURNS??? of all people??? giving us closure on carolina AND tex at the same time??? BURNIE BURNS??? it sounds made up andyet

Woe to Tyrants
1 Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression, 2 to turn aside the needy from justice and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey! 3 What will you do on the day of punishment, in the storm which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth? 4 Nothing remains but to crouch among the prisoners or fall among the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away and his hand is stretched out still.
Arrogant Assyria Also Judged 5 Ah, Assyria, the rod of my anger, the staff of my fury! 6 Against a godless nation I send him, and against the people of my wrath I command him, to take spoil and seize plunder, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. 7 But he does not so intend, and his mind does not so think; but it is in his mind to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few; 8 for he says: “Are not my commanders all kings? 9 Is not Calno like Car′chemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samar′ia like Damascus? 10 As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols whose graven images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samar′ia, 11 shall I not do to Jerusalem and her idols as I have done to Samar′ia and her images?”
12 When the Lord has finished all his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem he will punish the arrogant boasting of the king of Assyria and his haughty pride. 13 For he says:
“By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding; I have removed the boundaries of peoples, and have plundered their treasures; like a bull I have brought down those who sat on thrones. 14 My hand has found like a nest the wealth of the peoples; and as men gather eggs that have been forsaken so I have gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved a wing, or opened the mouth, or chirped.”
15 Shall the axe vaunt itself over him who hews with it, or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? As if a rod should wield him who lifts it, or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood! 16 Therefore the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will send wasting sickness among his stout warriors, and under his glory a burning will be kindled, like the burning of fire. 17 The light of Israel will become a fire, and his Holy One a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and briers in one day. 18 The glory of his forest and of his fruitful land the Lord will destroy, both soul and body, and it will be as when a sick man wastes away. 19 The remnant of the trees of his forest will be so few that a child can write them down.
The Repentant Remnant of Israel
20 In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean upon him that smote them, but will lean upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. 21 A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God. 22 For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, overflowing with righteousness. 23 For the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will make a full end, as decreed, in the midst of all the earth.
24 Therefore thus says the Lord, the Lord of hosts: “O my people, who dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrians when they smite with the rod and lift up their staff against you as the Egyptians did. 25 For in a very little while my indignation will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction. 26 And the Lord of hosts will wield against them a scourge, as when he smote Mid′ian at the rock of Oreb; and his rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it as he did in Egypt. 27 And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke will be destroyed from your neck.”
He has gone up from Rimmon, 28 he has come to Ai′ath; he has passed through Migron, at Michmash he stores his baggage; 29 they have crossed over the pass, at Geba they lodge for the night; Ramah trembles, Gib′e-ah of Saul has fled. 30 Cry aloud, O daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O La′ishah! Answer her, O An′athoth! 31 Madme′nah is in flight, the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety. 32 This very day he will halt at Nob, he will shake his fist at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
33 Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts will lop the boughs with terrifying power; the great in height will be hewn down, and the lofty will be brought low. 34 He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an axe, and Lebanon with its majestic trees will fall. — Isaiah 10 | Revised Standard Version (RSV) Revised Standard Version of the Bible, copyright © 1946, 1952, and 1971 the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. Remnant Church of Christians
If you’ve come to Spiritseid hunting a story, I’m going to tell you a good story that could save your life, so pay close attention: Hidden among the foliage of a certain forest, is a well-watered tree. It is overlooked by observant eyes looking at trees like it, because of all the ongoings in that diverse forest. Its branches have been spread over many beasts and birds in that forest since the…

And that's another thing. I reckon I've done a pretty decent job of excising the culturally Christian values from my mind (obvi not fully but getting there) but if theres one thing I do hold out hope in, it's a very obviously Christian angel swooping down from heaven to be my caretaker and hold my hand. I miss her where is she. Cant look at historical art of angels bcos I'm reminded of her and I get sad

Hi, it's binge-read anon again! I'm still going through the old posts and loving each and every one of it <3 And I saw the joke drawing of the fox saying hail satan, and it got me thinking: how does the veil belief system work? Do they believe in satan/a hell and a god/a heaven? What do they think happens to you after you die normally vs through the corruption (if that changes anything at all)?
Hello again, Binge-Read Anon! And, see, first off, you must understand, the fox is a card-carrying member of The Satanic Temple. He may be evil, sure, but his desire for freedom and equality make him an upstanding citizen. I do think in that exact panel edit Maia was squeezing a racoon, but the same applies to that little creature as well... except with the very notable difference in levels of Evil ( which the racoon is vastly more entrenched). When it comes to religion in the veil, we'll stick to the veil itself. I can't go into too much detail since this will be in the story, but the Veil once held a prominent religion of its own. It has largely fallen away through the years, by the influx of wards and the old mythos no longer seeming to make much sense to the denizens throughout. Yet, there are still parishes to be found playing host to small congregations. For the most part, the churches that do remain tend to keep their doors open for their intended services, but often play out community roles in honor and duty of their still-held beliefs. They're particularly popular on Saturdays, seeing as that's the day set aside for the lord Bagel, and are free to the public for as long as supply lasts. (Limit five per person--10 for larger maven or particularly hungry looking big fellas.)

remnant makoto would kill you with psychological warfare
The others would literally send makoto into a FF shelter or something only for him to walk back out covered in blood because he made one or two people in that shelter despair and it snowballed into a massive fight to the death from there.

If you follow us for rvb fanart I'm so sorry to tell you we pretty much never interact with the fandom because we're all from there as a source and everyone interprets everything differently than we do. We just do Not feel comfortable interacting with rvb fandom stuff most of the time since we feel like the show got a lot of shit wrong. Complicated relationship with source 💪

why is reading about traumatic things never like "yo there's hope that you can heal yourself if you keep informing yourself on what's going on in your psyche and feeling your feelings and confiding in people you trust and building healthy habits"
why is it always "if you have any mental health issues at all you're inherently broken and you can't be fixed unless you go to therapy."

𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭?
𝐀: “…No one can come to Me, unless The Father who sent Me draws them to Me. And only those who accept Me as I truly am are of My body, for The Truth resides within them and is revealed by their works. Yes, even these stumble in their walk, for they are but flesh.
Yet I am He who searches the hearts and minds, I know My own; I know whose love is steadfast, whose faith is unmoving...
And this is the True Church My people long for, the remnant which now is and is yet to come...
For it is not found outwardly in the world, but inwardly, in the temple of God...
I am The Lord.”

So I Don't Forget #2
I was going back through my old google drive and found a 17 page outline for an unwritten FE3H scifi AU. Honestly kindof similar vibes to the Mouthwashing game. Literally the outline/timeline was so in-depth and complicated that I had to google some of the stuff I was referencing for inspiration just to be sure. Anyway. I'm working on it now and I'm very excited. Absolutely no idea when it'll come out though lol
